Meeresrausch in Frankfurt am Main

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. I ordered a certain type of fish but got something completely different, probably hoping no one would notice. Something like this is unacceptable and simply fraudulent! In addition, the food was extremely oily and had little to do with fresh, good fish cuisine. Anyone who eats here should take a very close look to see whether they really get what they ordered. For me it was the first and last time.

The food was ok, but there was no suitable sauce left that evening. The service is underground. We were completely ignored. I had to wave at the waiters several times to even get a menu. When we had a request during the meal, even waving didn't help. Various waiters had seen us and noticed our waving, but they still simply ignored us. You then really have to get up, walk to the waiter, tap him and talk to him if you need something. I have never felt so unwelcome. Never again.

The best shop when it comes to fish and the like. I love the baguettes with salmon or calamari, just really good! I can recommend it 100%...

Insider definitely... We (two adults) had fish. What should definitely be emphasized is that it is always fresh and the fish tastes like fish, even despite the spices. You get sauces and bread per table, which is also one of our highlights here. The room is a bit small, but there is no smell of fish or burnt fat! The fish is prepared on the grill in front of us. Always happy to come here...

The food is very tasty and filling for the price. I had a sea bream, a salmon and a few prawns with rice, a small salad and extra vegetables. I was allowed to put together my own dish. With a drink I was under €30. The service is good and the food is highly recommended. Hence the good rating.

I was in the Meeresrausch restaurant with two other people and we had a very pleasant visit. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, which made the evening very enjoyable. The service was particularly positive - the employees were courteous and responded lovingly to our requests. We had the fish plate with three different types of fish to eat three times. There was also a salad each, and we also ordered extra vegetables, sardines, shrimp and calamari. Everything was incredibly delicious! The portions were just right - neither too little nor too much, and the quality of the food was excellent. At 33 euros per person (99 euros in total for 3 people), the price-performance ratio was absolutely justified. All in all, I can only recommend Meeresrausch. We felt completely at home and will definitely come back!

Each dish comes with a starter salad, toasted grilled bread upon request and truly perfected dips. We visit the restaurant regularly and no matter who prepares the dishes that day, you always get a 10/10. So if you want to eat happily, a visit to Meeresrausch is highly recommended!

It was said if you see a restaurant full of grannies you know it’s good. This place is one of those! Amazing grilled squid shrimp octopus and more. They know what they are doing!

Flavor explosion! One of the best shops in Frankfurt. I've eaten here several times and every time it's tasted fantastic. Whether grilled tuna, salmon, sea bream or trout – everything was excellent. The side dishes (I previously had vegetables and fried potatoes) are also great. The food tastes fresh and you feel completely good after eating. The price-performance ratio is also great – please keep it that way!

My absolute favorite restaurant! Super delicious food, attentive and very friendly service, I love the ambience, I feel like I'm on vacation here. So nice that you exist! And the fried rice and grilled vegetables were absolutely delicious. And the grilled sea bass was very tender with a wonderful grilled aroma on the skin, mmmmhhh... Keep it up!

Very tasty food! If you like fresh fish, you should eat here. :) I had the monkfish, lobster and the cuttlefish. Everyone can choose the side dishes they want. I decided on the vegetables. But there are still fried potatoes or rice. Before that there is a small side salad. The food was really excellent seasoning! Only recommended.

What can I say? I am speechless in a positive sense. I visit Frankfurt regularly and every time in the last few years I thought to myself as I walked past that I had to go out to eat. Today was the first day that I was able to try the delicious food and I am very, very excited. You can't get more fresh than that. The food is completely harmonious. Don't know what could have been done better. Had the grilled tuna number 40 sepia, tuna and prawns with fried potatoes. Super super delicious. I will now only come to you in the next few weeks. I also have to give a very big compliment to the seller/waiter, a young, slim, personable man with the friendliest charisma. He is a great host. Compliment. I wish Berlin had a fish restaurant like this, but so far I've searched in vain in Berlin. Great alternative to take away too. Please keep it up.

