PETER PANE Burgergrill & Bar in Köln

Our visit to this restaurant was unfortunately very disappointing. We felt uncomfortable right from the start, as the waitress – a rather overweight woman – spoke to us in an unfriendly tone and even interrupted us mid-order. The atmosphere was unpleasant throughout our entire stay, as there was neither friendliness nor attentiveness. What struck us as particularly negative was that the waitress later gossiped about us with other staff members because we hadn't left a tip – even though we are still students. To make matters worse, she simply took the tip for herself without saying a word or even saying goodbye when we left. The rest of the service was also rather mediocre, and the benches were very hard and uncomfortable, which made the experience even more unpleasant. Overall, a disappointing experience – neither the service nor the staff's behavior justifies a return visit, so I would not recommend this place.

A really fun and delicious little restaurant for burgers. There's something for everyone, and you can choose your own bun. Lots of tasty side dishes with various sauce options. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The decor, right down to the placemat on the table, matches the restaurant's name. The wooden poles with ropes, from which lanterns hang, create a very atmospheric atmosphere! I would definitely go back here the next time I'm in Cologne!

Yeah. They're hamburgers, and I couldn't choose the bun for my burger, even though it was advertised as an option. The food tasted good, but that wasn't a nice touch!

Friendly service and cleanliness, but disappointing value for money and menu layout! This was my first and, unfortunately, my last visit to Peter Pan. Positives: The restaurant is very clean, and the service was extremely friendly. The atmosphere was inviting, even though I personally didn't particularly like the many benches without backrests. A big plus is the freely available sauces (ketchup, mayonnaise, a French fry sauce), as well as a vegan version of Ketchup Zero, salt, and pepper, which are available everywhere on the tables. Criticisms: Unfortunately, I was not at all impressed by the food and the value for money, which is my main reason for visiting the restaurant. * Menu and prices: The menu layout is unnecessarily complicated, and the prices are far too high for what is offered. * Portion size: The portions are very small, making the value for money a disaster. * Double Chili Smash Burger: My "Double Chili Smash Burger" was very reminiscent of a standard double hamburger from a well-known fast-food chain ("Golden Seagull"), but at a much higher price and with significantly more sauce. The promised spiciness of the chili burger was far from there for me. * Sauce prices: I also find the prices for special dipping sauces like guacamole (almost €2) simply too high for the quantity and the addition to fries. Conclusion: Although the service is very friendly and the environment seems clean, Peter Pan didn't convince me due to the unsatisfactory food quality compared to the high prices and small portions. I go out primarily for the food, and this was a huge disappointment.

Very chic shop, but I waited forever for my order to be taken. Also, on Sundays, they didn't serve any food after 8/8:30 p.m. because the kitchen closed. Two hours before closing time.

Simply fantastic – thanks to Mussie! We were at Peter Pane in Cologne and I have to say: The evening was amazing – especially thanks to Mussie! Such a friendly, attentive, and cheerful employee is truly worth his weight in gold. He took great care of us, was incredibly welcoming, and simply made us feel completely at home. He's the reason we go there again and again! The food was delicious, as always, but Mussie's service was the highlight! You can tell he puts his heart and soul into his job. Please keep him, because people like him make such an incredible difference! 🙌

Well located, with plenty of parking. Very friendly and attentive service. The burgers were consistently delicious, and the side plates were also good and plentiful. Unfortunately, the seats aren't very comfortable and don't have a backrest (but that might be my age 😉). Would definitely go again.👍

Positive: The location is great and the staff is friendly. But that's about it. Most important: They only offer monster premium prices for frozen food. It's a disgrace that you leave the store still hungry afterward... The burgers: When I took the first bite, I thought, "Is this even beef?" The meat was overcooked and tasted of nothing – pure frozen food. A slap in the face, and then a hefty bill! The fries: The portions are a joke. My four-year-old son wasn't full and had to eat from my plate. Really? To the owner: There's no pardon or excuse for why you serve frozen food. I don't go to a pizza place just to get a frozen pizza! You have to have a deep drink to find this tasty. Conclusion: No thanks. Peter, bye-bye, never again.

You can skip the "E" in Pane and the visit there. The food was delicious, but we didn't think the prices were justified. €9.90 for a portion of sweet potato fries is pretty steep. The prices of the drinks, however, were absolutely justified for their size. Our server was extremely stressed and seemed to be alone. I assume she was just having a bad day and doesn't always serve customers the way she did us. The food and cutlery were practically smashed onto the table, people rolled their eyes, and fries only arrived when we asked for them, after we had finished eating. The ambiance could also be improved. The lamps hang in your eyes, and the tables for four people are very small. The vegan nuggets didn't seem vegan either; they tasted and looked like chicken nuggets.

We were here for the first time yesterday and we really enjoyed it ♡♡♡ My companion had the "Legend Burger" as a menu item and it was simply delicious 😋 The only thing is that the garlic sauce could have used a bit more garlic 😉 I had the Thanksgiving salad with roasted chicken strips and that was also delicious 😋 I found the ambiance absolutely appealing, the music was good, albeit a bit loud, and the service was excellent 👍🏻 We'll definitely be back 😍✌🏻💖😎

Oliwia was the highlight of our trip!

The food arrived cold. The price-performance ratio shows that they put a lot of effort into advertising and little into quality. The waiters were unfriendly and stressed. A filming was taking place, and everyone was focused on it and not on the guests. It was all just for videos, not for actual guests.

The staff is incredibly friendly; I would come back again and again just for the service. I've always loved the food at Peter Pane, but lately I've felt like the meat has changed, and above all, gotten worse. I highly recommend the thirst quenchers in all their varieties and the (sweet potato) fries. The cake and dessert are also delicious.

We ate at Peter Pane yesterday and were served by Oliwia, who was incredibly kind. Since it started to rain during our outdoor dinner, she immediately offered us a seat inside and helped us pack everything. The food was excellent, as always.

We ate here two weeks ago. The fries were okay. Nothing to complain about. However, the burgers were truly terrible. The meat was incredibly tough (yes, frozen patties – but not even McDonald's or Burger King can cook them that well). Of course, you can't serve frozen food medium, but the quality is truly substandard. The cheese on my burger (Double Smash) was a joke. The cheese slice wasn't even 50% of the patty's surface area. The onion dominated the flavor anyway. I specifically ordered it without a pickle. Of course, the burger came with a pickle. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she just smiled wearily and said the kitchen probably couldn't manage it. Don't tell me...🧐 Considering how much the burgers cost and what you get served, I'll steer clear of this place in the future and definitely won't recommend it to anyone. I'm "glad" I had a voucher. That would have been a real pain otherwise. It's a real shame, actually. Others show that things can be much better. The coolest thing, though, are the junkies and homeless people from Friesenplatz who freshen up in the restrooms there, and women are reluctant to go there. A no-go for me, and the staff should take care of that.

I can recommend other Pane restaurants, but not this one. The first time the waitress dropped her food, it can happen. That can happen, and according to the waitress, this was the first time it had happened to her. What's not unfortunate, however, is that no one cleaned up afterward: the sauce and burger pieces were lying in the aisle. While I was waiting for the food, I noticed that no one had cleaned the floor and the bench there. Later, the replacement arrived, and I asked the (other) waitress to take care of the "accident." Aside from all that, the food was moderately good, the drinks were well-priced, and the service was accommodating and friendly. When I left the restaurant, the sauce was still on the floor and the bench. Conclusion: Nice service, but they take a little longer to fix mistakes.
