Towards the end of the day the waitress got tired of it… and holed up behind the counter…. You could see really well from the outside area 🤣🤣... the potion was just available somewhere else 🥂✔️

My beef steaks and fillets there were always prepared to perfection. Friendly staff, good location near the market. Top address.

We'll be back after the lockdown. Today on January 12th, 2022 another great feast and an extremely nice waitress. We'd love to come back.

To put it in three words: Under all guns. There are two kinds of beans on the menu... French beans with smoked bacon were just fine, but kidney beans in tomato paste, that's where it really ends. And if you don't have a reservation, you have to sit outside... 2024???

We came here several days in a row. Food and drinks were very good and friendly and attentive service.

It was also difficult for me to get an inside seat. Strange distribution of space. Good range of food, good taste and rich. Unfortunately everything was only lukewarm. Staff was quite quick. For me there will be no repeat there.

The service was very nice and friendly. The food was very tasty and fresh. The only thing is that my Kassler steak in the pan was a bit dry and hard, which was due to the Kassler back steak, which has no fat. Maybe swap it for Kassler neck, then it would be juicier and more tender. All in all, a decent performance, keep it up!

There were ten people there - the place was pretty empty - we weren't allowed to sit inside (only possible with a reservation, although many tables were free) and there was no seating for 10 people outside, we weren't allowed to put tables together and no help was given. Staff unfriendly and not accommodating at all. Then we went to the Augustiner at the market, the staff there was very helpful and friendly :).

NO GO. Wochentags MITTWOCH um 21:00 keinerlei Küche, trotz „durchgehender warmer Küche“ Werbung und Betrieb rund ums Rathaus. Unmöglich!

Were at the Pepperhouse today, what can I say, I'm disappointed. Had the so-called "sausage plate" you would think otherwise what was coming, a plate with a few Schupfnudeln, some sauerkraut and 5 small bratwursts, a joke!!! According to the menu I had “pork medallions”. Emphasis on the S. I assume there is a little more on the plate. No, a tiny medallion! My cocktail Caipi was like mop water. Conclusion rip off! Zero taste!

The place was very empty. The service employee was nice. The food wasn't my thing at all, the pasta with prawns and pesto was swimming in fat and I had to look for the 5 prawns. If I hadn't been with my parents I would have let it go back but the old people don't like that. I ate the leftovers from their plates. When the cellar was being cleared, I mentioned my bad food but nothing came except I'm sorry. I wouldn't eat there again

The cuisine offers something for every taste and ranges between good home cooking and somewhat upscale cuisine. The service is good, but could pay a little more attention to empty glasses. In this location, the outdoor seating area offers a beautiful view for social studies.

We ate there yesterday in a larger group. Overall, the food was pretty bland and unconvincing. The service was completely satisfactory and friendly, the ambience outside is not the nicest, but the inside area looks a bit inviting, hence the three stars. Our conclusion was that we wouldn't go there again for food.

Die Bedienung (Mitte 50, dunkle Haare bis zur Schulter, Stab Ohrpiercing) war sehr unfreundlich, als ich nach einem anderen Tisch gefragt hatte, da sie uns, obwohl viel frei war, in den hinteren dunklen Durchgang setzen wollte. Hey, dann sollte man ganz normal antworten und nicht so grimmig mit einer Geste abtun. Der andere Kellner war dann sehr freundlich.

There were two of us and we got a place without a reservation. It was pretty full, but the drinks arrived quickly. However, we waited 40 minutes for the food. The three waiters were all very friendly, even if they seemed stressed at times. The food was very tasty, just German home cooking.

We spontaneously met up with friends for lunch. Food was good and plentiful. We received friendly service and had a lovely stay in the restaurant.

Unfortunately the worst service and food I've had so far. An Argentinian rump steak was ordered. 200g for 29 euros After more than an hour it happened. Now you think that the wait must be worth it, but unfortunately once again it's a disappointment. In terms of taste, the steak was simply weak, and of course overcooked... Unfortunately, it was the worst thing I've ever been served. There were fries that tasted like absolutely nothing. Nothing more, neither a salad nor some herb butter. Absolutely unreasonable for the price. If I hadn't been hungry, which drove it into me, it would definitely have been returned! No recommendation!

The place is an insider tip for visitors to Leipzig. Special and friendly staff, great advice and prompt service. Food tastes good, no long waiting times, requests are tried to be taken into account. Unfortunately you forgot the extra sauce for one dish😉 All in all a great location with a cool team.

My turkey steak wasn't cooked through, unfortunately I noticed that too late, so I had food poisoning after the visit. However, the service was friendly. Don't come back.

My children would like to try a real steak and since it was our birthday, we took advantage of it to eat here. Service is completely fine, the staff is friendly. Saturday at lunchtime, reserve a table in advance. You will be met at the entrance and shown to the table. The steak was medium rare and perfect. The children were also excited. The price is also reasonable, unfortunately I can't confirm the bad reviews. Everyone is nice and friendly, paying by card is no problem either.

