Petit Bonheur in Hamburg

Wir waren das erste Mal im Petit Bonheur und waren von der ersten Minute an verzaubert. Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt und über den gesamten Abend hin überaus zuvorkommend bedient. Das Essen war hervorragend und das Ambiente hat uns sofort in unseren letzten Frankreichurlaub zurück versetzt. Wir waren definitiv nicht das letzte Mal dort.

Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen...auch wenn man alleine unterwegs ist Man wird herzlichst begrüßt, es gibt tolles Essen, eine sehr gute Weinauswahl und es wird eine rundum gelungene Wohlfühlatmosphäre erzeugt. Ich freue mich jedesmal wieder sehr auf den Besuch dort!

Ein wirklich wundervoller Abend im Petit Bonheur. Schon beim Betreten fühlt man sich eher wie in einem Restaurant in Paris als mitten in Hamburg. Das Restaurant hat unglaublich viel Charme, ist gemütlich, stilvoll und gleichzeitig angenehm unaufgeregt. Besonders die warmen Farben, das Licht und die vielen kleinen Details schaffen eine richtig schöne Atmosphäre. Auch kulinarisch hat der Abend total überzeugt. Das Mai-Menü war durchweg hervorragend. Besonders der Spargelsalat mit Katenschinken und glasierten Trauben sowie die perfekt gebratene Mai-Scholle mit Zitronen-Kapern-Butter waren echte Highlights. Zum Abschluss eine klassische Tarte Tatin, wunderbar karamellisiert und mit warmer Himbeer-Sauce serviert. Genau die Art von Küche, die nicht künstlich kompliziert sein muss, um richtig gut zu sein. Was den Abend aber wirklich besonders gemacht hat, war die Herzlichkeit im Service. Sehr aufmerksam, persönlich und mit einem unglaublich charismatischen Gastgeber, bei dem man sofort merkt, wie viel Leidenschaft in diesem Restaurant steckt. Definitiv ein Ort, an den ich sehr gerne zurückkehren werde.

Das Petit Bonheur war für uns ein rundum besonderer Abend. Selten erlebt man heute noch einen Service auf diesem Niveau: klassisch, aufmerksam, professionell und gleichzeitig herzlich und angenehm unaufgeregt. Genau diese Form von echter Gastfreundschaft macht den Besuch so besonders – schön, dass es so etwas noch gibt. Das Essen war herausragend. Jeder Gang wirkte bis ins Detail durchdacht, perfekt abgestimmt und handwerklich auf höchstem Niveau. Man merkt sofort, mit welchem Anspruch hier gekocht wird. Dazu eine wirklich exzellente Weinauswahl mit tollen Empfehlungen, die wunderbar zum Menü gepasst haben. Auch das Ambiente trägt enorm zum Erlebnis bei: stilvoll, klassisch französisch, elegant und trotzdem gemütlich. Kein aufgesetzter Luxus, sondern echte Atmosphäre mit Charakter. Ja, preislich definitiv im oberen Segment, aber angesichts der Qualität, des Services und des gesamten Abends absolut angemessen. Für besondere Anlässe oder einfach einen wirklich großartigen Restaurantbesuch eine klare Empfehlung.

Ein exzellentes Essen von Anfang bis Ende. So gut wie in jedem der mit einem Michelin-Stern ausgezeichneten Restaurants, die wir besucht haben. Meine Frau bestellte das 3-Gänge-Menü und einen Caesar Salad. Ich entschied mich für das 5-Gänge-Menü. Die Rechnung belief sich auf etwa 200 Euro, was wir angesichts der Qualität und Menge der Speisen, die perfekt zubereitet und aufmerksam serviert wurden, tatsächlich als günstig empfanden. Uns beiden schmeckten der Fisch vom Mai Place und die Bärlauchcremesuppe hervorragend. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Französisch ist selten, dazu stimmt einfach alles. Gut Geld ausgegeben, aber jeden Euro wert. Denn man geht in eine andere Welt. Viele „Nebensachen“ wie Zwiebelsuppe, Creme fraiche, Butter, Ketchup/mayo, Espresso usw. sind perfektioniert. Man lernt dann schnell bei jeder Speise und dem Service, dass es sitzt und diese Gewissheit lässt mich wiederkommen.

