We immediately felt like we were in Italy 🥰 and I had perhaps the tastiest pasta ever (taglietelle with salmon). Super nice and good atmosphere, we'll be back!

Very tasty and the atmosphere was also very nice. So if you would like to eat delicious pasta, pizza or a juicy piece of steak, Da Cesare is the right place for you. Even late at 11 p.m. we ate two very tasty dishes. Recommended and also very good price.

Food was ok, service was good. Luckily we sat outside because the furniture inside is old and partly damaged (e.g. glass table is missing a corner, risk of injury is high). Toilet was not lockable.

We were eating outside first but I had to enter in the restaurant to get help. I said excuse me, but nobody looked at me. I asked if they have a child chair and they(2 or more) answered 'No' with very aggresive voice. I was a bit shocked of firstly how they treated their customer, and secondly that they didn't have any child chair even though the restaurant looked pretty big to have some families sometimes. In general the waitress was not so kind and we were unhappy to stay there. I wonder if the service is bad only here or whole in this area.

Cold dishes, terrible pizza (frozen) beer was not drinkable the spaghetti was not nice at all, I would not prefer it again!!!

The food was delicious, but the service quite disappointing. As we could not eat the whole meal on the spot and asked to pack the rest to take with us, the waitress brought a box suggesting we should pack ourselves. As we approached her once again asking to pack it for us (using a spoon, which we did not have on the table), she was quite annoyed and told us she was not obliged to do that. Not a big deal, but this killed all the impression from this otherwise quite nice restaurant.

We have been going to this restaurant irregularly for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. Today we were back in Stuttgart and wanted to go to dinner there. We got a table straight away, but that was all. After 15 minutes we finally got the menu, after another 10 minutes the server told us that it was hectic. Not even the drinks were included. After 30 minutes we left. We suspect that the kitchen is simply too small for the large outdoor expansion. A pity.

Very good restaurant. One of my favorites in Stuttgart when I have an appetite for Italian food. This time (whenever I go there) I have Spagethi Fruti Di Mare. It was very delicious. And the staff was very knowledgeable and polite. I recommend visiting there and trying the food there yourself.

We ordered a pizza to take away and for the price I expected more.. it was super small and there were almost half onions on the pizza in one piece (Tonno). Absolutely not recommended, have eaten much better pizza for less money.

Unfortunately, the visit to the restaurant for a friend's birthday wasn't as great as we had hoped. Although the table reservation for the eight of us went well, there were some problems with the service. My food was forgotten and only came after asking twice. A simple question about ice cubes was rudely dismissed. It became particularly difficult when paying. The waitress was annoyed and loudly told us that we could only pay larger amounts with a card and smaller amounts in cash. After this information, she barely gave us any time to react. Each of us had at least one drink and one main course, some also had starters. When we wanted to split the bill, she tried to put it together several times and it didn't work right away. She was visibly overwhelmed, which made the situation even more uncomfortable for us. We decided to pay together and later, when the waitress left, to figure out who should pay what. I understand that running a restaurant can be stressful, but I still expect guests to be treated in a friendly and professional manner. I hope that our feedback helps to improve the service, because there are a lot of things we could do better.

Small but nice. Italian-Yugoslavian-German home cooking. I know that sounds a bit strange, but go in and try. The service is friendly, the preparation of everything we tried is excellent and the selection of drinks is appropriate. Whenever I'm in Stuttgart, I like to come back here.

Kurz nach meiner Vorspeise wurden rundum weisse Tischdecken platziert, ich bekam keine. Immerhin eine Kerze auf dem Glastisch. Türe war geöffnet und bei Regen und Wind recht frisch und zugig. Salat war gut, Brot etwas habhaft, kein klassisch italienischer Pizzateig. Der Lachs war TK, etwas stark gebraten, Gemüse teils auch TK, Kartoffeln mittel. Dass dann neben mir ein älterer Herr mit länger nicht gewechselter Garderobe und Selbstgespräche führend Platz nahm, war das ein guter Anlass zu zahlen. Leider dauerte das Wechselgeld ziemlich lange, musste wohl nebenan beim Imbiss gewechselt werden. Insgesamt: würde nicht mehr dort essen. Schnell aber für anspruchsvolle oder etwas verwöhnte Kunden nicht zu empfehlen.

