Even on a very busy evening, we managed to get a table at short notice. It was a very pleasant evening, and the servers were very friendly. The pizza was delicious, and I will definitely come back! I've found my favorite pizza here.

The food was mediocre and the service slow. While some staff members were friendly, the overall hygiene was unpleasant. We were given a small plate for olive oil, but its rim was covered in dead flies, with one even falling onto the plate. The atmosphere, however, was nice.

Very nice Italian. With large outdoor space. She's beautiful. You sit in a place under chestnut trees and parasols. Feeling like in Italy. The food was very tasty and the portions were generous. We visited the restaurant a few days ago with a large group and had a bill of over €430. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to our expectations – especially considering the price. Our reservation was only accepted on the condition that we order appetizer plates – which we found rather unpleasant. During the evening, several discrepancies occurred: Ordered non-alcoholic drinks were mixed up and served with alcohol, one main course arrived significantly earlier than the rest of the dishes, and another was completely forgotten and arrived much later. The food was overall okay, but rather average. Some pizzas were burnt. Finally, we tried to cancel an unopened water bottle that was left at the table – but this was refused, even though it hadn't been opened or touched. Overall, a disappointing experience that didn't live up to the restaurant's standards and price level.

Great food and fantastic Italian charm

We celebrated our wedding reception with you last August after the registry office ceremony – and it was simply unforgettable! Everything was beautifully decorated outside, with so much attention to detail. The food was fantastic, the service warm and attentive – we and our guests felt completely at home. A special highlight was also the cake made by Giuseppe's daughter – it was not only beautiful, but also incredibly delicious! You can really feel the family atmosphere and the passion you put into it. Thank you for making our big day so special. We always think back fondly and will definitely be back soon! ❤️🍝🍷🎂

A deeply disturbing experience – a complaint has been filed!! I experienced one of my worst evenings ever at this bar, during the (annual?) Saitta Street Festival. My friends and I were sitting on one of the beer benches further out. Early on, a waiter caught our attention who seemed very overexcited and pushy. His personal bag was just lying on our table – which was already irritating. As the evening progressed, he began to specifically target one of my friends and repeatedly harass her in an unpleasant manner. He cleared glasses in between, returned, and without comment placed a glass of wine in front of her that she had neither ordered nor wanted. A short time later, he returned to the table and remarked in a demanding tone that she "hadn't had anything to drink yet." What followed was an extremely unpleasant conversation in which he adopted an increasingly aggressive tone. We tried to defuse the situation with neutral small talk and somehow get rid of him, but every word seemed to provoke him further. His statements became increasingly confused and vague. Then there was a clear break: In the context of a conversation that seemed unrelated, he suddenly used the N-word. I immediately and clearly told him to stop. Instead of apologizing, he repeated the word several times, specifically to me, and extremely loudly – ​​it was so embarrassing, completely inappropriate, hurtful, and disgusting! It was an absolutely unacceptable, racist attack that left me speechless. We then turned to the manager. He and a colleague called the waiter over. As expected, the waiter denied all allegations. The manager promised to look into it and take action. What that meant specifically remained unclear. That was essentially the end of the situation for us – or so we thought. But after we had left the restaurant and were already about 20-30 meters away, the waiter in question suddenly approached us (or rather, me) with rapid strides. He stood directly in front of me, physically confronted me, talked himself into a rage, and ignored several clear requests to keep his distance. The situation was threatening and unpredictable – we didn't know what else he was capable of. He continued to insult me ​​and called me a "virus." I'd had enough, and I immediately filed a complaint against him. Even the police officer who took the incident was outraged by his behavior. I've never experienced anything like this before – and I wouldn't wish it on anyone else. What happened here was not only disrespectful and abusive, but also clearly racist and potentially dangerous. After this incident, I will never enter this restaurant again. Whether the owners will actually take action remains to be seen – in my opinion, it's urgently necessary. This dangerous man must not be let loose on people, and especially not on women.

