Pizzeria Da Pino in Mettlach

I can't find anything wrong! The service is very friendly, and the pizza is delicious and tastes like it came from an Italian restaurant. Even my two little dogs were allowed in!

We arrived a little later and asked if it was still possible to eat there and the service person was very annoyed. After we said we could go somewhere else, she said we should take a seat. She brought us the cards and told us to step on the gas and we were extremely annoyed 😒. After we got the food, she came every 5 minutes and wanted to clear the table, felt super uncomfortable and unwelcome, maybe work on the waitress's mood because that's not how you get new customers. The food was good. But we won't go there anymore. Therefore only 3 stars.

It was good, the pizza still has some room for improvement. But that's just my opinion. The staff wanted to go home. The ambience needs a keen eye again. Broken lamps again and old decorations had to be replaced etc. But we were still able to eat well here.

Dough for the smaller pizza is half baked Pizza with ham very salty Rosé wine not good, sour and cheap

I strongly advise against it. Friendliness of the waitress needs to be reviewed, the food is passable but not worth the price. The only difference between the small pizza and the large one is that the dough is larger but just as much topping. The drinks are all simply overpriced. Hygiene question we will come back, the peppers next to the oven already cooked on a baking sheet without film. I could go on because the list is so long. I strongly advise against it, for the price you can find much better in the area.

Excellent. Real hearty and tasty pasta and pizza. Even the kid's pizza was a nice size. Good value for money. A nice address when leaving the Treetop.

Went there spontaneously on Saturday without a reservation. Get a table straight away. Not a long wait. Pizzas and salad were very good. Friendly service.

Not really, just out of necessity, because there's hardly any other choice in the place. A better pizzeria opposite, mostly by reservation only. We got 10 spaghetti for the cozze (mussels) and, after asking, waited half an hour for the next 10, even though there was hardly any customers there. Some had long since finished eating, while others still had to wait. It doesn't work at all!

Spacious, older seating, but totally cool. Food is great and portions are big, beer is good. I recommend

Nice atmosphere, completely different with the room. 2x meat dishes, generously topped, side dishes and salad also ok. Parmesan automatically comes to the table. Pilsner well tapped. The attentiveness of the ladies in service could still increase.

A nice restaurant, but far too bright. Impression like a train station hall I had a piece of wood or metal in my pizza today, February 21, 2025... I told the waitress about it and she wasn't interested in any way. I was offered a new pizza but I declined due to the incident. I think it's cheeky. There was no apology or discount. Sorry, but I can't recommend it and will also inform the nearby clinic that you shouldn't send guests there. 2 glasses of wine, Kleines Spezi, and the pizza, 33 euros....... (over 60 DM) a pizzeria like this would have been closed straight away in the past.

The food is good. Unfortunately only cheap baguette bread with the salad. But the atmosphere seemed more like a train station hall. Too loud and too uncomfortable. And a constant smell of smoke in the restaurant. When we got home, the clothes smelled like we had spent the evening sitting around the campfire. Very unpleasant.

Good pizzeria with wood oven for food preparation. Typical pizzeria on German soil. Unfortunately, the older waitress was a bit unfriendly, but the young service staff were highly motivated. We liked it there, the pizza was tasty and no one was stressed. We'll be back.

Today we ended up there by chance. Since our regular pizzeria is on holiday, anyone who has such a service employee no longer needs any competition. I hadn't had something so unfriendly in a long time. This refers to the older lady who took the order. The lady forgets that the customer brings her wages!!

The pizza is already just OK, no pizza after 1 hour and 5 minutes even worse! Horrible 6:38 p.m. ordered food, should be there in an hour maximum 7:43 p.m. still nothing. I called and then I was told they ordered at 8pm to 7am, I'm getting the pizza ready now and then I'll come. But I was told a maximum of an hour and it hasn't even been done yet. Yes, I have no idea, I'll finish now and I'll come. You can keep the pizza! If I had waited until the pizza was finally made, it would have taken 2 hours! No star deserved at all!!!!

Best Italian we've ever been to

We were in the area again after many years and were, as before, very satisfied. Large pizzas, great dough, plenty of toppings. Friendly staff and (which is increasingly rare) dogs are welcome.

Great pizzas from the wood oven! The calzone is gigantic! When it comes to pasta selection, however, I miss many classics, such as Aglio e Olio or carbonara. There was ready-made buagette with the salad. Why not some fresh pizza bread?