We've been to Hamburg so many times and only just discovered this fantastic restaurant. We ate there the evening before New Year's Eve and were absolutely delighted. The food was superb, the service excellent, incredibly polite, and very attentive. They always noticed when our glasses were empty and asked if we'd like a dessert wine with our chosen appetizer. We were greeted by the owner himself and, at his suggestion, were given a quieter table away from a larger group. Fantastic service! The ambiance is beautifully French and pleasant. The staff works calmly and professionally. We would definitely recommend Petit Bonheur and will certainly return on our next visit to Hamburg. Keep up the great work!

We've been there twice in a very short time. I don't understand how I could have lived in Hamburg for 11 years and never ended up here. The reviews are absolutely deserved. The food is truly outstanding, the service is very friendly, and the restaurant has a wonderful French flair. Whether for dinner or lunch (we've done both), it comes with my highest recommendation. The owner is incredibly friendly and attentive. I can wholeheartedly recommend that anyone visiting Hamburg eat here. We will definitely be back.

Hello, I've lived around the corner for 15 years and finally made it there last Friday. To cut to the chase, I'll be a regular now. The atmosphere was fantastic, the team incredibly competent yet friendly and relaxed, and the food was amazing. I had scallops as a starter, boneless roast goose leg, and sorbet for dessert. The accompanying wine was also delicious. A perfect evening all around! The price was more than justified. Thank you so much!

Wow!! We had such a wonderful evening at Petit Bonheur. From the moment we greeted you to the moment we left, the service was simply wonderful :) The food was delicious, and the onion soup and the Île flottante for a sweet finish were particularly impressive. The meal was certainly good, and the service was good too, but in my opinion, that doesn't justify the exorbitant prices. €45 for a plate of pasta with three shrimp is excessive. The crème brûlée for €13: OK, it's good, even if too sweet for my taste, but even in France, in very good restaurants, you pay €8 for it. A big drawback for me: the bread! It's frozen industrial bread. When I pay €100 per person, I expect everything to be of high quality. Being French, a good artisanal baguette has nothing to do with the bread served, and it spoils part of the experience, especially if you order cheese for dessert... One last little thing to correct on the menu because it's not quite right: grilled Lyon sausage, not grilled! In short, it's good, but expensive.

Petit Bonheur has quickly become my favorite spot in the city. Great food and fabulous drinks, along with unmistakable hospitality, make for a wonderful dining experience. If you're looking for a high-quality experience, you'll get your money's worth here.

We felt extremely welcome, and that from the chef himself, of course. Add to that fantastic cuisine and an inviting dining room. The atmosphere is truly perfect, and you feel like you're in France. The service is very well-coordinated, extremely attentive, and very friendly. There are great wines at fair prices, as well as high-quality wines whose value for money I can't judge. Some of the food is very expensive (bouillabaisse for 45), so we opted for the monthly menu (4 courses for 79). The dishes are presented in a relaxed atmosphere, and the service team begins with a baguette with French salami and whipped butter presented from a tray. In terms of quality, everything was fine, and the white tomato cream soup was a real delight. The braised ox cheek tasted excellent, but not as tender as I'd hoped.

This is a wonderful dinning experience. It is my first time to Harmburg,Germany. I search by myself from Google because I want to have a lunch in Michelle restaurant. Luckily I found that and I enjoy a very delicious dishes but the bill is around 50 Euro. I had a spaghetti dish ,dessert and tea. I hope all if you come here, please no hesitate to book it and enjoy a nice dinning. The environment of restaurant is very suitable for dating or group gathering.

