We have been to Uni der Buchscheer many times and are very satisfied with the food, the staff and the ambience. Nothing to complain about!

Delicious Frankfurt cuisine, friendly, prompt service and a great outdoor dining area. What more do you want. The hand cheese was also great, but quite small and only one. The price/performance ratio wasn't right. The rest of the food was great.

Food was good, as was service. Unfortunately the band's performance was disappointing for us, almost listless. That's why we left the restaurant after the first performance and didn't participate in any "financial support".

...was here for the first time before a home game for Eintracht, and it definitely wasn't the last time. The dishes with green sauce are highly recommended (in my case the Frankfurter Schnitzel)...the Äppler is also highly praised here. I found it simply great in this very old restaurant. A word about the waiters and waitresses; everyone (without exceptions) very friendly and really on their toes...I'll be back

Very nice seating in summer and winter, rustic atmosphere and good food with good pints. Slightly expensive, Frankfurt, so still full marks.

The food is very good and the service is very nice and attentive. However, I would not recommend the filled plate, e.g. with hand cheese on the slice of bread and then bring it to the guest. That's not so hygienic...you don't do that. Bread is a food that I don't put porcelain on. It's better to carry the plates separately, it's more appetizing. Otherwise everything was fine.

My wife and my sister had lunch there today on Sunday. Everything from the finest, the best asparagus, the best herring, the best green sauce, the best Frankfurt Kranz! Kudos also to the young pastry chef who makes such excellent cakes! Our congratulations on passing the intermediate exam.

Unfortunately, two meals were forgotten when we ordered and arrived later than the first meals. However, the food was very tasty and the selection was relatively large. I can recommend the Buchscheer.

Very nice Ebbelwoiwirtschaft just a few meters from Louisa train station (tram 17, 18 and Sbahn). Worth a visit after every visit to the city forest (only 5 minutes away). Very tasty house pint and other apple wines. Friendly and attentive staff. We recommend!

It's been a long time since we've been to this cider bar. Because of the good reviews, we were looking forward to a good meal. We ordered a Viennese style schnitzel and a baked sheep's cheese. There's not much to say about the sheep's cheese; it wasn't great, but it wasn't really bad either. Well, but the Wiener Schnitzel with a side salad and fried potatoes is in great need of improvement. The salad was OK. The fried potatoes were more like boiled potatoes and not seasoned in any way. About the schnitzel: If I were a stamp collector, I would have been happy about the extremely thin schnitzel, but that wasn't my intention. Absolutely tasteless; Unfortunately that wasn't okay.

We came here on a recommendation and were given a friendly welcome, then we had delicious food and great fresh cider! Actually, the rating should be withheld so that the originality is not lost... simply great!

A pleasant, cozy atmosphere, whether outside or inside. Super friendly and attentive employees, with open ears and eyes. You feel comfortable here and not just as a customer. Gladly again!

The exterior is very nice. The interior is very familiar and typical. The tables are somewhat crowded. 2-course menu, sausage and breaded chicken fillet, but with local accompaniments. Very friendly waiters. With covered outdoor patio.

We went there spontaneously in the evening to eat and drink. We received a very friendly welcome. There were two of us. We were seated at a table. Quite normal in Frankfurt. Had a Frankfurter Schnitzel. The fried potato is fresh and very large, just as you love it. Schnitzel was small! But 2 on top of each other: great. My wife had a hand cheese also very tasty. The cider is to die for. As we have seen, self-made. This is something special and worth a visit. Again and again. Oh right. For dessert we shared a dumpling with vanilla sauce. I didn't know it was also very tasty. Finally, it is worth mentioning that we had very nice service. Very attentive and friendly. Thank you for the spontaneously lovely evening. There were eight of us there because a friend of mine has “her second living room” there, so to speak. Everyone was more than satisfied with the food, even the vegetarians were able to choose between delicious dishes. My schnitzel with green sauce was great and, as I hate apple cider, I really liked the version with elderberry syrup. Very good: the map shows the old prices (7% VAT) next to the new ones at 19%, which ensures good transparency. Definitely again next time in Ffm.

I write this review only as a tourist for other tourists. Service: My German is poor and they were very kind about it. Gave me an English menu and never got frustrated with me. Sat me at a table with some people as they could tell I probably wasn't aware the tables were communal. The man at the bar told me how to eat my Handkasse like a local. Atmosphere: I'm no expert, but this place felt very authentic. Big with lots of seating, including outdoors. Cider coming out of a tap. Customers who came in greeted other diners at tables so it felt like a lot of locals. Location is amazing too if you are just coming out of Frankfurt city forest. Food: I had the handkase mit musik and the grüne Soße which are the Frankfurt specific dishes I was planning on trying. They were great, but I have nothing to compare them too. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. All in all, I'd highly recommend this place if you are looking to get out of the center.