The ambience is quite ok, nothing special, the large pizza is huge but in my opinion it doesn't taste particularly special. Dough is boring, but it tastes ok with toppings. Unfortunately Aperol is not good.

I went there on a Saturday evening and was very pleasantly surprised. A very nice location with an open kitchen and an interesting view of the stone oven with work surface. The pizza was delicious, very large and the toppings were of high quality. (e.g. real Parma ham, which has been freshly sliced) The service was warm and personal. Any time!

Diese Pizza war der Horror. Es keine Pizza sondern ein Pool alles schwimmt und der Teig war nass und schrumpelig.Einfach nur schlimm.

The food is very good. The atmosphere could be nicer. It is very loud and noisy. This could be remedied with a few resources.

Just terrible! Ordered risotto ai funghi, just kidding! Normal rice with sloppy mushrooms and a little cheese, then to perfect the dish, saffron is added on top to make it taste like something. Never had such bad risotto! Soggy baguette from yesterday, spaghetti 'Bolognese' that could just as easily have been from Maggi. Bruschetta didn't look bad from the reviews, so we got yesterday's bread dipped in oil again. I leave the dry schnitzel uncommented. Ordered something from you for the first and last time. And 75€!!! It's a complete disgrace for this poor quality.

Quite ok. The portions are large. But the outer third of the 40cm pizza was not filled. Serving the pizza on a thin tray means it cools down quicker. By the second half you have a cold pizza. Atmosphere: The background noise is reminiscent of a train station.

Service impeccable, personnel sympathetic, établissement proper and portion copy! A recommender! Impeccable service, friendly staff, clean facility and generous portions! Recommended!

Came across Da Pino via Google during a short vacation. Exterior view / entrance area - very sad. And then, the big surprise: finally being able to enjoy a real Italian pizza again. Great dough - with a crisp edge, fresh from the wood oven. Just right!! Simply delicious 😋. Salad was also delicious. We were very happy with everything!

Had tel. Ordered 2 pizzas for pickup, should pick up in 25 minutes. Everything worked out great. Pizza could be eaten hot at home. A little salty.

Very good, we chose this restaurant after having had a terrible welcome at the Mirabel bistro restaurant on Chemin des Cimes, no regrets, be careful it is very very hearty and good, the pizza dough a bit too salty but that does not spoil the dish, impeccable service, surely the owner is Italian, I had doubts about German hospitality when we entered the restaurant on Chemin des Cimes but this restaurant reassured me about the welcome from French customers.. thank you Madam

We didn't really like the pizza - despite the wood oven. The pizza was so lavishly topped that I could barely finish the smaller version (and that rarely happens). We simply missed the “typical Italian taste” of the ingredients here, but since that is our subjective opinion, I still give it 5 stars. Our daughter had salad with ice-cold turkey breast, which surprised us a bit. I would describe the prices as normal for Germany. The waitress was polite and the food came quickly, but from her face, at least that day, she obviously didn't enjoy her work and we didn't feel welcome.

We went there without a reservation, but still got a table on the terrace. The pizza was great, the crust was excellent!! Delicious Bitburger Pils, delicious wines. Most of the waiters are very friendly and were very attentive despite the stress. The restaurant is on the first floor, but can also be reached by less mobile people using a stair lift.

Went there out of sheer despair at the lack of an alternative. 15.50 euros for a pizza with five slices of salami, garlic and onions. 0.5 liters of water from a plastic bottle costs 5 euros, a disgrace. (The visit to the restaurant was 15 months ago)

There is almost always a space available for two people. It's almost impossible to make a large pizza, the rest of the pizza can be taken away without any problems. Price performance fits. Cozy atmosphere, very friendly staff. We recommend.

Our visit to Pizzeria Da Pino was a big disappointment. We were looking forward to enjoying a pizza that we had previously appreciated. Unfortunately this time it was a complete disappointment. The pizza was undercooked and the dough was raw. After our complaints the pizza was taken back, put back in the oven and then brought back with the same taste. The pizza dough did not meet our expectations and the staff was unfriendly. Instead of apologizing, they tried to justify themselves by claiming that all pizzas were like that. This made me feel like I had to apologize for the lack of taste quality. Overall I am very disappointed and will not visit this pizzeria again.