The pizza is really delicious, but the spaghetti carbonara (for almost €30) was bad in every way (the spaghetti was too soft, the egg in the sauce was already partially hard, there wasn't the intense Parmesan/Pecorino flavor you'd expect, and the ham should have been guanciale for that price). When I politely told the waiter at the end that the pasta wasn't good, he started arguing without apologizing. His response was, "You ate all your food." I think that's a real shame, because the pizza is really good, but I won't be coming back.

Saitta Piazza used to be one of my favorite places in Oberkassel. Unfortunately, the pizzas were often slightly burnt around the edges, the prices were drastically increased, and the mayor gets a tablecloth while all the other guests outside don't. Furthermore, the service has deteriorated considerably. The interior ambiance has also become dated. Bottom line: It used to be better.

I had a business meeting and it was a pleasure. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They serve extremely delicious food. A colleague had a pizza which he rated as the best ever. I had the filet steak and would rate it one out of five best I ever had. So delicious ❤️ really a recommendation

It was a very nice evening in Piazza Saitta, unfortunately due to the weather indoors and not in the beautiful square! Because we had to reschedule at short notice due to the weather and the service handled that really well. The order was taken without delay, the food arrived, the drinks arrived, perfect! Perfect food (tuna tataki!!!!), quick service - just a noisy chatter when the dining room finally filled up, exhausting 😥

When the weather was great, we sat outside on Barbarossaplatz. Of course, that initially made you feel good. The staff was unfortunately incredibly unfriendly. I'll save you more details here. The food was good average but nothing more. Was expecting more.

My husband and I were very satisfied. The atmosphere was really pleasant. The staff are very, very friendly & polite. (Thanks again to the employee who was so attentive and immediately got paper and crayons for our son) We both ordered the "Pizza Regina Margherita" - it was more than just delicious!

My sister and I ended up here spontaneously yesterday and had a wonderful evening. The staff is super friendly, the food and wine were very tasty! The “Tri di Pasta” are absolutely recommended.

Despite a reservation, we were left standing in the middle of a crowded room for 15 minutes until they finally decided to transport a table from the outside area inside for us and place it in the middle of the aisle. This situation was extremely embarrassing for us as all eyes were on this table and the proceedings. We were looking forward to the evening, but this situation was unacceptable for us.

We had antipasti and pasta. Plus an Arneis from Piedmont and a Pinot Grigio from Friuli. Difficult to say which was better. Everything was excellent and the service was excellent. Gladly again!

Obwohl gegen Mittag nur 2 Tische belegt waren (und sich dieses auch während der gesamten Zeit nicht geändert hat) wurden wir gebeten, uns in den hinteren Bereich an einen 2er Tisch zu setzen. Das wirkte sehr unhöflich uns gegenüber. Neben der normalen Karte wurden auch Pilz- und Trüffelgerichte als Erweiterung angeboten. Die Bestellung wurde zügig gebracht. Das Vitello Tonato hat mich nicht überzeugt: das Fleisch war okay, aber nicht zart und wurde in zuviel Creme "ertränkt". Die Deko auf dem Essen..... ??? Der Service war nett

My fiancé and I went there today and we really loved it. From the bread to the candelloni to the pizza, everything was really top! The homemade olive oil that was served with bread, salt and pepper as a starter was also delicious. If you want to eat an original Italian pizza and live near Düsseldorf - a clear recommendation from me!

Although only two tables were occupied around lunchtime (and this did not change throughout the entire time), we were asked to sit at a table for two in the back area. That seemed very rude to us. Gehen Sie einfach davon aus, dass Ihre Rechnung nicht stimmen wird. Dieses Mal hatten wir als kleine Vorspeise einen KLEINEN Vorspeisenteller bestellt ... wir wollten uns den zu viert teilen. Er war zwar etwas größer als erwartet, aber ok. Nur auf der Rechnung wurde aus den einen kleinen Vorspeisenteller zwei große ... darauf angesprochen: wir hätten ja alle eine Vorspeise haben wollen. Es hilft nichts. Dieser Laden ist "besonders" ... daher: Rechnung kontrollieren und bitte alle eine RECHNUNG verlangen. Dann kommen wenigstens ein paar Steuern zurück.

