A real highlight, we'll be back! We recently visited this restaurant for the first time and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the staff were very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent – ​​freshly prepared, beautifully presented and simply delicious! We can particularly recommend the “Penne Rossini” which was a real treat. Price-performance is also right. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and will definitely come back. Clear recommendation! I don't understand the bad reviews!

Very tasty tiramisu, I was lucky to get a rather large portion. Pasta with seafood is also delicious. There is not enough Italian classic bread, olive oil and other supplements on the table. But they can be ordered additionally. The service was great fast and friendly, the lovely lady was very nice to us. Aperol is also good. The only downside is the nearby parking lot and sometimes it's noisy. But the impressions are still good. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

We had a fantastic evening! From the first moment we felt welcome - the service was attentive, friendly and professional. The food was simply outstanding: every dish was prepared with attention to detail, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. We were particularly enthusiastic about: B. the steak, the pasta, the dessert, which was prepared to perfection. The ambience is also simply great – stylish, cozy and with a lot of charm. Here you can tell that quality and hospitality come first. We will definitely come back and can only warmly recommend the pizzeria!

The food was very nicely presented and visually very appealing. Unfortunately, the pizza and all the toppings were too salty and watery. The ground was then softened. We also had a sea bream fillet, which had a lot of bones. Unfortunately it wasn't worth €48.80 for two people with two drinks.

For me, Margherita pizza is always an indicator of the taste of pizza. And I was not happy. I like the food because the dough is delicious. By the way, I enjoy eating focaccio in Italy. I ordered from this establishment, it is similar to the focaccio pizza here, not focaccio. Atmosphere: the bathroom was not clean enough, and the white tablecloths on the table created a strange impression. I'll try to give the place a chance a third time if I choose salad and lasagna to try.

Absolute impudence!!! We called the pizzeria about a table for four people. Here they said that a reservation was not necessary and that you should just show up. When we arrived at the pizzeria, the staff was initially surprised because there was no more space available. We were then seated at a corner table designed for a maximum of two people, with a distance of around 20cm from the neighboring table. After we said we just wanted dessert and something to drink, we were turned away from the restaurant. This was done in such a gruff tone that I had never experienced before. The boss then said that we could only eat with a main course and that we should leave now. Total no-go and very disappointing! We definitely need to work on friendliness here.

Nothing like this has ever happened to me!! We wanted to end the evening with friends and were really looking forward to tiramisu. When we called we were offered a table for 4 people. When we arrived the fun started. Not a table for 4 people but rather a corner bench for 2.5. When we said that we had come for dessert and drinks, we were told very unkindly that that wasn't possible now, "because you have to eat now". The waitress and the “boss” spoke in a very unfriendly tone. "Now we have to eat and drink. No dessert now." So we have to order more to get dessert? I find that very cheeky and very profitable!

I ate here and there were no seats and we were sat outside in the rain. Then we were forgotten outside for 20 minutes and then sent in after complaining. The waitress was very rude and brought me glasses that didn't even belong to me and the bill for them was given to me after I was informed that they didn't belong to me so I didn't have to pay. Bad experiences won't happen again.

I'm not sure if the good reviews of this place are just bought. Our visit was disappointing from the start. The service is absolutely unfriendly and disorganized. You only find out by chance from other guests that you can only pay in cash. The food was on the table within 5 minutes - very suspicious. Pizza was oily, toppings thrown on carelessly and tasteless. Ultimately complaining to his colleague about my husband while he stands next to how much you tip is bordering on an act of impudence that I have never experienced before. The fact that tips were passed over the table at all was pure goodwill. Not worth a visit. Stuttgart offers far better options.

