We spontaneously decided to eat here at the buffet. The selection is extensive, the quality is excellent, and everything is fresh. The service is young, fast, and always strives to create a comfortable atmosphere. And the location is perfectly decorated. We were very satisfied!

Overall, it was good. The children's chairs don't have straps for fastening. This could be improved.

I've been an Espitas fan for over 10 years. The ambiance still appeals to me, and I always feel very comfortable there. The service staff is always very friendly and prompt. Reservations are easy, and spontaneous appointments are accommodated, no matter how busy the restaurant is. Leipzig, Halle Bruckdorf, and Erfurt are the Espitas restaurants I visit most often. All three differ in small details, and everyone is best off choosing their own favorite. Prices are mid-range for Germany, but with three people, you can quickly exceed the €130 mark. I recommend the buffet on Friday and Saturday. You'll get a better deal then and get more of that Mexican feeling! What I've noticed over the past two years in all three branches is the cost-cutting measures on toilet paper and towel dryers! They're often empty, not filled. In Leipzig, the enchiladas are too dry around the edges for me. In Halle Bruckdorf, they are perfectly soft! On the other hand, the 200g steaks in Erfurt are the best. Each restaurant has its own differences, which are charming, but the standard should be the same everywhere. This is very difficult to achieve. Overall, I give it 4 out of 5 stars 🌟 for fans of good Mexican food. Keep it up... Espitas has a great team behind it. The concept is working.

Children's Day was great. It was packed at lunchtime, but that was to be expected, so we made a reservation. The bottle of soda wasn't enough, of course; my boy prefers a Speedy Gonzales anyway. The buffet was well-stocked as always. I miss the spicy Mexican food, but it's all-you-can-eat. We'll be back!

Today was my second visit to ESPIAS in Leipzig. This time, instead of the traditional menu, they served buffet-style food. There was a good selection of dishes for all ages, so no one left hungry. Freshly made tacos and delicious desserts rounded out the offerings. Our waitress, Lea, deserves special praise; she genuinely cares about her guests and always asks polite questions without being intrusive.

We were there for Children's Day to take advantage of the special offer, to be honest. But we still come back every now and then. This time the buffet was very good, and the additional dishes were really well prepared. Everything was very fresh and delicious. The spare ribs were top-notch this time. The quality and taste have improved again compared to our last visits – great! We'll be happy to come back soon!

We've driven past this restaurant several times and decided to give it a try. We weren't disappointed; it looks impressive from the outside and is even more impressive inside with its decor and friendly staff. The food is very good, although some of the meat was overcooked/grilled a bit. We were there on a grill menu buffet evening, and despite it being very busy, the buffet was always well-stocked. While the many guests were there to watch, the noise level was quiet enough that you could have a normal conversation at the table. There were two of us there that evening. Overall, a successful evening; we'll definitely be back.

We were there for the buffet on August 20, 2025. We had pre-ordered. The restaurant was relatively busy. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the buffet was restocked very slowly. That wasn't great. A member of staff introduced herself and said she was in charge of us that evening. Well, we saw her three times that evening. My drink wasn't brought to the bar until I asked for it. It must have been forgotten. Well, all in all, a nice restaurant with room for improvement in service...

We spontaneously stopped by for brunch on Sunday at 12 p.m. The greeting at the door was unpleasant. The young lady repeatedly twisted her face, as if she were about to say, "No, sorry, unfortunately, it's full." There were three other tables free in our section, just like in other sections. So there was simply no reason for this behavior. Walk-ins don't often come to restaurants outside the city center. Therefore, a positive greeting would have been appropriate. Another young lady served us, open and friendly. She even started with a cross-selling attempt, even if she seemed a little unsure. But hey, everyone starts like this, and at least she tried. She even came back after a while and asked if everything was okay, which unfortunately not many servers do these days. The buffet was okay. You get what you pay for. And for 22 euros, you can't expect more quality or quantity. I just thought it was a shame that when we arrived, the pork in a gravy ran out and wasn't replenished. Instead, I had more ribs. I think, all in all, you're still a long way from the Mexican vibe and zest for life that you certainly want to represent. Of course, that requires employees who radiate that. But I also know how difficult it is to attract and retain such employees. There was no music playing, either. That would have certainly improved the atmosphere considerably. I'll probably come back for another BBQ one weekend and hopefully give you a better review than I just did.