An absolute must for every fan of good regional cuisine. Regardless of whether the restaurant or outdoor area is full, friendly, cheerful and courteous service staff are available at all times. I would advise against a spontaneous visit as you may not be able to get a spot. Whether it's starters, main courses/dishes from the daily menu or dessert - everything is delicious. Special requests, for example for children, are no problem at all. Also easy to reach by public transport.

The food was very tasty, unfortunately it was very loud. Conversation over food was hardly possible. Unfortunately, the staff had to be "ambushed" or intercepted to replenish drinks.

An diesem Tag hatte ich Geburtstag und ein Freund von mir wollte mich zum Buchscheer einladen... Wir hatten vorher reserviert , waren zu früh da ,aber der Biergarten war schon sehr voll und mussten dadurch etwas warten... Mit einem Applewoi starteten wir das Abendessen.. vom Essen her waren wir etwas enttäuscht da es gute Bewertungen hatte , dass man da gut essen kann... Dafür war der Service gut ... Auch wenn es schon sehr voll war und es viel zu tun gab

Typische frankfurter Apfelweinwirtschaft, mit guter ÖPNV-Anbindung. Traditionelle gutbürgerliche Speisekarte, ob Schnitzel, Handkäs oder eine Fleischwurst, hier findet eigentlich jeder etwas. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal mit schnellen Service..🙂. Als Gruppe oder am Wochenende, entfielt sich eine Platzreservierung. Denn die Traditionswirtschaft Buchscheer ist auch im Umkreis bekannt. Wir kommen gerne in diese Äpplerlocation..

Wir mögen die Buchscheer und kommen schon seit vielen Jahren hierher. Aber: Die Qualität des Essens hat sehr nachgelassen. Zu fette Bratkartoffeln, geschmackloses Sauerkraut, ungewürzter Kartoffelbrei, trockenes Fleisch - wir waren zu viert und keinem hat das Essen geschmeckt. Dabei sind es alles einfache Hausmannskost-Speisen, deren Zubereitung keine besondere Raffinesse erfordert. Nicht nur das Essen, sondern auch der Service war lieblos. Schade...!

Sehr sehr nette Bedienung und toller Garten. Das essen in Ordnung, neulich etwas teuerer geworden. Nicht für die Portionen extra zu besuchen, sondern für die Entspannung.

Altes Frankfurter Traditionslokal, schon meine Oma hat es besucht. Ich war schon öfter dort. Mein Lieblingsessen ist Grüne Soße mit Eiern. Leider waren die Salzkartoffeln nur halb gar, der Kellner hat's zur Kenntnis genommen. Schade. Nach meinem 1. Post habe ich Mail-Rückmeldung von Buchscheer bekommen, es wurde Besserung gelobt. Das werde ich überprüfen. Danke.

Eine Institution unter den Frankfurter Apfelweinlokalen. Hier wird noch selbst gekeltert und inzwischen - für Auswärtige oder solche, die mal was Exotisches mögen - sogar gebraut. Tolles, bodenständiges Essen, tolle Getränke und alles regional. Dazu guter Service und das passende Ambiente draußen wie drinnen.

Frankfurts beste Ebbelwoi-Wirtschaft - ein Besuch lohnt sich 🍎🍏

Ein Restaurant, bei dem wir immer, wenn wir mal dort sind, sagen, wir sollten öfter dorthin gehen. Es gibt sie noch: die traditionellen, familiengeführten Apfelweinwirtschaften, bei denen die Liebe zum Tun der Gastwirte spürbar ist!

Man sitzt da schön und auch die Bedienung war nett. Das Essen eine Katastrophe. Meine Partnerin hatte ein Schnitzel, das schmeckte nur nach Fett. Der Salat war voller Sand. Es ist mir ein Rätsel, wie man so einfache Speisen so schlecht zubereiten kann.

Katastrophales Hacksteak. 3 Pfifferlinge, säuerliche Sahnesoße, Rohe Bratkartoffeln. Für knapp 20,00. kann man leider nicht mehr weiterempfehlen.

Man sollte hier wirklich nur Äppler trinken!!! Ich kam wegen des Handkäs dorthin..! Einfach nur schlecht, in jeder Richtung!! Nie wieder!

We were directed (and in fact driven!) here by our Airbnb host as we had arrived late in the rain and wanted some local food. She advised that we would get some good food and great home made cider - and she was right! Unfortunately the main bar area was full so we had to sit in a tented outdoor area which after our previous drenching was not the most comfortable, but that was just how it was as they were busy! We ordered a local cheese specialty and bratwurst respectively, an both dishes were really tasty. Also we had some of the aforementioned local cider, and that was terrific! As we were outside service was a little slow, but we enjoyed our meal and it was good value.
