We had seen the wonderful report on HR and were very excited when we arrived from Mainz. We really weren't disappointed. The pizza was great, especially the "heart" of every good pizza, namely the dough. But the ingredients of the pizza were also extremely tasty. The risotto was a hit. Great and fresh seafood, great and "unpretentious" risotto (no cream, as it should be!) The service was terrific: fast, extremely friendly and gave great advice (wine, but also how to prepare the risotto). And there was an espresso on the house, thanks for that. At the end I had to speak to Paolo himself (especially after the great report) and he is really as portrayed there: warm, genuine, a great restaurateur who obviously cares about the well-being of his guests. It was wonderful with you and if we didn't have to drive from Mainz, you would already be one of our regulars. But we will definitely see each other again! Best regards Patrick P.S. The risotto came a little later, so we had already "eaten" the pizza. And my wife, of all people, as a “non-pizza eater” was totally thrilled. Just like me, a short time later, as a "non-risotto eater" from risotto! Great!

An unplanned trip to frankfurt due to flight delays and a ceoliac adult and child finding Pizzeria Paolo was a blessing. Amazing food eaten here for 4 days straight not been ill once. Add €4 on to each gluten free dish. Very helpful friendly staff. Affordable. Clean just wonderful. Options Gluten free Pizzas and gluten free penna dishes.

Excellent pasta! Great service!

Despite a reservation by phone, there was no table in the restaurant. Unfortunately, after the four of us sat outside - despite the rainy weather - the food wasn't convincing either. That was the last time!

Unfortunately I received an old, wilted lettuce. Unfortunately, when asked, they only said that the salad was okay, although it was visibly soggy. The reaction is very unfortunate and disappointing.

This restaurant treats the customer like a waiter. As a group, we were beaten twice. We were later informed that the incident would be resolved via email. There was no reaction then. Originally my order was forgotten and the cannelloni wasn't finished.

Vor dem Konzert noch was essen? Perfektes Restaurant. Netter Service. Leckere Pizza und Pasta. Von außen ein eher sehr unscheinbares Restaurant. Haben auf der Terrasse gesessen. Samstag Nachmittag um 17 Uhr. Aber als wir zum Bezahlen durch das Restaurant gingen, waren alle Plätze belegt. Auch die Terrasse. Viele kamen vorbei und haben sich die Pizza abgeholt.

I ordered a pizza and it was already in my hands, I went to pay for it and they took it out of my hands and told me to go get money and come back to pay, as they only accept card payments over 15 euros. I found this situation very disrespectful, and the worst thing is that it was the owner of the restaurant who did this. I will not go to this restaurant anymore.

Today we had a reservation for 6:30 p.m. as a couple and were there at 6:20 p.m. We didn't get a table because several larger groups had registered. We had to leave again, there wasn't even an apology or anything like that. Absolutely not suitable for dates or other romantic evenings.

I came for the gluten free pizza. So in advance it is of course great that they offer this, but I find it difficult that the surcharge is not advertised anywhere and that when you pay you are very surprised at the high price. Some transparency for such a niche product would be great. On the one hand, the gluten-free pizza was very small in contrast to the normal pizzas with flour and on the other hand, it tasted and looked like a ready-made dough that was then topped with the ingredients, which really only tasted okay. When we wanted to pay, the waiter said that this was only possible at the cash register. There I named the products I had consumed and found out the price verbally. I came to a whopping €25, so the surcharge for a margherita must have been between €4-5, which I find completely overpriced and the gentleman didn't offer us the bill afterwards, which was very strange in my opinion. So the food is certainly very tasty for normal people. The atmosphere is nice and the waiters are nice, but when it comes to gluten they could really do with a lot more transparency and effort.

The food is ok, but a bit overpriced for the quality. The service wasn't attentive, but nice.

Overall, good food. Notwithstanding, when one goes to an Italian restaurant, you expect to have pizza slices perfectly cut, but in this case, they were kind of curved. On the other hand, if you do not speak German or Italian, the man who seems to be the owner doesn't even say "thank you." (thing he did with other tables, of course).

Food was good. However, it's certainly not a good place to eat comfortably.

