We enjoyed the food very much. The pizza was perfectly prepared, with delicious pizza bread and delicious toppings. The fish dishes were also great – not too salty and made from fresh ingredients. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

Pre-order for 7:00 p.m. Almost 20 minutes later we finally got a table for two... But only one place setting.../ generally between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. complete panic/ stress among the staff among themselves. The food was great = compliments to the kitchen. A lot of seating was improvised... but to the extent that in the event of an accident there was no longer an emergency exit. The safety of guests and perfect organization should also be a priority. As a guest, you experience the stressful situations closely. At the end we wanted to have a mochito... = mint was out. Conclusion.....pure service/ but the food was very tasty 😋.

After walking through the center of Leipzig and visiting the Castle, when we turned around we discovered this restaurant and went straight to dinner. Very helpful and attentive staff who occasionally told you an Italian word. Very cozy place although too dark for my taste. It would increase the light range a little. The atmosphere is pleasant and romantic but with a little more light it would be equally cozy. Very good attention and impeccable service. Always making sure we had everything we wanted. The food was delicious and was served very quickly. Very well made minestrone soup, Neapolitan pizza with good dough and good starters. The spectacular tiramisu!! Adequate prices for how expensive everything is in this city. We would return for sure. Recommended 100x100

The menu lured us to dinner. We got a spot right under the stairs with a view of the ashtray outside the window and a cool breeze on our necks. In contrast to other guests, we had to wait a long time for our food and were not given any salt/pepper shakers or anything similar. The pasta we ordered was very bland and sometimes lacked basil. On the other hand, the pizza was tasty and good. All in all we were very disappointed and didn't feel comfortable.

Our group of girls were looked after in a very friendly manner and every extra wish was fulfilled. The food was extremely tasty, from spaghetti to salad, pizza bread and dessert 😋

Food was very tasty. At first the waiters were courteous and constantly asked if we needed anything. When it started to rain outside and most people went inside, we were forgotten. Everything progressed very slowly.

First of all, I would like to mention that my reviews have been viewed by over 6 million people so far and I don't always rate as badly as I do here! We went to this restaurant for lunch for the first time yesterday as part of a celebration. We had previously reserved and the The table was already set. However, it took a very long time until the waiter came and took the drinks and later the food order. After an hour or more, the main courses came to the table. We had a dish of pasta ala forma, i.e. pasta with porcini mushrooms and truffle oil. This pasta mash, which only contained 2 mushroom slices, was beneath all dignity...Other guests at the table were also dissatisfied with their food. The waiter and staff seemed overwhelmed. I would therefore not recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here. Conclusion: we won't be coming back!

Friendly and courteous staff... 5 stars, gladly again

We eat in this restaurant almost every time we visit Leipzig. The location is great, the service is always friendly and quick. The food tastes good and is normally priced, while in other restaurants the prices have risen significantly. But you shouldn't sit upstairs, it's too warm and the air is too bad. But everything fits below and outside.

Would prefer to give 0 stars, weak taste, half raw and portion too small. I didn't get what I ordered (ordered pesto, got Bolognese), and instead of making it for myself, cold chicken strips were simply cut into the Bolognese. Very bad not recommended. Minced meat in the Bolognese looked like it came from a can.

We've actually always been totally happy with the pizza, but today it was mediocre. The Parma pizza wasn't very appealing because the ham was just put on it out of the packaging, at least that's what it looked like and it was difficult to eat, very tough. It's a shame, I hope we'll be happy again next time. The staff is top and very accommodating and very friendly, 5 stars for that!

Waited a very long time to order anything at all. Everything slow due to understaffing of staff. You would expect a restaurant manager to see this coming. Quite unexpectedly, there were suddenly all kinds of football supporters there. Known for years and still haven't prepared anything.

I had dinner at a restaurant with work colleagues. The service was very friendly. I ate a pizza that was very tasty. A preliminary round game by Germany at the European Football Championship was also shown.

Great location right on Burgplatz. Unfortunately, the food was just okay, the pizzas were a bit bland and dry. The decor is a mix of rustic furniture and modern bar ambience with large window fronts. It was a Sunday and not too busy, we got a seat and the food quickly, friendly staff and good service. However, since the taste is most important to us, we won't eat here again for the time being.

