A real pizzeria with everything you'd expect. Absolutely delicious pizza and super friendly service.

A cozy Italian restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic and the prices were reasonable. We felt very comfortable. If it says spicy, then it really is spicy 🥵. We'll definitely come back!

It's always funny how many idiots write reviews on Google here… the restaurant is quaint and cozy. The food is excellent and definitely the best pizza around. It's sad that a few frustrated people are dragging a restaurant's reputation through the mud like this. Keep up the good work, you're doing a great job and we'll definitely be back.

It's OK - nothing special, but I wouldn't eat there again.

They advertise having the best pizza in town. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food; sharing a pizza isn't really encouraged. They charge extra for an additional plate, and especially for families with children or elderly guests, this isn't exactly a welcoming place. It's a shame because the restaurant itself is lovely.

The pizza was good, but the pasta is not recommended. The pasta al forno wasn't what was promised (a huge drama for the small child). The lasagna was burnt around the edges and cold in the middle.

Average. The selection of cooked food is very pizza-heavy. The pizza was very good. The service was friendly. However, they charged €2.50 each for two glasses of tap water when ordering wine at the same time. Quite steep… And cash only. Outdated and leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Supposedly the best pizza in town – unfortunately, the worst vegetarian pizza I've ever eaten. The crust and base were burnt, hard, and tasteless. The second dish, roasted vegetables with goat cheese, was the same, served with a thin white sauce and equally bland. I also ordered a cappuccino (the cup was slightly larger than an espresso cup) for €4.50. In short: a rip-off for tourists who won't be coming back anyway. The taciturn waiter said the quality was as usual/normal, while the owner was friendlier and at least apologized. The ambiance was lovely, but that didn't make the food any better. Absolutely not recommended!

We were in Lindau at the beginning of October and stumbled upon this pizzeria by chance. The food is truly top-notch, and the service is more than you'd expect. It had a very family-friendly atmosphere. When the manager found out I wanted to celebrate my birthday there, they promptly postponed the company holiday by a day so I could have a nice birthday. What restaurant does that for "normal tourists" these days? I was even given a gift. There were only two of us and a dog (who was also lovingly cared for), so it couldn't have been due to high business volume. I've never been welcomed with such warmth in a restaurant before!!! I can't understand any of the negative reviews. If I were in Lindau again, this pizzeria would be my first choice; I highly recommend it. Some reviews have described it as a bit of a vacation; I agree, and I'd also like to add the friendly, almost family-like aspect.

Unfortunately, the service was very unfriendly and completely inflexible, which we're not used to from an "Italian" restaurant! The manager insulted the waiter in front of us, a complete no-go!! We were there with our grandchildren (7 and 5) and wanted to eat something. When we asked if they could make a small pizza for our youngest, the owner said it wasn't possible! The sauce in my spaghetti Bolognese was very strange, and two hours later I noticed it (it was probably not fresh and overcooked). When paying, no card was accepted; only cash. There was no note on the menu or on the board outside, even though the manager claimed it was!! We won't be visiting this restaurant again in the future.

I stumbled upon this pizzeria quite by chance, as a reservation at another restaurant wasn't confirmed. What I experienced was a unique experience: The pizza was truly delicious, and the ambiance far surpassed anything I'd ever experienced. It was so rustic, with stone walls. The lights were dim. Wow! I can 100% recommend this cozy pizzeria. We went there with friends. We sat outside. It was simply cozy. It's a pretty little alley. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. If you're in Lindau, you absolutely have to stop by. We had a great evening.

There was a sign on Maximilianstraße that read, "90% of customers say this is the best pizza." If you stay objective, it's tasteless, greasy, and not lovingly prepared. The service was snippy when I expressed my criticism objectively, and they ended up gossiping about me and my companion at the bar, which couldn't be ignored. They only accept cash payments, which makes me very suspicious... I can't recommend this place even if everything were closed. I need to change a few things!

The restaurant delivers on its promise. The downside, however, is that they only accept cash payments, and you only find out when you ask for the bill. As far as I know, paying with cash as the only payment option is not only outdated but also no longer practiced correctly.

