Good evening to the restaurant owner and the entire team. I always enjoy returning to this restaurant because I feel a family atmosphere and genuine warmth. The food is – as always – excellent, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I've read the negative comments below and I truly regret such statements. I always enjoy coming to Da Cesare and I'm sharing my honest opinion. P.S.: Sania works with great care and experience – just like the restaurant owner. A big thank you and warm regards to the entire Da Cesare team!

A superb restaurant, small and welcoming, with fantastic service and excellent quality food! The four-cheese sauce was superb, the lasagna delicious, and the staff top-notch. Kudos to the owner! ;)

Wire from the dish sponge in the food—I could have overlooked that, but the service was the most unfriendly ever. Despite our incredible efforts to get a smile on her face, she simply brought the bill, and when we asked if they were closing, she said no. The restaurant was practically empty. The only good thing was the pizza bread. Never again.

Be wary of the good reviews; they're just isolated incidents! Arrogant and rude staff. The chef wouldn't even work at a village festival! Just think, as an excuse for the overcooked pasta that melted like mashed potatoes, he said that elderly Germans eat it that way because they have no teeth! Disgraceful. We didn't pay for the pasta even though he had included it on the bill.

Rude staff Especially the two female waitresses! We ordered an appetizer and pasta! Poor appetizers with a slice of cheese, a slice of ham, two olives, a beuschetta that looked like bread soaked in colored water, two sun-dried tomatoes, and two mini artichokes! The pasta in the photo looked like polenta when you ate it because it was so soft! No Italians except the gentleman behind the counter!

I visited the restaurant last night with my wife. My feedback is that the food was good, but the service was poor. Specifically, the woman in the white shirt was rude and disrespectful. I asked for salt twice, and she ignored me both times. She clearly doesn't know how to prepare a bill. We were looking forward to a pleasant atmosphere, but we were disappointed. Her bad mood ruined our experience.

The pizza was delicious but it wasn't hot, it was warm, and when I ordered panna cotta, the waitress only told me at the end that they didn't have it (a bit unprofessional😱) but the best part was when Enis Bešlagić came in a little after us🥰😍

We were here for the first time yesterday and were absolutely delighted. The pizza was baked to perfection – crispy crust, juicy toppings, and seasoned just right. The service was also attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Highly recommended!

Average experience: Upon arrival, we were seated between two tables, super-tight. The food was average, pasta and pizza were okay. The surprise came when we paid: they charged us 7 euros for a bottle of water, the price of which wasn't listed anywhere. And when they charged us, they added an extra euro without us even noticing. Terrible service.

We were there on Wednesday evening and found it terrible. The food wasn't convincing, it was relatively expensive, and the waitress, Sanja, was a complete disaster. She was both rude and impolite. She even gave us the wrong bill twice, and when I pointed it out to her, she started swearing.

The Caprese salad and both pizzas were fine. The atmosphere wasn't exactly thrilling, and at the end, we were told that card payments were currently unavailable due to a malfunction 🤔?! This seems to be a systematic approach, so it could have been communicated accordingly from the start.

Ordered pizza bread from Mata Hari using the QR code and paid directly online. It wasn't there after more than an hour.

Overall, it's a comfortable, small, and manageable restaurant. The food was okay (not above average) and the prices are acceptable. However, you can see the kitchen directly upon entering, which I don't think is a very pleasant impression. The room feels a bit dark due to the furniture and walls (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). Unfortunately, there's a very old smell in the room, which is quite pungent and clings to your clothes later on. There's also a small fruit fly problem (very persistent creatures). There were only two of us in the restaurant, so we noticed a lot (including how the landlady/owner explained to the chef how the pizza was prepared shortly after we ordered), which made us a bit uneasy. Additionally, there was dust in many places (even in easily accessible places), the kitchen looked a bit unkempt at first glance, and the atmosphere was generally a bit oppressive. Overall, the service was very good, the landlady was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was good and relaxed.

