Pistenklause Pizzeria in Nürburg

Very crowded, a bit loud, but otherwise good food.

If you're going to the Nurburgring, this pizzeria is a must-visit. Signatures everywhere, photos of famous drivers, a motorsports atmosphere, and delicious food. I recommend the pizzas and the stone-cooked meat (carpaccio was bland).

We had a delicious meal here. The staff was very friendly and nice. Later, even younger people came, probably the owner's children, who were also very friendly. The price/performance ratio was good.

This is a must visit if you’re a tourist at the ring.

Unfortunately, the pasta was overcooked and we can't recommend the pizza from the frozen package 🥲...

Legendary steak on a stone. Always busy and sometimes tricky to get a table. Seating is quite crowded but worth visiting at least once.

We've been coming for several years for the famous stone-roasted meat, but each year the quality drops a little more and the price increases. And every time, there's a problem with the bill! They add things we didn't order, and recently we were charged for "water glass rental." We've never seen anything like that, it's a scandal!

This is definitely a restaurant with an amazing atmosphere, vibe, and food. It’s not my first time here — I always happily come back. Starting with the food, the best choice you can make is to order the steak on a stone. The portion is really generous and comes with French fries, a crisp, fresh salad, and delicious condiments. The beer selection is excellent too, especially the Bitburger. Even though this time we came as a group of 12, we didn’t have to wait long for our food. Everyone was extremely happy with their meals and with the outstanding service from our Polish waitress, who was very pleasant and took great care of us. The ambiance of this place is truly special, filled with memorabilia connected to the racers of the Green Hell, creating a unique and unforgettable atmosphere. Some members of our group were visiting for the first time and said this was their favorite spot out of all the places we visited in Nürburg and Adenau. The restaurant also has a lovely terrace, perfect for warmer days. We will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend this place to car enthusiasts and regular visitors alike — the experience is truly unforgettable.

Pizza and pasta are top-notch. The €18 Cordon Bleu is ridiculous for the price. It doesn't even fill the palm of your hand.

The rump steak cooked on a hot stone, including fries and sauce, was good! The food came a little too quickly for our taste. We had barely gotten our drinks when the main course arrived. The service could be improved; there was a lack of clarity. All in all, though, it was a nice evening.

The food was great and the waiters made an effort to bring everything quickly.

Wonderful ambiance. Highly recommended steak on a hot stone and fries. Schnitzel dishes are rather mediocre. Frozen and then straight into the deep fryer. And finally, not just Bitburgers, but also a Kölsch beer ;)

Unfortunately, I haven't eaten such a bad steak in a long time. The only good thing is the long opening hours. Almost €30 for a steak that was half raw and cooked on the other side. Unfortunately, a total flop.

We were referred to Goto this place because of the Racing legends that have patronized this place over the years and left their mark… Honestly I think they made their mark and never came back… The food was something out of Kitchen Nightmares completely! The appetizer of Parmesan Mushrooms was a joke… literally a bunch of shaved Parmesan with prepackaged sliced muchrooms and was edible but we were hungry so it was enough to consume it before we got our food. For my entree I ordered the Argentinian Beef Fillet on the Hot Stone and it literally was a blob of meat on a hot stone… far from a fillet… the fries were terrible… and yeah definitely not worth €33 whatsoever. I felt ashamed of eating this afterwards as i definitely was ripped off. My partner had the pizza and it was like a 5 out of 10… we tried to see if the dessert would redeem the experience but ohh god completely wrong… I honestly think racers come here for the beer with the spirit of the legends and have drunk food because there’s no way any sober person would enjoy this food. I hope to god this place works on their stuff because it’s such a slap in the face for the legends that came here with such crap food. I saw the signatures I wanted to see… will I go back? For a beer yeah. But literally that’s it. Stay away from the food. Also we were over charged by €25 because they “accidentally” hit the wrong button when we checked out. Luckily we read the receipt and realized it. Also… for the record, I felt that I had to post this review because there is no way in heck this place is 4.4 stars… definitely a 2…

Were here for the first time today. Very busy but got a table straight away. Very friendly staff. But unfortunately the food wasn't great. Bruschetta was prepared so no warm crusty bread. Tortellini very buttery taste not like cream. The hot waffle was a ready waffle so unfortunately it wasn't fresh either.