We had high hopes when we entered the restaurant, but we were quickly disappointed. At the beginning we had to wait a long time to be able to order. When the vegetable soup arrived, it lacked any flavor - as if hot water had just been poured over shredded vegetables. The pizza bread wasn't any better: not only was it burnt, but it also tasted completely unseasoned. The atmosphere in the restaurant didn't make you feel comfortable either; it was loud and the ambience lacked any charm. The staff seemed unfriendly throughout and were rarely at the table, which made any service almost impossible. Unfortunately I can't recommend this restaurant (unless you like dirty toilets and bad food) and won't be coming back.

Unfriendly and cross-border service, food was not seasoned at all, the salad with fried goat cheese was subpar because the cheese was not fried, pizza bread was very black on the edge. Soap and towels were missing in the men's toilet, and also in the women's toilet.

The restaurant is in a great place, beautifully centrally located. Unfortunately the service was not good, changes to the order were not passed on to the kitchen. The condition also didn't know what was possible (it was about simple things like extra onions or sauces). The pizza tasted good and was ok despite the wrong order. However, it was only lukewarm. It has to be said that around 6 tables were occupied in the entire restaurant.

Been here several times on my visits to Leipzig, says been a good experience.

First of all I would like to mention that the restaurant offers delicious pizzas for lunch. If you choose the expensive category, you will be disappointed. Charging €12.50 for 100 grams of chicken and 1.5 potatoes is then disproportionate. Tip: only order pizzas for lunch.

We have been to La Piazza several times now. Unfortunately this time we had to wait a long time for our food.

Although the atmosphere is appealing and the service was really nice, we have never had such a bad meal. Canneloni and lasagna are unsalted, unseasoned and swimming in sauce. The canneloni could hardly be found in the cream, egg and butter mash. Unfortunately we didn't say anything, we just wanted to quickly put this experience behind us - actually we should have let everything go back.

This experience was terrible. It was the worst meal I have ever experienced. I ordered calamari. It was just raw! I gave it back. I needed a second one. (we were a group of 7 and everyone had finished eating when my food came) This squid was cooked but charred in places and tough as a shoe sole! I stopped complaining and just ate the side dish. But then I had to endure stupid sayings from the waiters. And besides, the fish would be of high quality from the metro and always be with you like that!

The table reservation didn't work, the pasta was cold, 1 meal came when everyone else was already finished, no napkins at the table, no apology for the forgotten pizza. Overall very disappointing. No recommendation. Not a second time.

La Piazza is one of the best restaurants in Leipzig. It has an incredibly delicious cuisine with many different dishes. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is also very nicely decorated. I really enjoy being a regular here!

From the restaurant you have a beautiful view over the Burgplatz to the New Town Hall. Another positive point is that the staff was very friendly and welcoming. However, the team seems to be understaffed here too. The male colleagues in particular tried to get as much done as possible by running hectically - the restaurant was packed on Saturday evening. But that creates a lot of unrest and discomfort. The restaurant on two floors is quite nice, but it is also extremely loud due to its size and closely spaced tables - it is hardly possible to have a quiet conversation at the table. Sound-absorbing room dividers and wall textiles are simply missing here. The waiting time for the food was unacceptable - and when the time came, all three main courses came differently. The first one was finished when the last one got his pizza. Since pizza is also delivered outside the home, the pizza maker simply couldn't keep up with the oven - an organizational mistake! The food is ok - but not a particular highlight. The seafood pizza was very soggy - apparently because frozen seafood was put directly on the dough. A big point of criticism are the toilets: deafening music was booming in the men's toilet, three out of four urinals were broken so you had to wait in line at the door, and there was no soap. Conclusion: Staff very friendly and helpful, food is fine, ambience needs to be improved. You can go there - it won't be our regular place.

The staff was overwhelmed by the number of guests. The first drink order was prompt. Ordering food as drinks was also ok. But then the glasses were empty, the waiters were nowhere to be seen and the food didn't come. We had to point out our empty glasses to the waiters. The meal, rigatoni with cheese, took over an hour. A waiter said the food wasn't charged, then it was on the bill and they took it down after we pointed it out. It was our second time and our last time there.

It was a successful birthday surprise for my children♥️, thank you for the delicious food and fantastic service. Price performance is top. Keep it up! We'd love to come back.

Very nice restaurant with great service and delicious food. We were there on a Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m., it was very busy and therefore very loud, you had to talk louder, otherwise you wouldn't have understood each other. The music itself in the restaurant was also a bit too loud.

