Kaiserbad in Leipzig

At the beginning of September we rented the hall of the Kaiserbad to celebrate our wedding there. Everything was perfect. The location is beautiful, the food was just as delicious as in the restaurant next door and the service staff was super friendly. All arrangements went very pleasantly and smoothly. It was perfect all around. We can highly recommend the Kaiserbad and thank you for the wonderful day.

Unfortunately my schnitzel was a bit too salty, but otherwise very 😋.

Staff absolutely unfriendly, especially the bald guy at the bar, no smile, no hello, nothing, you have a question or want to reorder something, the answer is stroppy, your young waitresses don't even have a clue what you have to offer, the questions too Ingredients cannot be answered or if you want to know what you can offer with your coffee, no advice, if you don't feel like working then look for something else, gastronomy means passion, joy in working with people, you need it all an instruction and training included! I am very disappointed!

Unfortunately, the Kaiserbad couldn't really convince me. The dishes all looked like they had just been warmed up (pasta with dried sauce, dry shish kebab). Additionally, sliced ​​rosemary potatoes were advertised as fried potatoes. However, the prices were also at the upper limit for the portion size. Unfortunately, the service was only present at the beginning.

Good food at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the staff is often quite ignorant. Yesterday, sitting at our table, I waved to the waiter who then turned around and walked in the other direction. I then ran after him and asked him about it: “I saw you, I just wanted to do something else before.” Aha. Unfortunately this is not an isolated case. A few weeks ago with friends we also had to actively take care of getting a drink replenishment.

Unfortunately you couldn't sit on the beautiful terrace because of the many wasps. But there's also a great atmosphere inside, again at any time.

I love this place. It can be difficult to get a table sometimes, so I recommend making a reservation. The food is incredibly delicious and original, and the atmosphere is simply wonderful. The prices might be a bit high, but they are always worth it. The service from the waitstaff is very positive, and it’s equally enjoyable whether you’re inside or out in the courtyard.

As Henning May said: "Sunglasses are a must and filter coffee is a pleasure. And the strawberry cake, you have to try it." Great location for coffee and cake 🫰🏼 I can't rate it more. Staff very friendly.

Unfortunately the food was poor in terms of price performance. Absolutely inadequate in both quality and quantity. Service was nice. Tomato soup tastes like arrabiata from a jar. Potatoes not fully cooked. It doesn't work that way. But: Please not again so quickly.

Everything is fine and nice, but unfortunately they make themselves very unpleasant by charging €3 for an additional bread basket (with 3 pieces of baguette) - for a dip dish - at such high prices. That should probably be changed

“Kaiserbad – Where waiting is part of the enjoyment” The Kaiserbad in Leipzig impresses with its pretty interior, an inviting beer garden and a tempting menu. Our starter, ordered around 7:30 p.m., arrived quickly, which initially made us optimistic. But then the real Kaiserbad experience followed: 2 hours and 15 minutes of waiting for the (rather uncomplicated) main course (ordered around 8:00 p.m.), which was finally served at 10:15 p.m. When we asked, the waiter explained to us that we had caused the problem ourselves because we ordered the starter and main course separately. No apology, no small snack or aperitif to make up for it - just a remarkable composure in dealing with the waiting time. Conclusion: If you have a lot of time and are prepared to excuse the service with a smile, you will definitely find what you are looking for here. For everyone else, we recommend spending the evening somewhere else.

Megaaaa. So ein tolles Lokal. Ich war bereits mehrmals hin und jedes mal war es super lecker. Das tolle ist das die Karte auch immer abgeändert wird so ist es jedes mal etwas anders.Sehr,sehr lecker.

For Monday an alternative price for food in the upper range.

Nice place, relaxed beer garden. There is still room for improvement when eating, the burger was a bit drowned in sauce, which wasn't that tasty either, the meat was a bit small, the salad was also a bit drowned in the dressing. But it's not too bad, the nice ambience makes up for it. It looked very nice inside too.

Good food in many price categories... You can always find something and so far everything has been very tasty...

The perfect “customer” is maximally submissive, changes naturally and must be quite solvent. But in return you get complaining about a lot of work and unskilled temporary workers. There is obviously no other way to save the suffering gastronomy in Leipzig.

We had reserved in advance, luckily, the restaurant was filled to capacity. Nevertheless, served super quickly, very friendly, highly motivated staff and top quality food. Not just today, we've been here several times.

