Pizzeria IL Leone in Lindau (Bodensee)

We were sent back and forth and in the end we had to sit at the counter because there wasn't enough space. Pizza was good in terms of taste, you have to give it to them, just an absolute cheek for an extra plate of €1.50, which is actually completely normal when two people share a pizza. I felt pretty uncomfortable and wanted to leave as quickly as possible. It was also noticed that other guests also felt very uncomfortable.

The food was quite ok, although it was very nice there. I can recommend it, but it's not a big deal at the moment, it can also be done elsewhere

Very nice service. The pizza tastes excellent. As soon as we ordered the pizza arrived within 10 minutes. The ambience invites you to linger.

The two of us had pizza. The food and service were great. Plus Italian pop music (most of it from the 80s). We really liked it.

As the Italian says, “meraviglioso” is simply wonderful! A magical, cozy little pizzeria with really the best pizza in Lindau, if not in the Lake Constance area! Tk pizza base. You have to eat quickly, the cooler the pizza gets, the slipperier the base becomes. €17.90 for a terrible pizza. The next table had ordered a tiramisu and it was also a ready-made product. It was nothing for us, never again.

I like this pizzeria. In summer Sit outside the restaurant. On these simple chairs. Table slightly slanted because of the cobblestones. Has Italian flair.

A wonderful restaurant with a very warm landlady. Finally no island gastro rip-off! Fair prices and really great food.

Unfortunately, the landlady is not very child-friendly and overall very direct. Not everyone can handle that. Unfortunately not the right place to eat with children. Our son “clattered” with his building blocks. We were then rudely told that the landlady could no longer hear this and that he should look at books instead. We were pretty horrified. We usually like to go to Italian restaurants with the children, as they are otherwise very friendly to the children and it's no problem if things get a bit busier. We also noticed how a couple wanted to sit down at a “big” table. The instructions then came pretty straight away that this was a table for 5-6 people and only the small tables were for 2 people. The large table then simply remained empty. We paid just under €38 for 2 pizzas and 2x 0.4 l drinks.

Very tasty and friendly, I spontaneously got a great pizza late in the evening! Great ambience and reasonable prices.

Unfortunately it is not recommended! Ambience is nice, the pizza doesn't have a crispy base, but that's definitely a matter of taste. I'm almost at a loss for words about the service. We were eating here and sat outside, a single woman sat down at the empty table next to the two-person table. But she was told that the table was reserved and she should sit down in the restaurant, which she did. It's not pleasant next to the stove in summer. After about 10 minutes, a single person sat down at the table again and it was said again that the table was reserved. A table was set up for her a little ways away where she sat down. A minute later a couple asked the manager if the table was free. And then suddenly he wasn't reserved anymore. When I asked why people were being turned away, she simply said "she has to earn money to get through the quiet winter." That's all I can say. They definitely won't survive the winter like this!

The food tastes very good, it's the best pizza I've eaten, I felt like I was in Italy for a moment and the service is also great. I can only recommend it

PIZZA FRIENDS, unfortunately you will be disappointed. This is just a lousy customer catcher. Anyone who knows Italian pizza is in the wrong place here. The staff is very rude. They treat customers badly and don't do their job well. The cook is dedicated to annoying the customers and being rude to them. This restaurant needs a change of staff. The waiter who served the tables was correct, but the cook and the person who claimed to be the owner were terrible. If you ask for an empty plate to share the food, they charge you 2 euros. We ordered 4 pizzas for 5 people, we ordered plates to share the pizzas and it turns out that they charge 2 euros per plate. A nonsense.

The pizza is really delicious 😋. I had one with goat cheese, dill and honey...I was really impressed. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. We really didn't expect something so great in such a small side street. Will definitely come back

Shop advertises "best pizza" in the pedestrian zone🍕 and yes, I can confirm that, large pizza with fresh food. The only drawback is that no card payment is possible. Otherwise recommended 👍👍

We each ordered over €10 for starters and got more or less good bruschetta on soggy Aldi baked rolls. Given the price, I expect clearly, clearly: SIGNIFICANTLY, more. Really disappointing. The pizza was quite good to very good. We became aware of the shop through a display saying "90% of our customers think we have the best pizza in Lindau". Pizza may be, but the rating on Google is still dubious. If you want to stop by, treat yourself to a good pizza but skip the bruschetta.

