I really liked the restaurant itself, the service was nice, but it took a long time for the drinks to arrive. We went to the buffet dinner, which didn't blow me away.

For the first time as a guest, I was surprised by the ambience, I didn't expect that, SUPER worth seeing. You have to pick up your food from the buffet yourself, so everything can be tried out and usually refilled before the end. Service is quick and friendly, drinks are brought. Reservation required.

So €76 for two people is not cheap. The buffet was extensive but the food was cold, which meant that all the meat was tough, which was a shame. But the worst of all are dirty plates with leftover food from the previous person that were not cleaned properly. Finding a clean plate at the buffet was a gamble. The two cocktails for €8.50 each were delicious and worth the money, but the food was definitely not.

Buffett subpar, food cold, service extremely slow, inattention, 2 people had cutlery, the other 2 had to ask for it first...absolutely not recommended

The food was really delicious... One star less because we were almost finished eating when our drinks were brought to the table. I'm aware that the cocktails take a little longer, but it was almost half an hour that we waited. The reception was very nice. The plates were piled up on the table, re-ordering drinks also took a little longer super. Despite everything, we'd love to come back...

Nice Mexican atmosphere and food.

The ambience corresponds to the Mexican feeling. The bar is impressively large and beautifully decorated. We were lucky that there wasn't much going on. The food is very good: tacos and especially the 10 shrimps as a starter. Overall there is a large selection and the portions are plentiful. We will definitely come back.

Yesterday we visited with a large group and ate our way through the buffet. There is a lot to choose from at the buffet and there is something for everyone. A lot of it tasted very good but unfortunately the meat was mostly very dry. The ambience is very good and was also clean. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. There are too few staff for the many guests. It was pointed out that cocktails take a little longer, but 45 minutes is awesome. There is enough parking space behind the restaurant, so getting there was very easy for us. All in all, it was still a great evening. Price and performance are right.

The food was really fantastic and the atmosphere is very pleasant. What was really not pleasant was our service. It was clear from the start that she wasn't interested. Unfortunately he couldn't help us with certain ingredients, forgot orders and often pretty much ignored us. In between and at the end the bartender took over and he was much smarter, friendlier and responded to us in a much more dynamic way. Unfortunately, I can only give one warning when it comes to cocktails. 70-80% ice and the rest drink is really cheeky for the price. I could understand that during happy hour but not if you pay full price. I know that drinks make up the majority of sales, but please don't.

So today we went to the BBQ buffet again for a long time. I have to say, your prices are gourmet. The two of us paid €80 with two drinks each (2x non-alcoholic, 2x shandy) and a buffet. I almost fell out of my chair. That has no relation to the quality of the food. I'm really really disappointed today!

It was our first time at ESPITAS. The service was very attentive and friendly. The interior is lovingly decorated in Mexican style and true to the theme. The building itself also looks funky. We were also very impressed visually by the bar. We were satisfied with the drinks. However, the food was okay. Most of the dishes were relatively tasteless. The soup, ribs and tacos simply lacked seasoning. I liked the guacamole and beef steaks.

If you like Mexican food, this is the place for you. The buffet on Saturday was lavish and varied. The ambience will captivate those who love details. There were also a lot of service staff on the go. Top address!

I imagined typical Mexican to be different. All in all rather poor and unimaginative.

Something completely different. From the front, Torgauer Straße, a bit hidden at first glance, there is plenty of free parking space for guests behind the property. Access - the house is literally on stilts - is via stairs. You get your food from the extensive buffet. It tasted great. The decoration is quaint and there are several separate levels so you don't get in each other's way.

Sauteuer (70€ für Essen mit 1x Bier und 1x Aparol) und nach dem Essen, standen die leeren mit Speiseresten bestückten Teller, Gläser usw. geschlagene 20min auf dem Tisch, kein Kellner anwesend, mann konnte weder nachbestellen, noch bezahlen, nach einer halben Stunde kam dann jemand und erklärte uns, dass Sie ja schließlich Pause hatte, kassieren hat dann nochmal ne gute Viertelstunde gedauert, da Sie ja erstmal ALLE Personen aufnehmen musste, danach kam Sie dann mit den Kassenzetteln und jeder durfte bezahlen....nie wieder...

I invited my guests to Sunday brunch for my birthday and found a beautifully set table. Whoosh, the drinks were ordered and off we went to the treats. Since it was very, very full and there were a lot of birthday parties, plates or bowls were briefly out of stock, but this was quickly remedied. The variety and taste of the food impressed us all, including mine The youngest guest found plenty of food that he obviously enjoyed. It was an all-round successful lunchtime brunch and we will definitely be back...