We were here in a large group (16 people) The ambience, both inside and outside, is stylish and invites you to linger. The drinks and food came quickly despite the location being full and for the most part it worked really well. Only the prices are a bit sporty in relation to the food. All in all it was great and we will definitely come back.

Oh well …. We arrived and waited 25 minutes until we were asked about the drinks. As we were waiting for our food, mice ran over our feet (we were sitting outside) when our food came, we got something different than what we had ordered... of course we let it go back and then waited another 15 minutes until the food came. It was then served with the statement from the service “our chef is so incompetent he can’t even read” well I don’t know if you should say that about your colleagues. Eating outside was also impossible because there is an extreme wasp problem there. All in all once and never again. BUT! The burgers were very tasty and the home-made fries were great.

Had a wonderful evening there yesterday. Everything was really right. The food was great, the service was super friendly and the restaurant itself was great too. There is also a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Am thrilled. 🤩

Great breakfast in a nice atmosphere

We wanted to spend a nice evening here together. We sat outside. The ambience wasn't bad. The service leaves a lot to be desired. We waited well over 30 minutes for our drinks alone. Then the food order... We waited a little over an hour for our food, which was a complete disappointment for some of us. The fact that a Wiener Schnitzel costs 22 euros is one thing. The fact that half of the plate is just a leaf of lettuce and the other half is three fingertips of fried potatoes and a small schnitzel is another matter. With faster service and a value-for-money dinner, this would certainly be 2 stars more.

We get the smallest table, every other couple gets a table with a decent size... I wouldn't have tipped...

Unfortunately, I have to realize again and again that the service staff are completely overwhelmed and I wish that more people would work there to relieve each other's burden when there are a large number of guests. Nice ambience on the Karl Heine Canal. The beer garden is unique when the weather is good, but the restaurant also looks cozy. Schnitzel very tasty, burgers good average. Many types of beer. Goose perfect.

We booked the fantastic ballroom at the Kaiserbad with an adjoining terrace for our wedding. Thanks to Ulli and Thu, the planning and the associated arrangements were super uncomplicated. Requests were responded to very flexibly. There was even a super sweet cake tasting beforehand. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We and our guests were extremely satisfied with the service and buffet catering.

We were there on June 9th. in the Kaiserbad for breakfast. 10:00 a.m. After half an hour someone finally came to take our order. After another 1/2 hour the drinks coffee and cappuccino arrived. After these were cold, breakfast came. Something like that doesn't work for breakfast today. We were disappointed. What's the point of having friendly staff if the service isn't right? The products were off the shelf, which doesn't mean they weren't tasty. Tipping doesn't just depend on smiling staff. Nevertheless, the restaurant is recommended. You just had a bad day on the 9th.

Not recommendable. If you order a breakfast for around €20, a coffee and a glass of tap water to take a tablet, the water is refused. Reason the boss doesn't want that. Then I didn't want to stay there and left.

Very nice place with a nice people

Go out for a delicious meal. It tastes good and there is a variety of food. Some prices are already at the upper end. I didn't get or taste exactly the extra of the prizes. Good but a little more expensive.

Super nice location for breakfast with a great selection of delicacies. Unfortunately the rolls were no longer crispy but the omelette was super tasty. I would have liked to have been contacted by service a little more often to see if I needed anything else. All in all, definitely highly recommended.

