Found Picknick whilst wandering around Frankfurt, so glad we did. Great food, great service …. Loved it! We had hummus plate and Essaouira (Shakshuka with Sucuk) both good size portions and full of flavour…. The warm bread that accompanied the dishes is gorgeous too! Definitely good value for money as well.

A cafe with lots of charm and tasty dishes with a good selection of vegetarian options. There are always new highlights to discover on the menu. Be sure to try the great selection of cakes, great vegan variants. Delicious homemade lemonades.

Very nice service. Picnic plates and falafel were great (except for coleslaw). The leaf and cabbage salads were very dry and even with an extra dash of sauce you could only taste the bitter salad because the sauce was too weak. Cakes are great, including some vegan ones. Unfortunately the caffeine-free espresso wasn't good at all. Tasted like a simple café crema/brew coffee. (Yes, I know that decaf espresso never tastes as good as caffeinated espresso) It was okay in a caffeine-free cappuccino, but not a big hit either.

Delicious food, nice service, good location

I ordered a picnic menu here. When I ate the brown food, it had such a strange, hard texture in my mouth that I took it out and found a black object. I felt it wasn't food and told the employee it looked like a fly. However, the employee replied that it was grain. Grain? I've never seen such strange grains in my life. Both in texture and appearance, it really looked like a fly and was very disgusting. In addition, the ladies who served us were very unfriendly. A male employee kept banging on the juice machine, making loud noises. I will not visit this restaurant again.

We had a delicious brunch of Shakshuka and a Hoummus plate. Amazing food and yummy juice seltzer. Our waiter was charming and funny,highly recommend for relaxed day grazing.

Heute war ich mit meiner Freundin im Picknick um zu frühstücken. Die Kellnerin war von Anfang an sehr unfreundlich, sie hat gerade so ein leises Hallo über die Lippen bekommen. Als sie die Bestellung aufnehmen wollte, habe ich sie lediglich gefragt, ob es auch Brötchen gäbe, sie verneinte. Dann drehte sie uns den Rücken zu u ging einfach wieder weg, so dass wir keine Bestellung abgeben konnten. Dachten erst, sie holt nur kurz etwas oder Ähnliches… aber es kam nichts, sie ging einfach. Haben wir absolut nicht verstanden. Sehr unfreundlich u man fühlt sich nicht willkommen. Hier würde ich nie wieder einen Fuß rein bewegen. Heute Morgen war es, der 5.7.24.

Great Café to eat and drink, food is diverse and freshly made. (I personally recommend the marokkan pancakes). Café and homemade lemonades are original and great. And we don't have to talk about how unique it looks.

Great location and very nice location. There is a large selection of cakes and tarts. I decided on the vegan plucked cake. With a cappuccino and a small water it was around 13 euros.

It's a really good cafe with some good food options. The best part is the location and outside seating options where you can relax and enjoy the meal or drinks. The food on offer is simple but healthy and tasty. Staff is very friendly as well, so overall, it is a really good experience. The only downside is that it is a bit pricey, especially for the add-in options for the dishes. I guess location makes it costly 😀

Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience at the Bornheim picnic today I had ordered an iced matcha with soy milk, which was so incredibly bitter that I unfortunately had to return it and asked for a new one instead This was only brought after more than 20 minutes and unfortunately it was with cow's milk Since I am both vegan and lactose intolerant, I asked that I please swap it for one with soy milk (the previous one was also with soy milk) When it was brought to me after another 15 minutes, this time by a different waitress, I was very unkindly informed that this was only done as a gesture of goodwill... and that it wouldn't work like that next time When I asked if she had tried the first one, she seemed confused because she had obviously tried the second matcha with cow's milk, which wasn't too bitter, but with cow's milk, and the other waitress said she probably didn't know anything about the first one I had said about bitter matcha and it now seemed as if I had simply returned the drinks several times, which was definitely not the case! I've been going to the picnic in Borheim for many years and unfortunately I'm very disappointed with the behavior towards me

We went for lunch at this cafe. The lady who served us food was good and kind. The food also was very good. However the lady who served us latte macchiato from the cafe was rude and threw the sugar packet and spoon( to stir) on to the table. This was really disrespectful!!!

I was indoors for the first time in a long period of abstinence: mint tea and the picnic bench special platter. Firstly, the food was delicious - wow - and also important, the service was simply top. The young woman who served us was very friendly in an absolutely authentic way. Attentive, quick and warm, even though the shop was packed today (Friday). When will other restaurant owners finally understand that this is incredibly important?!? Directly based on the quality of the food. Other employees who came to our table from time to time were also friendly and in a good mood. This way the whole food tastes better and a visit becomes a wonderful experience. We'll definitely be coming back more often now and hope it stays that way 💜

Discovered by chance while strolling along Bergerstrasse. Ordered a Moroccan pancake and fresh berry tea there and both were so delicious! And the team very attentive.

Top service, top atmosphere, worst Moroccan pancakes I've ever eaten. And I also know a different kind of Moroccan tea without cardamom, for example.

Just a total disaster. We ordered the Moroccan pancakes and you could clearly taste them and also look at them and see that they were definitely not fresh! They had been lying there for at least a few hours, if not they were from the day before. But if it was just “the kitchen says it’s fresh” the amount would have had to be deducted from the bill because we only got one bite.

