Pizza was ok, but unfortunately came to the table cold. Great: some vegan options. But the taste is rather boring. Very nice service, very good beer. Nice atmosphere. Can you go there?

Disappointing, this place would not survive in Napoli. I went there excited to try their portafoglio pizza, and went home sad. They store these pre-made pizzas in a bucket, warm it up in an electric oven for 30 seconds, and the result is this soggy, overly expensive load of bread with very little filling. The only reason I would give 2 stars instead of 1 was the mozzarella they use which tasted quite authentic.

We really enjoyed it here. The lemonades are very tasty and the service also did a great job. I think his name was Roberto. He was attentive and responded to our special requests. We'd love to come back!

My Margeritha was really great and I will come back for her again. I thought it was a shame that the ambience was just mediocre at best. There was hardly anything going on, but my table was dirty, the service was mediocre and the generic club music was uncomfortable and out of place. It's a shame because the pizza is really good.

The pizza was delicious, but there are definitely better ones in Munich. Too expensive for that in my opinion. The employees were quite stressed and inattentive. The ambience seemed quite cold and not that inviting to me. It is also quite loud. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend the store.

Guys, that was nothing, pizza was brought to the table only lukewarm. It was the overwhelmed employees' fault; there was nothing going on but no one felt responsible for bringing the pizzas to the tables. There was actually enough staff on site. An ingredient was missing from the pizza and was only removed from the bill when asked. Overall, not a highlight.

Unfortunately, this pizza was a major disappointment. The crust was dry and flavorless, and the overall experience was bad. To make matters worse, the service was equally disappointing.

Ended up there because kids were hungry. Shop not inviting. Prices for the food are not justified. Berry lemonade only tasted like lemon and sweet (€5). The pizza pan was burnt in many places (€6). Pizza Margerita (12€) was unfortunately not worth the 12 euros in terms of taste. Bruschetta is 2 small, heavily toasted pieces of baguette with a tomato mixture (€6). Drinks €4.50 each (Fritz Kola and lemon soda). We won't come again and wouldn't recommend the restaurant. If the post helped you, please leave a like.

Has absolutely nothing to do with a Neapolitan pizza!

Recently it was my favorite pizza stop, unfortunately the last two times were incredibly subterranean. Maybe a new pizza maker/ingredients. Unfortunately it really doesn't taste like anything, the cheese isn't tasty. Kind of cheap. Unfortunately, this no longer corresponds to the prices at all. Especially Cola 0.33 for €4.50 is tough. Well, luckily there are plenty of other spots. I won't come again for now :((

Italian pizzeria near the Isar Gate. Inside is a medium-sized room with an unpretentious design. There are many waiters, the service is fast and polite. English speaking staff. The menu consists of a festive assortment of pizzas (including the clearly hated Hawaiian pizza for 99 €), as well as a large selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There are promotions for students and other people. We ordered 3 different pizzas (Prosciutto, Salsiccia, Capricciosa) and homemade lemonade with schorle. The pizzas were large in diameter, on thin dough, clearly from the oven. Everything is very tasty. At the same time, some of the pizzas are clearly not with Italian ingredients (caramelized onions), it is clear that there is also a Bavarian influence. All dishes are served quickly. On weekday evenings the atmosphere is quite calm, there are free tables. There is also a popular story throughout Munich with electronic tips before paying a check; less than 10% is difficult to choose. I think that they could immediately do 5% on the display. Otherwise everything is fine.

My visit to the Restaurant Pepe am Isartor was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant - and that is solely due to the completely incompetent and outrageous behavior of the restaurant manager, Roberto. This person clearly has no idea what it means to serve guests, let alone run a restaurant. We were treated with an arrogance and indifference that was simply shocking. The manager was not only extremely rude, but downright insulting. He made absolutely no effort to take our complaints seriously and instead brushed us off with a callousness that lacked any level of professionalism. It's hard to believe that someone with such a disgusting attitude towards customers even works in the restaurant industry. I can only advise anyone not to enter this restaurant as long as this person is in charge there. This behavior is not only inexcusable, but an insult to any guest who expects to be treated with respect. I will make sure that everyone around me also avoids this place.

Was there yesterday Saturday afternoon. The staff is always friendly and attentive - they often ask if everything is OK. The restaurant is nice and simply furnished, I especially liked the red statue of the Madonna. You don't have to wait long for the orders. I shared a bruschetta with my companion. Very tasty and fresh, highly recommended as an appetite stimulant. I tried the Altbairisch Hell from the Bürgerliches Brauhaus there for the first time and in my opinion this beer is in the same league as Tegernseer Hell and Augustiner. Very tasty. Now about the pizza. I ordered the Diavola and I have to say the size is perfect. The pizza is freshly prepared. The ingredients are all fresh, you can see and taste it. Pizza edge nice and fluffy as it should be. The sharpness is in the middle range and was very easy to handle. The salami was very tasty, as were the caramelized onions. I would definitely order them again. Clear recommendation from my side. I will definitely stop by again when I get the chance.

