Unfortunately, people with walking disabilities have to stay outside 🤪 The toilets are on the first floor. Lots of stone steps and a narrow hallway lead to the “able-bodied” toilets!! This on the subject of monument protection!!

Had a family trip to Leipzig with the children. Service was very friendly. It was really fun.

We got a table straight away on Friday evening without a reservation, super fast food and service and also extremely tasty.

You can enjoy delicious food and drink good cocktails indoors and outdoors until late at night. Also suitable for larger groups. Centrally located in the city center, a good starting point for further activities.

Despite the spontaneous decision to have brunch on Sundays and the previous telephone notification that there were no seats available and that we could drop by if we were lucky, they did their best to provide us with a place. Super nice service, great selection at the buffet and everything was very tasty. Price performance was absolutely appropriate.

Love everyone, We had dinner at Alex last night. We have nothing to complain about the service or the location. Super friendly and cozy. However, we have a few complaints about the food; the portions are more like a snack than a filling meal. Unfortunately, this means the price is absolutely overpriced. Unfortunately, the taste of the whole thing was only average, sometimes even cold... All in all ~ the breakfast buffet is recommended, but you should avoid eating à la carte.

As always, a culinary experience - very tasty and well prepared. The service is also excellent. In particular, Mr. Ramazan Tosun, as a waiter, is always friendly, careful, quick and perfectly rounds off the positive overall picture.

Were here with a large group. Despite the steep prices, hardly anyone was fed up. 18€ for a schnitzel is still ok, but if it's not much bigger than a burger patty and you have to look for the side dishes with a magnifying glass, then that's audacious. The cola was non-carbonated, so it was undrinkable. For me the first and last visit to Alex Leipzig.

We were there for the first time today with children, it was wonderfully beautiful. There were eight of us, including a child aged three. Aside from the great food and great service, there was also a small play area. We'll be coming back more often from now on. Thank you.

Best ALEX we know. The staff is super nice and friendly. The food is amazing, incredibly good quality. 😋 Unfortunately it's also expensive, but it's worth it. On weekends it is advisable to reserve a table. We always come back when we are in Leipzig. 🫶🏻

I was alone in the Alex Leipzig restaurant and thought that I might have to wait longer, as is often the case. But the service was incredibly quick, and the food was delicious. Thank you for the great experience!

As always, a very nice morning at Alex. The waitress Peggy was very friendly and quick, always had a kind word for us. The food was very fresh, tasty and varied. You can't taste everything, so of course we will come back. Keep it up.

Nice central restaurant, very nice service. The cake was very tasty, the coffee was good. We still had the Alex Fries Deluxe Style. Sounded very tasty, but unfortunately it only comes with 3 drops of sauce and 3 grated vegetables, so it just looks so pretty. Otherwise they are very expensive dry fries. Sauce, so that it doesn't get dusty, is only available for an additional charge. Very long wait for food. Too bad.

This restaurant used to be my favorite in the city. Unfortunately, that has completely changed. In my opinion, the bruschetta was limp and the portions have become smaller and smaller in comparison over the last two years. The service made us wait for a very long time and the table was almost never cleared, so that during dinner we still had the remains of the starter on the already very small table. Drinks were only replenished upon request. The main course (baked potato) was very tasty.

NEVER AGAIN! I can't recommend Alex Burger as it's very dry and expensive! Drinks are also way too expensive. Cola 0.33l for €4.40. That's usury! Additionally, the service literally ignored us. Tables were not cleared, we had to clear the plates ourselves so we could eat on the small tables. The request for food was only accepted after an hour. This was our last visit to Alex.

The food was really tasty, we had pizza rolls as a starter and the Asian burger and the schnitzel with mushrooms for the main course. And for dessert, waffles with cherries. Personally, I find the non-alcoholic drinks too expensive. I had a homemade lemonade, which was unfortunately very watery and with a sprig of rosemary and a slice of old, shriveled ginger. Even if it's more decoration than taste. Would I rather put fresh ones in or none at all. The Sunshine smoothie, on the other hand, was super tasty 👍

Currywurst and schnitzel were good, but the dessert, orange sorbet, nut ice cream, Kaiserschmarrn, etc. was phenomenal. Simply great!

Restaurant, food, drinks and service ok. What doesn't work at all are the birds (birds) in the restaurant. They fly over the guests' heads and over the food and debris on the chair or table. It's not hygienic at all, it's more a case for the authorities and hygiene officers. You should take a closer look here.

A good way to get something warm to eat late.

Good breakfast with a large selection

Went to dinner for two. The ambience was good. The restaurant wasn't full but you didn't get served quickly enough. We've already finished eating for more than 20 minutes and none of the waitresses who walk past clear our table. Now we provocatively have the plates placed on top of each other (see photo). Still, no one cares, people continue to walk past happily. Conclusion: the first time with Alex in Leipzig and the last time.

