We were just passing through after visiting the zoo, we were very hungry. I googled what was rated well nearby. We walked for about 15 minutes and were excited to see what awaited us. When we arrived we initially wanted to sit outside but decided to eat inside because more rain made it seem safer for us. We were there around 7:30 p.m. - there were already very few free tables. But we were lucky to get another one The service was very friendly and tried hard to make it work. The restaurant can be reached by going down a few steps as it is located in a basement. The atmosphere is very well maintained and you immediately feel at home. Even though it was very crowded. We only had to wait about 20 minutes until we received our pizzas. We were surprised at the size, they were really huge! from the stone oven and very tasty and well topped. We didn't manage to plaster them completely. We paid 60 euros including drinks for 2 people and 1 child, not a little but definitely justified. We've been eating out for more money lately, but sometimes the quality or quantity wasn't right. We were satisfied here and would happily recommend it to others.

We had a great meal in our new home. The service was friendly, the food was fresh and the portions were large. Only the green salad could have been a little fresher. We'll definitely come here more often.

None of the people who work there are from Italy. I would say they all come from… Croatia? Albania? Hard to say. The food is okay, but neither really Italian nor really good. The service is very good. The ambience too. But still only three stars because it's not a real Italian restaurant with real Italian food.

We have been going here for many years and can highly recommend Piccola Italia. The food is very good and has a changing daily menu. The boss is the boss you can always talk to. 10/10, highly recommended.

Had a lovely evening in the garden of Piccola Italia. A large selection of delicious dishes. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. Had a delicious steak and my wife had an excellent veal rack . Highly recommended locally.

A great restaurant with delicious food and very friendly staff. I was in Leipzig for a long weekend and ate there every evening. Definitely recommended!

The tagliatelle with spinach and salmon was okay, could have been warmer. The service was poor to non-existent. Table was not cleaned, chair cushions were only brought when asked and then only two for 4 people. An hour after opening they weren't ready to take orders. This took a very long time and the display with daily specials only arrived when we asked. And the usual schnapps at the end was not offered either.

We came here spontaneously after visiting the zoo. We were very satisfied with our visit to the restaurant. The cozy restaurant is furnished in Italian style and you immediately feel at home here. If you want to find a point of criticism, it might be that it's a bit cramped. The service was attentive, very courteous and quick. But the most important thing is of course the quality of the food. We had bruschetta, spaghetti and pizza of the day. All dishes were above average, the pizzas were thin, crispy and richly topped. If we are in the area again we will definitely eat here again.

No matter whether antipasti, main course or dessert...everything was lovingly prepared and corresponded to the Italian flair. Simply fantastic and recommended to everyone. We ate there on our city trip. We ate really well and sat in the beer garden. But the seats in the restaurant also look very inviting. We had an appetizer and a pizza each and everything was really good. So if you don't want to eat directly in the city where there is a lot of hustle and bustle, this is the right place for you. A really good pizzeria. There is Zabaglione, although it is not on the menu. Top.

The food just wasn't convincing. It was so tasteless and just wasn't tasty. Unfortunately not served hot either. It's been a long time since I've had such a bad Italian meal. A pity. The decor was tasteful.

Small cozy restaurant. We were there early in the evening and were therefore able to find a table. We didn't have to wait long for the food. This is simply our living room! Delicious cuisine, very careful service guys and the chef knows his job. You can sit outside for hours in the summer and forget about everyday life. An important thing to know, officially (Google Maps info) the restaurant closes at 2:30 p.m. But unfortunately when I arrived there at 1:30 p.m., I was told that the kitchen was closed... It was very disappointing. In the evening the restaurant should be more respectful of its opening hours, or Google should adapt its information. That said, I have already eaten there in the evening and I always recommend this restaurant.

Wie der Name schon sagt, ein kleiner Italiener...allerdings mit sehr gutem Essen und einer tollen Bedienung. Es war für uns wie ein Kurzurlaub in Italien. Zwei Tipps: 1. Die Tageskarte nicht übersehen und 2. Den Kellner nach Wein fragen, der nicht in der Karte steht. Ganz klar eine Preis-Leistung-Empfehlung!!!

Kleiner Nachtrag am 29.09.2023: Service ist besser geworden. Leider aber noch nicht völlig überzeugend. Aber definitiv ok. Essen ist um einiges besser geworden. Die Pasta, wie auch die Pizza waren sehr lecker. Preislich ist das Niveau für die gebotene Leistung auf jeden Fall ok. Eintrag von 2020 damals 3 Sterne: Eher mittelmäßig, essen war ok aber nicht wirklich super toll. Service auch nur Mittelmaß. Zu dem gibt es im Sommer auf dem Freisitz ein massives Fliegen Problem. Preislich absolut nicht gerechtfertigt

