Current rating: Unfortunately I have to revise the older review, I was there about a week ago and ordered a seafood salad: sad, carelessly prepared, mainly surimi (I don't like it at all, cheap stuff pasted together), a few chopped squid tubes (cheap in the retail store), max. three baby octopus arms, 3-4 mussels, no shrimp. 0.0 acidity, no salt, not even a hint of garlic, very weak Had to ask for bread. Whether Portugal, Spain, France or somewhere else, a seafood salad has to have bread. Reposition yourself again. I was really excited about you at first (see review below from two years ago). Thanks! Review two years ago: I'm happy to have discovered this restaurant, it's practically around the corner from me. It's been there eight months and was there for the first time today. Nice staff, attentive and hardworking. Fresh, clean, appetizing. You can sit comfortably inside and outside and almost feel like you're by a body of water. Interior fits. I will go there more often as a fish freak. A little tip to the boys: I found a few bones in the fillets, so just be a little more careful. Maybe leave the salmon on the grill a little less or everything will be perfect. See you soon 👋 🤟

I recently visited for the first time with a friend. First of all, it was a shame that the fish soup was already out at 5 p.m. and the waiter was super nice and friendly, but made mistakes with the drinks, which happened. But the food was great. I'm happy that there's Turkish rice and delicious fresh vegetables to choose from here, because I honestly don't understand what all the fish restaurants here have with these fried fried potatoes. Sea bream, prawns, salmon steak,... everything fried to perfection. The sauces are also very tasty. And the price is fair, I'll be happy to come back!

Unfortunately it was nothing. Price performance wasn't right. And organization totally chaotic.

We were there on July 17th. eat in the evening. Fish soup, grilled sole and seafood pasta. The fish soup was a disappointment. Extremely hot, little content and not remotely comparable to a French or North German fish soup. BUT the main courses were outstanding. The grilled fish was cooked to perfection and yet had deliciously crispy skin. The pasta was also cooked to perfection, German, not Italian - thanks for that - and absorbed the tomato sauce well. The seafood, squid, shrimps and a lot more, had a great smoky aroma, were very plentiful and not at all tough. The restaurant is more or less a snack bar with additional tables on the sidewalk, so the ambience is deducted. Overall, highly recommended in summer. ...if the fish soup is adjusted...

Everything is not so good Unfortunately, the service wasn't exactly good, just listless, as if they didn't feel like it and when I ordered baguette with salmon, first of all, it was much too liquid and so of course very difficult to eat. Bread fell apart and I could hardly eat properly because of the wetness of the bread alone was wet and secondly it took a bit of a long time considering it was just a baguette with salmon and thirdly there were bones in it which isn't exactly nice to eat

Visited for lunch. I ordered a plate of salmon, sea bass, and sardine frites. The sea bass was fluffy and nicely grilled. The salmon was also grilled very nicely. The sardines were fried crispy and crispy. Everything was so delicious! My husband ordered a plate of sea bream, shrimp, and calamari. Of course, all of them were very deliciously cooked. The vegetables and potatoes that came with it were both very delicious. The fries weren't oily, and the grilled fish was fluffy and delicious. The service at the store was very good and everyone was so friendly that I would come back again♪♪♪ If you're in Frankfurt's Bergerstrasse and can't decide where to eat, we highly recommend this restaurant.

Three years later, still my favourite fish restaurant, food is delicious, service is very personal and extremely friendly. Highly recommended

Five people dying of hunger and in the middle of the BergerstrasseFest. There were few seats left in most restaurants. Here we found a table outside and decided to try this place. We all like fish. Due to the neighborhood party there was a lot people and bustle. They attended to us immediately. The waiter advised us about the fish. We ordered a large bottle of water and non-alcoholic beers. Unfortunately they only had non-alcoholic Coronita, none other. We didn't find the beer that tasty. To snack we ordered squid and anchovies. Before the food arrives, they bring you each a salad. The calamari was very good. Although, as Spaniards, we miss a good aioli. The anchovies were very crispy and not at all greasy. Then we each ordered a dish, salmon with rice. The rice was a bit dry. Dorada with vegetables, which was very good. Monkfish and turbot with potatoes, also very delicious. Everything was fresh and the service was very fast. For people in wheelchairs they could only be outside, even so, it is narrow to move around easily. We will be back!