I can only agree with the reviews here. The waiter is really rude (as far as I understood correctly, that was the boss). He was really nice to my companion (female) and really outrageously unfriendly to me (male). When paying with a card he asked directly “how much tip will you give me”. After paying, he really stared at us so that we quickly made room, even though our drink wasn't even empty yet. He said goodbye to my female companion with a ghetto fist and didn't even look at me. Rarely have I experienced something so outrageous.

I went there for dinner with my girlfriend on my birthday, it's a really small, quaint restaurant. Real Italian food, the only thing missing is the view of the beach and you would forget that you are in Germany. I had a wonderful pizza and felt really full and satisfied afterwards

Starter of cold veal with tuna sauce was good. Pizza bread was not crispy but cold and homemade. Carbonara was far too creamy for me and I added a lot of seasoning myself. Service was relatively quick and attentive. Ambiance is ok. Since the restaurant is quite narrow inside, the tables are positioned too close to the neighboring tables and when it's busy, you're unfortunately bound to squeeze through when getting up. All in all it was still good.

Delicious! The lasagne is recommended. The restaurant is small and therefore rather noisy, but that's all.

The service is simply rude... when I asked/complained to the waitress about my carbonara (with cream??), she said "yes, that's just carbonara!" Only the chef listened carefully to the complaints and said that you apparently had to explicitly say that you wanted the version without cream. The waitress herself could have said the same NICE thing. Fyi: Italian carbonara is supposed to be without cream sauce. Or at least it should be explicitly stated on the menu that you can choose between variants. Pizza dough can be crispier. Unfortunately, carbonara with cream sauce was absolutely nothing special. I can only advise you against this order. Atmosphere is cozy, but I wouldn't come here again for food. There are better Italian restaurants nearby with good ambience and where waiters listen to customers' requests/complaints.

We've eaten there 3 or 4 times. Always been very satisfied. This time with a review. Stopped in for lunch on Sunday. Staff and boss super friendly. Our dog was given water to drink twice very attentively by the staff. Ordered a fish platter for two people to eat. It wasn't explicitly on the menu, but it wasn't a problem to order in stores like that. Monkfish, scampi, octopus with salmon and Mediterranean vegetables served on top. The degree and taste are super good. We felt like we were on holiday by the sea. Gladly again

Addendum to my review below: On January 21st, 2024 around 5 p.m. I was standing with two friends in front of the “Trude” bar, which is located opposite Da Cesare. A man came from Da Cesare who obviously worked there and obviously wanted to go to Trude. After a minute he left Trude again and someone shouted a swear word at him very loudly, which I don't want to repeat. I have no idea what the man did in there. In any case, on the way back to Da Cesare he said to my dark-skinned friend: “Well Chocolatina, have you been in the sun too long?” Apparently Da Cesare employs a racist employee. Here is my review from November 2023: For lunch today we had the tagliatelle with strips of beef fillet for just under €15. I found the atmosphere very cozy. However, in my opinion the food was a disaster. On the one hand, it was totally oversalted and on the other hand, it wasn't strips of beef fillet as I expected (tender and thinly sliced), but rather tough, thick pieces. The service was friendly but unfortunately inattentive. When we wanted to pay, she was engrossed in a very long conversation with another guest and we waited and waited until the person she was talking to drew our attention to us. Unfortunately, because her back was to us, we couldn't do it ourselves. Although we wanted to pay separately and had said so, she then came with a total invoice and said that it would be time-consuming to process the invoice separately. Because we had hardly touched any of the food, she asked. We told her that the food was unfortunately too salty and she just said that we should have complained about it immediately. Es ist irgendwie eng im Restaurant. Wir saßen an einem Ecktisch zu zweit. Neben uns stand ein weiterer Tisch and den sich eine Frau setzte die plötzlich neben uns anfing zu vapen. Die Bedienung war so unfreundlich, sie hat auf unserer Rechnung etwas vertauscht und das haben wir ihr gesagt. Sie meinte daraufhin, dass wir das doch gefälligst selbst ausrechnen sollen. Das wollten wir dann auch machen und sie kam direkt wieder und meinte: „Rechnen können sie auch nicht!“ Dann wollte meine Freundin mit Karte zahlen; Keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Gut dass wir noch genug Bargeld dabei hatten. Die Bruschetta war echt sehr lecker, unsere Hauptspeisen haben uns nicht so geschmeckt. Ich würde nicht nochmal hingehen. Als wir raus gingen wollten wir uns mal die Rezession des Restaurants anschauen und ich muss sagen. Mehr als zwei Sterne würde ich nicht geben.