The quality of the food does not justify the high prices. These would have to be better for that. The entire restaurant has something of an oversized, impersonal train station hall. Doesn't necessarily invite you to linger.

An ordinary restaurant with a busy atmosphere and an unconventional menu. Some of the staff are friendly, while others have a somewhat unusual approach. It’s more like a food factory, reminiscent of fast food. Nothing you absolutely have to visit on a trip to Leipzig…

Unfortunately it was very loud. Price/performance ratio doesn't fit at all. Eating so-so...

Good in itself but Kiba in a wine glass doesn't work at all!!!! Then too little for the price!!

Very friendly service, super tasty food and nice atmosphere

Unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied with the service on our last visit. The cellar treated us unkindly and just let us sit outside. Even though we had ordered and were seated at two tables, we were asked to leave because our group was supposedly too large. This treatment was very unpleasant and made us feel unwanted. I hope you can treat your guests better in the future.

Disappointed with our visit here. We were a group, and after ordering, the staff informed us that if we didn't order more, we would need to vacate the table for other guests. This approach felt very unwelcoming, especially given that the restaurant wasn’t busy and we saw no sign of people waiting. We felt rushed and uncomfortable, which made it hard to enjoy our time. A more customer-friendly approach would definitely improve the experience

Great location, very central. Very high prices.

Basically a pleasant bistro atmosphere and of course very nicely located behind the Old Town Hall. The restaurant wasn't full this afternoon, but we still waited 50 minutes for a burger and an appetizer. Only when asked after 40 minutes was the food prepared quickly. Sweet potato fries costing just under 7 euros were overly fried and some were already hard. Staff friendly, but moderately professional. The lamps are completely covered in dust and filled with dead flies. Some of the seat cushions are completely broken. Men's toilets for sitting in are unkempt, some full of feces etc. Sitting outside in the summer is very nice if you have a lot of time.

Maybe the kitchen should ask what a pastrami sandwich is! Just appearance is not enough when it comes to food! The service is absolutely overwhelmed. There are more sparrows (no joke) in the store than waiters.

After ordering, it took over an hour for the food to arrive. Burgers and fries were a given.

Today the four of us went to Alex again and we realized that the price and performance at the breakfast buffet were no longer right. Sausage and cheese offering nothing special, hardly tasty salads, a little more variety and selection would be desirable. Fruit salad, canned beetroot, etc. Not exactly sustainable and healthy. The location is generally a bit old.

It's a cool place with great cocktails. The staff always tries to offer you a table, even if it's only for 1.5 hours. Top.

Although we asked for a window seat in the reservation email and several tables by the window were free, we were not allowed to sit there. The waiters seemed extremely stressed. After receiving the cards, they arrived every minute after (what felt like) 30 seconds 3 different waiters to take the order. Extremely loud acoustics. Food was great, but unfortunately the rest wasn't.

The food was quite good, only the rolls were probably a bit old. The waitress was very friendly and, even though they were full, spontaneously freed up 5 seats for us and rescheduled everything. We had the breakfast buffet for 15€ which is really a good price, and the selection was sufficient. We'll be back (and then with a reservation).

I started a mini-job at ALEX Leipzig about 1 ½ years ago and am glad I quit as quickly as possible. At that time I was just 18 and wanted to improve my financial situation. After I asked for a job, everything happened very quickly and I was hired a few weeks later. I understand that it can be stressful, especially on weekends and holidays. However, this in no way justifies the lack of empathy and deceitful behavior among colleagues. Many things were not discussed with me, such as the exact working hours or my tasks. More time should be spent on thorough training so that new employees better understand their tasks. If this is not possible, you should think about something else, but barely training new employees and almost “disgusting them away” is unacceptable. I never really felt welcome and often heard gossip from my colleagues. After a few days of work, it was clear to me that I wanted to quit as quickly as possible. When I handed in my resignation and work uniform, all I was told was how inappropriate my behavior was. In fact, a colleague intercepted me on the way out and told me that I had done everything right and that he was also thinking about quitting. In summary, I would like to emphasize that I definitely do not recommend the ALEX Lokal in Leipzig as an employer.

At Alex there is something to eat for every taste and it is extremely tasty. It is a relaxed and informal atmosphere, which the staff also contributes to. You are served casually but competently and you don't have to wait long for what you order. Only the walk to the toilet is quite far. You shouldn't wait until the last second otherwise...

