Extrem unfreundliches Personal, kein Hallo kein tschüss. Sehr sehr schlechter Service. Nie wieder.

Sehr freundliches Team und fantastisches Essen. Wer auf der Suche nach einem entspanntem Abend bei sehr gutem Essen und Wein ist, ist hier genau richtig

Wir waren mittags dort. Kleine Karte, tolle Auswahl, super lecker mit tollen Aromen, Ambiente und Service waren für uns auch exzellent. Deswegen unser Dank an die Küche und den Service. Wir kommen wieder...

Der Service war super und das Essen ist sehr lecker. Die Vorspeise“Panisse“ ist unser Favorit. Abzug gibt es leider für das Ambiente, es war sehr unangenehm, dass sogar in den engen und hinteren Bereich des Restaurants Bettler hereinkommen oder vom Service hereingelassen werden: Jeder wird eigentlich nach einer Reservierung am Eingang gefragt und dann stehen plötzlich diese aufdringlichen Personen vor einem und bleiben sogar vor dem Tisch direkt vor uns stehen, um zum Geldspenden aufzufordern. Das trübt das Erlebnis. Besonders bei den gehobenen Preisen wünscht man sich solche unangenehme Momente nicht, sondern mehr ungestörte Atmosphäre. Einige mehr vegetarische Hauptgerichte wäre ebenfalls wünschenswert. Liebe Grüße!

Der Abend war einfach perfekt. Vom Betreten des Restaurants, über den Service am Tisch, bis hin zum Verabschieden waren die Mitarbeiterinnen sehr herzlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war unfassbar lecker, vor allem das Steak Tartare und der geflämmte Lachs. Mein Mann und ich gehen mehrfach im Monat essen und erleben selten ein Restaurant in dem wirklich alles auf den Punkt ist. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder :)

Die Atmosphäre hat durchaus einen gewissen französischen Flair. Der Service ist freundlich, allerdings etwas langsam – zwischen Bestellung und Servieren des Essens mussten wir etwa 25 Minuten warten. Was mich jedoch wirklich enttäuscht hat, war das sogenannte „Tartare“. In Wirklichkeit handelte es sich um durchgegartes Hackfleisch – eher wie ein McDonald’s-Burgerpatty ohne Brötchen als um ein echtes Tatar. Ich dachte zunächst, das sei ein Scherz. Schade, denn die Erwartungen waren deutlich höher.

Es war super gut, das Essen war hervorragend und auch der Service super. Nicht billig,aber in jedem Fall den Preis wert.

Gutes französisches Ambiente, schöne Atmosphäre, der Service war okay. Die Hauptspeisen waren leider durchschnittlich und der Preis dafür absolut unangebracht. Das Dessert war dafür umso besser aber dennoch viel zu teuer. Eine vegane Variante von Boeuf Bourguignon ist eine sehr gute Idee, allerdings viel zu einfallslos und lieblos umgesetzt. Insgesamt waren die Gerichte sehr wenig gewürzt und geschmacklich nicht überzeugend. Auf die Bouillabaise hatten wir uns gefreut allerdings war sie auch eher enttäuschend. Wir haben französische Qualität Geschmackstiefe sehr vermisst aber sehr viel Geld bezahlt.

Ich habe mich in diesem gemütlichen Lokal sehr wohlgefühlt, die Leute sind sehr nett und das Essen hat mich wirklich glücklich gemacht.

Gemütlich, hochwertig, ideal für Paare Kleines, sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit wirklich leckerer Küche und guten Weinen. Preise sind hoch, aber der persönliche, herzliche Service macht es absolut passend. Perfekt für ein schönes Dinner zu zweit – klare Empfehlung.

Sehr schönes, authentisched Bistro mit aufmerksamen Service. Die Gerichte war erstklassig - frische Austern, eine Bouillabaisse und als Hauptspeise ein tolles Boeuf Bourguignon. Ich werde wiederkommen. Dann hoffentlich bei sommerlichen Temperaturen zum Draußensitzen.

The restaurant has gone downhill significantly. The food is now only mediocre, and we weren't impressed with the service at all. The prices are far too high for what you get. We probably won't be back. UPDATE: My review of their restaurant focused on the quality of their service. I deliberately didn't mention that their homeless neighbors are invited to eat there.

Wonderful French restaurant. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent.

It was great. Excellent shoulder of beef, modern vegetarian interpretations, a pleasant atmosphere, and good wines. The prices are on the high side, but the value is still outstanding. I shouldn't really be writing this review, as it's a real insider tip. We'll definitely be back.

Authentic ambiance. The food has become expensive and unfortunately not convincing. The beef is tough, the vegetables are too salty. The French fries are bland instead of golden and crispy. We were charged a flat rate for two drinks, for carbonated tap water. The service was friendly and attentive.