We arrived in Frankfurt late and hungry and everywhere was closed. I saw the owner putting chairs away and when he saw me with my young son he took pity and invited us in. The chef made us two pizzas, a margarita for my son and a mushroom pizza for me. We got a beer and coke while we waited. The people there were warm and friendly and the atmosphere was really genuine. We took the pizzas back to our hotel and they were incredible!! Thanks for saving the day and for the amazing food. 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The pizza is delicious and it’s served in a big portion. The Paolini Spritz tastes really good. Prices are average but good for the portions.

Food was generally good. Shrimps were a little tiny but paste tasted good. Champion Pizza needs more ingredient. Nice spacious table for dine in.

The pizza was ice cold and when I asked Paolo I was mocked and blamed on the driver, who according to the map had a journey of 4 minutes, which means the pizza was already handed over cold. I was advised not to have it delivered.

I just wanted to order a gluten-free pizza from Lieferando and unfortunately forgot to check the box for “gluten-free”. Since you unfortunately cannot cancel (or change!) orders from Lieferando after payment has been completed, the staff on the phone was very nice and accommodated me. I'm more than grateful for that, as it's difficult to find restaurants with gluten-free food anyway. So a big THANK YOU! The pizza has yet to be delivered, but it will definitely taste good :) Definitely recommended based on this positive experience!

Italian Restaurant Good restaurant for a simple lunch for a reasonable price. The food wasn't fantastic but it did the work, considering a lower price compared to down-town restaurants.

We were here today with 8 people. We ate pizza and various pasta dishes. Everything tasted very good. Price wise completely ok. Would eat there again in a heartbeat.

We were there with a very large group. But the food was brought very quickly. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The pizza was actually really good. Lovely again.

Starter platter was great but overpriced in our opinion. Had the Pizza Liga Campioni, which was quite tasty and the size was wow, only the Torteloni Verdie weren't that great. At an Italian restaurant I expect the pasta to be at least aldente and not raw, as if it has only seen the water for a short time. The taste was good. I can recommend the restaurant for good and tasty pizza, but unfortunately not for the pasta. Restaurant not accessible to disabled people, toilets in the basement can only be reached via stairs.

Very delicious pasta! I think it’s the best pasta I’ve ever had. Also the price of bacon cream sauce pasta is only 11€, cheap but very tasty. Great beer. Nice waiters. Everything was wonderful.

I am happy to leave this review to Mr Paolo and his restaurant. Calabrese from Corigliano immediately welcomed us with kindness. The place is pleasant, the background music is typically Italian. The dishes are plentiful and well cooked, the pizzas are good. We had a good time, we'll be back

Delicious, gluten-free pizza and pasta (penne is also gluten-free). The service is very attentive, the restaurant is easily accessible by public transport and we would be happy to come back.

Despite the lack of quality, we had to pay the full price of the pizza. Tuna pizza was not touched. Unfriendly staff. A pity!

Unfortunately for us it was the only visit to Paolo. There were five of us and one of us has celiac disease. We ordered drinks, 2 gluten-free pizza breads and a gluten-free pizza and pasta. The noodles didn't come with any drinks, if you asked, you would order again. Asked about the gluten-free pizza breads, which are supposed to be at the front, and the pizza. That came when everyone else was already finished. They were probably forgotten too. We sat in the back where the oven was, but everything was far too loud and not comfortable. No idea how many waiters, but nothing worked. Unfortunately, the pizza tossed in parmesan with truffles wasn't as good as we're used to from other Italians.

I had a “gluten-free” pizza, unfortunately it was probably not gluten-free or at least contaminated! Now I'm lying flat in terrible pain. Those affected by celiac disease please be careful...

The Pizzeria Paolo is an Italian gastronomy restaurant. The choice of Italian dishes is wide between pastas, pizzas, risottos and vegetables. Everything is home-cooked and the pizzas are cooked in a wood-fired oven. There's also German draft beer in this restaurant. The restaurant has a terrace in front of the restaurant and two rooms inside, the first is on the entrance side and the second is on the pizza oven side. There's very little parking space nearby because the restaurant is located in a residential area and opposite the police station. It's best to reserve for dinner on Friday or Saturday. There's nothing to say about the quality-price and quantity ratio.

Ate super good gluten-free pizza and pizza bread - without any consequences. This was addressed straight away when we made the reservation and we were reassured.

