Best pizza in Berlin an absolute must!

Delicious and crispy pizza, which is properly topped with good ingredients. However, the prices are too high for a snack bar without indoor seating and for the small portion size. The service was very nice and explained the different varieties. There are only a few outdoor seats available.

Pizza NY and Detroit from the window - the place is open for takeout only. I decided on a NY-style pizza - very thin, super crispy crust with interesting flavors. I ordered a pizza with sausage and onion, olive pizza and Mexican tacos. A great place to grab a slice and continue exploring Berlin. A place worth recommending :)

Best pizzas ever. Both New York style and deep dish. Incredible. Really appreciate the agave hot sauce and oregano. I had Truffle, sausage and oignons and Okinawa taco pizza. All three delicious. Service is welcoming and super friendly. If I’m back Berlin, I’ll be back there for sure.

New York slices not worth mentioning. Detroit slices are good. Excessive prices and cheeky tipping when paying by card. No seats. Tourimeile Oranienburger Str. describes the operator's intention

Super tasty pizzas. It was rare that every variant tasted outstanding.

Pizza is delicious but really extremely expensive. You eat while standing in front of the shop. Definitely worth a visit to try it out, but in the long run I find the price for a slice or €30 for an entire pizza too high.

Of course, this is not Italian pizza, and you shouldn't compare it to an Italian pizza. But for a US pizza, it's phenomenal. Today I had the Halloween special with caramelized nuts and marshmallows - absolutely delicious!

Pizza is always delicious and perfect for your lunch break. 2 pieces of Detroit style or 3 NY style and you are well fed.

Pizza was very mediocre, dough is very tasty however everything that is on the pizza is not. In my opinion there is too much cheese and the pizza is way too greasy and heavy… Ingredients on the pizza are not good quality

Magic John's Pizza era la mejor pizza de Berlín! Pasamos por una cena rápida, y el servicio fue maravilloso. Fuimos en un momento que Google dijo que estaría muy ocupado y nos atienden inmediatamente. Cuando fui a pagar, la máquina se averió (creo que debido a mi teléfono) pero el personal era tan paciente y amable. La pizza iba a morirse. Tenemos una base libre de gluten y no tenía igual, Australia no tiene una base de pizza tan buena como esta!

I had the absolute pleasure of trying the Ricotta Detroit-style pizza at Magic John’s, and it was nothing short of incredible! The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and airy on the inside — exactly what you expect from a true Detroit-style pizza. The combination of the rich ricotta with the gooey cheese and fresh toppings made every bite heavenly. The atmosphere at Magic John’s is just okay because they don’t have tables and you have to eat outside. The staff is super friendly. If you’re in Berlin and love pizza, this is a must-visit spot!

From the USA here, I wish I had taken pictures of the food to show everyone how good it looks! This is everything Brooklyn style pizza should be. Thin crust, delicious toppings, and good sauce. Garlic knots are great, too. I can't speak for the deep dish, but the Brooklyn style is definitely worth it! Do yourself a favor and stop by for a slice!

If you are a hammered Brit looking for the familiar feeling of overpriced, greasy pizza with 2mm of topping on 15cm of fake-accia then look no further. They have a range of options which all taste the same but look slightly different and are similarly offensive on the stomach. They have solved the oil crisis too. The €50 experience that you couldn’t pay me €500 to repeat. That was delivered sideways resulting in the toppings sliding to the edge of each slice. I’m grateful for the experience as it validated Augustine’s privation theory.

Amazing place to get pizza, banging tunes to dance to while you wait and the staff are really friendly. There's no seating but if you go on a Sunday when Sausalitos is shut next door, there's plenty of places to sit and have a beer and enjoy the best pizza in Berlin.

Unfortunately I wasn't impressed with the taste. I had the Butternut and Sausage & Onion New York Style pizzas. The pizza dough is very crispy, but at the same time very dry. The topping from the butternut pizza together with the dough made everything very dry and the juicy component was missing. The Sausage & Onion Pizza didn't impress me in terms of taste. The staff was very nice.

This pizza is unbelievable good!! Sadly the gluten free one is not always available for delivery? I wonder when it's available and when not? Would love to always get it ❤️ And the garlic nots are sadly also all not gluten free

Before giving the review about pizza itself I really want to mention the friendliness of the stuff 🤍 the pizza was amazing, thin dough with nice toppings 👍 my personal favourite is olive (if you people like olives of course) and plain tomato sauce with cheese

The best pizza ever! Always tastes fantastic and is consistently good. Whether you eat in or get it delivered, it’s still great, which is appreciated as a lot of food doesn’t deliver well and goes cold - not here though :) The staff are also really nice. We’ve only ever had one issue and it was rectified right away, restoring our custom and there have been many orders since! It’s on the pricier side, but due to taste, consistency and quality I’d say it’s worth it! We’re obsessed with MJs in our house!

We did not know what we went to. It is basically a takeaway restaurant, with a few tables, were you can stand and eat. After having a bad pizza some days earlier(another place), we wanted to try the Detroit deep dish. And Wow, we loved it. Worth a visit🥳 if you like american style pizza🙏 we will visit next time in Berlin again.

It's a take away place but on a Sunday you could sneak into neighbouring benches to enjoy the pizzas, loved the Spicy Vodka a lot! I'll post a picture next time I visit them!

If you are tired of the 1000th Neapolitan pizza, come here. You won't regret it. Both the NY style and the deep dish are delicious. I prefer the NY style as the deep dish is quite heavy after a while.