Petit Bonheur – a hidden French gem with soul Petit Bonheur is not exactly in the most obvious location, but that is part of its charm. When you first step inside, you quickly realize that you have ended up in a very special place – a small French gem, hidden and intimate. The service is very good; welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. The food is truly delicious, prepared with care and with a clear love for French cuisine. Each dish is an experience in itself. The only small minus – if you can call it that – is that the portions are almost too generous. It takes away a bit of the exclusive feeling, but on the other hand, you definitely don’t go home hungry. Petit Bonheur is a place with soul and character, and it can definitely be recommended to anyone who wants a genuine and warm French dining experience.

Very friendly and welcoming, from the reservation to the farewell. We chose lunchtime (12:00 to 17:00!) to try it out and enjoyed the lunch for €20.00 each, including a coffee/tea specialty to finish, a top offer. Of course, we ordered a drink each, including a French beer and an Alster beer. Some bread and spreads/sliced ​​meats are served before and during the meal. Of course, you can order appetizers and wines, including champagne, but we skipped that. Currently, there are two lunch options, which change monthly, in June 2025: 1. 250g asparagus with potatoes, hollandaise sauce, and a choice of ham or fish; 2. Tagiatelle with truffles. The asparagus, side dish, and fish were very good; the tagiatelle came with a generous amount of white(!) truffle, also very tasty. Both were quite filling, contrary to the common misconception about French cuisine. The quality was excellent and would have been appropriate for a wedding anniversary. For dessert, we ordered one and two scoops of sorbet ice cream. The blackcurrant ice cream was fantastic, and the mandarin orange and strawberry were also delicious. With our final coffees, we paid around €61.00, tipped around €9.00, and the total for the two of us was €70.00. A wonderful experience, with French chansons by Charlez Aznavour and a spacious, beautiful ambiance. What impressed us most was the genuine warmth. We felt welcome throughout and received excellent service, and we stayed for a long time because the timing and location were perfect. Oh yes: it has been awarded several times by the Michelin Guide.

Found a French restaurant with an ultra-high rating of 4.8 on Google Maps, which I definitely had to check out. The restaurant had plenty of empty seats on a weekday, so it seems walk-ins are fine on regular days. The decor is very Moulin Rouge style? The overall environment is great, perfect for dating. The menu has a ton of choices, everything looked delicious. We ordered three appetizers for two people 😅. Must-try French baked snails, their snails are really super juicy! The garlic butter sauce is incredibly fragrant, and it's super tasty with bread (btw, their butter is also delicious, even I, someone who doesn't like bread, enjoyed it). The appetizer naturally couldn't miss foie gras, with two slices in a plate, perfect for sharing. The foie gras is pan-fried to a crisp outside and tender inside, paired with their rich sauce, it's really amazing. The plate also came with a mushroom-shaped small bread, which is also super tasty! We also ordered a bowl of French onion soup for the appetizer, all French specialties, no sharing, I didn't taste it, but the other person said it was very good. For the main course, I ordered the dry-aged filet 'Café de Paris', the beef was very tender, especially with the unique French sauce, rich and mellow. Unfortunately, their Café de Paris looks different from others in terms of plating, I prefer the kind served on an iron plate with butter sauce underneath, which looks more appetizing. The other person ordered quail for the main course, incredibly tender! After the meal, we saw a cheese trolley and chose cheese instead of dessert. The waiter recommended three special cheeses, tried both soft and hard, paired with jam, we happily wrapped up this French meal. We chose a red wine costing over 150 euros, but honestly, I couldn't tell the difference, it was a waste for me, and he had a headache the next day 😅. Without wine, it would be enough for about 100 euros per person.

The three of us arrived, the youngest member of the family just a few weeks old, and were welcomed as if we'd been regular customers for years. No frowns, no "Will the baby fit here?", but a disarming smile and the simple sentence: "Your child is welcome here." This spirit of the Grande Nation permeates the entire afternoon. The interior: subtly Parisian, without clichés. The cuisine: a quiet triumph of French craftsmanship. Everything essential has already been said about the dishes in other reviews – they are impeccably composed, punctually seasoned, a harmonious crescendo from appetizer to dessert. A highlight that shouldn't be missed is the crêpe Suzette, prepared at your table. The owner – as charming as a boulevardier on the Left Bank – flambés with a sure hand, letting the orange liqueur flare up in a delicate blue hue. The result: arguably the best Crêpe Suzette in Hamburg, perhaps even Germany. Conclusion Eating here is like traveling to France without leaving the Elbe. Exquisite cuisine, an authentic atmosphere, and a warmth that understands even the crying of a newborn as the music of life. If you want to experience the sound of hospitality at its finest, you should reserve a table – and a Crêpe Suzette. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back!