We happened to drive past Espitas and the design of the building really appealed to us, so we made a spontaneous stop here. We really enjoyed the visit and didn't regret it. The service is polite, attentive and always available when you need something. Problems are dealt with directly and we try to make the best possible out of them. Despite our spontaneous visit, we got a table without any problems. The food is typically Mexican and the menu offers plenty of choice. You can even try grasshoppers at Espitas. We really liked our selection too! The ambience in the restaurant completely blew our socks off. Everything inside is coordinated and you almost get the feeling of sitting in Mexico. Very comfortable! Something different. We can warmly recommend Espitas! We will most likely come back again.

Dined there for the first time last night. It was delicious. Nice and empty so late and had great, friendly service. Food wonderful and drinks great. Nice atmosphere and everything was very clean. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for everything at a late hour.

At Espitas you feel a little holiday flair. We had the buffet, it was a well stocked buffet with some goodies. Of course it is clear that not everyone likes everything. But as it is, tastes differ. The lady who evaluated us was very nice, greeted us at the beginning and explained the process to us. What I didn't like so much was that, unfortunately, very rarely anyone was at our table and asked what else we would drink. So here, you could have generated a lot more sales. Drinks were often in short supply with delicious food. I know that there has unfortunately been a staff shortage in the industry since Corona. I can only tell you, as I am an entrepreneur myself, your staff take care of what works for you, because they are your capital. Because you still have room for improvement here. But the evening itself was very successful and we would like to come back.

This was the second time we've eaten in this great atmosphere. And we can only report positive things. Great employees who fulfill your every wish and even sing birthday serenades and give little surprises to the birthday child.🥳 The design of the restaurant is really more than successful and there is even a play area for children, which gives the children room to move around, really very optimal . 👍🏻 Even if the restaurant is busy, you don't feel disturbed at all by the guests' other conversations or if a child is louder or if they dart through the restaurant, because you just sit in your comfortable place and enjoy the details You can admire and enjoy the authentic furnishings and such a hustle and bustle is part of the Mexican mentality.🫠 The selection of food is also more than outstanding and really tasty. Simply delicious that you go home feeling full. 🤭 We recommend everyone to make a short visit to Mexico, to Espitas Leipzig, and use the great advertising system through the postcards that you can send to friends, family and acquaintances when you visit there 🤗 We'll definitely be back

I visited Espitas in Leipzig with my daughter. The staff is very friendly and wishes are happy to be fulfilled. The ambience is great, a very impressive place inside and out. The food was very tasty and very plentiful. We ordered a grill plate for 2 people. We would have fed the whole family with that. We left after 3 hours with a large bag of packed food. Small drawback: the food was only lukewarm when it came to the table. Consider using warming plates, at least for meals for 2 or more people. Otherwise everything was really great!!! We'll be back!!!

A good restaurant for the whole family. The food tastes delicious. The service is nice, friendly and accommodating. Our little daughter wanted to eat there for her birthday. The reservation was no problem. The table decoration was very attractive. For the Mexican holiday Dia de Muertos, dressing up was the order of the day. A class act from Espitas. It was fun for the whole family.

The staff is very nice, but the waiting time for the food is almost 1 hour too long if you come with a large group, the food wasn't very seasoned, some of it was bland.

Personally, I would have liked a larger selection of taccos and burritos. Otherwise very nice atmosphere and delicious food.

AMBIENCE GREAT, SERVICE PROFFESSIONAL THE FOOD....not even mediocre, no cruets on the table to season, Mexican cuisine shouldn't just reflect spiciness. Pepper, chili and lime make overcooked, bland rice not tasty, meat is hardly seasoned apart from pepper , (top fried) and avocado paste, the chef can also spice up the taste...that is, if he can do it...would have liked to add more seasoning without the appropriate quantities - illusory. Unfortunately, our expectations were far too high, the kitchen didn't convince us, a good restaurant doesn't just have ambience and service but also a lot of taste and skill on the part of the kitchen... SHAME

I was traveling to Taucha for work and the Espitas was directly opposite the hotel. So it happened that I was actually here three days in a row. The staff was very friendly and very nice every day. The food was really more than good on all days and highly recommended. And I would do it again next time, I felt very comfortable here.

