Food was delicious and big portions. But the noise level inside was overwhelming that we can barely hear each other.

Very good breakfast and drinks. Excellent dining experience: we will return if we have the chance.

Incredibly great food, great service. Prices have recently increased a bit too much for my taste but all in all it's one of my favorite restaurants in Bornheim.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed in the picnic café in Bornheim. I ordered the Hummus & Shakshuka with extra chicken. In my opinion, €19 is absolutely not justified for this tiny portion. There were only 4 small chicken strips on the plate and the poached egg was hard boiled. We were moved to another table, but the new table wasn't even cleaned and was still full of crumbs from the guests in front of it. The elephant bay drink was quite tasty, but that was it. I wouldn't go here again.

That's a big advantage that it's open until 10 p.m. The coffee isn't the best, but it's nice there.

The picnic café near the Berger is a recommendation! The ambience and service is really fabulous. The food is very tasty and plentiful. Simply good!

A nice cafe in itself. During my visit at the end of November 2024, I clearly noticed how the boss or shift manager treated a service employee very disrespectfully and made a mess of her at the counter. It's not appropriate to treat your employees like that, especially when there's a full house with guests

The variety and quality of the food (there are also gluten-free cakes 😊) is really excellent and the cozy corners and beautiful ceiling lamps conjure up a great ambience. But I am particularly impressed by the service. I have never experienced such attentive, fast and friendly service in any restaurant in the world. Someone should say something against the younger generations, at the picnic it is mainly the young service staff who effortlessly and elegantly float through the rows with their acrobatic skills, fully loaded and still picking up the next order with one ear. My highest respect, see you soon!

Tasty but really crowded and loud.

How was it? Delicious😍 Definitely stop by, there's something for every palate...and the service is very relaxed, friendly and fast...even though it was busy, we got the food quickly. The tables were a little too close together, but that didn't bother us. There are pictures of dishes on the site... enjoy it🍽️... oh yes, and the freshly squeezed juice - a real vitamin bomb 🥤🥤... for your wellbeing

Simply delicious! Great selection, whether vegan cakes and tarts, or a hearty breakfast. You will find what you are looking for there.

Nice restaurant with nice employees. But the pricing policy is tough: if you want falafel, halloumi or something similar with a dish (e.g. a salad), you won't get less than €20. Drinks also expensive, Aperol Spritz 9.50. As a single person you quickly end up with 40€ for food and 1-2 drinks. For the price you can eat much better in Frankfurt.

Un sitio estupendo para tomarte una rica comida marroquí, en un ambiente cordial y muy agradable. Nos ha gustado el hummus, el falafel, el tajini, Agdir-stulle y la tarta de queso. Todo muy bueno y bien servido por un simpático equipo de camareros. Carlos un crack!!

The food is really exceptionally good and very tasty. Additionally very varied dishes. If you like oriental cuisine or would like to try it, you should definitely eat here. The service is excellent. Everyone is very accommodating and friendly. The food is served promptly. In summer you can eat outside very nicely. Unfortunately it is a bit noisy inside in winter, which is of course also due to the high number of visitors.

Lecker, gemütlich, aufmerksam, sympathisch, irgendwie anders, ja, man kann alles auf einmal haben. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

We had a very tasty oriental breakfast here. All dishes were freshly prepared, tailored to the German palate and also quite expensive. During peak times you should reserve in advance!

Great bread and delicious hummus

Nice staff. I ordered scrambled eggs unfortunately the scrambled eggs were pink which is a sign of spoiled eggs. I have new scrambled eggs, unfortunately after 5 minutes the staff brought me the same plate with the pink scrambled eggs. Despite complaining and pointing out that they might have been spoiled because of the pink color, I still had to pay for the pink eggs. Just because they wanted to serve me with the same plate, even though I clearly said I didn't want pink eggs, the plate was brought back to me anyway. So to put it in plain English, unfortunately the employees wanted to rip me off. It's a real shame for such a shop that is very well known in bornheim.

This is a typical cafe in Bornheim that has the ambience you want. We had a delicious meal here and were pleasantly surprised by the delicacies on the menu. Everything was very tasty and recommended. You should definitely try the Inge drink.