We had a festive, tasty and excellent meal on New Year's Eve at reasonable prices. Everyone was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, unobtrusively nice in typical Italian style. Thank you for this wonderful evening. We'll be back with anticipation. LG Jens

The service was very good, the waiter was very attentive. Unfortunately the food was mediocre at best. The carpacio didn't taste like anything and was noticeably cold, very similar to the pizza as the main course, not cold, but unspectacular. The ambience was okay.

Für uns ab heute der beste Italiener in Leipzig. Hier wird keiner weggeschickt, obwohl der Laden voll war. Service absolut top und das Essen richtig lecker. Jederzeit wieder.

Es war ein sehr schöner Abend in einem schönen Ambiente. Das Essen, in meinem Fall Lasagne und Tiramisu, war wunderbar. Preislich war es ebenfalls top.

Zunächst das Positive: Essen geschmackvoll (Dorade), Nachtisch ( Tartufo), die Hauptmahlzeit war kurz vor dem Ende schon sehr kalt Negativ: obwohl wir einen Tisch reserviert hatten und in der Schlange an erster Stelle standen, wurden andere Gäste, welche sicher dem Haus bekannt waren, ausführlich und mit Bussi Bussi begrüßt und es wurde sich unterhalten. Wir standen derweil wie die begossenen Pudel und warteten auf den Tisch. Irgendwann war der Part erledigt und wir bestellten Getränke. Bis die auf dem Tisch standen, vergingen ca 15 Minuten. Es handelte sich um ein Bier und einen Sherry. In dieser Geschwindigkeit bestellten wir dann das Essen. Obwohl die Keller mehrfach nach dessen Beendigung am Tisch vorbei liefen, blieben die Teller weiterhin auf dem Tisch. Die Speisekarte wurde auf Wunsch nachgereicht und wir bestellten den Nachtisch. Dieser kam dann auch, etwas schneller als der Hauptgang. Alles in allem funktioniert es weitestgehend in der Küche. Der Service hingegen hat reichlich Luft bis zu 5 Sternen. Oder man entschließt sich, nur noch gute Bekannte und Freunde zu empfangen. Dann sind sicher alle zufrieden.

In sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre saßen wir am Abend direkt am Fester und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt 😀 die Auswahl ist groß und die Entscheidung viel schwer 😄 es wurden die Ravioli mit Kürbis Füllung ! sehr zu empfehlen ! Wir kommen gern wieder, da gibt es noch einige Speisen die ich probieren möchte 😄

Wir waren diesmal überhaupt nicht zufrieden. Bedienung konnte kaum deutsch, das war jedoch kein Problem. Mehrere Kellner waren jedoch auch nicht sehr umsichtig, man musste sie mehrfach rufen und Zeichen geben, um etwas zu trinken nachbestellen zu können. Das Essen hat uns diesmal gar nicht überzeugt. Es kam auch nicht zur selben Zeit und geschmacklich hat es sehr nachgelassen. Schade. Wir kommen erstmal nicht wieder.

Wir sind vom Niederrhein nach Leipzig gekommen um ein paar schöne Tage in dieser tollen Stadt zu erleben. Unsere 2 Abendessen im La Piazza haben eindeutig zum Erfolg beigetragen. Wir wurden unglaublich freundlich empfangen und bewirtet. Das Essen ist großartig und der Grappa ein herrlicher Abschluss. Sehr laut im Restaurant. Teilweise Preis Leistung nicht angemessen.

Das Restaurant hat eine schöne Location! Man kann draußen sitzen oder drinnen Platz nehmen. Da das Restaurant sich auf zwei Etagen verteilt, ist genug Platz da. Die Karte ist groß und bietet viele Gerichte von Mittagsangebotwn bis hin zu Pizza, Pasta und Fischgerichten. Wir hatten eine Tomatesuppe, eine Salat und ein Pasta Gericht bestellt. Alle Gerichte waren nicht schlecht.. aber auch nicht besonders. Das Dressing für den Salat muss man selbst machen. Die Kellner waren höflich und versuchten freundlich zu sein.

Das Essen ist sehr gut, die Speisekarte sehr vielfältig und bietet einige italienische ausgefallene Spezialitäten. Die Bedienung ist sehr bemüht und freundlich. Lediglich die Architektur des Lokals ähnelt eher einer modernen Bar als einem italienischen Ristorante, im Sommer ist der Außenbereich am schönen Burgplatz beeindruckend schön. Ich war an 4 Abenden 2x dort, sehr empfehlenswert.

Beste Lage zum draussen geniessen. Der Service ist grosse Klasse! Wer italienisch sprechen kann erfreut den Kellner, denn es ist seine Heimatsprache!!