Das kleine aber feine Restaurant Meeresrausch ist zentral in der Berger Straße gelegen und mit öffentlichen Nahverkehrsmitteln gut zu erreichen. Die Begrüßung ist freundlich, wir werden gleich zur Kühltheke geführt, in der die Fische und Schalentiere frisch gehalten werden. Die Speisekarte ist sehr übersichtlich aufgebaut. Zu den Hauptgerichten gibt es drei verschiedene Beilagen nach Wahl und einen frischen Salat, der im Preis des Hauptgerichtes enthalten ist. Wir entscheiden uns für gegrilltes Fischfilet von der Dorade und gegrillten Pulpo. Der aufmerksame Kellner bringt zuerst die Getränke und dann den frisch angemachten Salat. Unsere Fischgerichte sind ganz ausgezeichnet. Die Bratkartoffeln sind auch frisch gemacht, aber längst nicht so fett, wie in deutschen Lokalen. Wir sind sehr, sehr zufrieden, was Service und Qualität der Speisen angeht. Auch das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis war mehr als "stimmig". In Deutschland haben wir noch nie so guten Fisch gegessen. Das „Meeresrausch“ ist wohl auch ein Familienbetrieb, denn das Restaurant ist täglich geöffnet. Auf jeden Fall kommen wir sehr gerne wieder. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend.

Current rating: Unfortunately I have to revise the older review, I was there about a week ago and ordered a seafood salad: sad, carelessly prepared, mainly surimi (I don't like it at all, cheap stuff pasted together), a few chopped squid tubes (cheap in the retail store), max. three baby octopus arms, 3-4 mussels, no shrimp. 0.0 acidity, no salt, not even a hint of garlic, very weak Had to ask for bread. Whether Portugal, Spain, France or somewhere else, a seafood salad has to have bread. Reposition yourself again. I was really excited about you at first (see review below from two years ago). Thanks! Review two years ago: I'm happy to have discovered this restaurant, it's practically around the corner from me. It's been there eight months and was there for the first time today. Nice staff, attentive and hardworking. Fresh, clean, appetizing. You can sit comfortably inside and outside and almost feel like you're by a body of water. Interior fits. I will go there more often as a fish freak. A little tip to the boys: I found a few bones in the fillets, so just be a little more careful. I recently visited for the first time with a friend. First of all, it was a shame that the fish soup was already out at 5 p.m. and the waiter was super nice and friendly, but made mistakes with the drinks, which happened. But the food was great. I'm happy that there's Turkish rice and delicious fresh vegetables to choose from here, because I honestly don't understand what all the fish restaurants here have with these fried fried potatoes. Sea bream, prawns, salmon steak,... everything fried to perfection. The sauces are also very tasty. And the price is fair, I'll be happy to come back!

We were there on July 17th. eat in the evening. Fish soup, grilled sole and seafood pasta. The fish soup was a disappointment. Extremely hot, little content and not remotely comparable to a French or North German fish soup. BUT the main courses were outstanding. The grilled fish was cooked to perfection and yet had deliciously crispy skin. The pasta was also cooked to perfection, German, not Italian - thanks for that - and absorbed the tomato sauce well. The seafood, squid, shrimps and a lot more, had a great smoky aroma, were very plentiful and not at all tough. The restaurant is more or less a snack bar with additional tables on the sidewalk, so the ambience is deducted. Overall, highly recommended in summer. ...if the fish soup is adjusted...

Unfortunately it was nothing. Price performance wasn't right. And organization totally chaotic.

Everything is not so good Unfortunately, the service wasn't exactly good, just listless, as if they didn't feel like it and when I ordered baguette with salmon, first of all, it was much too liquid and so of course very difficult to eat. Bread fell apart and I could hardly eat properly because of the wetness of the bread alone was wet and secondly it took a bit of a long time considering it was just a baguette with salmon and thirdly there were bones in it which isn't exactly nice to eat

Visited for lunch. I ordered a plate of salmon, sea bass, and sardine frites. The sea bass was fluffy and nicely grilled. The salmon was also grilled very nicely. The sardines were fried crispy and crispy. Everything was so delicious! My husband ordered a plate of sea bream, shrimp, and calamari. Of course, all of them were very deliciously cooked. The vegetables and potatoes that came with it were both very delicious. The fries weren't oily, and the grilled fish was fluffy and delicious. The service at the store was very good and everyone was so friendly that I would come back again♪♪♪ If you're in Frankfurt's Bergerstrasse and can't decide where to eat, we highly recommend this restaurant.