Wir waren am letzten Wochenende mit unser Familie das erst mal nach einer Empfehlung dort. Das Restaurant macht einen guten Eindruck , die Speiskarte war vielversprechend und auch der erste Kontakt inkl. die schnelle Bestellung war noch ausgezeichnet. Doch dann begann der Horror: Bestellte Getränke kamen erst nach einer längerer Wartezeit und nach den Vorspeisen. Danach mussten wir wiederum längere Zeit warten, bis die Hauptspeise serviert wurde. Unsere Getränke waren mittlerweile schon ausgetrunken und wir versuchten in der Zwischenzeit etwas nachzubestellen, ohne dass das aus unserer Sicht vielzählige Personal von uns Notiz nahm. Nach längerer Zeit gelang es uns mit einigem Nachdruck eine Bestellung abzugeben. Der Kellner nahm diese auf, machte aber keine Anstalten die seit über 30 Minuten vor uns leer stehenden Vorspeiseteller abzuräumen. Wie von uns in dem Zuge vermutet kamen dann irgendwann die Hauptspeisen . Die leeren Teller standen immer noch vor uns . Stattdessen forderte uns die Kellnerin die Vorspeisenteller selbst wegzunehmen. Das von mir bestellte Kalbsschnitzel wurde als "Kalbsgeschnetzeltes" in mehren kleineren Teilstücken mit "schwarzen" Bratkartoffelstücken zubereitet. Auf meine Reklamation hin wurde der Teller anstandslos von der Bedienung wieder mitgenommen und ein neues Schnitzel versprochen. Aber stattdessen kam nach schnellen 5 Minuten später eine weiterer Kellner mit dem gleichen Teller und dem Hinweis, dass der Koch diese nicht tauschen möchte und die Fleischeinwaage auf dem Teller genau soviel ist wie bei einem ganzes Schnitzel. Ich lehnte dankend ab, da ich ja gemäß Karte ein "knuspriges Kalbsschnitzel" und keine Schnitzelstreifen bestellt hatte. Der Kellner nahm es dann einfach wieder mit Auch als wie schließlich bezahlten gab es kein Wort der Entschuldigun und ich verlies das Restaurant einigermaßen hungrig. Aufgrund der großen und guten Alternativen in Leipzig werden wir dieses Restaurant in Zukunft meiden ..

Great ambience and super friendly service. However, I don't think it's value for money. We were there for brunch and I would have liked a more balanced selection. The quality and taste of the dishes were okay. The coffee was very good :)

Man sitzt sehr schön, die Atmosphäre ist entspannt. Leider ist das Personal, obwohl zahlreich, nicht besonders aufmerksam. Alkoholfrei bestelltes Bier kommt mit Alkohol (absolutes no go), das Besteck kommt erst Minuten nach dem Essen. Auch, wenn es nicht voll ist. Schade.

The only thing nice here is the ambience. The service is subpar, you wait for what feels like an eternity until the service staff comes and then you simply need an eternity until drinks or food are served. I absolutely cannot recommend it, even though I have given the establishment several tries.

A not so nice experience... At 6:30 p.m. the table was reserved for 8 people including 2 kids and the order was placed at 6:45 p.m. At 7:15 p.m. the two children's meals and a few starter soups that were ordered, which were unfortunately cold, were served. The actual dishes came to the table at 8:50 p.m. The service simply couldn't manage to communicate technical problems from the kitchen to the customers so that they had the choice to leave, instead they said: it only takes a little while. Unfortunately the visit was a failure.

Nice outdoor area in the courtyard and friendly service, but that's all. We waited over an hour for our food. The side of fries with the burgers, which you have to pay extra for, were so tiny you could count them on one hand. The schnitzel with fries doesn't even come with a small side salad. The taste was ok, but for the price the quality and especially quantity weren't right. Kaiserschmarrn was so caramelized/burned that you couldn't get it off the plate. Aperol Spritz is much smaller than elsewhere, but has a high water content. The service responded to our criticism in a friendly manner, but it was clear here too that there was simply a lack of proper training/education. Conclusion: In the Kaiserbad you can clearly see the lack of specialist staff coupled with “shrinkflation”. It's ok for a coffee in the beautiful beer garden, but not for anything more.

Everything is just right here. Mandatory visit every time we are in Leipzig. Great price performance. Delicious food

Beautiful atmosphere, generally attentive and friendly staff. The waiting times for the food are catastrophic (1.5 hours). Unfortunately, this is not uncommon and has been the case on almost every visit so far. I also find it questionable that two ingredients that were listed on the starter menu were missing from the plate. Unfortunately I can't tolerate this at such prices. When we asked the service, the first question was whether this was on the menu. Yes. Afterwards I at least received one part later, the other part was forgotten again. Without apology or anything like that. In general the portions are quite small. The 4 mountain cheese dumplings were the size of half a table tennis ball. Unfortunately, the expectations were not met.

Very nicely located restaurant on the Karl-Heine Canal, we sat on the terrace, the atmosphere in the restaurant is very chic and looks very new. The food and the homemade lemonade were delicious, the service staff was super nice. From there stairs lead down to the canal and you can take a nice walk.

The food was good, but the table right next to the kitchen is unfortunately not for a pleasant evening as it is very loud there.

It is recommended to reserve in advance. If you haven't done this, the "placement" will not go in the same order, despite the same number of people. The key is to get the right service personnel at the right time. Luck is part of the deal if you don't make a reservation.