Unser Besuch in der Pizzeria Da Pino war eine große Enttäuschung. Wir hatten uns darauf gefreut, eine Pizza zu genießen, die wir bereits früher geschätzt hatten. Leider war es dieses Mal eine vollständige Enttäuschung. Die Pizza war nicht durchgebacken, der Teig roh. Nach unseren Beschwerden wurde die Pizza zurückgenommen, erneut in den Ofen geschoben und dann mit dem gleichen Geschmack zurückgebracht. Der Pizzateig war alles anderes als Pizzateig und entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen. Das Personal reagierte unfreundlich. Anstatt sich zu entschuldigen, versuchten sie, sich zu rechtfertigen, indem sie behaupteten, dass alle Pizzen so seien. Dies ließ mich das Gefühl haben, mich für die mangelnde Geschmacksqualität entschuldigen zu müssen. Insgesamt bin ich sehr enttäuscht und werde diese Pizzeria nicht erneut besuchen.

Unfortunately very disappointed. The food wasn't tasty. What does eggplant and ham have to do with Parmigiana? I couldn't eat anything the day after, I was so sick. The service is also questionable, if you want something you have to call the waitress because no one comes. At home I noticed that all the clothes smelled like food. All in all not recommended

Wir waren Gäste in der SaarschleifenLodge und die Pizzeria lieferte innerhalb 45 min zwei sehr leckere Pasta Gerichte. Empfehlenswert.

Sind seit einiger Zeit Stammgäste und ca. 2x im Monat vor Ort. Sehr authentische und herzliche Pizzeria, die jedes Mal auf hohem Niveau abliefert. Wer moderne, neapolitanische Pizza erwartet wird jedoch enttäuscht. Pizza, Salate, Fleisch- und Nudelgerichte - wir haben alles durch und freuen uns trotzdem jedes Mal wieder zu kommen.

War bislang immer im Saarland-Urlaub eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants, tolles Essen, schickes Ambiente..... Am Donnerstag, während meines Kurzurlaubes war ich natürlich voller Vorfreude wieder Gast. Das der Kellner jedoch versucht hat mich um Geld zu prellen, in dem er einfach ein ca. 5,- EUR teureres Gericht einbonnt und dann scheinheilig behauptet, sowas könne ja wohl mal passieren, ist eine nicht zu überbietende Frechheit. Darauf aufmerksam gemacht, echaufiert er sich auch noch als ungerecht behandelt. Keinerlei Entschädigung bzw. Wiedergutmachungsvorschlag seitens des Restaurantes......ok.....so kann man auch versuchen, Umsatz zu machen..... jedoch nicht mehr mit mir als Gast. .....unterirdisches Verhalten......

Essen war sehr gut hatte ein Cordon Blue mit Spagetti Bolognese richtig lecker ist aufgefall eine Empfehlung wert werde ich sicher noch Mal besuchen

Personal sehr freundlich und Pizza sehr gut der Belag rutscht nie runter und sie geben einen Pizzaschneider für die Pizza zu schneiden dazu womit es also viel einfacher geht , wenn man sich raus setzt hat man auch schöne Aussicht und dein ist es auch schön gestaltet TOP

Das Essen ließ zwar etwas auf sich warten, war das Warten auf jeden Fall Wert. Einfach köstlich und absolut eine Augenweide. Zudem wird alles frisch gemacht. Hier kehren wir gern wieder ein😊

Hier gibt es meine absolute Lieblingspizza ,,Della Nonna‘‘. Eine Komposition aus Mascarpone, Mozzarella, Gorgonzola, gehackten Walnüssen und Basilikum. Reichhaltig und geschmacksimpulsiv, einfach ein Traum. 🤤🍕

Sehr leckere Pizza mit sehr dünnem Teig und guter Belegung. Pizzen in zwei Größen in den Bildern sind die großen Pizzen zu sehen.

Leider keine leckere Nudeln, in Soße ersoffen mit 100 -en Pfefferkörnern gewürzt. Und drum herum, die Lautstärke wie in einer Bahnhofshalle. Die Pizzen sahen aber gut aus, was Anderes sollte man hier nicht essen.

Es war ein gemütlicher Abend mit Freunden. Wir waren schon lange nicht mehr dort,aber alles prima.

Essen ist gut und reichlich. Alles dauert etwas lang. Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. In den Innenräumen ist es sehr laut, schöne Terrasse.