Unfortunately a very big disappointment. I'm surprised by all the positive reviews because we weren't able to experience any of it ourselves. Our food really wasn't tasty. The tortellini filling didn't taste fresh at all and our pizza was very greasy and oily. That simply shouldn't be the case for the very high price. The service wasn't particularly friendly towards us either. There was nothing to suggest tipping here. So we simply rounded up the invoice amount. After that there was no more word to us, we weren't even said goodbye. When we left the restaurant afterwards, people right next to us complained loudly about how little we had tipped. I find it totally disgraceful. I'm happy to tip, but at least the food or service has to be good. Neither was the case here.

Not recommended for English speakers, staff dont speak English, they are rude and nasty. they dont take card payments, there are literally centimetres between the tables so you had better enjoy the company of strangers. The whole experience was vile!!!!!!

After making a reservation by phone, eight of us set off with full anticipation - and even had to travel 150 kilometers to experience a lovely evening. But what awaited us there was a complete disaster. Despite my reservation for eight people, I was the last person who didn't even have my own seat at the table and was forced to sit uncomfortably between two tables. The waitress seemed extremely overwhelmed and reacted unfriendly to our presence. All that can be said about the food is: excellent as always, kudos to the chef! However, the parmesan that I had ordered with my meal simply never arrived. The fact that the evening was cast in such a negative light was clearly due to the catastrophic service - and I can say with absolute certainty that I will think carefully about entering this restaurant again in the future.

An absolute hell hole with extremely rude staff… avoid

The De Cesare is actually a fixed point during my stays in Stuttgart. Every dish is amazing, freshly prepared and with first-class ingredients. The service is courteous and friendly. Eat like in Italy.

Grabbed a quick lunch here. Service was good. English menu free soup and bread. Ordered Pizza Bruschetta it was flavorful, warm bread cold veggies.

The food itself was delicious, we didn't have to wait long and were able to spontaneously get a seat (for two people) at 8 p.m. However, the tables are extremely close to each other, so that the person at the next table almost touched our table with his chair and we had to get up every now and then so that people from two other tables could get up. Furthermore, 45 minutes after we arrived we were told that the tables were only available for an hour and that we then had to leave. That was a shame for us because we had arranged to meet for a cozy evening. Otherwise very nice staff and fast service!

Good Italian in downtown Stuttgart. I'd love to come back. Very friendly owners and good service. Delicious dishes. Unfortunately there are no parking spaces, so parking is only possible in the nearby parking garages or you can take the light rail. The town hall stop is just a few minutes' walk away.

You are being cheated here! Always look at the bill carefully. This has happened to us twice. The first time, the sum mentioned seemed too high to me. Only when I paid and looked at the bill more closely did I realize that there were a few things listed there (a total of around €5) that we hadn't ordered. Since it was my birthday, I didn't want to stress at the moment. A month later I was out with two friends again in the evening and because it was too crowded everywhere, we went to this restaurant again. And the same thing happened again! This time the total was about €15 higher. I immediately pointed this out to the waitress. She wasn't surprised at all, didn't argue with us and just brought a new bill. I'm almost certain that she tries this often with other customers - sometimes it works.

It looked better than it tasted.. unfortunately my diavolo was salty and cutting it was very laborious.. so the dough on both pizzas wasn't good.. we had swollen stomachs afterwards. Very uncomfortable. What was it about... I have no idea... everyone there was a very nice family.

Overall, the pizza at Da Cesare is okay, but I have a few criticisms. First of all, what I liked: Overall, the dough is delicious, especially the edge is nice and crispy and tasty. The cheese was good (at least at the beginning), the toppings were rich and the ingredients were fresh. The 2 biggest points of criticism and therefore the larger deduction: The pizza was quite salty, I suspect it was due to the tomato sauce, which also dominated the taste in a somewhat unpleasant way. The seasoning was definitely messed up. In addition, when the pizza is in the box (but also in other people's pictures) you can see that the size of the pizza is disadvantageous, but here you feel a bit strange when the pizza just fills part of the box or plate... it's honest better. The ingredients were fresh, but didn't seem particularly high quality. Basically the pizza is solid and probably from the stone oven, but the saltiness and the size are unfortunately not acceptable. When I read the other reviews I only have a limited desire to eat there. I would still give it an acceptable 3 stars, I could have actually deducted even more, for me it was more like 2.5. Stars, although as I said the basic structure of the pizza is solid. Price is okay for the location in the city, I had a discount, I also think the size is too small for the normal price, you can get larger pizzas elsewhere for a similar price. In general, there is just a lot of good competition in Stuttgart that can do better.