It works in this way: You send a mail for the reservation and you wait for an answer..for ever😂because I never got an answer. All restaurant in the world allow you to reserve online, STRAIGHT AWAY without waiting for a responde! 1) there is a free table? yes, ok then. or 2) table is not available? ok and so then you go somewhere else..🤷‍♂️. Here? not ..! you wait forever for an answer to your email and that’s it. Attention to the customer is zero.

Food was good and Staff was friendly but items are heavily overpriced and it was freezing cold outside. We asked 3 times if we could move inside but we were not allowed to. Pizza 20€< beer 5€ , desert 10€. Our bill came to 140€ for 4 people although we only had one pizza each, water and shared 2 deserts. No receipt was provided which was a bit shady. We left a good tip but the waiter did not even say thank you.

Bei schönstem Sommerwetter waren wir zu Gast auf dem Marktplatz Piazza Saitta. Wir waren schon lange nicht mehr hier und hatten das Restaurant in sehr guter Erinnerung. Zusammenfassend muss ich sagen, es hat sich nicht zum Besseren verändert. Die Preise (auch für die Speisen, die in kleinen Portionen angeboten wurden) waren für Speisen ohne Fleisch oder Fisch überteuert. Das Essen war gut, aber nicht überragend. Fisch auf der Karte war hauptsächlich Lachs, bei einem Italiener vermissten wir mediterranen Fisch. Was uns am meisten gestört hat und auch mehr als überrascht hat, weil wir Herrn Saitta selber noch nie so erlebt hatten, war der Service: Dieser Kellner war einfach ignorant und geradezu arrogant. Den jungen Servicekräften kann man zumindest bescheinigen, dass sie sich bemüht haben. Mobiliar und Interieur sowie die Restrooms haben auch schon bessere Zeiten gesehen.

After the starter, we wanted to order the main course, but instead of bringing us the menu, the waitress took several smoking breaks and drank beer at the neighboring table. The owner, who later identified himself as such, did not respond to our complaints with the professionalism we had hoped for, but instead became loud and rude. The food itself was another disappointment. While the carpaccio was tasty, the truffle pasta lacked flavor and the lasagna was reminiscent of ready-made ravioli. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio was not at all good. Conclusion: once and never again!

On top: Keine Reaktion auf unsere Kritik, dass das kein Geschäftsgebaren sei, keine Entschuldigung, kein Entgegenkommen. Interessant für die Aufsicht des Hotel- und Gaststättenverbandes. Zuvor:Wein kommt erst nach mehrfacher Erinnerung, als das Essen zur Hälfte verzehrt ist, mehrfache Nachfrage, was man bestellt habe. Pizza kalt. Fazit: So gewinnt man keine Kunden.❗️❗️❗️

The pizzas are authentic and rich in toppings, and the crispy dough is a real treat. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. The friendly staff and central location make Piazza Saitta a must for all pizza lovers!

I really wanted to love Piazza Saita, but my experience fell short. The service was incredibly slow. We waited a long time to flag down a waiter for both our order and the check. While the food wasn't terrible, it wasn't anything special either. Just average pasta dishes you could find at many other restaurants. If you're looking for a quick and tasty Italian meal, Piazza Saita might be alright. But if you're hoping for attentive service and food that wows, I'd recommend heading elsewhere.

The service seemed slightly overwhelmed at the beginning, but this was obviously more due to certain guests than to the competence of the service. Three of us went to dinner with colleagues (none of them from Düsseldorf) on a Saturday evening. Unfortunately for an Italian in this price range it's just mediocre. Vitello for the starter was quite good, but the pasta with prawns was unfortunately dry and didn't taste as good as hoped. Overall, what was missing was a nice sauce with fresh tomatoes to round the whole thing off. The dessert was the highlight, I've never had such a bad tiramisu in a mini glass for €6. Service was very hectic and not attentive (but friendly). Unfortunately no one came and asked if we would like something to drink. On my next visit to Düsseldorf, I'd rather go to another restaurant for the price. Overall, unfortunately, sobering.

