Pizzeria Märchenwald in Osnabrück

Yesterday, we had booked a table for about 20 people well in advance for a staff Christmas party. It started at 6:30 pm, and by 7 pm the first four had their drinks. The rest were ignored for the next hour. Waving and trying to get their attention later on was to no avail. Then came the food order, another 1.5-hour wait, followed by increased commotion after we politely inquired about the food. The last ones finally got their food at 9:15 pm… and I got my second (!) glass of wine. In between, we were "treated" to a riotous, very loud team celebration by an Osnabrück soccer team in purple and white. They were belting out deafening music, shouting, cheering each other on, and constantly standing on chairs and benches. Apparently, everyone had to perform a song, which was then played at full volume for the rest of the packed restaurant to hear. Rarely have I experienced such an unpleasant and inconsiderate atmosphere as I did that evening in that establishment! I left my second glass unfinished and departed early. Hopefully, the fact that the aforementioned team lost an important match at the Bremer Brücke stadium the following day (December 6th) wasn't due to the previous evening, because I refuse to believe that professional footballers party like that before a game. It probably wasn't the first team (I trust my common sense). No server apologized for a) the lack of attention, b) the delayed drinks and significantly delayed food, or c) the noise from the footballers. There was also no offer of compensation, such as a free drink or anything similar. This is how restaurants should operate – but I won't be going back to "Corleone" in the future.

The Hawaiian pizza was delicious. I'd gladly order again.

We were there in mid-October 2025 with a reservation for a Saturday evening. It was a complete disaster: We were treated ignorantly by unmotivated, listless students. The facts: Orders were taken by guests who arrived after us, despite eye contact. We were completely ignored. After 30 minutes, we left. Hire decent staff! We'd gladly pay a little extra for it.

Delicious food, great selection, and excellent service. The preparation for our Christmas party was incredibly professional. We even chose our food in advance. I especially appreciated being addressed by name! Keep up the good work! :)

An Italian restaurant in Osnabrück with a mix of Italian and pub atmosphere. The pizza was inexpensive and delicious, the glass of Coke was filled to the brim (great!), and the service was friendly and attentive. However, some things were a bit unprofessional. The table wasn't set or clean upon arrival, and when the cutlery sets were handed out in napkins, one fork was missing from the set. The restrooms are also in dire need of renovation, and it was rather odd that we were the only guests at 1 p.m. on a Saturday. There were also far too many pictures hanging in the room, two-thirds of which were crooked. Overall, a fun but enjoyable visit, which was especially worthwhile considering the price through CityForTwo.