Five people dying of hunger and in the middle of the BergerstrasseFest. There were few seats left in most restaurants. Here we found a table outside and decided to try this place. We all like fish. Due to the neighborhood party there was a lot people and bustle. They attended to us immediately. The waiter advised us about the fish. We ordered a large bottle of water and non-alcoholic beers. Unfortunately they only had non-alcoholic Coronita, none other. We didn't find the beer that tasty. To snack we ordered squid and anchovies. Before the food arrives, they bring you each a salad. The calamari was very good. Although, as Spaniards, we miss a good aioli. The anchovies were very crispy and not at all greasy. Then we each ordered a dish, salmon with rice. The rice was a bit dry. Dorada with vegetables, which was very good. Monkfish and turbot with potatoes, also very delicious. Everything was fresh and the service was very fast. For people in wheelchairs they could only be outside, even so, it is narrow to move around easily. We will be back!

A very nice fish restaurant on the Berger. I was extremely lucky to get a table outside in great weather. The anchovies as a starter were very good quality. The preparation also deserves a very good rating. For the main course I had a tuna steak. The quality is also very high. It was grilled to perfection (which isn't easy with the Tuna). The operator of the restaurant and his team were very friendly and attentive. You can see their joy. Always very happy.

My wife and I have eaten here several times. But unfortunately a lot has changed here since our last visit, and not necessarily for the better. Of course I can understand that the prices have increased. But you can clearly feel that the so-called skills shortage is also clearly noticeable here. The menu was brought to us quite quickly and the drinks also arrived in a reasonable time. Our order for the food was taken but then it took a full 25 minutes until I received my food in the form of a starter salad. The salad itself was great and tasted good, the dressing left a lot to be desired and at the bottom of the bowl there was a large pool of indefinable broth and it was definitely not a dressing, more like water. Then we had to wait another 20 minutes and I got my main course (No. 9 on the menu). The spicy dip I had assigned (it's not really spicy) was not served with the food but was only added when you asked several times have. The food for my wife came 5 minutes later and here too the dip was missing and only came when asked. Portion appropriately small as is usual these days. If you ask for pepper and salt you will be looked at askance and you have the impression that you are ordering something unusual. The invoice in paper form is only available upon request. I find it outrageous that you are simply told the total amount from the tablet without being able to understand what you have to pay individually. In my case, I like to see what the bill is made up of. Overall, unfortunately I can no longer recommend the restaurant.

Price: 6 people and paid €180 with tip. 6 main courses, 2 salads, 2x starters with calamari and shrimps and bread. It's absolutely a fair price for what you get. Service: It was a bit chaotic and organized but they clearly made an effort and were very friendly. Eat: So the food is far better than I expected. I was really surprised that I hadn't heard of the store before. Calamari’s, definitely the best I’ve had in Frankfurt so far. We also had the sea bream, zander fillet and sole each with fries. As a starter, we ordered 2x prawns with calamari and the starter again at the end because it was so good. There is also a remoulade sauce and a hot sauce that is not really hot, but tastes very good. At the end there was a homemade cake made of hazelnuts, chocolate, pistachios and coconut. Is also highly recommended. Ambience: The shop looks nice from the inside. It's not a fast food restaurant or a snack bar, but really a medium-sized restaurant that probably gets a lot of walk-in customers. Conclusion: Highly recommended and I definitely want to go again.

Price performance normal for Berge Straße. Also good selection of alcoholic drinks to accompany the fish. Very pleasant music to eat with and coordinated decorative dishes, so the ambience is right.