Simply fantastic! We had a very nice evening with you. As a main course we had 'Tris di Pasta' and 'Regina di Bruschetta', the queen of bruschetta. Remember, sh is pronounced 'sk' in Italian. The pasta was simply a delight and really al dente! On Valentine's Day every lady even got a rose🌹we'll be back = ritorneremo :)

Ordered Spaghetti Vongole today and asked that it not be too dry: lots of sauce please! What came out was really dry spaghetti without sauce! With the smallest Venus shells ever! For the price of €24.50 it's a disaster! Even the tiramisu dessert was a joke! Has nothing to do with original Italian tiramisu! A small 0.2 water really costs €4.50! This address is just a rip off...!

Not too spacious but good place

We were there for dinner in the evening. It looks nice in the dark, like so many other restaurants. Otherwise, unfortunately, the worm was in there. First it took a very long time before anyone came, then even longer before we could order something, and finally we waited over an hour until the starters came... which were, let's say, benevolently average. We were happy to forego a main course. Unfortunately, our trust in a premium restaurant was abused when paying. Two bottles of red wine were brazenly billed on an interim bill instead of the one bottle drunk. No, with such a claim from the restaurant, I expect there to be no errors. Nevertheless: CAUTION, 1.) do not accept the invoice as an interim invoice and 2.) check it carefully!!

We visited here on a Friday evening to kick off the weekend. There was cannelloni as a starter and pizza as a main course - everything was excellent and high quality. So I can only recommend the shop 😉 The dessert was also very good! You should definitely reserve a table here in advance, as the shop is very busy. In my opinion, the ambience actually "suffers" a bit from the high number of visitors - it is quite loud and you really have to be lucky to find a parking space in the surrounding streets 🙈

Despite having a reservation, we unfortunately had to wait 5 minutes for our table, which was right at the entrance and therefore in through traffic. Food OK, but quite expensive. Since there are enough alternatives in this price segment, we probably won't come back.

Alle Rezensionen sind mit Ihrer Aussage berechtigt; nämlich schwankende Qualität der Speisen, dem Personal fehlt eine Nachschulung im Umgang mit Gästen.

Ich bin absolut überzeugt. Vollkommen egal was man sich bestellt, alles ist ein Fest für den Gaumen und geschmackvoll angerichtet. Die Qualität der verwendeten Produkte kann man sehen und schmecken. Das Ambiente bringt einen nach Italien und man erkennt, wie stolz der Besitzer auf sein Restaurant ist. Abgerundet wird alles mit hervorragenden Weinen und einem phänomenalen Olivenöl, welches am Anfang zum Brot gereicht wird und dem sehr leckeren Espresso zum krönenden Abschluss. Besonders dem Service möchte ich noch meinen Dank aussprechen. Alle sind sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und geben einem das Gefühl willkommen zu sein und das sie sich über unseren Besuch freuen. Ich kann es kaum erwarten erneut dort essen zu gehen und weitere Köstlichkeiten erleben zu dürfen. Eine Top Adresse für einen wunderschönen Abend allein, zu zweit oder mit einer größeren Gruppe.

