Pizza Nostra in Berlin

We are regular customers and have been ordering pizza Quattro formaggi and half a ruccula/crudo for years...so half half. Today the pizza baker tells my mother that this isn't possible because they have other pizza offerings. The shop was empty and it wouldn't have taken any extra work to have the pizza topped according to our wishes. Since when can customers not have their pizza topped the way they want? Unfortunately, the service and friendliness at Nostra has deteriorated significantly. We're going somewhere else for pizza now.

You can't say anything against the pizza, really tasty and big too. Unfortunately the staff is extremely unfriendly! We ordered here twice and had the same bad experience both times. They took an order incorrectly and blamed us in a very rude tone. Mistakes can happen, but dealing with customers this way is incomprehensible.

Prosciutto smelled on the pizza. Very uncomfortable. It's a shame, but we should and can do much better... Waste of time and money

Great Neapolitan pizza with great tomato sauce. What is a shame, however, is the lack of vegan selection. Here you can only “leave things out” and ultimately pay the same price - other pizzerias are more progressive and offer extra vegan creations that are not just “leave things out”. If you could perhaps offer something like that, I would be so happy! Otherwise: great shop, cool guys and always a good atmosphere and delicious pizza!

It was my absolute favorite pizza in Berlin, my husband and I always drove very far for pizza. It was a very authentic shop, the old owner was always there and greeted the guests in a friendly manner, the counter was always fresh and inviting, and I don't even need to say the pizza was excellent. Unfortunately, since the owner changed, the store has gone into decline. The pizza doesn't taste good anymore. The service was catastrophic, they cursed in Arabic and didn't know that we understood the language, the other employee smoked a joint in front of the door. Everything is just very sad.

Rewriting this because the owner tried to shift the blame onto the delivery service. My review was focused on both the food and delivery via Wolt (estimated 35-45 minutes). It ended up arriving over an hour after placing the order. The pizza arrived cold, hard, and tasted like it had been prepared the day before—chewy and tough like cardboard. The toppings lacked flavor and were far below the standard of any pizza I’ve had in Berlin. I've requested a full refund for this order, but I’m willing to give the restaurant another chance by visiting in person. If the experience improves & I get a full refund, I'll gladly update my review, as I prefer not to leave negative feedback. Unfortunately, this time, it was a disappointing experience.

Very tasty pizza, no frills. Simple atmosphere, but cozy on warm summer evenings. If you like pistachios you should try the Cacio e Pepe, very interesting and delicious pizza

The new owner doesn't seem to care what the pizzas are like or whether you as a neighbor are treated well there. I'm definitely not going there anymore. It used to be cool.

We go here for a pizza at least once a year when we visit Prenzlauer Berg. The pizzas are really great. First of all, a really good dough. That's half the battle. Then there is no saving on the topping. That completes the fun. This time we had a fatty marinara with lots of anchovies, capers and olives, a salame with quite a bit of salami, a pizza with a lot of goat cheese and a margarita. It's not cheap, but what is that in this location. It's a shame there's no more lasagne. We'll be back.

This used to be my favorite pizza spot, actually run by italians, good food and nice service. Now it’s just gone bad (low quality food and ingredients and rude staff) and they should change the closing times to be more accurate to when it actually closes. So disappointing, definitely looking for a new spot. EDIT: clarifying that the ITALIAN pizza place is no longer authentic as it is no longer run by italians, and yes the pizza and the ingredients used to be 100% better and tastier before, and yes the staff was much nicer which is not a question of nationality but of their own character and the ownership

It's really good with customers and food is also good

The pizza tastes good but the staff (mainly one guy) is super rude, keeps your change, ignores you. I waited 40 minutes for my pizza and people who came after me got their food before me. Last time I stood at the checkout for 20 minutes to order, the guy ignored me and I left.

Wir kommen von Zeit zu Zeit gerne hierher, das Essen ist köstlich, der Service ist gut und es ist erschwinglich. Wir versuchen immer, bei schönem Wetter einen Tisch zu bekommen, aber leider gibt es keinen. Eine klare Empfehlung für ein sorgenfreies italienisches Abendessen!

Since the "original" Neapolitan previous owners of the "legendary" Pizza Nostra left the country, there has been one less top-class pizzeria in Berlin...☝🏽 Today rather good standard😔 And the new crew, according to my review, can hardly accept even moderate criticism and answers/writes something with: "that's how racism starts"...Apparently hardly "self-reflective"🤔 but immediately give it the top dogs or what? We Italians are generally "relaxed"...☝🏽😎 Make good pizza and everything will be fine, Capisci?🥱 Does anyone here feel “affected”/“hit”, Pizza Nostra Nuova?? Or is your questionable answer!! Was that okay or so-so? The pizza was better and not so bland. The staff is different every time, but at the moment they are completely unfriendly. And… if anyone ever feels like going to the toilet, do so after eating. I hope they get things back on track because Nostra actually knows his stuff. There is only worse pizza in the area. PLEASE use the old boxes for delivery again. The new ones are much too flat, which is why my pizza suffered a lot. We have ordered many times and have always been extremely satisfied, but this time there was parmesan rind on my pizza and not a little. I know that these are safe to eat, but something like this doesn't meet expectations. It's really a shame when, as a customer, you have the feeling that the leftovers ended up on your pizza. The photo of my pizza apparently violates some policy. Probably a little too disturbing. Unfortunately, half of the coating stuck to the lid.