We entered the restaurant half an hour before closing time on Saturday and were still warmly welcomed. The food was excellent, we have rarely eaten a better fish platter in Frankfurt. The staff and the boss were extremely friendly, absolute recommendation! We will definitely come back.

At first impression you thought wow, you almost feel like you're at the sea here. For a grill plate for €45. We waited almost 45 minutes for two people in a very busy restaurant. We had ordered fish soup and were first told it was out, then suddenly there was fish soup. Cold two. Somewhat thin broth with very overcooked remains of various types of fish at the bottom of the plate. We ordered rice and fries with the grill plate. The rice and fries definitely came from the microwave. For €64.60 we didn't even come close to being full despite not being very hungry. The good mood from the beautiful Saturday lunchtime was ruined by the bad service, hectic running back and forth and loud staff. Never again and definitely not recommended. Furniture could use some cleaning!

A nice little shop with perfectly grilled fish and seafood. The staff is extremely friendly, we were initially undecided about whether we wanted to go in and were approached by an employee on the street. The food was delicious and the homemade tartar sauce was perfect with it. We'll be back, please keep it up. You can't miss the bread beforehand.

Man fühlt sich direkt in den Süden versetzt – eine herzliche Nähe zum Kunden, die nicht nur durch die exzellente Bedienung, sondern auch durch das authentische Ambiente geschaffen wird. Insgesamt kann ich dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen. Ein Ort, an dem die Fischliebhaber auf ihre Kosten kommen und sich gleichzeitig wie in den sonnigen Gefilden des Südens fühlen können.

Today we had the pleasure of visiting the small fish restaurant in the middle of Berger Straße and our experience was absolutely positive. From the start we felt very comfortable in the family atmosphere. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The grilled fish was deliciously prepared and exceeded our expectations. The side dishes, especially the salad and vegetables, were fresh and tasty and completed the dish perfectly. What particularly impressed us was the unbeatable price-performance ratio. Given the quality of the food and service, the price was more than fair. We'll definitely be back 🤗!

Clear recommendation, great! We became aware of it ourselves through the reviews here - luckily. All fish and seafood are fresh, so you can see the quality as well as the fresh preparation behind it. Only fish is served, but in a very large selection. Various starters, fish soup, fish pasta dishes but mainly you can choose between whole fish or fillet, plus a choice of side dishes and a really large salad. Incredibly fresh quality that is reflected in the great taste, all well seasoned with our own spice mix. The owner or he and his family members are there themselves, and we find that when you personally vouch for it, you can tell that more attention is still being paid to quality. Service was extremely friendly and accommodating, with good advice. It's not a fancy restaurant, but the prices are more than fair! Although we come from further away, we will happily come back when we are in FFM and recommend it. We wish you all the best, keep it up :)

I don't normally write reviews, but when I love a restaurant I just have to. I just had dinner there with my parents and the food was simply amazing. The fish was so tasty and the crusty bread with it was extremely tasty, the salad and the vegetables, everything. Everything just tasted good, you could enjoy the food so much. The staff is also super nice and the service is also great. Clean restaurant. What more could a guest want! Everything was perfect! Thank you again!!! :)

Dank der offenen Küche kann man zuschauen, wie der Fisch zubereitet wird. Der Kellner super nett und aufmerksam!!! Preis- Leistungsverhältnis top. Toiletten neu und sauber. Wir sehen uns auf jeden Fall wieder.

6 Sterne wenn ich könnte. Ich bin überzeugter Stammkunde und kenne bereits paar Menünummern auswendig. Jeder Frankfurter oder willkommener Gast in Frankfurt sollte hierhin.

Ganz tolle Fischgerichte. Alles lecker und frisch zubereitet. Auch wenn das Baguette eher eine Pita ist war die Salatbeigabe zum Backfisch saulecker das Ambiente könnte natürlich etwas größer sein was aber auf der Berger Straße immer recht teuer und schwierig ist. Die Preise sind völlig okay und ich freue mich im Sommer wiederzukommen wenn man auch draußen sitzen kann und dabei die Menschen gucken.
