Pizzeria Restaurant Veneziana in Wuppertal

I've really enjoyed eating there so far, just because of the service! Unfortunately, today I was disappointed for the first time. It wasn't possible to pay by card, the portions are getting smaller and smaller, the stupid sayings on the blackboard outside are getting STUPID (unfortunately there isn't a more appropriate term!) and even things that were a small custom like the ouzo after dinner are simply left out or forgotten. For me, this restaurant has always been a little escape from the fast pace of life. Unfortunately, it now feels like you are processed just as quickly as the small portions for which you pay so much money. Very sad.

It's been a while since my last review... Time for an update! For years we have been coming at least once a week to eat and drink delicious food. The Veneziana is a family business that is known for consistently good quality - in every respect. You are always welcome here, whether alone or in groups. You will be warmly welcomed here and your individual wishes will of course be fulfilled! It's always worth a visit!

Food is good. Very friendly bosses, the special things about the guests are valued

The first impression is of a chip shop, but as you walk further in you see large rooms where you can sit down. It is very well maintained and very clean (including the sanitary facilities). The menu is well sorted, with everything your heart desires. My favorite is the grill plate, which is incredibly good. Everything I've eaten there so far has been very tasty and fresh (salad). I can only speak highly and highly of the staff. Super friendly, quick on her feet and always a nice chat. The portions are large, with lots of meat and side dishes, and the salad is crisp and fresh. If you fancy something delicious from the grill, you should definitely eat there. The prices are moderate, not overpriced. Mmm, what can I say about this place? Food is ok, atmosphere is very nice. Whoever doesn't go is the waiter! You can see his mood as soon as you enter the restaurant! Wuppertal has around 200 restaurants! Why should I put up with his whims? A little tip: Keep your eyes open when choosing a career!

First time eating there and definitely won't repeat. We ordered food to pick up. The food was ready quickly (maybe even a little too quickly), but it was not edible. The gyro was one of the worst I've ever eaten. Soft, chewy and almost entirely fat, every piece. The fries, on the other hand, tasted like old fat, should have stayed in the deep fryer for a while and the mayonnaise was also borderline bad. All of this at a price where at least a hint of quality would be expected. Too bad.

Actually not worth the time to comment on today's experience. Was treated condescendingly and arrogantly by the father (owner/cook). When I asked if I could take the starter salad, which was ready to eat on the counter, to the table, I was told no, I should "calm down". When I asked, visibly upset, what that meant, I was told that I was "off track" today. I can't remember ever being treated so demeaningly and patronizingly in a restaurant. A guest should feel welcome and treated with respect. I missed this here, on the contrary, I couldn't enjoy my food at all and would have liked to leave immediately.

Tried it again after many years, just like before, arrogant service (owner) cell phones bother him, food well has been better. Eaten, order not complete and way too expensive. That was really the last time.

Ordered to take away: Small mixed salad for €4.50 too expensive for how small it really is; Pizza and tortellini didn't taste good and weren't even lukewarm.

Unfortunately the worst pizza I have ever eaten. Toppings like canned mushrooms and peppers and the dough was half cooked. Sorry, but not my thing. I've eaten cheaper and much better.

A very friendly gentleman served us very attentively. The atmosphere was very well maintained and clean. The only weak point: the soap dispenser in the toilet was empty. Or maybe just defective. Could only wash hands with water.

Very good service. The food was very tasty. It was rather too low for the quality... We'll definitely go there again. Maybe yes, when we visit something in the historic town hall again. It's only a short walk from Venezia.

So ganz nachvollziehen kann ich die guten Bewertungen nicht aber vielleicht ist es ja Tagesform. Also die Pizza hat den Ofen wohl nur gestreift, weder richtig warm noch kross und die Lasagne war sehr wässrig. Keine Kartenzahlung möglich und vor allem, kein Hinweis darauf! Ein Verweiß auf die Bank gegenüber kostet dann die Nerven und Gebühr für den Kunden. Zeitgemäß ist das meines Erachtens nicht. Wenigstens die Freundlichkeit kann ich bestätigen.

Ich bestelle oft zum Mitnehmen bei Veneziana und bisher war alles nicht nur super lecker, sondern auch in 10-15min nach Anruf abholbereit. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt zu 100% und das Personal ist immer gut gelaunt und freundlich.

Wir Essen immer wieder Gerne dort. Tolle griechische und italienische Küche. Super nettes familiäres Personal, immer für einen kleinen Smalltalk zu haben, wenn es die Gästesituation zulässt. Sehr sauberes und gepflegtes Restaurant. Essen wird schnell zubereitet und ist immer sehr lecker. Preis/Leistung stimmt! Immer Gerne wieder

Wir waren gegen 17.30 Uhr vor Ort mit 11 Personen. Die Bedienung kam sofort mit der Speicherkarte die Getränke kamen kurz nach der Bestellung. Essen ca 10 bis 15 Minuten danach und plötzlich wurde der Laden rappel voll auf die nächsten Getränke müssten wir lange warten weil nur eine Bedienung vor Ort war Essen war ganz gut.

