We were there on New Year's Eve with 6 people and had booked the menu. It was tasty and versatile. The service was courteous and very attentive. The ambience was appropriate for the occasion. We felt comfortable and would love to come back.

Very great evening... everyone put in a lot of effort.

As we sat at the table, tables were carried past us outside and we sat with the door wide open. The table was pre-booked - it could have been done long ago. The food came at the same time for everyone and it was good. When we didn't want to order anything else, someone came and asked if one of us could sit on the bench because we needed one of our chairs. Was fine because we were finished eating. Then we (7 people) wanted to pay, but they couldn't do it. So one of us paid everything and we estimated what we would have had to pay to get us apart. Two of us still had drinks in our glasses when one of our tables was wanted. Which of course we no longer accepted. That was simply impossible and we certainly won't go there again. It couldn't be more uncomfortable.

The best Italian restaurant in Osnabrück

Very friendly staff, would love to eat again

The four of us went to Lotta for the first time at the weekend. We became aware of the restaurant because of its high Google ratings. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table opposite the bar. Unfortunately, the passage between the table and the bar was so narrow that some of our friends, who were sitting with their backs to the bar, were bumped into each other. You can call service using a cube-shaped device at the table, which is very practical, but in my opinion it shouldn't be necessary given the size of the restaurant. We each ordered the mixed starter plate (for two people), which was definitely very generous in quantity. The dips and bread were delicious, as were the grilled vegetables. The olives and the tomato mozzarella were not convincing, so we found the price of almost €30 too high. The main courses (pizza, pasta and salad) were good value for money. What should be highlighted positively is that special requests were taken into account. During the payment process we were presented with a QR code asking us to leave a Google review. As a courtesy, my friend scanned this so I could leave a review later. However, when the waitress saw that an assessment was not made immediately, she asked if my friend did not have internet access. The manner was very unpleasant and invasive, so that you were almost forced to make an assessment. It is best to have the staff approve this beforehand. Unfortunately, this left a bad impression on us. If this is done this way with every payment process, I can also see the high number of reviews. We decided not to eat there again.

It's worth it, I'm extremely satisfied

I've eaten at Lotta several times with friends and we've always enjoyed it. The prices are also absolutely reasonable. What surprised me, however, was that we discovered by chance that tips were not paid out to the trainees! I am sure that we have been served in a really friendly and attentive manner several times and we have tipped us every time. But who got that then?? I worked as a waiter myself for a long time and the tip was always shared by the waitress and kitchen staff who were working that day. This should be reconsidered!

We had our 40th graduation meeting at LOTTA and everything was perfect: the organization ran smoothly over the phone and email, the evening itself was great with delicious food and, above all, extremely attentive service that you rarely experience today. Clear recommendation for a nice meal for two or for a celebration and the like! The location is also perfect, just a few steps from the old town.

Unfortunately the 'City for Two' voucher was not accepted. The voucher states that it is valid on any day of the week. However, we were told in the restaurant that this information was incorrect and that the voucher could only be redeemed on three days a week. Unfortunately our visit fell on a Friday when the voucher was not valid.

I was actually really looking forward to visiting this restaurant. I've wanted to go there for a long time because I was looking for a place to hold a small company party. It was supposed to be something special, and it was, but in a negative sense! The good thing first, the wine wasn't the worst! However, the still water we ordered was served in a pretty bottle with the Lotta logo. “Water manufacturer” is not known. After asking several times (after an hour) where the starter was, my main course (salad) arrived after an hour. My husband's starter was nowhere to be seen. After repeatedly asking, they wanted to bring me my husband's main course and then the starter afterwards! Um, what? Appetizer?! The excuse was that the chef was sick. But that shouldn't be at the expense of the guest, right? The quality of the main course wasn't even snack quality. The chicken fillet in my salad was so dry that it tore apart when I cut it. And the missing dressing did the rest! I then let him go back untouched. I didn't eat anything because I was just so full and disappointed. My husband's pizza (Gamberetti for €17.49) was topped with 2 (!!!) Gambas! So actually a Margherita pizza with 4 half shrimps!!!! After 3 bites, my husband pushed the pizza aside and didn't eat any more. And that has never happened with him! Nevertheless, this was fully charged. We then ordered a dessert. Panna cotta. We were offered to have this paid on the house. We gladly accepted the offer, hoping for a more pleasant end to the evening at Lotta. However, it was pudding in a glass and tasted so much like additives that it was also inedible. The staff were simply helpless in the face of the situation and were completely overwhelmed. When asked if they weren't afraid of a restaurant tester, the answer was that they didn't know what a restaurant tester was. Oh dear! I'm aware that there are currently staff shortages everywhere, but a little knowledge would be an advantage. But as written, the wine wasn't bad! The Lotta was a complete disappointment! I'm very surprised at the many positive reviews. (Free drink ;-)) The answers to 1 and 2 star reviews are standard phrases and an improvement is promised! Well, you can always promise yourself. Or in this case, under every bad review! Maybe Lotta should switch to a bar-only operation? P.S. The sweet potato fries are recommended, otherwise the review wouldn't have worked. I didn't have the fries, but I'm assuming they're at least OK!

The chef doesn’t speak German and so the food took for ever. We didn’t receive it at the end and left. The cocktails were just water and wine.

Unfortunately we waited almost an hour for the appetizer and drinks. We didn't get back to the main course because the waiting time would have been far too long.

The pizza was ok, but not a highlight either. Unfortunately, the service boss was very pushy and sometimes simply interfered in our conversations. He also really showed off the trainees. It has to be said that the trainees were very nice and attentive and probably didn't need his “help”. Overall we didn't feel comfortable and won't come again.

We celebrated our 40th birthday there, the service was extremely friendly. There were 3 things when eating or drinking that were not satisfactory, but they were immediately replaced in a friendly manner and brought back. So we had a great birthday with super nice service staff. Thanks again! I would happily recommend it.

The young trainee was courteous and very friendly. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. The Lotta Burger was nicely prepared, but the meat was reminiscent of cheap frozen food quality. And since the side dishes have to be ordered separately, the hamburger was definitely too expensive. More attention should be paid to the quality of the ingredients.

I've been here many times, but today was the last time. I will never enter this store again. The food was very bad. Service bad. Everything minus in the store and we didn't even eat our food and they cheekily charged the full price. Drinks spilled on clothes while being served. So never again. The store is going down the drain

The food tasted good, unfortunately the side salad was extremely spicy (inedible), that was a mistake on the part of the kitchen. In general I find the prices of the food a bit expensive for what you get.

The LOTTA is a great restaurant in Osnabrück. Great food, great service and a nice ambience - and then also the live music to match. We would be happy to come back with our acoustic duo Jenni&Jakob at any time! :-)