A very nice fish restaurant on the Berger. I was extremely lucky to get a table outside in great weather. The anchovies as a starter were very good quality. The preparation also deserves a very good rating. For the main course I had a tuna steak. The quality is also very high. It was grilled to perfection (which isn't easy with the Tuna). The operator of the restaurant and his team were very friendly and attentive. You can see their joy. Always very happy.

My wife and I have eaten here several times. But unfortunately a lot has changed here since our last visit, and not necessarily for the better. Of course I can understand that the prices have increased. But you can clearly feel that the so-called skills shortage is also clearly noticeable here. The menu was brought to us quite quickly and the drinks also arrived in a reasonable time. Our order for the food was taken but then it took a full 25 minutes until I received my food in the form of a starter salad. The salad itself was great and tasted good, the dressing left a lot to be desired and at the bottom of the bowl there was a large pool of indefinable broth and it was definitely not a dressing, more like water. Then we had to wait another 20 minutes and I got my main course (No. 9 on the menu). The spicy dip I had assigned (it's not really spicy) was not served with the food but was only added when you asked several times have. The food for my wife came 5 minutes later and here too the dip was missing and only came when asked. Portion appropriately small as is usual these days. If you ask for pepper and salt you will be looked at askance and you have the impression that you are ordering something unusual. The invoice in paper form is only available upon request. I find it outrageous that you are simply told the total amount from the tablet without being able to understand what you have to pay individually. In my case, I like to see what the bill is made up of. Overall, unfortunately I can no longer recommend the restaurant.

Price: 6 people and paid €180 with tip. 6 main courses, 2 salads, 2x starters with calamari and shrimps and bread. It's absolutely a fair price for what you get. Service: It was a bit chaotic and organized but they clearly made an effort and were very friendly. Eat: So the food is far better than I expected. I was really surprised that I hadn't heard of the store before. Calamari’s, definitely the best I’ve had in Frankfurt so far. We also had the sea bream, zander fillet and sole each with fries. As a starter, we ordered 2x prawns with calamari and the starter again at the end because it was so good. There is also a remoulade sauce and a hot sauce that is not really hot, but tastes very good. At the end there was a homemade cake made of hazelnuts, chocolate, pistachios and coconut. Is also highly recommended. Ambience: The shop looks nice from the inside. It's not a fast food restaurant or a snack bar, but really a medium-sized restaurant that probably gets a lot of walk-in customers. Conclusion: Highly recommended and I definitely want to go again.

We entered the restaurant half an hour before closing time on Saturday and were still warmly welcomed. The food was excellent, we have rarely eaten a better fish platter in Frankfurt. The staff and the boss were extremely friendly, absolute recommendation! We will definitely come back.

At first impression you thought wow, you almost feel like you're at the sea here. For a grill plate for €45. We waited almost 45 minutes for two people in a very busy restaurant. We had ordered fish soup and were first told it was out, then suddenly there was fish soup. Cold two. Somewhat thin broth with very overcooked remains of various types of fish at the bottom of the plate. We ordered rice and fries with the grill plate. The rice and fries definitely came from the microwave. For €64.60 we didn't even come close to being full despite not being very hungry. The good mood from the beautiful Saturday lunchtime was ruined by the bad service, hectic running back and forth and loud staff. Never again and definitely not recommended. Furniture could use some cleaning!

Today we had the pleasure of visiting the small fish restaurant in the middle of Berger Straße and our experience was absolutely positive. From the start we felt very comfortable in the family atmosphere. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The grilled fish was deliciously prepared and exceeded our expectations. The side dishes, especially the salad and vegetables, were fresh and tasty and completed the dish perfectly. What particularly impressed us was the unbeatable price-performance ratio. Given the quality of the food and service, the price was more than fair. We'll definitely be back 🤗!

