IL NUOVO POSITANO in Stuttgart

I took the tagliatelle pesto salmone which was great. Unfortunately, there was not much pesto, mostly pasta water, and the amount of tagliatelle was not very generous, otherwise, it was a great experience!

I was really looking forward to the evening in a nice atmosphere and delicious food. Unfortunately, the spaghetti in parmesan was only served lukewarm, the plate was literally thrown onto the table as I passed by and I was completely ignored. Reordering drinks was also difficult because the attention belonged to the regular customers. Rarely have I felt so uncomfortable. Too bad.

Stylish Italian! You can dine in the beautiful half-timbered house on Calwerstrasse. The dishes were very tasty, the service was appropriate. We'd love to come back.

On 20th. October, 2024. I came here alone, and ordered a pasta with a beer. Here is my credit card bill as you can see. It's 32.50 euro with one Carne and a beer. Waiter barely has service, and I waited long for my meal and for payment. As the receipt as proof. I got email today that you delete my comment, but my comment is my real experience and receipt as you can see. that's it.

Unfortunately, pizzas were very doughy and the crust was much too thick. Mushroom pizza was completely soggy and seasoned far too little. Prices for the drinks are way too high (small apple spritzer 4.20 euros). Service top. Unfortunately, the rooms weren't heated enough and so we were cold.

Great restaurant! I lived in Italy for 4 years and have to say that you feel like you are in Italy here. Highly recommended. Price performance very good.

Everything is great, Lola said that the pizza is very tasty, great service, delicious food, BUT, everyone was brought bread, but we weren’t. How can you forget to bring bread in an Italian restaurant? Correct yourself guys.

Had dinner at IL Nuovo Positano today. The food was excellent and we enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere was very cozy and pleasant. The friendly service rounded off the whole thing to a successful evening. We would be happy to visit the IL Nuovo Positano restaurant again.

The restaurant has a living room atmosphere, sitting and eating with friends at friends' houses. All meals were great.

From the service and especially to the food, there is an Italian atmosphere. Pasta tastes very fresh and the lunch menu changes weekly. Among the latter there are always highlights that you cannot always get outside of Italy.

As an Italian, I can say that there is authentic Italian cuisine here. We enjoyed delicious pasta and fish in a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

I ordered a classic dish: spaghetti bolognaise - it looked not so special, portion was small and i dont know what happened in the kitchen but more salt is not possible....too salty, taste so bad...somehow mix experience from our group, some said their food was good, some said too salty also... Ambiente and Service are good.

It was really delicious. We chose beef carpacio, mixed salad, burritino pizza and funghi pizza. The bill was 80 euros with drinks. The price was average and the presentation was clean.

In the heart of Stuttgart, in the Calwer Passage, is this great Italian restaurant. Inside you can see the age of the house, details are left here, especially on the floor. Creates a great atmosphere. The food is delicious and high quality. I can only recommend this restaurant.

Great lunch with a diverse selection of pasta, as well as meat and fish dishes at fair prices. There is always a free mixed salad included. The staff is friendly and quick. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor. but has both a terrace and an elevator that leads to the restaurant if necessary. From now on we will come regularly for lunch break!!

Small and simple Italian menu, but really delicious food. I loved the pasta with Venus mussels.

Nicely located restaurant in the pedestrian zone with many outdoor tables. The drinks arrived quickly and the ordering was also quick. The starters (antipasti and vitello tonnato) with bread were delicious. We waited about 1 hour for the main courses: all 3 meals were lukewarm, the paccheri were very al dente with only 4 clams and were returned, the pasta with porcini mushrooms tasted okay, the pinsa was remade, but it also came later announced. As an apology there was a mixed plate of desserts and grappa, but that couldn't change what was a terrible dinner for us. Hopefully other guests will be spared this!

Unfortunately, not such a great experience. Food was ok, but nothing more. Spaghetti alle vongole could have used a little more salt. The garlic was very unintense. Linguine frutti di mare was ok. Dessert was again very good. Panna cotta and creme brulee. Unfortunately the espresso was quite cold. Ambiance outside was like that. Tables very close together. Service was very friendly and humorous. Big but. Our bill was a few euros too high. We didn't get an invoice, just the amount we were supposed to pay. That's why we had the lineup brought to us. It then quickly resolved itself and was corrected. With kind apologies. Nevertheless, there is still a bad aftertaste.