The setting is nice, lots of references to motorsport. For the food, we will return, too salty and few flavors

Not recommended with children. The waitress constantly pets the children as if they were dogs. Totally cross-border. Our daughter started crying and continued to be patted. Eating in peace is not possible with such service.

as always: 'pistenklause' at the Nürburgring. clocky as ever. racing stop is a tradition. In my opinion, the signs of the times are not passing by the Pistenklause either. Declining food quality and not entirely easy communication with the foreign-language service staff (there were problems even in English) make you wish for the old days at the ring.

We were there for lunch. Typical Italian cuisine. Absolutely moderate price structure. The food was really cheap and good. We had various pizzas and salads. Thoroughly recommended.

Quaint pub in the basement of a hotel. A must for racing fans, everyone is immortalized there with a picture and signature. Has a nice flair. The food is a little above average, but not outstanding. Price-performance ratio is OK.

Pizza was quite ok. With the bruschetta, the bread was soggy, the tomatoes had no flavor and the balsamic vinegar on top ruined the rest. The pasta dish was delivered with the wrong ingredients, the boss Just explained that the guests want it that way. After noting that it says differently on the menu, he just reacts annoyed and ignorant. The service staff is great, unfortunately the boss always takes the money and so the tips don't reach the staff. The boss is a slob and brags to the guests about who is and was a regular with him. The service to the guest would be better, and if there was a mistake, perhaps a schnapps on the house or something similar. I really feel sorry for the employees, they are super nice and put in a lot of effort. But the boss ruins a lot.

Das Restaurant ist eine Ikone am Nürburgring. Die Steaks vom Heißen Stein sind ausgezeichnet, auch die italienische Küche ist gut und die Preise sind moderat. Wer den Nürburgring besucht, sollte dieses Restaurant nicht verpassen.

Great atmosphere, a must for motorsport fans. Price performance not really good. Main courses were okay and tasted good. Starter was okay. Dessert was absolutely out of the question, €7.50 for 2 pre-packaged waffles (8 pieces in the supermarket €1.49) soaked in purchased chocolate sauce was a cheek.

The facility is more than unique; All the pictures and decorative elements from motorsport are worth a visit. Unfortunately, the restaurant as a whole makes a rather dingy impression. Unfortunately they didn't manage to serve our food at the same time; one lady was almost finished by the time the last person got their food. They also didn't get the right combination: fries were brought instead of fried potatoes and the vegetables were forgotten and delivered later. Unfortunately the bruschetta was soggy. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right, as the food is okay at best.

The place is nice especially if you are into racing. The service was ok as well. The pizza was terrible, probably frozen and burnt. The ingredients on pizza (e.g. cheese and salami) were not good either. Maybe a good place for a beer and some snacks but I will not dine there again.

Wow had the stake and can say its amazing cooked on a hot stone yourself. Staff were great there friendly and fun. With great pictures and more around the room beer was nice aswell good night out at good price

We had a delicious meal here, with a grill plate on the table and a large piece of steak that you can grill yourself, which was perfect.

The food here is delicious, the hot stone is definitely a highlight. Unfortunately it is very narrow and with many guests it gets very loud. There is no ventilation in the back, which makes it very smoky when the stone is hot. Overall, the ambience is nice, the pictures and car parts on the walls give the restaurant that certain something. A must for all motorsport and Nordschleife fans

I cannot recommend this restaurant, Pistenklause, despite its convenient location within the Hotel Tiergarten am Nürburg. The food and service fell far below expectations, and the most concerning issue was the handling of the bill. It truly felt like we were being taken advantage of, and guests should be very cautious to avoid being overcharged. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I sincerely hope the restaurant takes steps to improve their transparency and honesty in the future.

ATTENTION RIP-OFF!!! Food is okay (hot stone) Ambience is also okay...BUT be careful when billing... we would be ripped off, as they say, and as I read here there are others who have eaten there and experienced the same thing. The employee simply billed us for the wrong meat, and by the time we noticed we were already halfway home. We all ordered the same meat on the hot stone, and were billed for the most expensive :( so in our case the employee charged each of them €5 more. What a shame!!!

Bucket list location. Everyone who comes to the Nürburgring should visit the Pistenklause at least once. The Italian restaurant is on the ground floor of Hotell Tiergarten (where Sabine Schmitz grew up) and is one of the "watering holes" at the Nürburgring. Whether for a meal or just a beer, you are in good hands in the hermitage. The atmosphere is pure petrolhead and the audience is very mixed. I really like it.

The place to go for motorsport fans ....so much history...so much on the menu to choose from.... Steak on the stone is a house speciality...but.... their other meat, pasta dishes, and salads are better.. and certainly good value. The pizza choice is also excellent...