A relatively quite Monday, I imagine but the food, beer and service was brilliant.

I had the 300g Argentine rump steak, french fries and hot pepper sauce and three glasses of Schöfferhofer beer. I've had a long frustrating day having driven from Berlin but this meal more than made up for it.

It was an atmosphere, like in an Italian cellar :). We ordered pizza with artichokes and olives. The price was okay, from the price of 14,90 €. Still it was average and not the delicious pizza as you would expect. The waiter was very nice though. The good thing was that the place was not crowded at all.

Waren kurz vor Weihnachten, im Pepoerhouse gewesen, dieses liegt nähe Marktplatz von Leipzig. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich & rusikal eingerichtet,das Essen ist sehr schmackhaft. Das Preis & Leistungsverhältnis , entspricht meistens der Realität. Die Weine sind gut ., hatte einen leiblichen Rotwein gehabt . Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.👍

Sehr guter Service und leckeres Essen Wir sind beim Weihnachtsmarktbesuch in Leipzig durch Zufall auf das Pepperhouse aufmerksam geworden und haben uns gleich für den folgenden Tag eine Tisch reserviert. Dort angekommen bekamen wir ein seehr ruhiges Plätzchen zugeiwiesen und fühlten uns direkt wohl. Die Karte ist sehr ansprechend. Die Kellern waren Top und nach kurzer Zeit wurde unsere Bestellung aufgenommen und die Getränke wurden trz hohen Gästeaufkommens und wenig Personal direkt gebracht. Das bestellte Essen war auch recht zügig da und es war sau lecker. Einzigster Kritikpunkt war die grüne Paprika im Essen trotz Hinweis meinerseits das ich allergisch dagegen bin, aber das wurde schnell geregelt. Zusammenfassend ein deutlich bessere Auswahl als am Tag zuvor.

Pizza war gut,Salat das Dressing mußte ich suchen, Bedienung war gestresst und ließ es an den Besuchern aus.

Wir besuchen dieses Restaurant regelmäßig, wenn wir in Leipzig sind. Nur diesmal war es ein totaler Reinfall. Am 07.12. waren wir wieder in Leipzig und wollten unser Lieblingsrestaurant besuchen. Nur leider war die Kellnerin alles andere als freundlich. Ihr Kollege hat uns empfangen und uns einen Tisch zugewiesen, darüber war seine Kollegin schon einmal nicht erfreut. Wahrscheinlich war es ihr Bereich und hatte keine Lust auf mehr Gäste. Da wir nun mit Baby sind, haben wir gebeten ein Gläschen erwärmt zubekommen. War nicht möglich, da es keine Mikrowelle und keine freie Herdplatte für ein Wasserbad gab. Wir fragten nach einem Kloß mit etwas Soße. Die Antwort lautete, das dieser aber 25 Minuten dauert. Um einer weiteren Diskussion mit dieser unfreundlichen Bedienung aus dem Weg zugehen, lehnte ich dankend ab und bestellte eine Kartoffelsuppe, die übrigens sehr zu empfehlen ist, wo mein Kind schließlich mit essen konnte. Ein Hochstühlchen wurde uns auch nicht angeboten, also nahm ich mein Kind auf den Schoß. Aber wahrscheinlich gibt es keine in diesem Kinderunfreundlichem Restaurant, denn eine Wickelmöglichkeit gab es auch nicht. Also ist unser Fazit, das wir nach all den zufriedenen Jahren nun mit Kind dieses Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen. In anderen Restaurants hat es uns auch schon geschmeckt.

Wir waren zum Abendessen hier und waren insgesamt soweit zufrieden. Ich saß bisher nur im Freisitz und diesmal im Lokal und fand das Ambiente für mich persönlich nicht so ansprechend. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war gut und wir sind satt geworden.

Wir waren spontan zum Freitag Abend da, und bekamen glücklicherweise einen Tisch. Die Auswahl sehr gut sowie die Qualität der Speisen. Wir haben uns für ein Filet Steak und ein Rumpsteak entschieden und wollten es medium rare und es war ganz grosse Klasse.

War zu Besuch in Leipzig. Habe das Lokal im Vorbeigehen öfter gesehen und habe dann zugeschlagen. Super nettes Personal, angenehmes Ambiente und das essen war wirklich nicht schlecht. Der Preis ist der aktuellen Situation üblich. Kann man definitiv erneut Besuchen

Telefonisch sagte man uns.. keine Reservierung, einfach vorbeikommen und schauen ob was frei wär. Also los vom Hotelzimmer in die Stadt. Sehr nette Bedienung, Tisch draussen. Gegenüber am Hotel zwar die Poser mit ihren Karren.. Klappenauspuff auf und alle beschallen mit dem geliehenen Lambo... und dann losfahren als sei es ein E Auto.. genau mein Humor.