Unfortunately the outside terrace was closed due to the bad weather conditions. Which is why we ate in the restaurant -> up the stairs. Unfortunately it was a bit stuffy inside and a bit too warm for me personally. After ordering you get bread and a small bowl in which you can mix olive oil and balsamic vinegar. A sweet idea to make the waiting time for the main course more pleasant. The food was delicious, the pasta was better than the pizza, I have to admit. But of course the pizza wasn't bad either. I just somehow missed some spices and cheese. For dessert I had the cheesecake, which was very tasty 😋 but very small for the price! The presentation of the dessert was very nice though. The staff is very friendly and personable! We paid a total of around 70-75€ for 2 people for a pasta dish, a pizza, 3 wine spritzers, 2 small waters, and 2x dessert.

It was a nice evening in Stuttgart, so we took a table outside and had a good time here with our friends. As menu offers nicely selected choice of pasta and seafood, we had no problem to find what we like and quickly settle with each choice. Among all, I have to highlight that Sardinian pasta with seafood (Fregola Sarda Tostata ai Frutti di Mare) was very nice!

Were there for the first time. We can only recommend it. The food was great.

Nice and small and cozy. The lasagna and the pizza were good. The staff is always trying. However, I wouldn't sit by a window as it is quite drafty. It would be nice to check and “clean up” the toilets even when there is little going on.

Overall it was okay. The pizza was quite good, but the pasta didn't taste like anything. The tiramisu was heavy on the stomach and could have been a little airier. The portions of the other dishes (fish and meat) were very small. We celebrated a bachelorette party as a group of women and the waiters asked several times who the bride was and in the end just answered “Cool”. Despite the tip, there wasn't even a limoncello or espresso on the house, even though we spent a lot. Even if the pizza was quite good, I wouldn't come here again.

Curious restaurant on the second floor with good views of the street if you sit next to the window, cozy atmosphere and varied menu. The pizza was correct and the aperol was good.

As Italians, we are often hesitant when choosing an Italian restaurant abroad, however, after days of traveling with meals and dinners out, the desire to eat something closer to our habits is strong! We had a great time and ate very very well! We had a bruschetta (excellent bread and tomatoes) and a salad as a starter. Then we ordered a fillet (very tender and lean) and a seafood pasta. For dessert we have a crème brullèe which is also delicious! Fast service and very kind staff! We would happily return.

I liked the vibe of the place and that the staff was Italian. The service was very good and prompt. The pizza was ok, but nothing spectacular. This is a subjective matter though :)

Very bad service. No recommendation! We had to wait a very long time for the bill, even though we announced it. According to the menu, Pizza Margherita costs €10 but was charged €13?! The price is very expensive! Unfortunately, the pizza didn't taste particularly good either. Unfortunately it was baked too short and was still very doughy. We went to the restaurant because of the many positive reviews, which unfortunately we cannot understand. What was positive was that we got a spot spontaneously. You can sit outside as well as inside.

We were there yesterday for a business lunch and were really impressed. The team is doing a really great job and we were all really happy. Good service is no longer a given these days - but it is here! The food was also very fresh and exquisite! I would also like to thank the two colleagues again who were so attentive and brought me my bag that I had left behind in the restaurant! If you want to have a nice evening in a great, relaxed atmosphere, I can absolutely recommend the restaurant!! We will definitely come back when we are in Stuttgart. Thank you!

We felt very comfortable, but definitely make a reservation

Unfortunately, the visit to this Italian restaurant was not a highlight. The pasta was hard, the wine felt like it had been poured with water and the basil pesto tasted like pea puree and was brown?! The shrimp were also cooked far too long. Unfortunately, I've never had such a bad Italian meal before, so I expected much more. The service was okay, but not particularly friendly. The ambience is great, but unfortunately that doesn't help with the quality of the food.

Wanted to go out for dinner spontaneously, called about the lunch menu because we wanted to come a little later. When we arrived there, we were greeted by a very nice and harmonious atmosphere by a very nice and courteous waiter, who immediately knew what to do when we asked. The food was delicious and the price-performance ratio was great. Will definitely eat there again, a great restaurant.