Was dieses Restaurant besonders auszeichnet, ist die familiäre Atmosphäre. Man fühlt sich direkt in den Süden versetzt – eine herzliche Nähe zum Kunden, die nicht nur durch die exzellente Bedienung, sondern auch durch das authentische Ambiente geschaffen wird. Insgesamt kann ich dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen. Ein Ort, an dem die Fischliebhaber auf ihre Kosten kommen und sich gleichzeitig wie in den sonnigen Gefilden des Südens fühlen können.

Clear recommendation, great! We became aware of it ourselves through the reviews here - luckily. All fish and seafood are fresh, so you can see the quality as well as the fresh preparation behind it. Only fish is served, but in a very large selection. Various starters, fish soup, fish pasta dishes but mainly you can choose between whole fish or fillet, plus a choice of side dishes and a really large salad. Incredibly fresh quality that is reflected in the great taste, all well seasoned with our own spice mix. The owner or he and his family members are there themselves, and we find that when you personally vouch for it, you can tell that more attention is still being paid to quality. Service was extremely friendly and accommodating, with good advice. It's not a fancy restaurant, but the prices are more than fair! Although we come from further away, we will happily come back when we are in FFM and recommend it. We wish you all the best, keep it up :)

I don't normally write reviews, but when I love a restaurant I just have to. I just had dinner there with my parents and the food was simply amazing. The fish was so tasty and the crusty bread with it was extremely tasty, the salad and the vegetables, everything. Everything just tasted good, you could enjoy the food so much. The staff is also super nice and the service is also great. Clean restaurant. What more could a guest want! Everything was perfect! Thank you again!!! :)

Das Essen war fantastisch. Ich kann auf jeden Fall die Gemüsebeilage empfehlen- Sellerie, Stangensellerie , Karotten etc. Alles frisch und bissfest. Der Fisch auf den Punkt gegrillt. Dank der offenen Küche kann man zuschauen, wie der Fisch zubereitet wird. Der Kellner super nett und aufmerksam!!! Preis- Leistungsverhältnis top. Toiletten neu und sauber. Wir sehen uns auf jeden Fall wieder.

Ganz tolle Fischgerichte. Alles lecker und frisch zubereitet. Auch wenn das Baguette eher eine Pita ist war die Salatbeigabe zum Backfisch saulecker das Ambiente könnte natürlich etwas größer sein was aber auf der Berger Straße immer recht teuer und schwierig ist. Die Preise sind völlig okay und ich freue mich im Sommer wiederzukommen wenn man auch draußen sitzen kann und dabei die Menschen gucken.

Die Gerichte waren sehr lecker, frischer Fisch und sehr viel Auswahl! Perfekt zubereitet. Wir hatten Vorspeise und Hauptgang: Oktopus, Garnelen, Meeresfrüchtesalat und Thunfisch. Freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Das Restaurant war etwas kleiner aber der Geschmack macht es wett.

Sehr schlechter Service. Wir waren zu 8. hier gewesen. Ich habe den Kellner gefragt ob „er bitte noch den Tisch sauber machen kann“. Da meinte er „ja das mache ich doch gleich“. Ich sagte, „Sie haben schon die Speisekarten auf den Tisch gelegt, deshalb die bitte“. Von ihm kam die Antwort „Die Karten haben nichts mit euch zu tun“. Er ging und kam mit einem Lappen wieder. Der Kellner sagte: „Wieso können Sie nicht warten?“ Ich antwortete: „Ich habe sie doch nur darum gebeten den Tisch sauber zu machen, da Sie die Karten schon auf den Tisch gelegt hatten. Was ist denn daran schlimm?“ Der Kellner antwortete mir tatsächlich wie folgt: „Wieso bist du so frech“ Ich sagte ihm, was er sich denkt einen Kunden frech zu nennen, dass wir unter solchen Umständen dort nicht essen werden. Er sagte nur, „mir egal, gehen Sie“. Wir sind dann natürlich aufgestanden. Meine Schwester ist dann noch einmal zu ihm und hat ihm gesagt, dass sowas gar nicht geht, dass man einen Kunden nicht als „frech“ betiteln kann. Vor allem, hatte ich nur eine Bitte, den Tisch sauber zu machen. Dies sollte ja selbstverständlich sein. Wir gehen hier nie wieder hin!! Kundenfreundlichkeit gleich 0!