Great cakes, delicious drinks, great staff

The food is delicious but the prices are unreasonable. Price-performance ratio is not right, especially not with the now small portion size. The drink prices are outrageous. We have often eaten there over the years. The service was top, the ambience was very nice, the food was very good and the prices were still ok for Frankfurt standards. However, after our last visit we were very disappointed.

Really good place. Weekend is crowded. They have lot of seating options. Havent spared an inch 😉 Service is good as well as the food. They have inhouse Tea bag which they Serve for chai Tea latte. Its a lot of tea 😉 the interiors are in a bohemian style and arabic. There are lot of lamps and lights which makes it a very cozy place for a coffee Chat. I found the Wall paintings not going well with the interiors. May be a suggestion from my side ;) They accept card for payment.

Nach einem Eishockey Spiel unweit des Picknick Café in Frankfurt Bornheim wollten wir noch spontan einen Kaffee to go und idealerweise glutenfreien Kuchen bekommen. Gegen 17 Uhr war es äußert gut ausgelastet bei tollem September Wetter, sowohl draußen als auch drinnen viel Plätze. Vorallem, aber nicht ausschließlich, junge Menschen,auch viele Familien mit Kindern zu der Zeit. Sehr eng zum Teil zwischen ändern Gästen und Personal. Unerwartet, für mich, dass 2 oder 3 (2 deklariert, 3 verbal angepriesen) glutenfreie (GF) Kuchen in der Auslage präsentiert wurden. Ich hatte einen GF Haselnusskuchen gewählt sowie einen großen Cappuccino mit Mandelmilch, mein Schwager einen großen Kaffee. Ohne doe genauen Preise zu wissen hat alles zusammen 14,60€ gekostet was beinahe 5€/Kuchen/Kaffee entspricht. Recht hochpreisig in der Tat. Insgesamt aber positiver Eindruck und daher einen Weiterempfehlung meinerseits.

Very unfriendly service. Shortly after we sat down at the table on a Saturday afternoon, a waitress slapped a 'reserved' sign on our table. The others banged things (menu, plates) onto the neighboring tables several times very loudly. Later, when I wanted to look at the cake counter; The waitress came with food and hissed "Careful" - but in a tone: "Piss off!" When we had paid, one of the waitresses said in an unfriendly tone: "Can I have the table now?"

A cafe with lots of charm and tasty dishes with a good selection of vegetarian options. There are always new highlights to discover on the menu. Be sure to try the great selection of cakes, great vegan variants. Delicious homemade lemonades. Be sure to try the turmeric lemonade.

Top location and the best falafel in the city

I love this cafe because of that beautiful ambience and delicious delicacies. Unfortunately the service is very bad. The female waiter is unfriendly and appears arrogant. When I asked for a spoon for my muesli, she first calmly handed out the table signs, then chatted with her colleague and noticed very clearly that I wasn't able to eat the food I had ordered. The store wasn't full. Very disappointing…

Very nice restaurant with really good Moroccan food. In addition to a large selection of breakfast options, there are many different dishes for lunch and dinner. The dishes usually consist of various salads and dips, plus very tasty bread. Soups and tagines are also offered.

It is a restaurant with many vegetarian options with a clear Arabic influence. I recommend the Teller picnic and the lentil soup. Don't forget to order Hummus with bread. It sounds simple, but I have never tasted better hummus than what they make. The staff is extremely attentive and good people.

Encontré a Picknick mientras paseaba por Frankfurt, me alegro de que lo hiciéramos. Gran comida, gran servicio... Me encantó! Teníamos plato de hummus y Essaouira (Shakshuka con Sucuk) ambos porciones de buen tamaño y lleno de sabor... . El pan caliente que acompañó a los platos es precioso también! Definitivamente una buena relación calidad-precio también.

Very nice service. Picnic plates and falafel were great (except for coleslaw). The leaf and cabbage salads were very dry and even with an extra dash of sauce you could only taste the bitter salad because the sauce was too weak. Cakes are great, including some vegan ones. Unfortunately the caffeine-free espresso wasn't good at all. Tasted like a simple café crema/brew coffee. (Yes, I know that decaf espresso never tastes as good as caffeinated espresso) It was okay in a caffeine-free cappuccino, but not a big hit either.