Ein bemerkenswerter Abend, und das ist kein Kompliment. Für 10 Personen reserviert, nach einer Stunde hatten wir immer noch keine Bestellung für Getränke aufgeben können. Dann kam der Kellner, schob die Sachen auf dem Tisch hin und her mit der Bemerkung er wolle Platz machen für die Antipasti Platten. Auf unseren Einwand das wir keine bestellt haben wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass ab 6 Personen diese Platten automatisch serviert würden, pro Person 15.00 Euro und man uns das schließlich bei der Reservierung mitgeteilt habe. Hat man nicht und so haben wir darum gebeten, ohne diese Platten jetzt endlich etwas bestellen zu können. Dann kam Herr Saitta persönlich an unseren Tisch, fragte wer denn hier ein Problem habe und teilte uns mit, dass man uns auf jeden Fall die Bestellung der Vorspeisenteller bei der Reservierung mitgeteilt hätte, wir hätten dass nur nicht verstanden. Das ist schon mal eine ziemliche Unverschämtheit, dieser Mann bezichtigt uns der Lüge, und dabei war er nicht mal bei der Reservierung dabei. Dann kam der Knaller; die Vorspeisenteller wären zur Entlastung der Küche, damit diese besser Vorplanen kann und auch zu unserem Vorteil. Den konnten wir jetzt nicht nachvollziehen da wir alle in der Lage unser eigenes Essen auszuwählen. Das wir danach nach Belieben a la carte bestellen konnten hätte die Küche dann aber wohl noch geschafft… Ein Schelm, wer Böses dabei denkt! Wir haben uns dann entschieden die Küche zu entlasten und sind gegangen. Wir haben Herrn Saitta dann noch 5 Euro für das ein oder andere Stückchen Brot gegeben, wir wollen ja keine Zeche prellen. Wir sind dann ins Brauhaus Alter Bahnhof am Belsenplatz gegangen und hatten einen wunderbaren Abend mit toller Bedienung und Atmosphäre… Herr Saitta, so geht Gastronomie.

Wir haben draußen an einem nett eingedeckten Tisch auf einem Vorplatz gegessen. Das Essen war gut und die Bedienung nett. Empfehlenswert. Allerdings sind die Preise auch recht gehoben.

Wir waren mit 6 Personen dort. Ich hatte Fettuccine mit Steinpilzen. Das Essen war geschmacklich ein Desaster. Es hat nach nichts geschmeckt! Die Fettuccine waren meiner Meinung nach billige Industrieware und dem Gericht hat Würze gefehlt. Ich bin sehr oft in Italien und bin definitiv bessere Pasta im Restaurant gewohnt. Für 24,50 EUR geht das gar nicht..... Die Pizza Margherita meines Sohnes ebenfalls enttäuschend. Der Boden war kein bisschen knusprig und die Tomatensauce und der Mozzarella eine einzige zerlaufene Pampe.... Nie wieder! Der Service war aufmerksam wenn auch die Weingläser nicht am Stiel serviert sondern am Bauch angefasst wurden. Die Casarecce Carbonara mit Parmaschinken meiner Frau waren sehr lecker und voller Geschmack und retten dem Piazza Saitta 2 Sterne.

Ich habe selten in einem Lokal so lecker gegessen. Es war zwar sehr voll und daher auch etwas lauter, aber wir hatten einen tollen Abend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Essen kam heiß an den Tisch! Super Restaurant!

Ich war schon mindestens 10 Mal hier. Das Restaurant ist gemütlich, die Pizza die beste der Stadt (meiner Meinung nach). Außerdem sind die Kellner professionell und freundlich, was man heutzutage sehr zu schätzen weiß. Ich empfehle es.

Lecker gegessen und nett gesessen bei schönem Wetter

Gehobene italienische Küche mit einem großzügigen Außenbereich auf dem Barbarossaplatz. Dazu gibt's eine große Auswahl an Pizza & Pasta und einen gut gemixten Aperol 🍊

We visited this place in a big group of friends and booked the table in advance. The terrace is lovely surrounded by cute Oberklassel architecture. After we ordered, the food arrived within 10 min and the dishes were pre-cooked and not very tasty (which was disappointing), the only dish that was cooked from scratch was pizza (which was tasty, btw). I understand why they cook potatoes in advance but fish should be cooked right before serving it to a customer. The service was so-so, maybe because it was Saturday and the place was busy but the waiters ignored us quite often. Overall, I would come back for pizza but not for the main dishes.