The pizza is tasty, but not classic Neapolitan. The edge is simply not fluffy enough and didn't have the classic air bubbles. We still enjoyed it, especially because it was generously topped. The service is a bit unprofessional, but friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is rather casual, good for an evening with friends. Drinks were also good.

American tip idea when paying with a card. Dough or the edge is large-scale production. Salsiccia without fennel. Not worth the price.

We arrived at 7pm on a Monday evening without a reservation and were seated straight away. The extremely friendly staff also took our order very quickly. We had a Pizza Diavola and a Funghi. The pizzas arrived quickly and were eaten just as quickly because they were so tasty 🤤 Diavola could have been spicier. All in all everything was great 👍🏼 we would love to come back!

Horrible. 1. Starter: Breads were extremely burnt and antipasti vegetables were olives, peppers, eggplants (all ready-made products from a can) for just under €10!! 2. Main course: the pizza took 50 minutes and was partly burnt and partly not even the cheese was melted. The quality of the surface was subpar (finished products/cheap) and that for €20!! 3. half was simply forgotten 4. the service was catastrophic, we had to organize cutlery, napkins etc. ourselves. I don't even want to tell you anymore... by far the worst restaurant I've been to in a long time.

Grauenhaft. Essen verbrannt Vorspeise nur Fertigprodukt. Service unterirdisch. Wartezeit auf Getränke 15min Wartezeit auf Hauptspeise 55min und die Hälfte vergessen. Geschmacklich nicht gut. Schlechtestes Restaurant das ich seit langem besucht habe.

We were there on August 10th. at Pepe and were certainly not disappointed! The pizzas were delicious. One of the best I've ever eaten! Many thanks also to the super sweet and polite service staff. This is how service should be. We'd love to come back!

Pepe am Isartor is a wonderful pizzeria. The pizzeria is invitingly decorated. The pizza looks very appealing, the dough was wonderful and the toppings were not skimped on as it should be. A real Neapolitan pizza. Simply fabulous. I will come again.

I expressly only rate the service here. We ordered five folded pizzas to go. We were told the pizzas would be ready in 10 minutes. After half an hour and two questions, no one could tell us if and when the pizzas would ever be ready. Then we just left after almost 40 minutes. Since many people have described similar experiences in their reviews, I assume that the whole system has it. I don't understand why the To Go service is simply discontinued. The restaurant always says they are sorry in their comments. But apparently nothing follows from this. Too bad.

Amazing pizza shop but super poor communication between coworkers, one of the staff thought I’m going to buy on credit for this meal but I’ve paid since I enter the restaurant😭

The ambience is great, the pizza is really tasty from the bottom, nice and crispy and lots of toppings on the pizza, the staff is excellent, very nice and accommodating. If you have a wish, it will be fulfilled immediately. Very good pizzeria, we will definitely come back.

We were looking forward to Neapolitan pizza and were unfortunately extremely disappointed. Since we have already eaten a few Neapolitan pizzas and have made corresponding comparisons, we unfortunately have to say that this was by far the worst in all of Munich. Burrata frozen on the pizza, mortadella not fresh either. We also had to swallow when it came to the bill. The concept is great but the implementation failed miserably. Please take the reviews to heart or the store won't be around for long. We cannot recommend Pepe.

We went there for lunch and the lunch menu costs 12,90€ for a pizza + drink from the fridge, which is very nice for the area! Unfortunately I was quite disappointed with the pizza. I ordered a Diavola and I felt catfished, it did not look like any of the reviews at all. Additionally, it was not spicy at all, thus I asked for chili oil, which was just plain olive oil with three small shredded chili pieces. The pizza dough itself felt and tasted like cardboard, was not Neapolitan at all as the pictures (and reviews) suggested.. My friend ordered a Funghi with vegan cheese and the cheese tasted like vegan cheese which was sold in 2010 (not good). I am a big pizza lover and this was below average, it tasted like any pizza I could get at my downstairs kebap restaurant..which is understandable for that price, but still, I expected more.

Atmospheric dinner place right next to Isartor. The pizza was average. Considering the hefty price tag, I won‘t come back. After finishing my meal, it took the waiter a good 45 minutes before coming back to our table. Great place to sit outside during summer but nothing to remember.