Absolutely unfriendly, rude waitress who thinks she has to keep her tip herself. She reluctantly gives the remaining change only upon request; that's completely unacceptable! As others have already mentioned, you're not welcome, just tolerated! Card payments apparently aren't accepted, but they are for some other guests? Has this happened several times now. What could be the reason for this? In other restaurants, customers are informed of this before ordering. The tablecloth was quite dirty, which can happen when it's busy—but it wasn't. The food has also deteriorated considerably; truly nothing like it used to be. Unfortunately, I don't know if the owner has changed. I enjoyed eating here for many years, but this horrible, dark-haired waitress alone is putting me off now—a shame.

There were three of us, and after a visit to a wine village, we thought it would be a good idea to curb our hunger with a pizza. The crust was unfortunately very thick, not at all crispy, carelessly prepared, and completely flavorless – an all-around disaster that ruins any pizza-loving desire. All three pizzas were a huge disappointment: The crust was so thick that it resembled dry white bread and was difficult to chew – no trace of the desired crispness or freshness at all. The toppings tasted bland and completely bland, as if they had completely omitted seasonings or good ingredients; any flavor of their own was missing. None of the pizzas gave the impression of being lovingly or carefully made: The crust was evenly thick and chewy, a far cry from an Italian pizza, which is supposed to be light and airy. It seemed as if the goal was simply to fill a baking sheet as quickly as possible, without any thought for enjoyment. Besides, there were more flies and mosquitoes in the restaurant than on a farm... Conclusion Three pizzas that left nothing but a satiated (and unpleasantly heavy) feeling—neither joy nor appetite for another slice. Anyone who loves pizza should definitely steer clear of this place.

A culinary low, unfortunately. We won't be coming here again. We were visiting Stuttgart again and wanted to have a nice Italian meal nearby. Unfortunately, Italian is only the name here... Unfriendly staff, unhygienic conditions (leftover food, stains, dirty cutlery, and especially the glasses...), and the food was also abysmal. I don't even want to see the kitchen from the looks of it. It was busy, but cleanliness, hygiene, and tidying up between guests don't seem to exist here. In the end: card payments aren't possible. The two of us left over €100 on the table, and the explanation as to why it wasn't possible was beyond flimsy. After some back and forth, card payments were finally possible, smh. The atmosphere was bad; you feel ripped off, and the evening was ruined. The people who gave this 5 stars were perhaps incredibly lucky to find this Eastern European restaurant on a good day. Not recommended in downtown Stuttgart.

We where told we could only pay cash. One of the chefs abruptly took my husband to find a cash machine. After 10 minutes my husband felt uncomfortable with the situation and came back. I went to see how else we could pay and surprise they do have a card machine. Do not be conned by this place

For a 2-star review: Why was the dark-haired lady so unfriendly and dissatisfied? Also, half of the pizza dough was still raw. She looked so angry that I decided to say nothing to avoid risking an argument. The tables were so close together that the strong smell of cigarettes put me off my appetite.

There's no doubt about it, they write the reviews themselves. The pizza was tall and small, with dough that tasted like bubblegum. The tablecloth was dirty and had holes in it. The water glass smelled bad. The waitress was unfriendly. A terrible experience.

I've rarely had such an unpleasant meal; the service was extremely unfriendly. We had dirty glasses, pointed it out, and didn't even get an apology. The pasta was ordered without cheese and served with cheese. The food didn't taste good, and they only accept cash payments.

The food was OK. The staff that was working was very unfriendly. We insisted on paying with cash, even though they have a debit card machine. They tried to keep a €10 tip for themselves. As a tourist, you shouldn't come here.

I ate a Pizza Diavolo today. It was the worst pizza I've had in a long time. The dough was mushy from all the cheese. I simply placed two pepperoni and a few slices of salami on top, about 1.5 cm in diameter. There was no hint of spiciness. Although it was quiet, the service was friendly and attentive. It really annoys me when customers are treated like this for over €50.