The Bistro Carmagnole in Hamburg's Schanze district is a wonderful place for a little French excursion. A particularly positive aspect: the attentive and truly excellent service. The culinary highlights are the vegan interpretations of classic meat dishes like tartar – creative, detailed, and excitingly executed. I found the prices for the food a bit high, but the drinks (aperitifs and digestifs) were absolutely fair. I didn't try any meat dishes this time, so I can't comment on them. It was nice: We were able to relax and sample the menu, received friendly advice, and there was no time pressure due to time slots that were about to expire. Overall, a great evening in an authentic atmosphere – definitely worth a visit.

A charming little bistro with lots of flair. Extremely friendly service, fast and attentive. My Holstein heifer steak was cooked to perfection, the salad was crisp and fresh with a delicious vinaigrette, and the French fries were crispy. I was early, but it quickly filled up later on, so reservations are recommended.

Top-notch on all fronts. Exceptionally good food, super delicious flavors. A very welcoming atmosphere and restaurant, and very friendly service. Highly recommended if you're visiting Hamburg!

The restaurant has excellent cuisine with great wines. But I've rarely experienced such uncharming service in such a high-quality restaurant as at Bistro Carmagnole. After 1.5 hours, I asked for the dessert menu. When it was handed to me, I was told to hurry with my selection, otherwise time would be tight. I was a bit unsettled by this, as I couldn't imagine the kitchen closing just before 8 p.m. When the waitress asked me a minute later with a demanding look whether I wanted to order anything else, my companions and I politely declined, as she made it clear to us that the table should be cleared for additional guests. When I politely asked if we could at least finish our 1/3 full bottle of wine, she simply explained in rather brief sentences that we could remain seated until the new guests arrived. After another three minutes, the waitress came uninvited with the bill and asked if "all of it together?!" In that short time, we certainly consumed quite a bit of food. This cold, uncharming way of getting guests to leave so that their tight reservation schedule for the evening can be met is, in my opinion, more than inappropriate for a supposedly high-quality restaurant. I'm happy to spend more money for a good restaurant experience, but then I expect professionalism from the guests, not just on the plate. I won't be making a reservation here again, despite the excellent cuisine, sophisticated preparation of the ingredients, and beautiful ambiance.

You're immersed in a different place in the Schanze. The staff is very courteous and friendly, but not intrusive. The decor is tasteful and cozy. It's a bit more expensive, but you get an exceptional atmosphere plus good food in exchange for money for an experience.

Cute Bistro with relaxed vibe and authentic French food!

We were there for lunch today. Both the lamb sausages and the redfish with mashed potatoes and fresh spinach were exquisite. We were served by one of the lovely Greek women and felt completely at home. The high level of service is hard to beat anywhere else. And the prices for lunch were still quite reasonable, and the table water was even very reasonable.

We had great food with a classic french cuisine. All through good with nice starters, mains and a great espresso martini. Maybe a little pricy but if you are longing for French food this is the place!

I was there for lunch. It was very good. I looked at the dinner menu, and I'm definitely going there to try some of the items on the menu, which you can almost tell from the start that everything is freshly prepared.

It's actually a good place, but the reservation policy is special. So I'll just go somewhere else.

An authentic, small French bistro/restaurant with a wonderful and unique selection of dishes and wines. The oysters and beetroot soup were delicious. The steak tartare was also good. It was just a shame that we couldn't order dessert due to time constraints, as our table had to be prepared for the next group. We were a bit late, so our slot was even shorter. However, this is generally a bit tight for connoisseurs. Nevertheless, we'd be happy to come back!

We were there with a larger group and had a smaller room in the back. It was really great! The food was delicious, the service attentive and friendly, and the drinks were also absolutely amazing. All in all, a fantastic location.

We had an exceptionally delicious team meal here. I was (unfortunately) unfamiliar with the restaurant beforehand. We were there on a Friday evening with seven colleagues. The restaurant was very busy, so making a reservation in advance is recommended. Service was excellent. The food was excellent. I like good food, and I wasn't disappointed here. I had the oysters and tartar for starters, and the lamb for main course. Everything was delicious. But the oysters and tartar were a pure delight. Unfortunately, I didn't have room for dessert. But from what I heard and saw, the dessert was also perfect. You'll be well-filled with two or three courses here. That's the concept here. One main course isn't enough if you're very hungry. But in my opinion, you only get the full experience with the starter and main course. And I would especially like to emphasize the service here. We were treated very attentively and courteously. And in terms of price-performance ratio, you can definitely eat more expensively in Hamburg with the same quality.

As always, the food was outstanding, service was also A1 and a very nice restaurant overall. Highly recommended! Lunch was coq au vin and redfish fillet - it took a little longer for lunch, but it was worth the wait!