Ob New York Style Pizza oder Detroit Deep Dish, die Pizza hier ist einfach wahnsinnig lecker. Die dicke Detroit Pan Pizza, die man in Deutschland nur selten findet, gibt es hier in einer Qualität, die tiefgekühlte Varianten oder Pizza Hut weit übertrifft. Leider gibt es nur wenige Sitzgelegenheiten, da das Restaurant eher auf Mitnahme ausgelegt ist. Trotzdem ein super Laden und eine starke Empfehlung!

First of all, the pizza is delicious! I went twice What the heck is wrong with the store's authority. If you don't like it, it's a good idea to use it as a ticket. Then, in order to get rid of the old Daum, I ran down to the bottom and pressed the words to get rid of it. It tastes good. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

The food is good, but the deep dish pizza is not deep dish, it is only a thick crust pizza, big portion of bread and same amount of topping though it should be the opposite to call it deepdish

We really enjoyed the pizza here and the dessert. The only downside is that there isn't much seating or good seating with tables. Would definitely go back again and try more flavors.

The pizza tastes great, creative sorts of pizza, tasty vegan option. Special shoutout to Zara, who is one of the friendliest faces in the Berlin food scene and makes you feel super welcome, always radiating good energy and adding to the attractiveness of the place. The music while waiting is also always good.

Very tasty pizza to warm up (favorite: Jalapeño vodka), but the ordering and pick-up situation quickly gets out of hand when there is a little more activity. That's why I've often looked for something somewhere else! Update: yeah, now there's a page where you can order and an edition with numbers that are called up! So much less chaos - now the full points are more than deserved 🥳

Me decepcionó mucho esta pizza, me dieron la porción equivocada y también la pizza era muy vieja y rancio. La salsa estaba completamente deshidratada. ¡Tuve que tirarlo! Me siento como porque pedí cuando acababan de abrir me dieron pizza sobrante de ahí el pedido equivocado y la condición antigua. Esperaba mucho mejor teniendo en cuenta las buenas críticas, espero que lo hagan mejor y dar el orden correcto y pizza fresca.

Honestly the worst pizza experience I had! First of all I ordered the Taco slice but they gave me something else. The food was super old, tasted like two day old pizza that had been reheated, the pizza was completely dry and very salty. As you can see in the pics how dry it looks and old the cheese is. I just came back from NY and they would be shocked to as this poor condition but also the wrong order. I never through pizza in the bin but honestly this was disgusting! Magic Johns you should be ashamed of yourselves!!!

Deep dish is not usually my bag. This was very good. Not Chicago deep dish, but a good fluffy version of it. 2 x €5 pieces were more than enough. It's an eat on the street thing, but the whole operation is quite legit. I suspect they are not German. There is joy in the vibe.

My favorite place in Berlin if you are looking for Detroit style deep dish pizza. Personally i love the truffle version with a nice cheddary, crunchy crust and soft dough. On busy days that unfortunately means you might have to wait up to 20min. But no worries: the rad Miso-Butter knots are a great way to snack on while waiting 😋

The Detroit pizza is very tasty, unfortunately you have to plan a lot of time, which is strange since the pizza is already pre-baked. You wait what feels like an eternity until you can eat.

New Yorker stamp of approval! Hands down the best gluten free pizza I have ever eaten in my life. The slices (not gluten free, but can be vegan with multiple vegan options) are also very authentic and feel like home. The “Ricotta” is delicious. For gluten free orders you can only get a deep dish, which makes me think that it is “celiac safe” and they avoid cross contamination. I respect that they don’t do gluten free thin crust because it lets me know they care about the quality and flavor of their product: They wouldn’t just serve you a second rate substitute, simply because you have a food allergy. The gluten free crust is perfect, and could work for sharing with someone who isn’t gluten intolerant and someone who is. Good job Magic Johns for making the world a better place.

Walk-up pizza window where you can get whole pizzas or pizza by the slice. Detroit style deep dish is a must try, solid New York slice as well. I enjoyed everything I've tried so far (Detroit Sausage & Onion, Detroit Spicy Vodka, and NY Pepperoni).

This pizzeria goes right into my top ones. Certainly, if you fancy NY style and, especially, Detroit style, it's definitely a good idea to come here. About the pizza: I tried the plain (margherita) Detroit, pepperoni NY and "spicy vodka NY". I loved the first two. "Spicy Vodka" was ok but I wasn't crazy about it. The Detroit was properly aired with good crunch and proper bottom. The crispy cheesy border is to die for. NY was great, crispy and light. About the service: The girl who took the orders was lovely and super nice. The kind of person that puts a smile on your day. About the place: There are no tables inside. Some space around where you can eat standing up or, if you go at a time when the next door restaurant is closed (like Saturday at noon), you can sit on the tables there.

We stumbled across this by accident. Little did we know that they serve gluten-free dough deep-dish and thin slice pizza. We tried their deep-dish plain, as it was the only gf option available by the slice at the time. They will make a whole gf pizza to order with any of the toppings though. We’ll be back for more. It was delicious. Also, amazing how fluffy their gf dough is.

I have to say, I think because my friends celebrate this place so much, I've already tried almost all the different types and I highly recommend going to another pizzaria because there are so many better places in Berlin.

Besides the pizza being GODLY, the nicest girl ever served me today. She had dark curls and the sweetest smile. It was a very simple interaction but she was just so nice and made my whole day. Wish her the best!! (Also get the deep dish Taco Okinawa.. TRUST ME)