We were there because we knew it from Magdeburg and thought it was great. However, the employees were completely overwhelmed that day. No cutlery, no drinks, the counter overflowing with dirty glasses, no plates, buffet poorly refilled. We were disappointed. People are used to better things there.

We attended Sunday brunch. Price-performance is really good. The ambience is very nice and inviting. The food is warm and we mostly enjoyed it very much. There is a small play area (but for us it was very overcrowded). Parking is possible right next to the restaurant. The only point of criticism: the service. The staff was very friendly, but we had to wait a long time for our drinks, plates were not cleared away and were missing from the buffet several times. We approached staff three times about a high chair but didn't receive one. All in all, we are still satisfied and would visit ESPITAS again. There is something for every taste.

I'm very disappointed, there wasn't much choice in the food. It wasn't anything special for the expensive price, and it didn't taste good at all. There were hardly any vegetarian options and beef steaks were no longer available at 8 p.m.

We were at Espidas with a family friend and treated ourselves to the “all you can eat”. The food and drinks are consistently good, but not really great for the price. Even though it is close to a main road, the ambience is really cool. The candlesticks made from old bottles are an eye-catcher and the building has a special charm that makes you feel good. Unfortunately, this does not apply to the service. The menu (see picture) says that children up to 13 pay a price of €8.90 for the "all you can eat" menu. The waitress, who was very friendly and completely innocent of the problem, told us from management that our 13-year-old children would no longer benefit from the discount, but should pay in full, since they are already 13. We explained that this was not clear from the map and asked for an explanation. The poor waitress was sent back to us three times by the management. To our great regret, the person actually responsible didn't even show up, but kept trying to enforce what we considered to be unfounded demands through the service. This business practice is very bad. Unfortunately, Espidas has lost two families as customers.

Delicious food as you are used to at Espitas. Unfortunately the service wasn't great today. It took a relatively long time. What bothered us most, however, was that we weren't asked again about our drinks or dessert requests. Due to the late hour, we didn't order any more dessert and asked to pay at the bar.

Have really enjoyed being there so far. Today, however, a disaster. Half an hour after ordering drinks we were informed that the Mexican beer was out of stock. Replacement arrived after another quarter of an hour. Food came after 1.3 hours. No questions asked every now and then whether we would like something more to drink. After criticizing the waitress about the waiting time, she seemed snappy, even though we told her that we knew she couldn't do anything about the waiting time. The whole evening consisted of waiting in front of empty glasses. Food was good and plentiful. Unfortunately, we probably won't come again. Very unfortunate.

First of all: we were here for the Saturday buffet. Costs €27 p. P. + drinks. The location is really great, a lot of effort was put into it. The service was very friendly, but could have been quicker. Had to wait quite a long time for our drinks. The buffet was really rich. Meat, vegetarian, sweet... There's something for everyone. It was all good and tasty, but it wasn't really wow. Therefore only 4 stars.

à la carte is definitely the better choice here… So far I've been really happy with this restaurant. However, in my opinion, the buffet is not recommended at all. Too little choice. A tortilla wrap folded with a slice of cheese or the wraps filled with cheap raw vegetable salad are in no way close to the dishes on the menu. I expected much more for the price. In addition, the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. Waiting almost 25 minutes until you have the drinks at the table is just as unacceptable in my opinion. Another visit to the buffet is out of the question. Then it's better to go à la carte again

Very nice atmosphere, we were at a company party, so there were a lot of guests. It sometimes happens that you have to wait a little longer for a drink. But that's not a derogatory reason for me. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty and varied. Keep it up, I'll definitely come back

We have eaten at Espitas several times now and the whole atmosphere is unique, harmonious and thematically appropriate. The menus are varied and there is also a good selection of food, especially for vegetarians. When you register with Espitas via email, you will regularly receive vouchers and will be notified of events. We've also been to the buffet. Unfortunately, this was a bit of a mess - the chefs didn't know when things were coming at brunch and the announced tacos weren't available until the end - there's still room for improvement here. What I recommend to everyone is a coffee tequila or almond tequila at the end. The tequilas have nothing to do with the well-known cheap versions, but are of high quality and an unforgettable taste experience.

We were there on Friday. Unfortunately for buffet food. It was simply the worst food I've ever eaten. Partly cold and limp. For children, not even mayo, I had to order extra and only asked the third time. When I saw the price per adult on the bill at the end, I was shocked: almost €30 for hardly any choice! Never again!