An authentic restaurant in which a great team ensures very good service. The cuisine is excellent, the food is extremely delicious. Good quality has its price and it is appropriate here. People who are very hungry may find the portions too small.

Goosebumps while eating... ... I've never had it before, but the starter (vegan tartare) and the main course (assorted beef) were from another planet 🥳. Very attentive service, a manageable but interesting selection of vegetarian and fish options. Our table was basically in the passageway, so I couldn't relax 100%, I wanted to eat a little like I was in ice cream, but -1* The food was quite tasty. More for an upscale lunch than dinner imo. The wine selection was not convincing at all.

Worst steak tartare in my life! A real affront!

Food is OK. Unfortunately we were charged for things we didn't order (starter, wine). We also think the water flat rate for €4.50 is a rip-off, as one bottle of water is often enough for 2-4 people, but if everyone drinks water, the restaurant charges each person €4.50. We were just planning on coming back. However, we will now refrain from giving Bistro Carmagnole a second chance. All that remains is a bitter aftertaste.

I haven't been to Carmagnole for a while, and what can I say: very disappointing! Here, too, quality no longer takes precedence over quantity. I had the worst mussels ever. Hardly any brew, which was advertised as delicious as Pernod brew. And then à la fin the shameful result of many closed shells on the ground. Let's be honest, for 28 euros it's a disgrace. The mussels went back and as a French woman I completely lost my appetite At least as a gesture of goodwill we received dessert. I was there for the last time today.

The 5 stars are well spent here: very good food, charming, fast, competent service and the food is a taste experience. As soon as I crossed the threshold, I immediately felt like I was in France

I like the Carmagnole. I also like the selection for lunch. I think the beef minute steak doesn't correspond to the rest of the quality. 2 millimeters thicker and a little more delicate, then I would have been very happy. So I was a little disappointed. I think that can be improved.

The atmosphere is great - service too, but unfortunately the price/performance ratio of the food doesn't match at all! Had the eggplant as the main course - a vegetarian main course that was nothing special at all for 28 euros and unfortunately didn't taste good either... What a shame

We once again had a wonderful evening in the Carmagnole. The steak tartare was perfect and the Salade Nicoise took you straight to the Mediterranean.

A pearl in the Schanzenviertel! We love this small and wonderful restaurant. The food is always great and the service is excellent. This proves once again that good service at the table is also possible in shorts and Doc Martens. We love. We would come more often if the (very fine) menu offered more variety in the dishes. One request: don't forget the meat eaters. :)

Very tasty food and incredibly friendly staff.

I recently visited Carmagnole and was impressed by some aspects while others left me disappointed. Service: The service is truly outstanding. The staff ensures that you always feel comfortable and well taken care of. There is absolutely nothing to criticize here. Food: The dishes are top-notch crafted with great skill and taste absolutely on point. The modern French cuisine is celebrated here. My main course the Japanese eggplant for 29 euros was very delicious and well-prepared. Prices: I fully understand that labor costs and inflation force restaurants to adjust prices. However, I feel that this has been taken too far here. A bottle of Cremant for 60 euros, which is five times the retail price, feels a bit excessive. Also, an artichoke starter for 28 euros is ambitious. Overall, a mixed experience: excellent service and superb cuisine, but the prices left me somewhat deterred.

One of my favorite restaurants in Hamburg. I go there regularly and yesterday we had another lovely evening with the seven of us. Delicious food, nice service, great cocktails as an aperitif.

For me the price-performance ratio is no longer right. Food is nothing special...weird...Mille-Feuille for 14 euros and not authentic...Both main courses ordinary...a shame

For your information, they are now open at lunchtime until 2:30 p.m. and serve great, delicious food.

The Carmagnole is a small oasis in the hustle and bustle of the ski jump. And an oasis of enjoyment, that starts with the cloth napkins, the classic French menu and the colorful crowd that is not at all grumpy. The team is top, those working at the front had a wonderful sense of humor and had all the answers they needed about the cuisine, ingredients and drinks. We had a very wonderful and lovely evening yesterday. The atmosphere is very cozy and you feel comfortable. The food is a 10/10 and the artichoke was particularly tasty and surprisingly good. For my main course I had the tartare, which was exceptionally good. I can highly recommend! The service was attentive and nice. We would like to come again.

I've wanted to go for a long time and was not disappointed. The division into two smaller rooms makes it seem very cozy and creates a quiet atmosphere. The bouillabaisse was very good and the wine selection matched it. A small but nice menu and also plenty for vegetarians. The service was attentive and pleasantly genuine. As a plus, only card payment.

Unfortunately overpriced in the meantime, we are still talking about a restaurant in the area, the red Flora... nice service, but an eternal wait for the individual courses, bouillabaisse reminded me more of a tomato soup with fish. Good flat rate for mineral water. Ambience as usual.