We were there on a very hot Friday evening. We ordered drinks using a QR code, and it took 25 minutes for them to arrive. Because it was so hot, we ordered another round straight away. It took just as long again. The food was average. We were last there four years ago, and nothing has changed. So, we won't be back for another year.

We go there once a year when we're on vacation in Leipzig. The staff are very friendly, the food is delicious, and on Taco Tuesday, you can eat out relatively inexpensively as a family. Unfortunately, the pool is just cosmetic and can no longer be used. We were very satisfied and would gladly come back.

We had a reservation for 10 people and arrived on time, but despite that, we had to wait an hour for the reservation and our drinks. The food took another 45 minutes. It was cold, incredibly bland, and some of the ingredients were incredibly spicy without any labels. This was absolutely not what I expected from Espitas, and the disappointment was enough to dissuade me from going back.

The food was incredibly delicious! The service loses a tiny star! The girls were extremely nice and polite, but we felt like they were severely understaffed! It felt like an eternity before someone came to take our orders! Otherwise, everything was great, delicious, and the atmosphere was incredibly lovely!

We were there for our daughter's first day at school, and I can say it was the best thing we could have done. Espitas went to extraordinary lengths to give our little one an unforgettable day. The table was super sweetly decorated with streamers, pens, scissors, glue, and more. There was even a filled pineapple hung above us. And all at no extra charge! That day, they offered non-alcoholic margaritas for the little ones to mix themselves, which was a huge hit. There's also a pool and a small indoor climbing and slide area where the kids can romp around when they're no longer hungry. The food was excellent, as always, and there was plenty for our vegetarian guests too. All in all, very hospitable and highly recommended!

We happened upon a Sunday brunch by chance. It was a fantastic experience. The service was very fast. The price was absolutely reasonable.

I can't really recommend the restaurant. It started with the greeting. We just wanted to go and eat spontaneously and we were told that we should reserve a table next time because of staffing levels, without a word. It continued: our waitress was very friendly but then we had to wait almost an hour for the food. That's just not acceptable. I ordered pork loin steak with chili con carne and the meat wasn't pork but poultry, it was thin as a sheet of paper and burnt. As a chef I would be ashamed to serve something like that to customers. I returned the food but didn't want any new food. Over half of the grilled vegetables consisted of onions. I haven't eaten this badly in a long time and I eat out a lot but I won't go to this restaurant anymore.

We were the first guests to arrive for lunch, but we waited almost half an hour for drinks. Then another 35 minutes for the food.

From a distance it looked good. But when we got closer, it was run down; the ashtray by the stairs was overflowing. The wooden steps were poorly maintained. The chairs at the table were broken. The leather was torn. The buffet food wasn't fresh, and the frozen glasses were smeared. The Corona beer was all gone. And finally, the quality of the food was terrible. We won't go there again. Normally, we were there for about 20 minutes and shouldn't have had to pay anything. The worst crap, has nothing to do with Mexico. Sad!!!

Espitas is a popular place to visit. The special espitas charm and the delicious food keep you coming back. The cocktails are also highly recommended. Tables can be booked online within a minute, and there's plenty of parking behind the building. I'll continue to visit regularly :)

To be honest: The restaurant didn't really impress me in terms of taste. A lot of the food tastes like it came out of a packet – like Maggi Fix. Considering the prices, that's a bit outrageous. The only saving grace: the ribs and the grilled meat were quite okay. But! The ambiance is really nice. Pure Mexican vibe! You immediately feel at home and could easily spend a few hours here. The staff was also super friendly and attentive, nothing to complain about. In conclusion: If you're just looking for a relaxed evening with drinks and pleasant conversation, Espitas Leipzig is definitely a good place. But if you're craving authentic Mexican food, you'll probably be better off elsewhere.