Unfortunately, this restaurant uses ready-made tomato sauce, which tastes very sweet and artificial on the pizza. Ingredients are very inferior, for example bacon instead of Serrano ham. You would be better served with a ready-made pizza. There are real pizzerias within 300m. Don't even get me started on the service...

Definitely my favorite when it comes to Italian restaurants in Frankfurt.

Catastrophe, Cucina Italiano is playing at its finest on HR television, but nothing is playing in the restaurant. Service forgets everything and is overwhelmed. Food is a mush, instead of tortellini, gnocchi comes ready in gorgonzola paste. Pasta with beef fillet, comes as cheap goulash meat??? Bread is old and hard. Ambience like a train station hall. This only works in Germany, in a culinary desert. You have to pay in the pizzeria.

Small but nice! The gluten-free pizza is excellent and the win in “My Local - Your Local” is more than deserved.

The mixed starter plate, which the host suggested as a starter when handing out the cards, is by far the most expensive thing you can order here at €22.50!!! That's probably why this appetizer isn't on the menu, just to be on the safe side! 😡 For our group of 11, that was just €250.00 for a small starter with 1 piece of each type. There seems to be a system here so that you can still make money despite the cheaper pizzas (10 to 15 €). 🫤

Wir reservierten einen Tisch für 18:30 und trafen auch pünktlich ein. Gegen 19:45 stand der Geschäftsführer/Besitzer am Tisch, fragte ob wir noch etwas bestellen möchten, ansonsten sollten wir bitte bezahlen, da der Tisch ab 20:00 für andere Kunden reserviert sei...... Dass wurde uns bei der Reservierung nicht mitgeteilt. Also, für einen schönen Abend ist das wohl nicht die geeignete Location.

Very tasty pizza at a fair price. You can taste that fresh ingredients are used here and that the work is done with a lot of love. The quality is really very good and the staff is extremely friendly. Waiting time for 6 people max. 10 minutes. Atmosphere is okay, it is very loud when the store is full but that is just due to the size. If I'm in FFM again I'll come back. By the way, there is also delicious Italian beer. Keep it up!!!

The reservation for my daughter's birthday at the restaurant was for eight children and three adults. We sat outside on the covered patio, which made the ambience pleasant. However, the service was a bit distant. Although we ordered a variety of pizzas, they weren't particularly impressive compared to my experiences in Frankfurt. I've definitely had better pizzas in the city.

Service Kathasphe, the guy can't remember anything. Not even simple black tea with lemon. Then we had to call a waiter. Then order again and there were two of us. In the end we had 3 cellars to make a normal order. No extra requests. Had ordered liver and fish, fish (small piece) was not cooked at all. Went back and fried the rest again. Liver was sour. So I don't know who writes such great reviews here? 🤦🏻‍♀️ ‼PLEASE DON'T EAT LIVE OR FISH THERE ‼ NOT RECOMMENDED ‼‼ It's just a shame to get such junk for the price.

OK Italian place. Pizzas are not bad, but it’s not real wood-fired oven, it’s gas-fired oven, which is not the same on the crust for pizza connaisseurs.

Been there many times. Great food, quick service, good prices. Gluten allergy sufferers are also catered for. No matter whether pizza or pasta. Everything delicious. Update February 2024 still delicious. WE RECOMMEND. I haven't found a better Italian place. Thank you for the great evening.

The entrance is convenient, even with a child in a stroller. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff is polite. But: - Payment by card only from €15 and only at the bar counter. It is not possible at the table. - too loud for a sleeping child in a stroller. - the pizza was burnt, and I waited for it for 20-25 minutes with incomplete seating in the hall. Came here for dinner, warmly welcome by the staff. Great hospitality and felt like home. Extensive menu with good number of choices. Ordered the mushroom pizza which was fantastic 👌🏻 We ordered 2 carbonara duo, which came out two different carbonara. Checked with the staff, and they told me it’s the same, one is Germany style another Italian. I accepted it as I’m not choosy, but I’ll prefer my bacon to be pancetta instead of bacon. But I still enjoyed my pasta. Aglio olio was fantastic as well as the frutti di mare. However the tagliatelle didn’t meet the expectation. It was a little bit undercooked. Tiramisu lack volume and was too thin. But overall the meals were good. Will come back again definitely if I ever visit Frankfurt.