Great experience! A must for every Nürburgring visitor. Had lunch here and the restaurant was empty! We had time and were able to look at the walls in peace. Today I was in the legendary Pistenklause for the first time. Unfortunately, I was immediately disappointed and there probably won't be a second visit. There is no reasonable price/performance ratio. The portions for all of us at the table were like a child's portion. The lasagna, for example, for 12.00 euros was almost okay, a wheat beer for 5.50 euros was really expensive, but... The Cordon Bleu for €18.50 was almost outrageous, especially because it was clearly a frozen product from the deep fryer and the handful of fries that went with it matched the overall impression. Conclusion: There are far better restaurants around the Nordschleife, cult or not

It is essential to stop by here, the very friendly service and the brutal atmosphere!

The three of us ended a great day at the Nürburgring here. Here you get great food and very attentive and friendly service in an authentic atmosphere. An absolute place to be for hungry motorsport fans. Thank you very much - we'll be back!

2nd visit in 10 years but with a different group of friends. Good beer, iconic venue and of course the steak on a stone. Shouldn’t be missed if you’re in the area. It’s wise to book and nice to gawp at the cars parked outside.

Dingy dining room, the food is below average, and the staff is unfriendly. The prices on the bill are more expensive than stated in the menu and when asked why that is the case, they say that the prices have to be discussed with the boss. Incredibly rude and cheeky. Definitely not recommended. Never again.

NO recommendation!!! Worst snack bar in town. Dry rolls are provided, herb butter costs extra. Pizza toppings not edible. Steak drowns in sauce. Price information on the menu is incorrect!!! Altbier €2.50 according to the menu, the bill says €3.00. No complaint, no apology, just laughing at the guests.

The atmosphere is truly retro. Serving meat cooked on stones at the table is nice, but when 50 people cook meat at the table at the same time, we get incredibly smokey. Ventilation is poor.

Had a great meal on our last night at the ring, surreal atmosphere with all the motor sport memorabilia and history all over walls. Rocked up with no reservation and the boss organised a table for us. The vibe was buzzing with everyone there after TF, Porsche's lining the streets outside. Crazy Italian service and the steak on the hot stone was worth it. Ample parking down the road by the fire station.

Really good food. Very tender salmon and delicious pitza. The house was quite full but the service kept everything running [respect]. Pre-ordering on race weekends is recommended.

Food and ambience very good. Service (waiter, Croatian origin) extremely unfriendly. Individual payments for groups are too complicated for him. Apparently afraid of not getting enough tips. That's why we "unfortunately" won't be going there anymore.

You can't miss having dinner at this place once you've finished on the track. The decoration is impressive since there is almost no free space on the wall without photos of pilots... It's like a museum 😎 I think it was the only place where we could have something decent for dinner, we ordered the meat on the stone and we got it right... Other pretty normal food. If you want to buy your red stickers with the letter N of the circuit, now is your time since next to the restaurant is the hotel where they are sold at the reception. Ahhhh and you can leave "your mark" by signing somewhere you can find on the walls 💪

Der Kellner war total überfordert, er war unfreundlich, ungeduldig und hatte eindeutig keine Lust, uns zu bedienen. Wir konnten keine Fragen zu den Gerichten stellen und mussten die Getränke ohne Karte bestellen. Nach dem Essen mussten wir lange warten, wir mussten extra nach der Rechnung fragen, die er uns nur mit viel Stöhnen gab, Kartenzahlung war auch nicht erwünscht. Positiv war das gute, reichhaltige Esssen und die Dekoration im Saal, für die es sich lohnt, einige Minuten zu verwenden.

Legendary restaurant right on the Nordschleife. The menu is well filled with typical Italian dishes, if you like Italian you will always find something. Our personal highlight, however, is the steak served on the hot stone. The meat is of very high quality and tasted very good.

We really enjoyed our meal here. It was a very reasonable price and delicous. All of the motorsport memorabilia everywhere to look at was just the icing on the cake for us! After a long day of walking all day it was just what we needed. It's not fine dining, it's good, honest home cooking, I would call it. Very tasty and satisfying.

Really very tasty pizza. We haven't experienced anything like this in a long time; We wouldn't have expected it in Nürburg (tourist town). Fast, friendly staff even though the shop was packed after the NLS4 race! Absolutely recommended and definitely our go-to place if we are in the area again!

The worst waiter ever (with beard,skinny). When I asked if I an join another table where is only one person and that person agreed, he literally shoured on me "this is my side, when I say you can't - you can't ". After that I asked him politely to talk with me in a different manner. Guess what? He shouted on me even more... People were looking at him. And yea, I left.... It was just horrible...