During our school trip we came across the Pizzeria il Leone. We arrived hungry with eight friends and were immediately warmly welcomed. The shop is small but very cozy and clean, perfect for a relaxed meal. The pizza was absolutely delicious, especially the Margherita and the salami. The dough was nice and crispy and the ingredients were fresh. The prices were fair and the portions were generous. We were particularly impressed by the friendly service. The staff was attentive and managed to serve us quickly and in a friendly manner. Overall, the Pizzeria il Leone was an unexpected highlight of our school trip. If you're looking for good pizza in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place for you!

Please avoid this place at all cost. Very rude the blond old waiter staff and insulted my mother with „favanculo“ not a way to talk to anyone. This is unacceptable and I would go to the police next time. This woman has to be fired and send back to Italy .

We had dinner for 5 people. They sat us next to the oven and the heat was unbearable. We asked the cook if we could bring a fan closer to the table and he told us, very rudely, no. We told him that we were going to move to the terrace since it was unbearably hot. Since the space was very limited, we moved an umbrella about 5 centimeters to be able to place one more chair next to the table. The cook came out from the kitchen and told us that the umbrella could not be moved. When the owner saw the situation she told us that this was Germany. When we placed the order, 3 pizzas and a salad, we asked them for some plates to share and it turns out that each empty plate cost 2 euros for what they said was for water and electricity costs. Go cheapskates/rats!

Top quality pizzas. We were attracted by aroma, and were not disappointed. Thin crust and use of High quality ham and cheese. Can recommend.

The pizza was quite acceptable and the ambience in the small alley conveyed a pleasant holiday feeling. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. The staff seemed focused on refilling tables as quickly as possible. The behavior of the waitress was particularly unpleasant, as she was very cheeky towards all the guests. A family who came after us was told that they were only allowed to stay if the children also ordered individual dishes. To make matters worse, the waitress became abusive when the tip didn't meet her expectations.

Es war alles soweit in Ordnung. Die Pizza war okay, doch leider befand sich in einer Pizza eine Fliege. Das kann vorkommen, aber die Kellnerin hatte uns mehrfach Begründungen geliefert, warum das nicht sein kann und wir doch mal „ DENKEN“ sollen. Zumindest gab es einen Espresso aufs Haus.

In this restaurant I had a pizza frutti di mare, but unfortunately it was in the oven for too long and half burnt. The dough is brown and hard on the outside like a biscuit, partly black at the bottom and lightly coated on top. A few small mussels, 2 pieces of squid and everything swam very oily. Absolutely no masterpiece and when we removed the 3/4 pizza we didn't even ask what was going on, that says it all. No recommendation.

Great pizza place! 1a recommendation for everyone who likes real Italian pizza. The dough is made with Tipo 00 flour, as it should be. Hand-processed, freshly topped. No frills, just really, really good pizza. When you're there, definitely try the bruschetta, it's worth it The staff is very friendly and the food was ready very quickly. The European Championship games are currently also being shown!

Stupid, rude restaurant rule: 1. You have to pay €2 for each extra plate 2. You are not allowed to order 1 pizza for 2 people, otherwise they wanted to charge us 1 bruschetta (1 bruschetta approx. 10€ -> almost the same as 1 new pizza). Nonsense!

Were there at a quarter to twelve on Whitsunday. Three of the service staff (a woman and two men) sit at the tables in front of the door and smoke. We've just been told that we don't start until twelve o'clock. We are the first guests to sit down and quickly go to the toilet. Going back and looking at the map shows on page one that only cash is accepted. We have no cash and leave the restaurant. The woman asks if we just wanted to use the toilet, but we say we just don't have any cash with us. This is followed by the unfriendly hint that there is a bank up there. We just think to ourselves, I'll probably never be here again. Gastronomy is all about food, service and ambience. From our point of view, this shop failed in at least two situations, because we are now in Engel for food. They are friendly and we pay with the card as if it were 2024.