I am very surprised at the other reviews, some of which are very negative. We absolutely cannot confirm that, on the contrary, we were extremely satisfied with the food and service. The only luxury problem of all would be the point: only cash, no card payment, but that's not a problem either. Exquisite selection of wines, delicious starters (Vitello tonnato and Insalata di polpo) and our main courses (Spaghetti Carbonara and Rigatoni Al forno) were also excellent. The waiter was extremely friendly, smiled a lot and was very hospitable. Within walking distance of the Rathaus tram stop in the eastern area of ​​the city center, but due to its location in the middle of the city center it can also be combined with a stroll through the city center. We'd love to come back :)

Nice, fine pizzeria with an open kitchen and very nice staff. I've been there for dinner many times and I've never been disappointed. The food is simply bomb and it is prepared quickly. The owner is a nice man who takes the time to talk to the guests and always has a suitable joke ready. I would recommend Pizzeria da Cesare to everyone and would love to come back again and again!

I've eaten here twice already, I can't judge what other dishes are like, but the pizzas are just top original Italian stone oven pizza, the service was also very good, a pleasant lady who takes care of the guests and is very nice, I can only recommend Da Cesare to visit.

We were eating outside first but I had to enter in the restaurant to get help. I said excuse me, but nobody looked at me. I asked if they have a child chair and they(2 or more) answered 'No' with very aggresive voice. I was a bit shocked of firstly how they treated their customer, and secondly that they didn't have any child chair even though the restaurant looked pretty big to have some families sometimes. In general the waitress was not so kind and we were unhappy to stay there. I wonder if the service is bad only here or whole in this area.

As we could not eat the whole meal on the spot and asked to pack the rest to take with us, the waitress brought a box suggesting we should pack ourselves. We got a table straight away, but that was all. After 15 minutes we finally got the menu, after another 10 minutes the server told us that it was hectic. Not even the drinks were included. After 30 minutes we left. We suspect that the kitchen is simply too small for the large outdoor expansion. A pity.

Although the table reservation for the eight of us went well, there were some problems with the service. My food was forgotten and only came after asking twice. A simple question about ice cubes was rudely dismissed. It became particularly difficult when paying. The waitress was annoyed and loudly told us that we could only pay larger amounts with a card and smaller amounts in cash. After this information, she barely gave us any time to react. Each of us had at least one drink and one main course, some also had starters. When we wanted to split the bill, she tried to put it together several times and it didn't work right away. She was visibly overwhelmed, which made the situation even more uncomfortable for us. We decided to pay together and later, when the waitress left, to figure out who should pay what. I understand that running a restaurant can be stressful, but I still expect guests to be treated in a friendly and professional manner. I hope that our feedback helps to improve the service, because there are a lot of things we could do better.

Small but nice. Italian-Yugoslavian-German home cooking. I know that sounds a bit strange, but go in and try. The service is friendly, the preparation of everything we tried is excellent and the selection of drinks is appropriate. Whenever I'm in Stuttgart, I like to come back here.

Kurz nach meiner Vorspeise wurden rundum weisse Tischdecken platziert, ich bekam keine. Immerhin eine Kerze auf dem Glastisch. Türe war geöffnet und bei Regen und Wind recht frisch und zugig. Salat war gut, Brot etwas habhaft, kein klassisch italienischer Pizzateig. Der Lachs war TK, etwas stark gebraten, Gemüse teils auch TK, Kartoffeln mittel. Dass dann neben mir ein älterer Herr mit länger nicht gewechselter Garderobe und Selbstgespräche führend Platz nahm, war das ein guter Anlass zu zahlen. Leider dauerte das Wechselgeld ziemlich lange, musste wohl nebenan beim Imbiss gewechselt werden. Insgesamt: würde nicht mehr dort essen. Schnell aber für anspruchsvolle oder etwas verwöhnte Kunden nicht zu empfehlen.