I ordered a picnic menu here. When I ate the brown food, it had such a strange, hard texture in my mouth that I took it out and found a black object. I felt it wasn't food and told the employee it looked like a fly. However, the employee replied that it was grain. Grain? I've never seen such strange grains in my life. Both in texture and appearance, it really looked like a fly and was very disgusting. In addition, the ladies who served us were very unfriendly. A male employee kept banging on the juice machine, making loud noises. I will not visit this restaurant again.

We had a very good breakfast, the atmosphere was fine and the price-performance ratio was right. However, the staff could be a little nicer or better.

We had a delicious brunch of Shakshuka and a Hoummus plate. Amazing food and yummy juice seltzer. Our waiter was charming and funny,highly recommend for relaxed day grazing.

Heute war ich mit meiner Freundin im Picknick um zu frühstücken. Die Kellnerin war von Anfang an sehr unfreundlich, sie hat gerade so ein leises Hallo über die Lippen bekommen. Als sie die Bestellung aufnehmen wollte, habe ich sie lediglich gefragt, ob es auch Brötchen gäbe, sie verneinte. Dann drehte sie uns den Rücken zu u ging einfach wieder weg, so dass wir keine Bestellung abgeben konnten. Dachten erst, sie holt nur kurz etwas oder Ähnliches… aber es kam nichts, sie ging einfach. Haben wir absolut nicht verstanden. Sehr unfreundlich u man fühlt sich nicht willkommen. Hier würde ich nie wieder einen Fuß rein bewegen. Heute Morgen war es, der 5.7.24.

Great Café to eat and drink, food is diverse and freshly made. (I personally recommend the marokkan pancakes). Café and homemade lemonades are original and great. And we don't have to talk about how unique it looks.

Great location and very nice location. There is a large selection of cakes and tarts. I decided on the vegan plucked cake. With a cappuccino and a small water it was around 13 euros.

It's a really good cafe with some good food options. The best part is the location and outside seating options where you can relax and enjoy the meal or drinks. The food on offer is simple but healthy and tasty. Staff is very friendly as well, so overall, it is a really good experience. The only downside is that it is a bit pricey, especially for the add-in options for the dishes. I guess location makes it costly 😀

Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience at the Bornheim picnic today I had ordered an iced matcha with soy milk, which was so incredibly bitter that I unfortunately had to return it and asked for a new one instead This was only brought after more than 20 minutes and unfortunately it was with cow's milk Since I am both vegan and lactose intolerant, I asked that I please swap it for one with soy milk (the previous one was also with soy milk) When it was brought to me after another 15 minutes, this time by a different waitress, I was very unkindly informed that this was only done as a gesture of goodwill... and that it wouldn't work like that next time When I asked if she had tried the first one, she seemed confused because she had obviously tried the second matcha with cow's milk, which wasn't too bitter, but with cow's milk, and the other waitress said she probably didn't know anything about the first one I had said about bitter matcha and it now seemed as if I had simply returned the drinks several times, which was definitely not the case! I've been going to the picnic in Borheim for many years and unfortunately I'm very disappointed with the behavior towards me

We went for lunch at this cafe. The lady who served us food was good and kind. The food also was very good. However the lady who served us latte macchiato from the cafe was rude and threw the sugar packet and spoon( to stir) on to the table. This was really disrespectful!!!

I was indoors for the first time in a long period of abstinence: mint tea and the picnic bench special platter. Firstly, the food was delicious - wow - and also important, the service was simply top. The young woman who served us was very friendly in an absolutely authentic way. Attentive, quick and warm, even though the shop was packed today (Friday). When will other restaurant owners finally understand that this is incredibly important?!? Directly based on the quality of the food. Other employees who came to our table from time to time were also friendly and in a good mood. This way the whole food tastes better and a visit becomes a wonderful experience. We'll definitely be coming back more often now and hope it stays that way 💜

Discovered by chance while strolling along Bergerstrasse. Ordered a Moroccan pancake and fresh berry tea there and both were so delicious! And the team very attentive.

Top service, top atmosphere, worst Moroccan pancakes I've ever eaten. And I also know a different kind of Moroccan tea without cardamom, for example.