The food was really good and they were big servings. But... the waitress was the worst, she was rude and I really had the feeling that she was annoyed that we were English speaking tourists. She was annoyed when she tried to take our order and I haven't decided yet (sorry lady, I had to translate everything from German since you didn't provide us with a menu in English... I mean, it's ok if you only have your menu in German, but at least try to be a little helpfull if you see I'm struggling or don't look so bothered). The water was super expensive, btw.

Die Unhöflichkeit des Restaurantpersonals hat uns den Aufenthalt dort wirklich verdorben. Leider können wir nicht einmal über das Essen sprechen, weil sie uns nicht bleiben ließen, als unser Kind anfing zu weinen. Es ist einfach nicht in Ordnung und ziemlich ärgerlich. Da fragt man sich, warum diese Art von Verhalten heutzutage auftritt.

Sehr unhöfliche Personal. Pizza völlig verbrannt. Als ich der Kellnerin gesagt habe, "so bitte nicht" , war die Antwort, "ich weiß was geht und was nicht"(etwas hochnäsig und sehr nervig ewig zu diskutieren, wenn das Essen einfach mies ist). War eigentlich ein netter Laden, aber da gehe ich nicht mehr hin :(

One of the worse experiences in my life. From the beginning of our entrance, it was clearly that we were not going to enjoy the evening. We spoke in English and the answer that we were taking was in german. The waitresses were unfriendly, unpolite and unhelpful. It was like they didn't want tourists in their restaurant. Sometime when we were eating, an accident happened and the waitress threw down a glass. Unfortunately, a little piece of glass thew at my friend's hair and the waitress told us "don't worry, nothing happened", with an overed look at her face. After we explained to them that our fear was, if any of the pieces thew in to our food and drinks, they decided to change our drinks and only one of two pizzas. The last thing that made us mad, was that they wanted us to pay them cash and wanted from us to go to the bank and take out money. Of course that didn't happen and their POS machine worked perfectly.

Preso dalla nostalgia del buon cibo, io e la mia compagna abbiamo ordinato due pizze. Ammetto che eravamo un po’ scettici, visti gli errori ortografici sul menu, ma ci siamo ricreduti. Servizio rapido. L’impasto era perfetto, Italian approved ✔️ atmosfera intima, con musica italiana in sottofondo (non che mi piaccia la musica italiana, ma l’idea è carina). Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Prezzi ragionevoli. L’unica cosa che non mi è piaciuta sono i tavoli in vetro con sotto cereali e quant’altro, infatti ci siamo seduti in fondo dove ce n’era uno in legno con dei divanetti.

Waren nach langer Zeit gestern wieder beim Cesare, Preise und Essen sind ziemlich gut. Pizza schmeckt gut und mit gute Zutaten zubereitet, ist aber noch Luft nach oben. Dafür schmecken die Nudel- und Fleischgerichte umso besser. Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend und nett. Hunde sind erlaubt und willkommen. Kleines, aber nettes Restaurant wo man durchaus gut, italienisch essen kann.

Ich bin schon eine Stammkundschaft bei Da Cesare

ACHTUNG!!!! GEHT GAR NICHT !!!!! Wir bekamen einen 2-er Tisch und bestellten Antipasti, Spaghetti Carbonara und Spaghetti im Parmesanlaib sowie Rotwein, Wasser etc. Der Rotwein war viel zu warm, deshalb bestellte ich Eiswürfel. Es wurde das Glas Rotwein vom Tisch mitgenommen und die Eiswürfel wurden von der Kellnerin mit der Hand direkt in dieses Glas getan, sie hatte vorher alles angefasst. Habe dieses dann nicht mehr genommen. Auch das Brot, welches sich im Brotkorb befand, wurde mit der Hand angefasst. Es wurde kein Öl und Balsamico auf den Tisch zur Antipasti gestellt. Die Spaghetti im Parmesanlaib wurden nicht im Parmesanlaib geschwenkt und schwammen in einer undefinierbaren Flüssigkeit. Hier sollte dringend das Gesundheitsamt mit Hygienebelehrung Einzug halten. Das Personal unfreundlich, frech, dreist. Wer gern Magen-Darm-Erkrankungen haben möchte ist hier gold richtig.