Unfortunately, this is pretty much my worst restaurant experience in my entire life: No website to preview the menu, and when I get there: inside, it looks like a bar, and they basically only serve pizza. An Italian restaurant that doesn't make pasta? I had a salad, and my companion had a pizza that was poorly sliced, tasted bland, and wasn't even prepared in a stone oven. The salad wasn't quite as fresh and was too salty. The cutlery is the cheapest I had 20 years ago, and the metal element in the plastic handle is just as wobbly. The second fork at my table was simply a bent steak fork. The orange juice I ordered came with ice cubes (also never seen in a restaurant), and the large cappuccino I ordered came in a tiny cup. Not offering card payments in 2025 is simply backward and completely unfriendly to customers. To me, it seems like a relic from the past and anything but serious. My criticism was listened to, but completely ignored – nothing has changed. In the end, I still had to pay almost €50 for a service that was disappointing in quality, overpriced, and disproportionate to the price. For me, this is a prime example of how to frustrate guests instead of satisfying them. I was also left alone with the receipt when I started laughing after being told it was cash only, so I don't know if I should have just left, or what? According to the "server," who could have been a random, rude person off the street, it was written at the entrance and on the menu. I checked the menu for pasta and didn't see anything about cash payments. But yes, it is written at the entrance: a small sign on a black background attached to the entrance door on the left, in front of a black wall - what a coincidence. I would never enter this business again—well, I don't know exactly what it's supposed to be, it's not a bar, it's not an Italian restaurant, and it's not really a pizzeria either. In general, I'll be careful not to enter any establishment that doesn't accept card payments; that seems opaque and irritating to me personally. That's what happens when you don't have much time and decide to go to the shop in the side street where there is nothing going on instead of waiting for a seat at an obviously well-run restaurant nearby.

Since the menu only offered pizza as a main course, we should have left. Unfortunately, we decided to eat something at this restaurant after all. And then a tough, almost impossible-to-cut, and rather tasteless pizza arrived on the table. With the cheap plastic cutlery, it was almost impossible to cut the pizza. Conclusion: This "pizzeria" is not recommended.

We loved the ambiance and atmosphere. The pizzas were an 8.5 out of 10. But that's only because I'm into pizza making myself, and my pizza is a 10. 😉 The service and the rest of the staff were very friendly, and we felt welcome. All in all, I can't say anything negative.

Unbelievable what happened today! My mother and I just wanted to have a quick bite to eat in the evening, as we'd already eaten something larger at lunch. We arrived at the restaurant, ordered a drink, and wanted to share a pizza and a salad. The menu even stated "there's a charge of €2 for an additional plate." I don't like that, but it's okay, we'll accept it. We order the pizza and salad, then the waitress (presumably the owner) says they won't do it, they need the seats, and if we don't both order a main course, we should sit at the counter. Unbelievable, we've never experienced anything like that before. We then finished our drinks at the counter and left the restaurant. The couple at the next table were equally horrified. Never again! So unfriendly!

The pizzas were very greasy. The manager said they were just like that with mozzarella. The manager made fun of us to other customers and made negative comments. She silently slammed the bill on the table because we called the food greasy. I would never go there again.

Just pizza! Something else would be too much to overwhelm the chef. We've been to many Italian restaurants...but a menu exclusively featuring pizza is unfortunately too boring and doesn't give much away about the cooking skills. Our own advertising on signs: for 90% of guests, the best pizza in Lindau. It may be that I wasn't paying attention during basic arithmetic in school...we asked seven people during our vacation here...and for four, it was definitely not the best pizza...but of course, anyone can say that. We got up again.

Disappointing visit despite big promises – definitely not the best pizza in Lindau! The restaurant confidently advertises itself as the "best pizza in Lindau" – unfortunately, my experience was quite different. I ordered a pizza with walnuts, plums, mozzarella, and Gorgonzola, although I wanted to replace the Gorgonzola with goat cheese. Instead, I got a completely different pizza than the one listed on the menu, with pear, onions, and cheese – so obviously a mix-up. When I politely pointed this out, the waitress (I suspect the manager) initially reacted extremely rudely and clearly reprimanded me, saying I had ordered exactly that. Then she realized she had written it down incorrectly. I told her I'd eat it anyway, that no pizza would end up in the trash, whereupon she put a few walnuts on top of my pizza – that was it. The taste was also absolutely average, nothing special! And paying almost €20 for this pizza is absolutely overpriced. My partner had a Funghi pizza with extra cheese, which cost a whopping €2.50 extra. However, we didn't see the extra cheese on the pizza at all. Instead of apologizing for the misunderstanding or perhaps offering a small concession (e.g., a free espresso), I was told when paying that my "extra cheese" (which was actually just a substitution) would normally have cost €2.50 – but that they had "waived" this amount. The Aperol Spritz tasted stale, which wasn't surprising after I saw that the water was served with the last remnants of an opened Aldi water bottle. In addition, payment is only possible in cash. Some guests had to quickly go to the bank to pay, which isn't appropriate these days! The next day we ate at Da Capo in Lindau – the pizza there tasted worlds better, and the service was friendly and professional. If you want to eat really good pizza in Lindau, you should definitely go there. Conclusion: Bad service, mediocre food, no goodwill – I would not recommend this restaurant.