We finally returned to Espitas after a long time... and we were absolutely thrilled. Our waitress was Evelin, and she was super accommodating, super friendly, and did everything perfectly. The food was amazing as always 👍

There were three of us at this Mexican restaurant, and they only had a buffet that day. For kids (probably up to 12), it was only €8.90. For everyone else, I think it was around €24. The waitress was very new and therefore a bit clueless, but totally sweet and friendly. The food was delicious, but €24 is obviously not a bargain. The drinks are also relatively expensive. The cocktails (we only tried the non-alcoholic ones) were very good. With the app, which you can download, you save 10%, and theoretically, you can then use them again and again with a new account. We saved 10% using this app and ultimately paid €80, which is still very expensive for two adults and one child. I wanted to tip, but only had my credit card with me. Unfortunately, they weren't able to charge it to my credit card, so I couldn't leave a tip. Conclusion: The waitress was new, but her manner made her very personable, and the food was definitely delicious. Unfortunately, the prices are a bit high, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars.

Friendly service, large amount of off street parking which is convenient. The Mexican food is okay, not authentic Mexican but not that surprised really. If you've never been, then it's different than anything else in the city. The Jarritos is good and made in Mexico though. Didn't try any bar drinks but there are a lot of authentic Mexican beers.

The spare ribs weren't particularly juicy, just like the gently cooked pork shoulder. All in all, I have to say I wouldn't visit the restaurant again just for the buffet. On a positive note, the friendly service is worth mentioning.

The food was excellent. Everyone enjoyed it. The terrace was perfect for such a sunny day. This won't be the last time we've been there as a team.

The worst Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at - never again! Cheap ingredients thrown together without care, and the service was completely overwhelmed, even though they had enough staff. If you like this kind of Mexican convenience food, you can buy the ingredients ready-made at the supermarket.

I've never seen such a dirty restaurant. Cobwebs everywhere, a dirty pool on the terrace, the table was sticky. A main menu cost around €20. The ingredients are poor, frozen goods are beautifully presented. Ajajaj, I'm surprised at the positive reviews. The staff was friendly, even if inexperienced, and saved the visit.

We were here for the first time. Unfortunately a construction site. The barrier-free access via an elevator was very good, but it didn't fit into the ambience. Food was average. Despite relatively few visitors on Monday evening, we had to wait a long time; no one ever came to the table to ask whether we wanted to order something or to clear the table. There was probably chaos in the kitchen but that happens. Greetings from the catering industry. Unfortunately I wasn't impressed by the visit. But the potential is very high. And a big point of criticism at the end: The homemade milkshake is made with ice cubes. Why? Tastes disgusting. Not appropriate. Do yourself a favor and change the recipe. All the best to you.

Bei unserem Besuch des Restaurants haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, kompetent und lösungsorientiert. Das Essen war super lecker, die Getränke/ Cocktails ebenso. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich, für beeinträchtigte Menschen barrierefrei zugänglich. Es gibt eine Fahrstuhl um in die 1. Etage in die Räumlichkeiten zu gelangen und ein behindertengerechtes WC. Auch ein Wickeltisch ist vorhanden. Wir kommen gerne wieder zum kulinarischem Besuch.

The restaurant is very lovingly furnished and the service is great, but if you're looking for real Mexican cuisine here, you'll look in vain - wheat tortillas instead of corn tortillas, fried vegetables with herbs from Provence!?, no hot sauces, no coriander, and the worst pozole I've ever had. What a shame... it's just a very German interpretation of Mexican food. If that doesn't bother you, you'll definitely be happy here

Super delicious food, delicious drinks, top service. Very child-friendly and with a very nice play area. A big plus point: you can order drinks from the table using a QR code and you don't always have to wait for a waiter.

Went for brunch and my review only refers to that. Service and employees are super nice and accommodating. The ambience is nice at first glance, but could slowly get an update. Some of the chairs are pretty worn out and time leaves its mark on the inventory. Personally, I didn't really like the food without being able to directly attach it to something. But the selection was quite large. A plus point is the play area for children. Be careful, drinks are not included in the brunch and they really pack a punch. But you can know if you read up on it Will try it again when it's not brunch.

We made a reservation even though we saw that the reviews weren't the best. Drove over and in the door. Oh, what is that, totally colorful and overloaded. I hardly believe what a restaurant in Mexico will look like. Then I saw the people at the buffet, they arrived with very small plates, with a tiny piece of meat and something on them. We didn't have enough money for that. We didn't even go in and looked for another restaurant. And then we had a wonderful dinner.