Die Pizza, die uns serviert wurde war nur lauwarm und teigig, der Insalata Caprese war mit seltsamem Pesto "verziert" das nach schlichter Supermarkt-Ware schmeckte, frisches Basilkium gab es wohl nicht. Selbst bei der Apfelsaftschorle wurde irgendwie gespart. Ich habe Verständnis für die Situation von Gaststätten, aber das was wir hier erlebt haben, ist keine Lösung. Dann lieber nicht Essengehen. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und freundlich.

This review is solely for the pizza, I can't comment on the rest of the menu. The crust on this pizza was perfectly crispy, not even the center of the slice wilted, however, the edges were a bit short and dense. That's about the only good thing I have to say. There's not anything bad to say about it either, it's rather average. It reminded me of frozen pizza, and don't get me wrong, I can get after some frozen pizza. The house bread was a bit of a disappointment. It was served cold, and the oil and vinegar had a noticeable taste of cheap quality. On the upside, the prices for a pizza are very decent for a place in the center of the city. Final rating, "may recommend to someone looking for a low priced, dine-in pizza, but don't expect much. I don't plan on returning."

Sehr gutes Essen! Steak mit Nudeln und Kapern/Oliven Sauce. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht. Man spürt den Kult und die Geschichte. Putenbrust mit Gemüse war ebenfalls sehr gut. Wir waren an einem Samstag Nachmittag da und konnten im Parkhaus direkt gegenüber parken.

Sehr netter Service.. das Essen ist leider nicht „Italienisch“.. Carbonara mit Sahnepampe und die Pizzen nicht ordentlich gebacken… Schade

Bei einem Besuch in Stuttgart über diese Pizzeria gestolpert.Ein Volltreffer,Top Bedienung,super leckere Pizzen und Salate.Die Pizza Bruschetta vom Chef kreiert, mit frisch gehobeltem Parmesan,ein Traum.Ein Stück "Bella Italia"mitten in Stuttgart.

Pizzas très moyenne avec une pâte sèche , pâtes avec une sauce en boîte , légumes pas cuits . Vraiment je ne conseille pas . C’est une honte pour des italiens .

Eine weitere Zutat auf die Pizza zu bekommen war nicht möglich. Außerdem war die Pizza war viel zu ölig. Zahlung mit Karte war für einen Betrag von 10.50€ auch nicht möglich.

Ich liebe die Pizzeria Da Cesare einfach lecker die Speisen, ich geh da gerne hin das Service ist einwandfrei und die Mitarbeiterinnen sind sehr nett und freundlich, Es ist sehr sauber und sehr ordentlich .

We came in right at 5 o'clock when it opened. Our waitress was very friendly. Despite not speaking English she tried her best to answer our questions and overall we felt the communication was a success. We ordered a Diavola pizza and some Al Forno pasta. Both were top notch and I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some Italian food in downtown Stuttgart.

Leckeres Essen und guter Wein. Nettes Personal und Ambiente in Ordnung. Draußen viele Passanten um einen die auch hal gegen den Tisch rennen.

Das hier ist ein beispielloser Absturz. Vor über 20 Jahren war das eine der besten, vielleicht sogar die beste Pizzeria Stuttgarts. Übrig geblieben ist nur die selbstbewusste Preisgestaltung bei Pizza und Wein. Eine Diavolo zu € 16,50 mag ja angehen, wenn die Qualität wirklich top ist. Hier kommt ein Ding an den Tisch, das schon ein Duell gegen eine „Dr. Oetker Ristorante“ verlieren würde. Absolut blamabel. Dass die Dame im Service mit rechts serviert und mit links die Kippe hält, rundet das Bild ab. Ich habe fertig.