Unfortunately, our visit to the restaurant wasn't particularly good. We had to wait a long time for our table. The drinks relatively quickly. However, no wine cooler, it was 30 degrees that day! Then to eat. The portions were very small for the price. We all weren't full! In terms of taste, there was just something missing from all 4 dishes. Then to our service, which we were very disappointed with. The feigned friendliness didn't help either. We simply received poor service. Unfortunately we won't be going there anymore. Tiramisu was good.

Quaint little place, the food was really good!

When we came there was very little going on. Still we got a wrong dish that we didn't order. After repeated requests for an exchange, the initial dish was served, which was very small. Overall price performance not justified.

We had starter, main course and dessert. All dishes were very tasty. The service was friendly, the food came quickly and the dishes from each course were brought to the table together. The boss also helps with service. The menu is not very large, I find the selection sufficient and prefer it that way. There is a good selection of fish and meat dishes, pizzas, pasta, starters, salads, dessert. There is a recommendation card and a season ticket. The dishes are not very innovative, rather down-to-earth, classic and very well prepared. The atmosphere is very cozy, the furnishings are simple and harmonious. Everything is very consistent. The location consists of about 5 small rooms, which makes everything seem very cozy. If I have one point of criticism, it would be that the seating is a bit too narrow, which means it's a bit noisy and you have to listen to the conversations at the neighboring table. But we'd love to come back, it was delicious and we had nice table neighbors!

Closed kitchen 90 minutes before end of the evening, very disappointing. If you’re open until 11pm, don’t close the kitchen at 9:30!

We had reserved a table for 4 people for Saturday evening. Ordered mussels and antipasti from the house as starters. Spaghetti alla vongole and spaghetti in a parmesan loaf with truffles as main courses. The food was delicious 😋 and our Italian waiter was a perfect addition. Service was attentive and very nice, All in all a very nice evening - We can only recommend the restaurant 👌👍

The tables are so close together, as if you were sitting at a table with strangers. We wouldn't come here again because of the food.

We were there early Saturday evening (5 p.m.) with six people without a reservation. We easily got a table for a maximum of 2 hours. assigned. The staff was very nice and attentive, even when it started to get busy. Access to the winding restaurant is via an old, worn staircase; the carpet tiles are sticking out and should be replaced. So unfortunately not suitable for people with limited mobility. Our dishes were all of very good quality and tasty, whether pizza, pasta or salad. The pasta was homemade, there was plenty of salad (albeit with a little bit of dressing), but there was vinegar and oil on the table and delicious bread to go with it. Price-performance absolutely fine! We spent a lovely evening there and we'll remember the address for when we end up in Stuttgart again.

Visited based on the positive reviews on here and have to say I agree. The food was simple Italian but well done, tasty, hearty and in the case of the steak pasta very rich! Our waitress was super friendly and spoke very good English. Overall a lovely experience and one we’d be happy to repeat if we’re ever back in Stuttgart

Totally overrated, the price-performance ratio is not right for the long wait and the weak taste. You pay €18 for a small portion of Spaghetti Vongole, the sauce was very tasteless and mostly tasted like water. The staff is rude and forces you to leave once you've eaten your food.

The first place I ate out on my first trip to Europe. The Radler here is really crazy delicious. I drank Radler here and found and drank Radler in other countries as well haha. I ordered pizza and pasta and they were both delicious haha.

We reserved a table as a priority, which was good (fully booked). The food convinced us except for the starter (tomato mozzarella). This came without any sauce, even without balsamic vinegar, basil or spices - a homemade Italian vinaigrette, pesto or something similar would have been great (not possible even when asked). We were very disappointed with the wine list. Not a single position of champagne, neither open nor in bottle. Only three red wines by the glass, all standard, like Primitivo. We then ordered a bottle of white wine, which unfortunately was simply placed on the table, without any ice or anything like that - a shame! Otherwise the stay was pleasant.

Sehr gemütlich, super Bedienung, geschmeckt hat's auch. Gehe auf jeden Fall noch ein paarmal mal hin.