I've enjoyed eating at picnics every now and then, but had a bad experience last night. I ordered lentil soup. Unfortunately, it didn't taste good (mediocre to bad canteen level) and left me feeling heavy in my stomach the whole evening. I'm still feeling queasy this morning. The rest of the atmosphere wasn't very pleasant either (barking dog in the restaurant, woman brushing hair two tables away).

A super nice place in the heart of Bornheim with very tasty cuisine. We were here on a Friday evening and it was busy. The atmosphere is very cozy and the lighting is pleasant and warm. We were able to have a good chat at any time. The menu includes some oriental dishes. I had the falafel plate with hummus and grilled vegetables. Super tasty and big enough. I was full! The selection of drinks is also great. Another highlight are the service staff. The people there are super friendly and attentive. Rabia gave us a wonderful evening and was warm and attentive. I'm really looking forward to the next visit!

First time I went with my friend, then I took my family again here. The food and drinks are awesome, service is fast. The only con is that due to crowd it is too loud. PS: both the times I went on a Sunday, that could also be the reason for crowd as many places are closed

Very tasty and fresh food at fair prices, the service is very attentive and quick. The ambience is harmonious and fits into the store, only the chairs are a bit uncomfortable, so a seat cushion would be good.

Normally everything is great, but today we ordered freshly squeezed juice for our little son and at some point we received freshly squeezed juice from an unsealed 2 liter canister that was already bad. When we told the waitress, she assured us that it was freshly squeezed and then took out the giant canister herself and tried it and said it was good and that the strange taste came from the fact that orange, carrot and apple were mixed together... and then she didn't have it either want to take back. Really super unhygienic and disgusting, apart from the fact that there are no vitamins left in it and the consistency is pretty disgusting. You don't run the coffee through the portafilter two days in advance and then warm it up in the microwave. Except for the juice, everything else is great and otherwise always good so far... I just think that something like that is really disgusting and unnecessary. If juicing is too time-consuming, then it's better not to offer it.

It was a satisfactory experience. What I particularly didn't like was one of the server's attitude to me and my friend. She was a bit rude to us in the beginning, but a bit later we were served by this other person who was really nice. The food was okay, the place was crowded. Overall I would say it would have been an okay experience if it weren't for the initial misunderstanding.

Das Café ist sehr schön gestaltet und gemütlich. Es ist auch sehr beliebt immer und gut besucht. Für meinen Geschmack sind gerade die runden Tische etwas eng und unpraktisch, wenn man mit mehreren Leuten essen möchte. Hätte ich das gewusst, hätte ich einen Tisch mlt Bank reserviert = eckiger Tisch und am Rand gelegen. Der Service war bemüht.

Angenehmes Ambiente, große Kuchenauswahl (!) - der Kürbiscrumble war auch echt lecker. Würde wiederkommen. Gerade für die Ecke eine Location, wo man noch mit größerer Wahrscheinlichkeit einen Platz bekommt, da es hier viel Platz gibt. Hinten kann man in die offene Küche schauen - sah gut aus! Kuchen in vegan und vegane Milchalternativen vorhanden 👌

Ich liebe es!! Mir gefällt das Café sehr gut und bin jedes Mal sehr zufrieden. Die Mitarbeiter_Innen freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Ich bin oft mit meiner kleinen Tochter vor Ort und sind sehr kinderfreundlich! Allerdings finde ich die wickelkommode nicht so toll- mitten im Flur und für kleine Menschen nicht so gut.

The place has a very vibrant atmosphere, very much recommended for dates or friends or family meetups. They serve good hot beverages like a variety of coffee and tea. Also serves a lot of variety of cakes which tastes amazing along with sandwiches, falafel, salads. The only disappointment was with the waiters where some of them were unfriendly. And need to wait to get a response for them , when they are busy at least expect a smile and say shortly please or something nice. But they ignore and ignore also while we were requesting for a nicer place to sit when the places were available they are not responding friendly.. other than that a must recommend place to visit.

Außergewöhnlich schöner Laden im Herzen von Frankfurt! Das Ambiente lädt zum Verweilen ein und nicht zuletzt durch die überaus netten Bedingungen! Wir haben hier schon mehrmals mit der ganzen Familie gegessen und es war für jeden etwas leckeres dabei! Am liebsten habe ich die täglich wechselnden Kuchen, bei denen es auch eine Vielfalt an veganen Optionen gibt. Ich kann euch das Picknick Cafe in Bornheim wirklich vom Herzen empfehlen !

Schickes Café mitten in Bornheim. Der Gastraum ist riesig und geht "um die Kurve". Durch die große Glasfront kommt viel Licht und man kann wunderbar das Treiben draußen verfolgen. Alternative bei gutem Wetter: die abgetrennte Terrasse mit Sitzplätzen vor dem Café. Das Angebot reicht von Frühstück bis 16 Uhr, über marokkanische Snacks und kleine Gerichte hin zu Kuchen und Pfannkuchen bis spät am Abend. Unser Essen schmeckte lecker (unsere Minz-Maracuja-Limonade hätte noch ein bisschen mehr Maracuja vertragen), unser Service war sehr freundlich und fix, wir fühlten uns wohl. Günstig ist es nicht, aber Preis-Leistung gehen in Ordnung. Parken: Sehr schwierig, nehmt am besten das Saalbau Bornheim Parkhaus.