Das Serviceteam war vom ersten Telefonat bis zum letzten Degestiv aufmerksam, zuvorgekommene, freundlich und engagiert. Die Speisen (besonders die der Tageskarte) waren lecker und reichlich. Die Weine zur Auswahl perfekt, genau wie die Beratung zur Wahl. DieVerteilung einer Vorspeise auf zwei Teller vollkommen problemlos 😊 Preis Leistung vollkommen angemessen. Gemeinsam mit Freunden besuchten wir heute dieses tolle Lokal! Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt und sofort bedient! Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker, frisch und die Portion war perfekt! Hier bekam ich das beste Tiramisu meines Lebens! Danke❤️

Ich hatte einige Tage vorab reserviert. Das war auch gut so da ab 19uhr das Lokal im Aussenbereich voll ausgelastet war. Wir saßen schön im Garten des Lokals unter Bäumen. Ca 15 bis 20 Tische. Es war einfach eingedeckt und der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Sicherlich keine ausgebildeten Gastronomen. Die Karte ist solide italienisch ohne Ansprüche und ChiChi. Pasta Pizza und eine Tageskarte mit verschiedenen Gerichten Pfifferlinge Leber Dorade etc. Die Speisen die wir hatten waren gut ohne weitere Ansprüche an eine ambitionierte Küche. Die Preise fand ich im Rahmen - die Kommentare mit überteuert kann ich nicht bestätigen. Den Innenbereichen empfand ich weniger ansprechend daher eher eine Sommerlocation

Leider wurden wir von dem Lokal enttäuscht. Stammgäste sind bevorzugt. Neue Gäste sind nicht so willkommen. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt leider nicht. Bei den Nudeln wären Pfifferlinge dabei gewesen, waren auf beiden Portionen keine drauf. Die Portion war viel zu klein. Das ist mir auch noch nicht passiert, das ich hungrig heim gehe. Komisch ist auch das bei einem Italiener keiner italienisch spricht.

Erstklassiges Essen hier genossen, die Gerichte der Tages/Wochentafel sind sehr zu empfehlen. Dazu sehr schöner Biergarten, freundlicher Service und leckerer Limoncello, was will man mehr!

Ich habe heute diesen Italiener ausprobiert. Es war jeder Tisch besetzt und die Kellner hatten wirklich zu tun. Dennoch waren sie zu jeder Zeit freundlich und die Kellnerin hat sich sogar Zeit für unseren Hund genommen ;) Zum Essen , super lecker und zu tollen fairen Preisen. Eine Straße weiter bekommt man das ganze zu mindestens doppelten Preisen. Wie kommen gerne wieder ;)

Am Rande des Zentrums, aber dennoch ruhig mit sehr schöner Terrasse. Die Innenräume sind durchschnittlich. Das Personal ist eher distanziert-neutral; man fühlt sich akzeptiert, aber nicht willkommen. Das Essen ist in Ordnung, aber zu teuer.

A cute little restaurant with a large selection of dishes, which makes ordering very difficult, but there is no possibility to make a wrong choice as everything is DELICIOUS.

Wir wollten am frühen Abend einen Aperitiv trinken und eine kalte Vorspeise essen. Es waren alle Tische reserviert und wir hatten nur noch eine knappe Stunde zur Verfügung. Das sei zu wenig Zeit, man würde es nicht mehr schaffen. Damit wurden wir, schon sitzend an einem Tisch, abgewiesen, - und das in in einer sehr unfreundlichen Weise. Die Atmosphäre war so, dass wir uns sehr sehr unwillkommen fühlten. Ein freundliches Wort hätte die Situation sicher retten könne.

Wir haben gut, aber nicht überragend gegessen, aber die Reaktion auf einen Bestellfehler (Mittagskarte versehentlich aufgeschlagen) und eine Sonderwunsch-Frage eines erkrankten Gastes erfuhren wir weder Freundlichkeit, noch Bemühtheit. Mit zwei Service-Mitarbeitern hatten wir Kontakt, willkommen fühlten wir uns nicht.

Waren heute (06.07.2017) im Piccola Italia. Die Bedienung war ok, das Essen auch. Beides durchschnittlich. Als das Essen da war, wurden wir von Fliegen umschwärmt, was sehr lästig war. Sobald das Essen abgeräumt wurde, waren auch die Fliegen weg. Das Preisniveau finde ich etwas über der Qualität. Die böse Überraschung kam beim Bezahlen: wir waren mit Happy Diner Card dort und haben das bei der Tischbestellung auch angegen. Beim Bezahlen wurde das aber nicht akzeptiert. Also das Restaurant sieht uns nicht wieder

Durschnittlicher Italiener, mit normaler Speisekarte. Wir waren auf dem Weg zur Red Bull Arena und wollten vorher noch schnell was essen. Da das Wetter gut war sind wir draußen vor den Restaurant gesessen. Pizza war ok, aber das ist ja die Mindestanforderungen. Meine Frau hatte überbackene Nudeln und die waren nichts. Scheinbar gabs auch eine Tageskarte (auf einer Tafel) aber die ging spurlos an uns vorbei. Personal bemüht aber etwas chaotisch. Insgesamt nichts das man zweimal braucht.

Sehr gute Weine leckere Speisen aber das Preisniveau senken oder die Portionen vergrößern und das Personal besser schulen damit die Fehlerquote singt