Man sitzt hier sehr schön draußen in einer Gasse ein bisschen abseits vom Samstagmittag Trubel. Essen war in Ordnung. Pasta nicht besonders spannend gewürzt und auch die Pizza eher Standard. Also für ein Mittagessen sehr nett hier aber meine erste Wahl für ne Date Night wäre es nicht.

Außensitzbereich direkt neben dem Eingang zu einer table dance Bar und einer Shisha Bar, deren Gerüche herüber ziehen. Früher wohl mal für eine tolle Steinofen Pizza bekannt, heute Pizza durchschnittlich, der Teig fest und keine Wiederholung wert. Ob da noch ein Italiener in der Küche steht, darf bezweifelt werden. Der Hunger wird gestillt. Mehr nicht.

Typischer - eher unterdurchschnittlicher- Italiener "an der Ecke". Das Essen "solala". Wie die Preise für die Flaschenweine kalkuliert sind ist schon ein Hammer...... Daß es keine fehlerfreie Rechnung gab paßte ins Gesamtbild.

Einer der besten Italiener in der Innenstadt. Es wird frisch gekocht, die Auswahl an Fisch ist hervorragend. Die Weinkarte ebenfalls. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und der geneigte Gast fühlt sich sofort heimisch. Da der Laden ziemlich klein ist, besser vorab für den Abend reservieren.

Linguine insipide, scondite, all’acqua, con un po’ di frutti di mare, totalmente insapore. Abbiamo mangiato solo perché avevamo fame. Questo ristorante non ha niente di italiano. Unica nota positiva il vino, che era discreto.

Das Essen ist gut. Jedoch lässt das Ambiente und die Akustik zu wünschen übrig. Unsere Bedienung war teilweise nicht sehr höflich und hat bei der Abrechnung Fehler gemacht.

Ich kam zufällig in das Restaurant und wollte nur eine Vorspeise, einen Salat, ein Glas Primitivo und ein Wasser. Bekommen habe ich einen Fertigsalat aus der Packung alla Edeka und ein Carpaccio, das aufgetaut wurde und das dazu noch viel zu schnell, da es schon hell war und somit gar. Ich habe den Besitzer respektvoll darauf hingewiesen, dass das so nicht geht und ich bekam statt einer Entschuldigung wenigstes hier etwas italienisches und zwar das Temperament des Inhabers, der sich beleidigt fühlte. Das war Essen war eine Beleidigung, für mich und für die italienische Küche Ciao ✋

Bonne qualité des plats. La salade au poulpe, très fraîche. Les câpres, la roquette et l’assaisonnement ajoutent une fraîcheur bienvenue au plat. Pour la suite, ce fût une Carbonara, qui n’en est pas une. Vue que ce plat a été préparé avec de la crème. Donc c’est ps une Carbonara. Quand au goût, il n’y a rien à dire. Les spaghettis bien cuits, le gancialle en bonne quantité et bien croquant. En dessert une Cassata aux fruits confits. La crème est du superflu ( comme pour la Carbonara). Une musique rock des années 90 accompagne votre repas. Satisfait, mais sens plus

War kürzlich wieder mal beim Cesare, nach langer Zeit und habe hervorragend gespeist. Trüffelnudeln gingen nach Anfrage ohne Parmesan, nur mit Buttersauce.Trüffel war kurz nach dem Hochpunkt seines Frischezustandes, dafür aber in noch kaum gesehener Menge und wegen seiner beginnenden Weichheit in dicken Scheiben, was mir aber nichts ausmacht. Kalbscarré in hervorragender Qualität, rosa und sehr saftig! Bei der schönen Gemüsebeilage besonders hervorzuheben der trockene fast ein wenig kross gebratene Spinat, noch nie so bekommen. Kartoffel leider zu lange warmgehalten. Nach wie vor schöne Weinkarte, von denen allerdings nur 2 Weiße offen angeboten werden, die nicht zu denen gehören, die ich mir herausgesucht hätte. Alles in allem ein kulinarisch befriedigender Besuch. Hier wird oft der Service bemängelt, bei mir schon immer äußerst angenehm.