We once again had the pleasure of enjoying our 2025 Brain Storming kick-off dinner in this wonderful French restaurant and it was once again an absolutely great experience that we have been able to enjoy for the 10th year now. The owner, a charismatic and incredibly warm Turkish man, delighted us again with exquisite cuisine prepared at the highest level. The perfect symbiosis of French finesse and a touch of oriental hospitality creates an incomparable ambience. Each dish was a work of art in itself - from the starter to the dessert. It's been two weeks since our first visit to Petit Bonheur, but I feel the need to thank you for a really wonderful evening. Although we came with a dog and an 8-year-old child, which didn't necessarily mean a lot of consumption, we were warmly welcomed by the manager of the house and shown to our seat, from which we had a good overview of the restaurant, which was furnished in a classic bistro style . Aperitif and French salami as a welcome and to combat the first hunger pangs were well received by everyone. We had the winter menu once and a la carte once and a half. The fact that our son wanted the tartare was met with some surprise but very positively. But he also really enjoyed it and our request for small plates to share with the family was happily accommodated. In addition to the tartare, particularly recommended: the scallops and the fish soup! We had extremely good experiences at Petit Bonheur. The reception was very friendly, from the very beginning it was conveyed: “You are welcome”. The service is unobtrusive but quick and the dishes are very tasty. The Crèpe Suzette for dessert rounded off the evening perfectly. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

Lunch time. Inconspicuous side street and then surprisingly bright, tidy and very French-friendly the restaurant with white-covered tables. The nice waiter came to the table with a menu and recommendations. Quick fresh baguette and drinks. Fresh lettuce of the day with a fine vinaigrette. Good open wines and very good fish cooked to perfection. Discreetly friendly questions in between. And the whole thing is really affordable. This is how I imagine a sophisticated restaurant.

St. Nicolas meant very well to us on St. Nicholas Day today. In the dreary weather we landed in France for culinary delights. Exclusive, not exaggerated service with excellent cuisine and a very good selection of wines. Friendly people who are looked after very lovingly by an equally friendly maître, whose love for his restaurant is evident. An absolute culinary experience. We would like to thank you again very much Mr. Uysal and his team and we will definitely come back!

We received a very friendly welcome in this cozy and very well-kept French restaurant. The menu contains a number of interesting and sometimes unusual dishes. The quality of the food was excellent. We felt very comfortable here.

We went there for our wedding anniversary and it was fantastic. Very attentive, friendly and professional service, best onion soup we've ever had. Excellent scallop. The main courses were to die for. Finally, a great crème brûlée. Thank you for this lovely experience.

Pretentious and inauthentic (Almost) nothing is right here. But above all not the price/performance. Linguine and ravioli at the 50 euro limit where you had to meticulously search for the lobster, better prepared at every Italian restaurant. An amuse bouche that wasn't... Certainly our last visit

The only French where a slice of hard sausage is called ameuse bouche and pasta costs 48 euros

Had a menu of turnip soup with blood sausage as a starter and goose leg with red cabbage and dumplings - sensational. Wine accompaniment is very suitable and very nice ambience and the staff tried hard - it is only not for beer drinkers - the French bottled beer is too fruity and special and the Warsteiner on tap is rather lame and stale. Was invited, so no price statement possible, but definitely a recommendation for an upscale dinner.

What can you say? A French restaurant as you would imagine, with top cuisine and great service. We spent four hours there. It seemed like two to us. It's a shame that time flies so quickly during beautiful moments. A great evening! Absolutely recommended.