Bei einem Spaziergang hier vorbei gekommen. Am nächsten Tag sind wir direkt dort essen gewesen. Und was soll ich sagen? Richtig gut! Tolles Essen, tolles Ambiente, super liebe Bedienung und unser Hund hat sogar eine Knabberstange bekommen. Wenn wir nochmal nach Lindau kommen, gehen wir gerne wieder hier hin.

What seemed to be the owner of the establishment, quite rude, spoke badly to several customers we had nearby and when we asked her not to explain the bill, she did so in a bad way and somewhat aggressively. We tried pizza and salad, they were correct. Ah! If you ask for an empty plate to share something, they charge you 2 euros per plate..... (empty), anyway, I won't go back.

Schlechtester Service, den ich je erlebt habe. Unverschämte Bedienung, die die Gäste anschreit und sich weigert, Kindern einen Platz im Lokal anzubieten. Von diesem Lokal ist absolut abzuraten!

We were totally thrilled! The blonde lady who served us was so incredibly friendly and nice! It was great to have a conversation. The other waitresses also looked after us very well. Ambience was a dream! Incredibly beautiful little street with Italian charm. Pizzas were fantastic and on point. The pizza was prepared exactly how I wanted it. Bedienung unhöflich, unsere Pizza war aus gefrorenem Teig und nicht durchgebacken. Unser italienischer Freund hat die Pizza reklamiert und er wurde von der Serviertöchter beschimpft. Das Restaurant ist definitiv nicht empfehlenswert.

We were very surprised, the staff is so child-friendly, something I haven't experienced in recent years. The food was great, the taste and the quantity was great, it was like that back then. Well, our daughter wanted to come back today, but nothing happened. The internet says from 5 p.m., nothing happened. Closed, no opening times sign, no information about whether or not. Very bad for a city like this

As many other users have already written: - Totally RUDE, food doesn't taste good at all with such unfriendly service - Children not welcome at all, boss not courteous - Wrong food is brought, instead of apologizing the wrong food is aggressively slapped on the table again, only after explaining the situation does the correct order finally come without an apology after such behavior And now comes the kicker: Since the cash register machine wasn't working, only a handwritten receipt could be issued, it was only when we were outside that we realized that we had been overcharged for the food than it was on the menu (9.8 instead of 10.8, etc.) , that adds up and doesn't give a nice feeling of completion. Das Essen war schnell zubereitet & es war auch lecker. Zudem fanden wir die Bedienung freundlich, aufgestellt & Kontakt freudig. Die Einrichtung ist modern gestaltet jedoch gab es keinen Kleiderständer (für Jacken & Mäntel). Aber wir kommen gerne wieder.

Meiner Ansicht nach wirklich die beste Pizza auf der Insel, auch das hausgemachte Tiramisu war super lecker! Sehr nette Chefin und ein schneller, toller Service. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder und kann das Il Leone nur wärmstens jedem empfehlen der auf der Insel ist.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Durch Zufall haben wir dieses tolle Restaurant bei unserem Besuch von Lindau entdeckt. Mit Abstand die leckerste und außergewöhnlichste Pizza, die ich seit langem gegessen habe. " Die beste Pizza auf der Insel ", kann ich so nicht sagen, ich kenne die anderen nicht. Einer der besten Pizzen, die ich je gegessen hab, ja.....absolut. Boden - top, Belag super, Preis-Leistung wie es sein soll. Und selbst im Vollbetrieb habe ich noch nen Platz bekommen, wo andere Restaurants abgewiesen haben.

*** KEINE STEINOFENPIZZA *** ***UNFREUNDLICH GEGENÜBER KINDERN*** Wenn man es "Freundlichkeit" nennen will, so wirkte diese eher aufgesetzt. Es ist nicht so schön wenn man sich als Gast eher als lästig empfindet. Die Kinder wurden mit einem "schhh" zur Ruhe gewiesen. Dabei waren die zwei Kids wirklich nicht laut. Die Pizzen waren nicht gut. KEINE STEINOFENPIZZA - wie angegeben! Die zwei Kinder essen sonst jeder eine ganze Pizza und aßen hier nur zwei kleine Pizzaecken. Bei der Abrechnung wurde einfach mal zuviel berechnet. Da fühlt man sich auf ganzer Ebene abgezockt.