Per Wolt bestellt. Vollkommen verbrannt, in Öl schwimmmend und geschmacklich wenig Fisch, doch dafür viel altes Bratenfett. Ging direkt in den Müll. Nicht mal die Katze wollte den Fraß essen. Salat und vertrocknete Bratkartoffeln ebenfalls ein schlechter Witz. Auf eine Beschwerde wird schlicht nicht reagiert. Und tschüss.

Sehr netter Service! Wer guten Fisch vom Grill aller Art zu absolut fairen Preisen möchte, kommt um das Meeresrausch nicht drumherum. Unbedingt die Baba Torte als Nachtisch probieren ☝🏻

Das Essen ist lecker, der Service ist sehr freundlich. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir sind Stammgäste, kommen ca. 1-2 mal pro Monat zum Essen und das schon von Beginn an. Die machen nur Fisch. 🐟 Das ist gut so denn das können sie. Der gegrillte Fisch dort ist immer frisch und schmeckt vorzüglich. Gleiches gilt für den Beilagensalat und dem Brot. Ehrliche Gerichte, in einfachem Ambiente, richtig gut gemacht und ganz ohne Schick Schnack. 👍 Der Besitzer ist immer meega freundlich und hat den Laden gut im Griff. Gleiches gilt für den Service. Zu späterer Stunde ist gelegentlich mal was ausverkauft aber damit kann man leben. Die Preise sind gemessen an der Qualität mehr als fair. Wir sind totaal happy das es das Meeresrausch gibt und lassen uns auch künftig gerne wieder berauschen. Weiter so.

В цілому їжа сподобалась, дуже смачні гарніри рис та смажена картопля. Є невелички нюанси: забагато спецій в морепродуктах; заправка до салату занадто кисла (що притаманно для Німеччиніи. Брали креветки, кальмари та оссьминоги. Чек за 2 основних блюда та 2 напої 40 євро. Сподобалось, що навіть в листопаді є критий майданчик на вулиці. Наступного разу попрошу поменше використовувати спецій та заправки :)

Super frischer Fisch und lecker zubereitet. Plätze im Freien u drinnen je nach Gusto. . Offenbar haben sie einen Grill der die Feuchtigkeit im Fisch lässt. Sehr geschmackvoll zubereitet. Gehe hier 1-2 mal die Woche hin.

Fisch wie im Urlaub. Als Frankfurter ist Fisch und Meeresfrüchte nicht gerade etwas, was direkt vor der Haustüre gefangen wird. Deswegen ist Frische und das Wissen darum, wie diese Produkte aufbereitet werden ein wichtiges Entscheidungskriterium. Im Restaurant Meeresrauschen haben wir einen Besitzer kennen gelernt, der mit viel Interesse und Ehrgeiz das Nahrungsmittel Fisch zum Mittelpunkt seiner Arbeit gemacht hat. Er und sein Team erzeugen Fisch- und Meeresfrüchte Speisen wie wir sie aus unseren Urlaub a den Küsten von Südeuropa und Nordafrika kennen. Die Gewürze passen, der Fisch schmeckt ausgewogen gewürzt. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Fischplatten mit einer Auswahl an verschiedenen Fisch- und Zubereitungsarten. Bornheim der Stadtteil ist ein letzter Treffpunkt echter Frankfurter Lebenskultur ohne totaler Gentrifizierung gleich Sachsenhausen. So soll es auch bleiben. Deshalb: Restaurant Tip vom Frankfurter für Hessen ;-)

Wow make sure you do not eat for 24hrs before you arrive. OMG what a find. Great staff great food but there is a Lot of food. If you love fish and in Frankfurt this is the place to eat.
