Back here after a long time. The food was great, but unfortunately the service wasn't great. In the sense that several things were misunderstood. Otherwise, they were very nice and friendly :) but we'll definitely be back.

Be careful when the bill comes, you might be charged twice for the same dishes or there might be dishes on the bill that you didn't even order. So be careful.

Highly recommended. When I played there as a child, there was nothing there. A great memory of the neighborhood.

I only downgraded it because the service was unfortunately disappointing. The restaurant itself is very cozy. Such an Italian vibe in Leipzig. We waited for a very long time and it was unpleasant. The food was amazing! Just 10+. We took different pastas and pizza. All the dishes were very large and tasty. I recommend visiting, but be prepared that it may take a long time.

We ate here today with the kids after visiting the zoo. The staff was incredibly friendly, and all of our special requests were accommodated. Everyone enjoyed the food, and we can begin our long journey home feeling satisfied. They even made us a coffee to go for the journey home and were super flexible. PS: Thank you so much for the large coffee :)

We ventured into this very centrally located restaurant for the second time. The food is solid, as is the ambiance. A daily specials menu rounds out the offerings, served on a terrace in front of the restaurant entrance, with occasionally excellent service. Italian flair wasn't particularly evident this time either, although the food sometimes is, and the price/performance ratio is acceptable. But the name says it all...Piccola Italia

Been here twice and it is a must fornour family as the food, the service and atmosphere are amazing. On top of that, they really made our pup feel just as welcome as us by bringing him fresh water and making sure he had a nice cool shady spot to rest while we ate. Looking forward to stop by there again next time we are in Leipzig!

Piccola Italia is piccolo, the food is prompt and just like in Bella Italia, and the service is firmly Albanian. Absolutely delicious.

Our favorite Pizza outside if Italy. The food is fantastic (our kids usually pick off toppings or leave the crust at other places, but almost bite into plate at this venue). We love the warmth and welcoming feeling they offer when we are there. Looking forward to our next visit

The lasagne was filled with too much cheese, and the cheese was of very poor quality. It tasted like bubble gum. Simply wasted money.

A very cute, small cellar restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere, a bit rustic, definitely Italian. The map is not oversized, but it is well laid out so that everyone is sure to find something. We had four different dishes and 3 different desserts and at the end we could say with a clear conscience that everything was delicious. You can still work on the service. The young men were quite friendly, but far removed from Italian charm and warmth, and their appearance (track jacket) didn't match the look of the restaurant. Overall, however, recommended.

Got a brilliant Italian meal in the evening on a short city trip. The antipasto misto starter was a huge portion, easily enough for two people and the pizza was incredibly tasty. The floor is simply awesome!

A very good Italian restaurant. My recommendation is the black spaghetti with tomatoes and shrimp. You should definitely reserve in advance.

Despite repeated indications that our beef fillet pizza only contained pork, the owner wanted us to believe that it was beef. This was refuted by a friendly waitress. It was pork. The boss had the bill brought and threw us out. Never again and absolutely no recommendation!!!!!

We were there yesterday… definitely the last time. The food was overcooked and not tasty, for example Risotto with beef fillet tips, the tips were missing, etc. The cleanliness in the toilets left a lot to be desired (the trash can is totally filthy) Conclusion: the restaurant is not recommended.

I would easily give even more stars if I could. Great food, great ambience, great hosts! Warmth is very important! We'd love to come back any time!

There is a lot of potential for improvement here. The pasta was hard, the broccoli was soft - unfortunately there were few traces of Gorgonzola. But there was a long wait even though we were the only guests. The only thing that was intense was the smell of the service staff's cigarettes.

You are in the best hands here! We ordered 1x Vitello Tonato and 1x Pizza Caprese, with the note that we would share each portion. Of course we do it!! See photo how to do it. I have rarely had such good and courteous service and it tasted very good too.

We were just passing through after visiting the zoo, we were very hungry. I googled what was rated well nearby. We walked for about 15 minutes and were excited to see what awaited us. When we arrived we initially wanted to sit outside but decided to eat inside because more rain made it seem safer for us. We were there around 7:30 p.m. - there were already very few free tables. But we were lucky to get another one The service was very friendly and tried hard to make it work. The restaurant can be reached by going down a few steps as it is located in a basement. The atmosphere is very well maintained and you immediately feel at home. Even though it was very crowded. We only had to wait about 20 minutes until we received our pizzas. We were surprised at the size, they were really huge! from the stone oven and very tasty and well topped. We didn't manage to plaster them completely. We paid 60 euros including drinks for 2 people and 1 child, not a little but definitely justified. We've been eating out for more money lately, but sometimes the quality or quantity wasn't right. We were satisfied here and would happily recommend it to others.

We had a great meal in our new home. The service was friendly, the food was fresh and the portions were large. Only the green salad could have been a little fresher. We'll definitely come here more often.

None of the people who work there are from Italy. I would say they all come from… Croatia? Albania? Hard to say. The food is okay, but neither really Italian nor really good. The service is very good. The ambience too. But still only three stars because it's not a real Italian restaurant with real Italian food.

Had a lovely evening in the garden of Piccola Italia. A large selection of delicious dishes. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. Had a delicious steak and my wife had an excellent veal rack . Highly recommended locally.

A great restaurant with delicious food and very friendly staff. I was in Leipzig for a long weekend and ate there every evening. Definitely recommended!

The tagliatelle with spinach and salmon was okay, could have been warmer. The service was poor to non-existent. Table was not cleaned, chair cushions were only brought when asked and then only two for 4 people. An hour after opening they weren't ready to take orders. This took a very long time and the display with daily specials only arrived when we asked. And the usual schnapps at the end was not offered either.

We came here spontaneously after visiting the zoo. We were very satisfied with our visit to the restaurant. The cozy restaurant is furnished in Italian style and you immediately feel at home here. If you want to find a point of criticism, it might be that it's a bit cramped. The service was attentive, very courteous and quick. But the most important thing is of course the quality of the food. We had bruschetta, spaghetti and pizza of the day. All dishes were above average, the pizzas were thin, crispy and richly topped. If we are in the area again we will definitely eat here again.

We were guests at our friends' wedding. We were served courteously in this nice little restaurant... very friendly and attentive service. No matter whether antipasti, main course or dessert...everything was lovingly prepared and corresponded to the Italian flair. Simply fantastic and recommended to everyone. We ate there on our city trip. We ate really well and sat in the beer garden. But the seats in the restaurant also look very inviting. We had an appetizer and a pizza each and everything was really good. So if you don't want to eat directly in the city where there is a lot of hustle and bustle, this is the right place for you. A really good pizzeria. There is Zabaglione, although it is not on the menu. Top.

The food just wasn't convincing. It was so tasteless and just wasn't tasty. Unfortunately not served hot either. It's been a long time since I've had such a bad Italian meal. A pity. The decor was tasteful.