Ob es Absicht war oder nicht, aber es wurde uns deutlich zuviel berechnet. Wir haben es zwar zurück bekommen, aber nur weil wir auf eine Detailauflistung bestanden haben und mussten es selbst zusammenrechnen (kein Beleg, händisch aufgeschrieben). Pizza war eher mittelmäßig, Ambiente jedoch ansprechend. Standard Pizzaelektroofen wird als ein Steinofen verkauft.

Die Pizzeria bietet die beste Pizza, die ich je gegessen habe. Der Teig ist außergewöhnlich luftig und der Käse ist wirklich besonders. Auch die Bruschetta ist ein absolutes Muss – einfach genial!

Nette kleine Pizzeria, die auch die ein oder andere besondere Kreation auf der Karte hat und sich damit vom 08/15 Italiener abhebt. Waren zweimal ohne Tischreservierung da und hatten Glück mit dem Platz. Aber besser reservieren da es wirklich nicht so viele Plätze gibt. Im Sommer gibt es draußen ein paar kleine Tische, die in der kleinen Seitengasse echt super passen. Wir haben uns als Einheimische wie im Urlaub in Italien gefühlt.

Hab leider noch nicht gegessen. Sicher beim nächsten Mal. Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Die Jungs sind sehr fleißig. Das Ambiente sehr gemütlich. Schon die weihnachtliche Außenbeleuchtung lädt zur Einkehr ein.

Lokal und Personal sind absolut in Ordnung. Beim Essen kann ich nur die Pizza beurteilen. War inzwischen 2 mal dort. Bei der Bewertung der Pizza kann ich nur sagen, diese ist stark verbesserungswürdig. Es macht keinen Sinn hier was zu schreiben, was nicht ist, denn so nimmt man die Chance, dass das Team sich verbessern kann. Und ich bin überzeugt, dass ihr es schaffen könnt, eine Pizza zu machen, die mit anderen mithalten kann, oder diese sogar übertrifft.

Feines Reichhaltiges Essen. Schneller Service

Essen super, Service freundlich, höflich und zuvorkommend, Ambiente super. In der warmen Jahreszeit kann man in der kleinen Gasse draußen sitzen und das Ambiente der lindauer Altstadt genießen. Die Pizza ist besonders lecker. Aber auch die Bruschette oder Lasagne und was es noch gibt, alles super gut. Für Kinder werden, wenn möglich, Extrawünsche erfüllt die nicht unbedingt auf der Speisekarte stehen. (z.B. Spaghetti u.s.w). Das Lokal ist unbedingt in jeder Hinsicht zu empfehlen.

La pizza était correcte sans plus, ce n'était pas garni avec de la vraie mozzarella, plutôt un fromage comme on en trouve sur les pizzas de supermarché. J'en ai déjà mangé de bien meilleures, mais la lasagne de ma femme était bonne. Le fait qu'on me serve ma pizza au bout de 3 minutes alors que ma femme reçoit sa lasagne quand j'ai déjà mangé la moitié de mon plat est une faute professionnelle. A revoir.

Wir sind am letzten Sonntag zufällig hier angekommen. Der gemütliche Flair und die Optik der Gerichte einer Familie, die draußen vor dem Lokal gesessen sind haben uns überzeugt hier zu essen. Das Gefühl hat uns nicht getäuscht. Die negativen Bewertungen der Bedienung können wir nicht verstehen! Wir wurden freundlich und professionell Bediehnt. Vielleicht kommt es auch immer wieder darauf an wie man in den Wald ruft. Das Lokal ist sehr gemütlich und hat eine gewisse Romantik. Die Pizza hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und war gut belegt. Das Knoblauchöl war noch ein zusätzcher Genuss. Zum Abschluss haben wir noch das leckere Tiramisu getestet. Die Bilder sprechen für sich möchten sicher wieder kommen und können dises italienische Restaurant nur empfehlen. Vielen Dank!