I ate the vegetable pizza and it was really nice. They added some spices to the dough to😋

So I visited the restaurant on Tuesday evening and I thought the food was good but the service was honestly a catastrophe. What I experienced there was firstly disrespectful, secondly very slow as a snail, thirdly she shouted and she said no card payment possible, so just because of the biding I wouldn't come again, a catastrophe.

Unfriendly waiters. Standing in front of the store, which says it's still open. They didn't want to offer us anything else because it was too late. I'd rather call ahead.

I have issues with the takeout system. Ordered my Pizza on Wolt to pick up and checked the status. It did not change to for over an hour even though pick up time is said to be around 10 - 30 minutes. When I did go to check, the waitress was rude and just left the cold pizza on the counter without apologising. I reheated the pizza in the airfryer and it was very average.

If you like it loud, this is the place for you. If you like impatient service, this is the place for you. If you like pizza with a lot of dough and not so much topping, this is the place for you. However, I'll be getting my next pizza somewhere else.

We were in Stuttgart over the weekend and stumbled upon this pizzeria by chance. We didn't have a reservation, but they still offered us a table with a view of the kitchen. I had the most delicious pizza there in ages 😋😊

I had the best pizza of my life here! Fresh from the wood-fired oven to the table. The tomato sauce on the pizza was also incredibly delicious and perfectly seasoned! A real highlight, we'll be back! We recently visited this restaurant for the first time and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the staff were very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent – ​​freshly prepared, beautifully presented and simply delicious! We can particularly recommend the “Penne Rossini” which was a real treat. Price-performance is also right. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and will definitely come back. Clear recommendation! I don't understand the bad reviews!

Very tasty tiramisu, I was lucky to get a rather large portion. Pasta with seafood is also delicious. There is not enough Italian classic bread, olive oil and other supplements on the table. But they can be ordered additionally. The service was great fast and friendly, the lovely lady was very nice to us. Aperol is also good. The only downside is the nearby parking lot and sometimes it's noisy. But the impressions are still good. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

We had a fantastic evening! From the first moment we felt welcome - the service was attentive, friendly and professional. The food was simply outstanding: every dish was prepared with attention to detail, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. We were particularly enthusiastic about: B. the steak, the pasta, the dessert, which was prepared to perfection. The ambience is also simply great – stylish, cozy and with a lot of charm. Here you can tell that quality and hospitality come first. We will definitely come back and can only warmly recommend the pizzeria!

The meal was absolutely successful and recommended. I haven't eaten such delicious and fresh pizza in a long time. The pasta was also completely delicious and recommended. For me, Margherita pizza is always an indicator of the taste of pizza. And I was not happy. I like the food because the dough is delicious. By the way, I enjoy eating focaccio in Italy. I ordered from this establishment, it is similar to the focaccio pizza here, not focaccio. Atmosphere: the bathroom was not clean enough, and the white tablecloths on the table created a strange impression. Absolute impudence!!! We called the pizzeria about a table for four people. Here they said that a reservation was not necessary and that you should just show up. When we arrived at the pizzeria, the staff was initially surprised because there was no more space available. We were then seated at a corner table designed for a maximum of two people, with a distance of around 20cm from the neighboring table. After we said we just wanted dessert and something to drink, we were turned away from the restaurant. This was done in such a gruff tone that I had never experienced before. The boss then said that we could only eat with a main course and that we should leave now. Total no-go and very disappointing! We definitely need to work on friendliness here.

Nothing like this has ever happened to me!! We wanted to end the evening with friends and were really looking forward to tiramisu. When we called we were offered a table for 4 people. When we arrived the fun started. Not a table for 4 people but rather a corner bench for 2.5. When we said that we had come for dessert and drinks, we were told very unkindly that that wasn't possible now, "because you have to eat now". The waitress and the “boss” spoke in a very unfriendly tone. "Now we have to eat and drink. No dessert now." So we have to order more to get dessert? I find that very cheeky and very profitable!