Wir waren erstmalig da - wenn die Terrasse voll ist, muss es ja gut sein. Erste Frage direkt "reserviert??".. Kein Hallo, nichts. Wir hatten keine Reservierung, darauf wurde dann ein anderer Kellner gefragt und wir wurden platziert. Die große Flasche Wasser kam nicht, drei mal nachgefragt, dann kam etwas falsches was auch nicht kommentiert wurde, nur mit einem Augenrollen der Dame, die dann wieder abwanderte. Essen dauerte fast 45 Minuten, wir beide hatten eine unterschiedliche Pizza, jede um die 15 (!!) € und war für einen hohlen Zahn. Klein, dicker Rand, wenig Belag und fast kalt. Mein Frau hatte drei Scheibchen Aubergine auf der Pizza, ich drei Stückchen Thunfisch. Weiter wurde nichts gefragt, ob wir noch etwas wünschen, stumpfe Messer womit man die Pizza zerreißen musste, als das man diese schneiden konnte. Die Rechnung musste dann auch drei mal angefragt werden, 30 Minuten später kam sie dann... die dann auch noch falsch war und wir Getränke bezahlen sollten, die wir nicht bestellt hatten. Um uns herum die Gäste haben oft das falsche Essen bekommen, Kellner liefen umher und suchten den passenden Tisch zu der Bestellung. Keine Empfehlung - es gibt in Düsseldorf unzählige bessere Adressen. Der Platz an dem man draußen sitzt, ist schön.

Wir wollten in der Woche dort essen gehen, weshalb wir nachmittags einen Tisch für abends telefonisch reservierten. Ein paar Stunden später angekommen meldeten wir uns draußen bei einer Dame, die die Plätze zuwies. Wir sagten unsere Reservierung an, woraufhin sie erwiderte, dass sie unsere Reservierung nicht hat und frühestens einen Tisch in einer guten Stunde frei hätte. Ausserdem ging sie schnell davon aus, dass wir im falschen Restaurant telefonisch reserviert hätten (im Saittavini nebenan). Daraufhin zeigten wir ihr die gewählte Nummer, woraufhin sie meinte, dass das nicht dir Nummer des Restaurants wäre. Wir riefen erneut an, woraufhin das Telefon direkt neben ihr klingelte. Das wurde komplett ignoriert. (Wir waren beim richtigen Restaurant, schließlich hatten wir erst die Woche davor beim selben angerufen und Pizza zum mitnehmen bestellt und abgeholt.) Wir fragten dann nochmal drinnen nach, ob dort eine Reservierung von uns vorliege. Dann war auf einmal doch ein Tisch verfügbar. Die Dame, die uns zuvor unangenehm abgewimmelt hatte, bekam dies auch mit, entschuldigte sich aber in keiner Weise für ihr vorheriges Verhalten. Der schlechte Service zog sich weiter. Unsere Bestellung wurde hektisch aufgenommen, der Kellner unterhielt sich dabei mit jemand anderem und vergaß unsere Bestellung, welche wir nochmal wiederholen mussten. Das Essen war für den Preis sehr enttäuschend. Kleine Portionen aber nur mittlere Qualität, zum höheren Preis. Fazit: Wir werden dort nicht nochmal vor Ort essen, da der schlechte Service die Gesamtstimmung zerstört hat. Das Pizza bestellen kann man empfehlen, da sie lecker sind.

Definitiv einer der besseren Pizzerien in Düsseldorf. Das Etablissement ist authentisch und ansprechend. Das Team kompetent und freundlich Die Pizza ist eine 9/10 und kommt sehr nah an einen neapolitanische Pizza, wie in Neapel, dran. Besonders die zutaten sind qualitativ hochwertig, z.B Thunfisch Pizza mit handgeschnittenem Thunfisch. Definitiv empfehlenswert.

Super Location bei gutem Wetter, tolles Ambiente. Küche sehr gut, Preis Leistung stimmig. Service könnte sich noch verbessern, manchmal etwas mürrisch und unaufmerksam.

Eine absolute Frechheit beim Umgang mit Gästen. Das Personal beleidigt und ignoriert die eigenen Gäste. In naher Umgebung befinden sich deutlich bessere Restaurants.

We sat outside which is really nice - small square wirh adjacent shops and restaurants. Se services was a bit confused and slow. Some servers where nice but others a bit rude. I had the beet root risotto which looked - like sll the dishes really nice, but it was mushy and blant. The goat cheese on top was the only tasty thing about it. I can not comment on any other dishes. The beer was nice and cold though.