Rude owner (you'll find the same in many reviews). We wanted to pay by credit card since we use other currencies where we live. In response, she used very aggressive tones and gestures to tell us that it would be our responsibility to verify that credit card payments were not possible (there was actually no obvious warning). I happened to have euros on hand, so we resolved the issue quickly. The pizza my companion ordered was mediocre. The tuna salad, however, required excess oil (not olive oil) to be drained. It's a shame; the restaurant's location was very pleasant, but it didn't leave us with a good memory.

In a side street, we came across some self-promotion: 90 percent of customers claim it's the best pizza ever. Everything is handmade and made with the finest ingredients. Then came the pale pizza, which hadn't been exposed to enough heat. The crust wasn't soggy, but it wasn't exciting and tasted like yeast dough. Blackened olives... definitely not a high-quality ingredient. Tuna: average quality canned food. I can make a better pizza with €3 ingredients from the supermarket. The tables for two are so small that two pizzas and drinks barely fit on them; definitely don't order more or ask for a pepper mill. When we told the waitress how we liked it, she was completely shocked, even though there are so many similarly bad reviews here that I have to commend her acting skills. For that, and for that alone, 5 stars.

Super delicious pizza. There's a large selection, including some unusual ones, on the menu. The service was very friendly, and everything was quick. I would deduct half a point for the rather high prices, but the restaurant deserves 4.5 stars. We would come again.

The service during our visit was unfortunately not particularly friendly either. !! I would strongly advise olive oil lovers and connoisseurs not to use the "olive oil" at the table. You can avoid another disappointment. Otherwise, a nice atmosphere.

Attracted by the eye-catching pavement sign on the "Boulevard" in Lindau, designed to charmingly lure passersby into a romantic side street, we decided to give the advertised pizzeria a try. "The best pizza in Lindau" – or a similarly ambitious claim – was emblazoned on the sign and aroused high expectations. As a lover of Italian cuisine and a passionate pizza fan who has traveled many a distance for a good pizza – and has also worked as a pizzaiolo myself – I allow myself to claim a certain degree of expertise in this field. Our expectations of this small restaurant were correspondingly high. The menu is pleasantly concise: classic, simple Italian dishes and a wide selection of pizzas. The ambiance and service were solid – but the pizza, unfortunately, was only average. Of course, the dough is a matter of debate, as there are many different preferences and preparation methods. But for a truly good pizza, the quality of the ingredients – especially the toppings and the cheese used – is paramount. In this case: Fior di Latte or at least a high-quality mozzarella. The Quattro Stagioni was generously filled, but unfortunately with inferior supermarket salami and cheap ready-made mozzarella from a wholesaler – the kind you unfortunately find at 90% of "standard pizzerias" in Germany. Conclusion: All in all, the visit was okay – a solid meal in a nice little restaurant. But what was offered was far from "one of the best pizzas in Lindau," as the pavement sign promises. The expectations raised were not met – and that's precisely what leaves a bitter aftertaste.

In a small alley in Lindau, you're suddenly in Italy. A few seats are set up outside... a wonderful Italian atmosphere! The food was excellent! We had a pizza that was exactly what a pizza should be. The tuna salad was fresh in all its ingredients, with great vinegar and oil... all in all, high quality in terms of the food, the service, and the atmosphere! Highly recommended.

Beste Pizza in Lindau hat uns geködert, obwohl wir eigentlich sonst skeptisch sind. Wir bestellen 2 Bier und eine Margherita als snack. Die Pizza kommt und ich frage nach der Pfeffermühle. Diese kommt nicht also nehme ich ein Stück. Für mich ungeniessbar weil zu roh. Also nehme ich den Teller und will zum Pizzaiolo damit er sie nochmals in den Ofen schiebt. Die Serviererin fragt mich wohin ich will, ich sage es ihr und was macht sie? Sie hebt mit ihren Händen die Pizza an- mi den HÄNDEN !- und zeigt mir die einzelnen braunen Punkte am Pizzaboden und sagt die Pizza sei ok do. Wir wollten nur die Getränke bezahlen und gehen da kommt der Pizzaiolo heraus und sagt es sei ihm egal wenn die Pizza uns nicht schmecken würden. Punkt basta. Am Schluss haben wir bezahlt und stehen gelassen. Das ist kein professionelles Gebahten. Eine reine Touriabzocke. Nie wieder Lindau.