Service was really great! Except that they are not allowed to put the tip on the bill and pay by card. Unfortunately, the almost 120€ for 3 people (each had only 1 drink) was remarkably high considering the frozen food offer and I will briefly explain: - Spare ribs dry, with the delicious BBQ sauce it worked, but there was hardly any meat on the bone - We just didn't like the marinated corn on the cob because it tasted a bit like "yesterday". - the shrimps on the salad were still raw - The 0.5l drink was initially only 2/3 full, but when asked about it, the friendly waitress immediately brought a new one - Enchiladas were delicious I'm looking forward to your feedback, because there may be a one-off problem in the kitchen and the service couldn't have helped me much.

4 out of 5 stars...unfortunately. As always, the food was very tasty, but unfortunately the service was not. The employees are very friendly, but apparently too few and therefore overwhelmed. This time we went for dinner during the week, otherwise for the buffet. We had to wait over 2 hours for our food and another drink order was completely forgotten. Too bad. We'd love to come back for brunch, for a spontaneous meal during the week, we'll see.

This was our first time for brunch. Very plentiful selection. Tasted very good, spiciness was selectable. Top service. Ambiance is very good, although some seating options (round chairs) should be eliminated due to the risk of collapse.

The food tasted too dark for us

Unfortunately we were very disappointed last night. We ordered the plate for 2. The premium rib advertised on the menu was pure fat...not edible and a maximum of 2 forkfuls of edible meat. The wings were so dark that you had the feeling that they had been briefly forgotten. The rest of the platter (chilli con carne, ribs and the cheese tortillas) was very tasty. But for the money, this meat? No thanks 😊

We were there for the buffet and were all very satisfied. The price is certainly a little above average, but the selection is really good and, above all, tasty. Dessert is also thought of. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is also great (seating options both inside and outside).

Typically ESPITAS. Food, service and ambience, you know what you're getting. We were able to sit outside on the terrace. Large tables and chairs make it comfortable. The highlight was the small swimming pool where the children can dangle their legs. You could even go swimming, but you don't want to expect that from the others :-)

The restaurant is decorated in Mexican style. Food maybe typical of the country (I haven't been to Mexico yet). Definitely good. The service on the day we visited was not good. I think there is a lack of qualified staff like everywhere else.

Tac o Tuesday highly recommended, super tasty at good prices

First the positive: The food and drinks were really delicious. 6 people had 6 different dishes, everything was great. The staff was also very friendly. Now to the reason for the 2 star rating and also the reason why we probably won't come back: The waiting times are really too long. We had drink tickets at our place. After 20 minutes we were allowed to order. We asked when the right cards would come. 30 minutes later we ordered the food. We wait almost 50 minutes for this. We then went home with our child because the bill hadn't arrived after 10 minutes and left the money for our friends. It was a Monday and really not crowded. Unfortunately, they seem to be completely understaffed, which I'm sorry about, but then you have to limit the number of people.

Went here for dinner yesterday. There were only on the terrace and a handful of people inside. We have 20 minutes to order the drinks, 1 hour to get the drinks themselves and then another 2 hours!! Waited until dinner!! I ordered pulled pork tacos - the meat was fatty and more like soup meat, not much salad and all in all quite bland. Positive: free parking space, nice waiter and drinks were ok. Won't come back again.

This goes to the management of Espitas: your service staff are good and customer-oriented people. However, if there is an absolute understaffing (and apparently also in the kitchen, but this is only a guess), then one person cannot manage everything. Of course, there are enormous waiting times, up to 1.5 hours, for the dishes ordered, and as a result the guests are extremely dissatisfied with what the staff on site gets. Almost all employees responded professionally to the masses of complaints on that day, July 9, 2024. The company's concept is good, maybe just a buffet?, but it gets the understaffing and faulty technology under control.

Food: Unfortunately the quality has fallen compared to recent years - expensive food ingredients such as beef are greatly reduced in quantity, but there is an increased proportion of rice, beans etc., and that at a significantly increased price..Shrinkflation at its finest (also and especially when it comes to drinks). Service & ambience: still as good as usual.

We like it, parking spaces directly on site. The restaurant is located on the first floor but is easily accessible via a lift. Unfortunately yesterday (Saturday) there was only self-service at the buffet. Not for us, but we will try it again during the week - full service restaurant.

The only thing that doesn't fit is the lack of staff in relation to the size of the restaurant. Almost all of the dishes are great. Buffet 27.50 per person is also okay