Von außen sehr unscheinbar, aber innen drinnen unerwartet großräumig und schön. Service total nett und Essen (Gyros Pizza) ist auch lecker. Preis-/leistungstechnisch kann man nicht meckern. Bei der Gyros-Pizza: Auch wenn es fürs Auge schön ist, einen ganzen Salatlöffel Tzatziki auf der Pizzamitte zu haben, würde ich stattdessen empfehlen ein Schälchen dafür zu wählen. Die Pizza wird sonst zu schnell kalt und matschig...Aber das ist nur meine Meinung ✌️ Ich würde Alles geben für so ein Etablissement in meiner Gegend ❤️

Seit zwei Jahren besuche ich dieses Lokal. Das Essen ist einfach top und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Immer gerne wieder!!!

Die Oliven bei der Vorspeise waren sauer. Die Pizza war belegt mit Dosenpilzen. Eher ein Imbiss als ein Restaurant.

Essen wie immer gut und reichlich. Personal/Familie immer sehr Aufmerksam und freundlich.

Na teleurstelling dat een ander restaurant vol was. Veneziana uitgezocht en helemaal geen spijt. Super aardige mensen. Pizza besteld, en lekker pilsje erbij. Bediener was ook heel scherp op het drinksen dat was ook heel fijn. Na het eten kwam hij nog langs met de rekening en vroeg ons of we nog ozou te proberen een soort griekse sambuca. Was een zeer smakelijk. Jammer dat we alweer vertrekken naar NL maar anders zeker vaker!

Ich bin heute nach langer Zeit mal wieder dort gewesen und war vollkommen enttäuscht. Kein Vergleich zu früher. Mir wurde ein Schnitzel präsentiert, von dem ich den Eindruck hatte, es handelt sich um Pansen. Einfach nur eklig. Schade, war mal eine gute Adresse. Die Preise sind auch nicht mehr ok. Kein Besuch mehr wert.

Freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung

Wurden heute sehr enttäuscht, erst wurden wir von der flächigen Bedienung gleich geduzt mit "mein Freund" und auf Anfrage nach einer kleineren Portionen "Gyros überbacken" sehr hochnäsig übergangen es gibt nur eine größe Auflaufform. Das überbackene Gyros was zudem einfach nur trocken und nicht essbar. Es war unser LETZTER Besuch in diesem Lokal.

Gut und preiswert, nur die Lage direkt an der Strasse ist etwas störend, wenn man draussen sitzen möchte. Daher nur 4 Sterne.

Wir kennen Chriss seit dem er da ist, er hat den Laden voll im Griff nie lang auf Essen oder Trinken gewartet ist immer freundlich und hält auch gern mal ein Pläuschchen. Das Bifteki ist das Beste ever. Und er hat auch das Recht pünktlich Feierabend machen zu dürfen Manche Rezensionen kann man nicht nachvollziehen. Bleibt so wie Ihr seit👍

Ein richtig gutes Restaurant, köstliches Essen und ein mega Service! Ich komme immer gerne hierher! Selbst kurz vor Feierabend zaubert der Inhaber noch voll motiviert etwas auf den Teller! Vor allem der Sohn des Hauses zaubert einem ein Lächeln auf das Gesicht! Ich komme gerne immer wieder!

Waren schon mehrfach dort, alles sehr Lecker. Die Inhaber sind immer freundlich und stets zuvorkommend! Preislich auch völlig in Ordnung! Wirklich ein sehr empfehlenswertes Lokal!

Das Essen ist eher normal, nichts besonderes vom Geschmack. Etwas wenig gewürzt das Hänchen und der Brokkoli. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich. Keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Bank allerdings gegenüber. Sehr große Speisekarte.

We ate dinner here and it was a pleasant experience. The Staff is mostly Greek and this used to be a Greek restaurant, which now is an Italian restaurant due to family relationships. Our friendly waiter was happy to chat with us for a while and explain the history of the restaurant. In any case, I thought the pizza tasted just fine. No issue there. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The menu has lots of Greek and Italian food, and some German food. Recommended to try at least once.

Wir waren gestern auf Grund eines Konzert-Besuches in Wuppertal und beim Bummeln vor dem Konzert kamen wir zufällig an diesem Restaurant vorbei. Es ist bestimmt keine einfache "Pommes-Bude", sondern die Speisen waren ausgezeichnet. Die Bedienung war auch super-freundlich, dass wir bestimmt in nächster Zeit öfters mit der Bahn nach Elberfeld fahren werden, um uns dort verwöhnen zu lassen!
