Basilico in Leipzig

Very good Italian cuisine and a nice restaurant with a typically lively atmosphere. Despite the busy schedule, the staff is very friendly and takes the time to explain the menu. Reservations are highly recommended, even during the week!

The shop no longer exists, it was in front of the house number and there was only an empty shop. Very unfortunate.

The food we had was excellent! However, the pizza oven was in a smoky mood. After just 10 minutes, our eyes were watering, which was quite tiring throughout the evening. Our clothes smelled accordingly. The grappa, which was highly recommended to us, cost €14 (we could have checked the menu again at that point, of course, but we were intrigued by the recommendation) for just a small sip. The Negroni was basically just Campari. The atmosphere is very nice, but the noise level is rather high, like a train station. All in all, it was okay – we'll probably come back in the summer.

Didn't like it, terrible service

We were there in the summer. We ordered three ice creams and three drinks. We actually received the correct drinks twice and the correct ice cream once, but the second ice cream was wrong, and the third wasn't brought at all. Iced coffee wasn't available. The service was incredibly slow. It's a shame; it used to be different.