Sehr unfreundlicher Service und Essen war sehr mittelmäßig, dafür dass es als beste Pizza in Lindau angepriesen wird. Wir haben eine Situation beobachtet, wo eine Frau, vermutlich die Inhaberin, auch sehr unfreundlich zu einer Familie mit Kind war. Kann ich also nicht empfehlen.

The shop is running. We were given a table for four on Saturday without a reservation. Premise, 1 1/2 hours. That was easily enough for 3 pizzas and the lasagna of the day. The food came quickly, the pizza and lasagne were freshly prepared and delicious. Very good pizza dough! Plus an Augustiner on tap. We left full and satisfied.

Zwei Besuche – beide enttäuschend. Beim ersten Mal teilten wir uns eine Pizza. Für einen zusätzlichen Teller sollten wir 2 Euro zahlen – ein fragwürdiger Servicegedanke. Als wir ablehnten, wurden wir belehrt, bitte die Tischdecke nicht zu beschmutzen. Eine unangemessene Zurechtweisung gegenüber zahlenden Gästen. Die Pizza war in Ordnung, aber das angekündigte Trüffelöl war geschmacklich nicht zu erkennen. Beim zweiten Besuch bestellten wir eine Pizza und eine Lasagne. Letztere war kein ernstzunehmendes Gericht: ein kaum definierbarer Klumpen aus übermäßigem Käse – Hackfleisch war so gut wie nicht vorhanden. Auf unsere ehrliche Rückmeldung reagierte die Wirtin pampig und uneinsichtig. Ihre Aussage: "Was stimmt damit nicht? Ich esse das gerade selbst“ – als ob das Kritik entkräften würde. Weitere Hinweise auf die mangelhafte Zubereitung (z. B. Käse zwischen den Lagen anstelle von Béchamel) wurden mit deutlicher Unfreundlichkeit und Unkenntnis quittiert: "Das ist unser Rezept. Wir machen die Béchamel nicht mit Weizenmehl sondern mit Schlagobers. Zweimal erklären reicht doch - meine Nerven!" Den Tiefpunkt erreichte der Service bei der Bezahlung. Auf unsere Bitte, die Rechnung zu splitten – ein üblicher Wunsch bei Tagungsgästen – wurde ebenfalls unfreundlich reagiert. Das sei im Nachhinein nicht möglich; wir hätten vorher sagen müssen, dass wir getrennt zahlen. Nun, man hat uns nicht gefragt... Ein Glas Wasser und eine schlechte Lasagne für 19 Euro ist schlichtweg Abzocke. Fazit: Überteuert, unprofessionell und im Umgang mit Kritik komplett unangemessen. Wir kommen sicher nicht wieder – und raten auch anderen davon ab. P/S: Ich wünschte, ich hätte von der Lasagne ein Foto gemacht... :-(

I don't normally give bad reviews, but what we experienced in this restaurant today was extreme. The landlady is totally arrogant, after we first considered whether we would go again (since we didn't have what we wanted on the menu), she said in a completely unfriendly manner if we had finally decided because otherwise she would give the table to someone else. Then my three-year-old son pressed something on the slot machine, whereupon she shouted in a harsh tone through the whole store “they should remove this child immediately!!!”. I was clearly standing right next to it. When I pointed out to her that she should please watch her tone, she actually wanted to throw me out of the restaurant. Only when the lady from the next table intervened and also complained about the lady's unfriendly manner did she calm down again and I was “allowed” to stay. By the way, the pizza was so-so, the toppings were delicious, but the base was totally messy. Here the main focus is on sales, friendliness is zero - quite the opposite. We'll definitely never come back.

We were there on Easter Sunday. The staff, especially the lady who served us, is incredibly unfriendly. Patty answers, no politeness, 2 guests were sent away again because only one of them wanted to eat, 2 people at a table of 4 had to move to a table of 2 even though they had already had their food on the table for 5 minutes, but without cutlery. When we pointed out to the waitress that she was very unfriendly, we were insulted for who we actually were. We then left without food. The service is disorganized and extremely unfriendly. Better not to go.