Small Italian restaurant with a nice atmosphere and good food.

I ate here and there were no seats and we were sat outside in the rain. Then we were forgotten outside for 20 minutes and then sent in after complaining. The waitress was very rude and brought me glasses that didn't even belong to me and the bill for them was given to me after I was informed that they didn't belong to me so I didn't have to pay. Bad experiences won't happen again.

I'm not sure if the good reviews of this place are just bought. Our visit was disappointing from the start. The service is absolutely unfriendly and disorganized. You only find out by chance from other guests that you can only pay in cash. The food was on the table within 5 minutes - very suspicious. Pizza was oily, toppings thrown on carelessly and tasteless. Ultimately complaining to his colleague about my husband while he stands next to how much you tip is bordering on an act of impudence that I have never experienced before. The fact that tips were passed over the table at all was pure goodwill. Not worth a visit. Stuttgart offers far better options.

Unfortunately a very big disappointment. I'm surprised by all the positive reviews because we weren't able to experience any of it ourselves. Our food really wasn't tasty. The tortellini filling didn't taste fresh at all and our pizza was very greasy and oily. That simply shouldn't be the case for the very high price. The service wasn't particularly friendly towards us either. There was nothing to suggest tipping here. So we simply rounded up the invoice amount. After that there was no more word to us, we weren't even said goodbye. When we left the restaurant afterwards, people right next to us complained loudly about how little we had tipped. I find it totally disgraceful. I'm happy to tip, but at least the food or service has to be good. Neither was the case here.

A nice restaurant with good pizzas. I paid €16.50 for the Diavolo pizza. The portion is very large and tastes good, but a bit too salty. The service and the kitchen worked very quickly.

Not recommended for English speakers, staff dont speak English, they are rude and nasty. they dont take card payments, there are literally centimetres between the tables so you had better enjoy the company of strangers. The whole experience was vile!!!!!!

An absolute hell hole with extremely rude staff… avoid

As a long-time, loyal guest, I never expected to be so disappointed! After making a reservation by phone, eight of us set off with full anticipation - and even had to travel 150 kilometers to experience a lovely evening. But what awaited us there was a complete disaster. Despite my reservation for eight people, I was the last person who didn't even have my own seat at the table and was forced to sit uncomfortably between two tables. The waitress seemed extremely overwhelmed and reacted unfriendly to our presence. All that can be said about the food is: excellent as always, kudos to the chef! However, the parmesan that I had ordered with my meal simply never arrived. The fact that the evening was cast in such a negative light was clearly due to the catastrophic service - and I can say with absolute certainty that I will think carefully about entering this restaurant again in the future.

The food was generally good, especially the pizza. However, the burrata cheese that I also wanted on my pizza was very expensive at 12.50 euros. However, the service left a lot to be desired. The service was unfriendly and we were ignored several times. Even though we made reservations for eight people, we barely had room and one of our guests didn't have his own seat. We were also pressured to leave the restaurant after an hour, even though we had made a reservation. This made the atmosphere uncomfortable and stressful. It's a shame, because the food actually deserved a better rating.

The De Cesare is actually a fixed point during my stays in Stuttgart. Every dish is amazing, freshly prepared and with first-class ingredients. The service is courteous and friendly. Eat like in Italy.

The food itself was delicious, we didn't have to wait long and were able to spontaneously get a seat (for two people) at 8 p.m. However, the tables are extremely close to each other, so that the person at the next table almost touched our table with his chair and we had to get up every now and then so that people from two other tables could get up. Furthermore, 45 minutes after we arrived we were told that the tables were only available for an hour and that we then had to leave. That was a shame for us because we had arranged to meet for a cozy evening. Otherwise very nice staff and fast service!

Grabbed a quick lunch here. Service was good. English menu free soup and bread. Ordered Pizza Bruschetta it was flavorful, warm bread cold veggies.