I went to Pepe's twice. The service was top notch both times: proactive, attentive, friendly, advisory Ambiance: cozy location, modern furnishings, but the best thing is the music: lots of RnB & Hip Hop. You don't hear that often in restaurants, but I liked it both times. Food: the pizza is good, the ingredients were fresh every time. But what disappointed me last time was that it no longer had any Neapolitan pizza character. It was a good pizza - just not Neapolitan with a thick, soft crust.

I went to a dinner with friends. I took the Parma, in short the dough continued to rise inside me, my pizza lacked taste, not very tasty. The thing that really surprised me, but worse, was the cheesecake with the homemade pistachio cream. The waitress who brought them to us for the first time ... it was served in a jar and there was not a trace of pistachio in it. When asked if he had the wrong table, he takes them back and then brings us the same dessert but this time with chopped pistachios. In short, a good and good scam. The staff is friendly, but they really need to invest in the quality and preparation of the food.

Worst service we've ever encountered. At the entrance we were greeted by an unfriendly waiter who brazenly declared that only HE could tell which table we were sitting at. Despite the fact that the restaurant was empty, not a single table was occupied

Don't know what was worse, the service or the pizza. Seldom eaten so badly. The Pizza Hut before was even better.

Nice little Neapolitan restaurant with really tasty food. Here you can get a lot on your plate for a small € 🤤🍕 A visit is really worth it. The restaurant is in the immediate vicinity of the Isartor.

You wait 30 minutes for your food

We wanted to try the folded pizza on site, but were informed that it was only available to go. I personally find it absurd. For €7 I bought a folded pizza that was just half the size of the pizzas in the restaurant. Which wasn't even hot or warm. I really can't recommend it.

Fair drink prices, fast and friendly service. It's not really cozy, pizza was good, fresh, solid. The price is rather higher.

I had the pizza parma. The topping was great, but the pizza would have needed another 1-2 minutes in the oven, which meant the pizza was very doughy and the edge wasn't crispy. Service was ok.

The take away pizza was not fresh. They just heat up the pizza in the oven, but still the pizza wasn’t very warm at all. The guy taking our orders was not very kind. Felt like the take away customers are not very welcomed there. The dough was a bit difficult to eat but the overall cheese and tomato sauce quality was good.

Always wanted to go here and it was always fully booked. And then we thought it was a special pizzeria but unfortunately I think it was very 'average' and I think losteria is better. We sat outside and it took forever for them to come with our order and then the food was ok but not the best.

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience there. The bottom of the pizza was burnt and also tasted burnt. When we showed it to the waitress, she was annoyed. The tomato sauce was much too sour and unfortunately didn't taste good at all. For the price it wasn't used at all.

I ordered a pizza to take away and had to wait 23 minutes even though I was told I only had to wait 10 minutes. And then I got the wrong pizza, I ordered a magherita and got a salami pizza. In addition, the pizza tasted very burnt and there are much better pizzerias in Munich. I won't go there again.

The pizza is very good, with a fluffy crust and very good toppings (I love the Diavola). You sit right on the street, it could be more charming, but the pizza is so good, we're happy to accept that. There is actually only pizza as the main course.

First of all: we usually like to go to this pizzeria. I regularly ask whether my pizza could be left in the oven a little longer because the edge is much too light for me. Unfortunately, our waitress from yesterday didn't pass on this instruction and when I asked her about it, she took the pizza (Mortacci Tua with mortadella and pistachio pesto and burrata) back with her and had it put in the oven again (the burrata was taken down because it was complete). too cold and not creamy) which resulted in it becoming inedible. The pistachio pesto became super bitter and the mortadella was totally greasy. The pizza should no longer have been served like this in the restaurant. It's a shame, but coupled with the absolutely arrogant and unreasonable manner of the waitress with the Om tattoo behind her ear, we were there for the last time.

I went once and what I can say is that the service is EXTREMELY SLOW (only the blonde waitress is good and hard working), even if you have booked a table it will take ages to sit at your table.

Unfortunately, I can hardly understand the positive reviews. The pizzas were very bland in taste. The ingredients didn't taste fresh and the dough wasn't cooked through. Unfortunately for me, at least on this evening, these pizzas had very little to do with pizza. The homemade drinks tasted watery. The service was quick, even though the restaurant was very busy. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't very motivated, which was probably due to the stressful evening. The ambience was stylishly furnished and clearly tailored to a target group between 16 and 25.

Bored and unfriendly waitresses (both of them), mediocre pizza but correspondingly expensive in Munich. Incorrect menu, wrong drinks brought and discussions and unprofessionalism began. Once is enough, it's better to go straight to the Uyghurs around the corner...

I don't recommend it. The dough was still soft (although it was already partly black) and had hardly any taste. The surface was ok, but didn't feel fresh. The Homemade Ice Tea was very nice. Nice and quick service despite the restaurant being full. Pizza was also ready very quickly.