We've actually loved your pizza for years, but the last three times we ordered the bufalina pizza, the buffalo mozzarella was always served completely raw, i.e. unmelted. It wasn't like that before. Maybe I don't know enough about it and that's how it should be, but we always had to put the pizza back in the oven at home.

The pizzas are huge and taste great. You usually have a delicious breakfast the next day. What I particularly like here is that the dough is not as mushy or wobbly as some pizzerias that offer Neapolitan pizza. Quality is always great and it's usually quick.

It tasted good, but there was a black hair in the pizza that I was able to remove. An invoice was only given upon request, and only then were the items in the invoice marked! We ate in the house, but only 7% VAT was charged for eating out, honestly that would take a long time, we won't be coming back, sad, sad, sad

Where is the Pizza Nostra from 2 - 3 years ago? Where is the delicious crunchy dough and the delicious sauce? Where is my favorite pizza in town, one of the few to not make contemporary neapolitan dough? No idea. Last night I had waited 1h15min just to get a cold, dry, drown in cheap parmigiano pizza. I couldn’t even chew it, so I left it. I do understand the stress of having to be as fast as possible because of the neverending queue, but at least have the decency to tell the truth when asked about the waiting time and don’t scream at people “mir egal” when they just try to tell you nicely that the pizza wasn’t edible. A pity, never again :( Edit: Also, YES, you can avoid being rude and try to be professional, even if you are stressed. And YES, du kannst vermeiden dass die leute ‘ne stunde warten, indem du kommunizierst wie la g die wartezeit ist. In the end, I came to eat your pizza, you did a lame job and the least you could do is say sorry, instead of giving an answer that has nothing to do with the review. I ate your pizza for years, ne, muss ich nicht nochmal versuchen ;) Aber ihr könnt versuchen wieder so gut zu sein wie damals :)

Edit: liked this place as the pizza is fairly thin compared to other venues which I prefer rather than Neapolitan pizza. It’s expensive for a self service, staff is moody — sometimes very nice sometimes it looks like you’re there to make them a favour by just existing and they wouldn’t even say please and thank you. Either way, tonight was the last drop, I ordered through wolt thinking that their deal for two was a good one. My bf sausage pizza had a very scarce quantity of salsiccia but acceptable, mine well… I had to eat the pizza box as well. No more. I’ll go back to other places that are proper restaurants, with serving staff and more comfortable venues. Yes of course the quality of products is great and bla bla bla…

Pizza Nostra, formerly an Italian-led pizzeria with delicious, authentic pizzas, has come under new ownership and unfortunately the focus seems to have shifted to maximizing output rather than maintaining the quality that made it a local favorite.

Guys, we're fine! Because for us, Pizza Nostra is just around the corner 😎. Recommendation for adults: Diavola!!

We came past the shop spontaneously and were greeted with open arms :) the employees were super nice, friendly and funny and the pizza was also very, very good. We sat outside for a long time and had a wonderful evening :) 10/10 I would recommend to anyone.

The pizza is absolutely great. The staff is also friendly. Only downside might be, that the wait times can get a bit longer. If you dine inside it’s awesome to look at them making the pizzas, if you decide to eat outside it’s also nice. You just have to deal with Berlin

Great pizza, but pretty steep prices for a simple self-service snack bar with paper plates and beer benches. For the money you can also go to a restaurant with tablecloths and porcelain plates. OK, the wine costs 1 euro more, but you drink it from a wine glass and not from a defective ceramic cup. ;-) My tip: it's great for when you're hungry on the go. The small calzones seem to be a hit here

Given that there is no service in this “restaurant” the “cashier” who thought he could smoke his cigarette quietly at the entrance to the restaurant is as unfriendly as possible. It is not possible to order a Calzone pizza even though it is on the menu (although if there is dough you can make a Calzone pizza…). To top it off, remember to bring cash, it is also not possible to pay by any other means. To flee!!!

Since change of ownership, things have been going downhill with them and today is the last time I order from them. I called them to have a pizza takeaway, they messed it up and I waited another 20 minutes and still they did not have the order. No apology, just a lame shrug of the shoulders- no shame whatsoever, just gave me my money back and onto the bext orders Previous management team were much more honest, considerate people. Don’t waste your money or time with them - after 4 years of supporting them, I’m done. So disappointed after all these years of supporting them :(

Pizza Nostra is my favorite Italian pizza place in Berlin. I eat there for more than 7 years. But today happened a very odd thing to me there. I got a plastic piece (2cm x 3cm) in my mouth with a pizza bite. I was shocked. I showed it to 2 guys who worked there and they said it cannot be that I got it from pizza. I felt like a fool. I am a loyal customer, I could hurt myself, luckily I didn’t. But I was not offered anything or cared in any way. Of course it could be the accident that something got into the pizza dough. But what about customer care? Very sad… I hope an owner will see this review. Update 30.04.2024: owner replied to my review, which I think is great, so I am changing the stars estimate. Pizza Nostra owner, thanks for being attentive, I will come by later and with pleasure accept your offered treat.

Pizza with a diameter of 35 cm is available here. Mega! They are prepared by us for the hungry to see, you can express your wishes and it goes quickly until the pizza is in front of you. We shared one and got quite full. We will stop by again soon!

It's amazing how much the quality has deteriorated here. The various delivery services are given priority over house guests. This means you have to wait longer than average for your food. What I then had lying on the paper plate in front of me was the worst pizza I had had in a long time.