Another hospitality that we discovered in Leipzig that we really liked. We were still hungry after visiting the variety show and tried to eat the delicious sausage salad again in the Augustinum. Unfortunately, the kitchen there closed at 10 p.m. but and that's no longer normal, the cheeky waiter with the eye-catching earring and the knickerbockers pointed in the direction of the Old Town Hall and advised us to go to Alex, as the kitchen was far from closing time there. Despite a certain amount of skepticism (because the woman was hungry), we followed the advice and were absolutely thrilled. There was still the entire menu, I only took a bruschetta (perfect), my wife a Buddha?Bowl - and even though it was quite late (11:30 p.m.) there were highly motivated and friendly waiters and everything was clean and tidy. Any time.

I invited my parents here and it was our first visit to Alex. We were very positively surprised. The staff was very very friendly. There is a very large selection of food at lunchtime. The quality of the dishes was great. Everything we had was very tasty including the drinks and dessert. It is definitely recommended to pre-order. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area. 👍🏼

There were three of us eating there and the table was reserved two weeks in advance. There's nothing to complain about in terms of service, everything went great and two changes to the food weren't a problem. As for the food itself, the starters were beautifully presented and you can't complain about the taste either. As main courses we had the two steaks (ordered medium and got ideal medium) and the Currywurst Deluxe, all three dishes were sumptuous and really tasty. Only the prices were quite steep, but you probably pay for the location.

Unfortunately only 3 stars for the ambience because the birds in the house unfortunately pooped on our table several times. The rest was almost perfect if it weren't for those annoying piles that ended up right next to the food, even if it was a buffet for us.

Die Limo & der Eistee schmecken sehr gut! Frische Zutaten und angenehme Kombinationen. Der BERNSTEINKÄSE KÜRBISRÖSTI BURGER ist im Großen und ganzen ein gelungener Burger mit einer sehr Guten Kombination an Zutaten. Lediglich das Prime Beef, womit geworben wird schmeckt leider mehr wie ein Weizen Vegan Patty als nach richtigen Prime Beef. Der CHICKEN HUMMUS BURGER ist im Gegensatz dazu eine reine Katastrophe, schmeckt wie ein schlechter Salat zwischen 2 Brötchen. In meinem Fall war das Hähnchen Filet auf dem Burger eiskalt, als ob es schon 30 Minuten vorher da lag. Die Pommes sind Standard Pommes aus dem Großhandel, schmecken aber in Ordnung. Angenehmes Ambiente ist vorhanden. Der Kellner war zwar sehr freundlich, sollte aber daran üben vielleicht ein wenig lauter zu reden und nicht alles zu nuscheln das man mehrmals nachfragen muss.

We have often been to Alex for breakfast and today for brunch. It is always very busy and you should definitely reserve online. There are many hot and cold dishes. The salmon, the warm pretzels, the baked gnocchi, the pancakes and the dessert in a glass were particularly good. The coffee (not included in the price) also tasted very good. However, we missed warm vegetables and jams. Overall we were very satisfied and would like to come back.

During the shopping trip I looked for and found a nice restaurant. Plenty of seating outside or inside the restaurant. The menu offers a variety of dishes.

Aperol was very less - especially for this price.

The Aperol costs €7.70 and was just a small sip in a large glass. Too bad.

It wasn't really crowded. Nevertheless, there were long waiting times and people were overlooked for a while. What I found very disappointing was that the ice cream specialties didn't have real cream on them, but rather spray cream. The specially made lemonade was quite ok. The food was mediocre. I heard so many good things about Alex, but found that the quality was a bit worse when we visited.

My visit to ALEX Restaurant in Leipzig was a pleasant experience, and the chicken teriyaki I ordered pleasantly surprised me. Instead of the usual rice side dish, the dish was served with crispy sweet potato fries, which was an exciting and modern twist. The combination of the tender chicken pieces and the spicy teriyaki sauce harmonized perfectly with the slightly sweet fries. The sweet potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - a great contrast to the strong sauce. Visually, the dish was also a highlight: the fresh herbs, sesame seeds and lime gave the whole thing a fresh, lively look that whetted the appetite. The light sauce over the fries added an extra creaminess without overpowering the dish. The ALEX also impresses with its relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, making it a pleasant place to spend time with friends or family. Although the restaurant can get a bit noisy at peak times, the quality of the food definitely made up for it. All in all, it was a creative and delicious twist on the classic chicken teriyaki that I thoroughly enjoyed. I can only recommend the ALEX Restaurant in Leipzig and will definitely come back!

We were there for breakfast. Standard and convenience products, nothing special, supermarket quality in my opinion. The clearing of the buffet began shortly before 12 p.m. even though it was advertised until 12 p.m. The waitress with the longer blonde hair pulled it out: warm, direct, friendly and very helpful, chapeau!

The food was great. Unfortunately, the staff is a bit overwhelmed when there is good occupancy. Guests who arrived later had their drinks before us. Waiting time is to be expected.