We stopped in for a late lunch but were still on time for the lunch meal deal and got 2 pizzas and 2 drinks for €24. Incredible value and a large selection of pizzas to choose from. They were absolutely delicious and the best we had in Munich. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting.

Was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was another shop hyped on social media, but the pizza is really great. And this is said by someone who is not the biggest fan of the Neapolitan pizza places. With Pepe it is extremely light and doesn't feel heavy on the stomach. The topping also made a very high-quality impression and rounded the whole thing off perfectly in terms of taste. No frills, just classic, good pizza. Service was very nice and quick and the tables were nice and big and not too close together. Plus on Wednesday you get 0.2 Birra for one euro

Somehow I can't quite understand the vibe around Pepe. A fairly correct pizza, but without any particular pizzazz. I thought the Diavola would be pleasantly spicy, and so the spiciness barely tickled anywhere far away. The lemon-ginger soda tasted super artificial, an impression that roughly matched that of the grimly wilted mint dangling from the glass - so the aesthetic impression wasn't amazing, unless it was a still life. The waitress is currently on notice because she gave the impression that she had to perform an unpleasant duty or is this just a standard for you when it comes to service?

Service overwhelmed and probably therefore 0% friendly. Folded pizza to go is empty and really nothing special... You can also get a slice from the kebab shop.

Were there on June 22nd, 2024. The pizza was very good. Service was very nice. The main order could have been taken a little quicker, but otherwise it was great.

Die apathische Kellnerin und ihren genauso teilnahmslose Kollege haben Getränke vergessen und ewig gebraucht. Die Pizza war gut aber nicht gut genug, dass man von der ganz schlechten Bedienung wegschauen kann.

Wir waren schon paar mal dort. Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und freundlich. Letztebs haben mein mann und ich dort unser 20 jähriges gefeiert. Sie haben uns ein Teramisu geschenkt. Sehr aufmerksam. Pizza ist auch sehr lecker. Wir kommen wieder :)

We picked up the folded pizza here. The service was super funny and the pizza was rock solid. Unbeatable price at €6. The insider tip is the different sauces that you can get locally and put on your pizza as a topping.

Tolle kleine Pizzeria, mit super leckerem Essen. Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen. Einziger Manko, wenn es voll ist, wird der Tisch bei 2 Personen nur für 1.30h reserviert, was ich persönlich etwas als stressig empfinde, leider mittlerweile aber sehr üblich ist…

We were given the worst located table even though half of the other tables were empty. Reason was that I reserved late so I was given that that table. We didn’t even sit and eat as it is not a very good experience to sit and dine right next to the entrance and to the counter where delivery people wait for their food to get ready. It was simply too noisy and not a very good atmosphere.

Solid pizza, but nothing special I was at the pizza restaurant recently and have to say the pizzas were solid. Service was OK but nothing special. Overall it was an average experience. If you're looking for a simple pizza, Pepe's is an option, but there are better pizza places in town.

I was very hungry, so I really enjoyed it. However, on my margarita pizza I didn't know that the extra buffalo mozzarella was served cold. That didn't suit my taste. Unfortunately, my wife found her funghi pizza much too runny and almost wet... but it's normal for mushrooms to lose water... but unfortunately that was a little too much water. Otherwise the service and speed was TOP... THANKS

Super long waiting time, even though no one but us was standing at the window. Pizza is not made fresh, it is already ready and is just heated up. Accordingly, only lukewarm, the dough was soft and the mozzarella inside was still hard and cold. I find the idea quite funny, hence 2 stars. But I wouldn't come here again for food

Good ambiance, but the vegan pizza wasn’t the best I’ve had. The dough was quite chewy and the vegan cheese too sweet.

We actually wanted to go to Pizza Hut for old times' sake. But there's a Pepe in there now. We tried it out Pizza for around €15 is quite expensive, but very tasty. Large, fluffy dough, well topped and juicy and delicious. Didn't regret the visit. Very friendly service too. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely go again.

Very basic pizza. Soggy, cold, and the dough is too soft and not flavorful, tastes too yeasty. I ordered the margarita with Buffala mozzarella. I received a pizza covered in mozzarella cheese with a cold ball of Buffala mozzarella on top. This has never happened, the buffala mozzarella should replace the original mozzarella - not double cheese. I eat a lot of pizza all over the world and lived in Milan for 4 years, so I know good pizza. This is not Napoleon pizza. This is not good pizza. I didn't finish the pizza even though I was hungry. Very disappointed. For the ambient lighting, replace the extra bright white light LED spotlights for a candle or something less blinding.

It can’t be worse, pizza with super cheap products, service very lazy to even pickup plates after 30 minutes, but ofc prices just on point 😊