We spontaneously decided to eat pizza there. There was a lot going on, but what happened after 15 minutes was simply unacceptable from the service. First a neighboring table was served, which came clearly after us. It then worked again because you only serve if both people eat something. Then a woman with a child sat at a table for four right in front of the entrance. Got her pizza and then waited forever for cutlery. In addition, the waitress didn't ask if she would change her order. No, move around, was the request. Mind you. The pizza was on the table. Another table was already waiting for 15 minutes, which you can pay for. We then left our cutlery to the woman with her child and left because she then got dirty. I haven't experienced something like that in a long time, even though there is a lot going on.

The food was good, but the owner (I'm assuming that was her) is absolutely rude. Two young women were sitting at the next table and wanted to share a pizza. The "lady" then expelled them from the pizzeria. But that hasn't happened yet, she kept scrawling that it was an impertinence and that she would ultimately have to pay rent. Even if the pizza was good, we cannot and will not recommend this pizzeria.

The pizza has been very good on all visits so far. The staff makes every effort to satisfy the needs of the guests. We'd love to go there again.

We ate bruschetta here. Delicious. We also recommend this here. The pizza blew us away. A pizza Mushrooms with ham and a spicy “Dracula” pizza with lots of jalapeños on it. The pizzas were so good that my girlfriend even ate the crust, which is extremely rare. Big thanks to the chef. A small, harmonious family from Italy seems to run the restaurant here. Very sweet and attentive. And the price is right too. Finally we treated ourselves to tiramisu. A dream. This is what tiramisu should taste like.

I would like to share my experience at this restaurant, which unfortunately was very disappointing. When we arrived at 1:30 p.m. we were already greeted at the entrance with the question "What do you want here?" stopped. We said we wanted pizza, but the answer was simply "No, we only have pasta." This was particularly frustrating because we were traveling with two small children and were looking forward to a delicious pizza. The entire situation was very unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. Me and my children were very disappointed with this experience and therefore cannot recommend the restaurant. In addition, in many restaurants on Lindau Island, card payments are not possible in restaurants. In times of digitalization, this is an impudence and suggests that you are being ripped off (tax?).

We were sent back and forth and in the end we had to sit at the counter because there wasn't enough space. Pizza was good in terms of taste, you have to give it to them, just an absolute cheek for an extra plate of €1.50, which is actually completely normal when two people share a pizza. I felt pretty uncomfortable and wanted to leave as quickly as possible. It was also noticed that other guests also felt very uncomfortable.

The food was quite ok, although it was very nice there. I can recommend it, but it's not a big deal at the moment, it can also be done elsewhere

Very nice service. The pizza tastes excellent. As soon as we ordered the pizza arrived within 10 minutes. The ambience invites you to linger.

The two of us had pizza. The food and service were great. Plus Italian pop music (most of it from the 80s). We really liked it.

As the Italian says, “meraviglioso” is simply wonderful! A magical, cozy little pizzeria with really the best pizza in Lindau, if not in the Lake Constance area! Even though it can be a little more crowded during rush hour in the evening, it's worth waiting at the bar and you eat right there 👍🏾 A must have in Lindau

Tk pizza base. You have to eat quickly, the cooler the pizza gets, the slipperier the base becomes. €17.90 for a terrible pizza. The next table had ordered a tiramisu and it was also a ready-made product. It was nothing for us, never again.

I like this pizzeria. In summer Sit outside the restaurant. On these simple chairs. Table slightly slanted because of the cobblestones. Has Italian flair.

A wonderful restaurant with a very warm landlady. Finally no island gastro rip-off! Fair prices and really great food.

Unfortunately, the landlady is not very child-friendly and overall very direct. Not everyone can handle that. Unfortunately not the right place to eat with children. Our son “clattered” with his building blocks. We were then rudely told that the landlady could no longer hear this and that he should look at books instead. We were pretty horrified. We usually like to go to Italian restaurants with the children, as they are otherwise very friendly to the children and it's no problem if things get a bit busier. We also noticed how a couple wanted to sit down at a “big” table. The instructions then came pretty straight away that this was a table for 5-6 people and only the small tables were for 2 people. The large table then simply remained empty. We paid just under €38 for 2 pizzas and 2x 0.4 l drinks.

Very tasty and friendly, I spontaneously got a great pizza late in the evening! Great ambience and reasonable prices.

A nice, well-kept, clean and cozy restaurant. Delicious pizza, tasty/fresh salad and good ambience. Service was also good and friendly. Very tasty tiramisu - definitely try it!