I can only agree with the reviews here. The waiter is really rude (as far as I understood correctly, that was the boss). He was really nice to my companion (female) and really outrageously unfriendly to me (male). When paying with a card he asked directly “how much tip will you give me”. After paying, he really stared at us so that we quickly made room, even though our drink wasn't even empty yet. He said goodbye to my female companion with a ghetto fist and didn't even look at me. Rarely have I experienced something so outrageous.

I went there for dinner with my girlfriend on my birthday, it's a really small, quaint restaurant. Real Italian food, the only thing missing is the view of the beach and you would forget that you are in Germany. I had a wonderful pizza and felt really full and satisfied afterwards

Starter of cold veal with tuna sauce was good. Pizza bread was not crispy but cold and homemade. Carbonara was far too creamy for me and I added a lot of seasoning myself. Service was relatively quick and attentive. Ambiance is ok. Since the restaurant is quite narrow inside, the tables are positioned too close to the neighboring tables and when it's busy, you're unfortunately bound to squeeze through when getting up. All in all it was still good.

The service is simply rude... when I asked/complained to the waitress about my carbonara (with cream??), she said "yes, that's just carbonara!" Only the chef listened carefully to the complaints and said that you apparently had to explicitly say that you wanted the version without cream. The waitress herself could have said the same NICE thing. Fyi: Italian carbonara is supposed to be without cream sauce. Or at least it should be explicitly stated on the menu that you can choose between variants. Pizza dough can be crispier. Unfortunately, carbonara with cream sauce was absolutely nothing special. I can only advise you against this order. Atmosphere is cozy, but I wouldn't come here again for food. There are better Italian restaurants nearby with good ambience and where waiters listen to customers' requests/complaints.

We've eaten there 3 or 4 times. Always been very satisfied. This time with a review. Stopped in for lunch on Sunday. Staff and boss super friendly. Our dog was given water to drink twice very attentively by the staff. Ordered a fish platter for two people to eat. It wasn't explicitly on the menu, but it wasn't a problem to order in stores like that. Monkfish, scampi, octopus with salmon and Mediterranean vegetables served on top. The degree and taste are super good. We felt like we were on holiday by the sea. Gladly again

Addendum to my review below: On January 21st, 2024 around 5 p.m. I was standing with two friends in front of the “Trude” bar, which is located opposite Da Cesare. A man came from Da Cesare who obviously worked there and obviously wanted to go to Trude. After a minute he left Trude again and someone shouted a swear word at him very loudly, which I don't want to repeat. I have no idea what the man did in there. In any case, on the way back to Da Cesare he said to my dark-skinned friend: “Well Chocolatina, have you been in the sun too long?” Apparently Da Cesare employs a racist employee. Here is my review from November 2023: For lunch today we had the tagliatelle with strips of beef fillet for just under €15. I found the atmosphere very cozy. However, in my opinion the food was a disaster. On the one hand, it was totally oversalted and on the other hand, it wasn't strips of beef fillet as I expected (tender and thinly sliced), but rather tough, thick pieces. The service was friendly but unfortunately inattentive. When we wanted to pay, she was engrossed in a very long conversation with another guest and we waited and waited until the person she was talking to drew our attention to us. Unfortunately, because her back was to us, we couldn't do it ourselves. Although we wanted to pay separately and had said so, she then came with a total invoice and said that it would be time-consuming to process the invoice separately. Because we had hardly touched any of the food, she asked. We told her that the food was unfortunately too salty and she just said that we should have complained about it immediately. We just didn't have the time to order again during our lunch break and, to be honest, I didn't want the same meal again.