We waited 45 minutes for our starter and sat in front of empty glasses. After asking, the food came ice cold, soup was only lukewarm, when asked they brought a tablespoon. No apology, just the comment: “there are a lot of people sitting outside”. Maybe, but that doesn't mean you have to ignore the guests inside. That was my last visit here :)

The ambience is great, unfortunately the previous table wasn't even wiped down. The service seemed overwhelmed, even though there were still seats available. It took a while before we could order, which was okay... but what annoyed me most was that we had to wait over an hour for our main course... that's really very frustrating and you're offered a coffee as an apology? A coffee with dinner on Saturday evening? If it takes longer, that's okay... but you should just inform the guests beforehand and ask if it's okay. Because just before 9 p.m., looking for another restaurant that you've been waiting for forever no longer makes sense. The taste was okay, but nothing particularly special.

The Kaiserbad is really an exceptional restaurant with a really nice ambience. The service is very attentive and friendly. They respond to special requests and ensure that their guests feel comfortable. The food was really tasty, but for a full five stars it would have had to have been seasoned a little better. A small obstacle for people with disabilities are the three steps without railings at the entrance

We have been eating here since 2018 and have always been very satisfied. You could call us regulars if we are there several times a week. Because my wife wasn't feeling well, we wanted to order pasta to take away. On the phone they said that this wasn't possible. I said that I was a regular customer and had already taken this with me once. On the phone they just said they had never seen me before, it is questionable how one could judge that on the phone. It's a shame but it was my last visit here. The sentence to the kitchen when I came there could have been left behind. One star because the food is great.

My husband and I have been here several times for lunch and dinner. Really nice atmosphere! The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. The food tastes very good and there are often some special, creative dishes. We've never made a reservation before and have always gotten a table.

Excellent kitchen! Our contact person in Leipzig recommended it because ‘nothing that is served there is ever bad’. And right she was!

Unfortunately, we were forgotten after the initial service and after I pointed this out at the counter and ordered something, it took a very long time until the cake we ordered arrived at the table. The cake was super delicious. I previously had a soup that was a little too salty.

Delicious food in a cozy outdoor area

Wow! Even the first time we were impressed by the location, service and the quality of the food. Most of the time a repetition results in a little disillusionment - not here! Very pleasant interior design, modern and yet homely. Both times a young man from the service was responsible for us - attentive, really nice and constantly looking after us. That alone was TOP! Menu with a few dishes, but the quality was amazing and tasted outstanding. Nice drinks menu with some unusual things. A great new discovery for us in the west of Leipzig - we will try the breakfast soon 🙂. To the whole team: Thank you for your great work and hospitality!

It wasn't our first visit here and as always we were very satisfied. Food tastes really good, drinks too. The waiters are very friendly, the atmosphere is right. Online table reservation worked well.

Once again we were invited to the Kaiserbad. Big disappointment! The burger wasn't cooked through, but rather raw at the core. The otherwise great schnitzels were “crumbly” and really small. We know it differently from the Kaiserbad. But the fried potatoes took the cake. Old, soggy and (surely for this reason) packed under the schnitzel. The fries and fish, on the other hand, were excellent and the cake was very tasty. The service was also excellent. Just like always.

There were 4 people who tried our luck without a reservation. Although it was very full, the service found a small table for us...when a larger one became available, they offered it to us. Everyone very friendly and helpful. The food is very good and the cake is a revelation. We would like to come again.

Very good food, the quality is high. Tastes great. The staff is friendly and attentive. Nice location and great ambience. Very cozy. We came here without a reservation. I would mentally deduct one point. We had a space with a view of the kitchen - “that leaves some room for improvement in the overall experience”. Private stories about the kitchen staff, the serving staff and the food arrangement, if the restaurant is not directly designed for this, are “not that interesting” for the guest ;-)

This was our second time here for breakfast/brunch and it won't be the last time. You should definitely book a table in advance otherwise it won't work. The breakfast for 2 has a great selection and extras are implemented without any problem. Unfortunately, last Sunday we had to wait a very long time for our breakfast - we had no idea whether we had been forgotten... Gladly again Kaiserbad...

The drinks and food were very tasty. Unfortunately, the service was not very motivated and we even waited 25 minutes for the bill even though there was hardly anything going on. Some of the tables are so close together that there is little privacy.
