My favourite brunch place in Munich :) very unique food and friendly.

We ordered the menu mezzo for 50€\person. The food was good but the offer is not worth it. We only got 3 meals and not really much a variety to try different things. Definitely nice service and atmosphere but I’m missing the usual flair our culture has with tapas.

Service was quick, but otherwise unremarkable. I found it cheeky that a large cappuccino cost €5.20 when it arrived looking like a small one. It was probably only about 0.2 liters with a bit of milk foam. The noise level in the restaurant was absurdly high. I tried several times to have a conversation with the person opposite me. Since you have to leave after two hours, it wasn't a problem because we could catch up outside... You were only allowed to sit on stools, which wasn't very inviting. Therefore, there was no cozy atmosphere. The food was expensive. €15 for an egg with pita bread and guacamole, hummus, and sweet cream cheese. The food tasted good, except for the bland bread. At the end, when I paid, the server made a comment that made me frown. If the drink prices were reasonable and the atmosphere (noise level, length of stay, etc.) better, I would have given it 3 stars. As it is, only 2 stars.

Beautiful Details in the decor and presentation, can see why it's a top notch brunch place. Everything was quality and fresh. We got the set for two people and a Jasmin green tea. Very fragrant. Great eggy pancakes. The chocolate sauce was a highlight for me, as well as the paste made out of dates. Came on a weekday for lunch and it was nice and empty. Hard to get a spot on the weekends.

Nice little restaurant with a good breakfast.

We went there for brunch. The food is delicious. The portions are large, so you'll definitely leave satisfied. Consequently, it's very popular, so unfortunately, despite having a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes. The prices are also a bit high, but it's definitely worth a visit.

Very attentive and friendly staff, the food was really delicious, plentiful, and a bit different. The gluten-free bread was tastier than many regular breads. The decor is also nice, only the acoustics in the small shop are a bit harsh.

Sensational breakfast!!! I'd love to come back

The brunch was okay, but nothing more. There was a good selection, but nothing special. The coffee was okay, albeit a bit bitter. The food was fresh, but rather average in taste. The service was friendly, but not particularly attentive. For the price, you might expect a bit more.

We had lunch at Maria. The food was truly delicious. The menu was varied, and the drinks were intriguing. We had the Schmusie, the spiced coffee, and two Schwarmarias. The juice was truly delicious; the coffee gets 4/5 stars. The interior itself has a slightly oriental feel. It's quite nice, but I find it rather cramped and uncomfortable. However, we had the shabby seat at the end of the corridor. You can definitely see right into the kitchen and watch the chefs at work. On top of that, it's also one of the loudest restaurants... You have to like it. I prefer a quieter place.

We saw how busy it was and decided it was a good sign. We were not disappointed. Breakfasts with a middle eastern touch. Loved the dips which accompanied my eggs breakfast with wonderful light breads and olives. A real gem to find while riding our bikes.

I was at Das Maria in the evening. I hear a lot of good things about the breakfast, but the dinner menu didn't impress me at all. There are only a few mezze dishes, the portions are small, and the prices are really high – for example, over €10 for four falafel or €16.90 for hummus with some bread. The spinach salad and halloumi also didn't impress us. The taste was more tweaked than authentically Arabic, and the rustic tableware seemed more worn than charming to me. Overall, unfortunately, it was disappointing.

The dinner was far too overpriced for the small portions, and the lamb tasted absolutely nothing like lamb. We sent back two of the four portions because they were too salty. A refund wasn't even an option for the staff; they only offered us a soda or a coffee as compensation. After a long discussion, they graciously agreed that we could still get a refund for the two portions with a bill of €180. The price-performance ratio and quantity ratio here are completely out of place. The staff were rather unfriendly and incompetent. A total disgrace.

I have to admit that I had high expectations coming here, as this location is heavily featured on social media. Nevertheless I was completely surprised by the friendly service and the amazing food! We ordered meze to share, all of them were delicious! I highly recommend this place. Atmosphere: we sat on the terrace, it's a quiet corner in the Glockenbachviertel. All in all, an amazing evening!

Super good quality food, you need to order at least 2-3 tapas per person

Had the best brunch here in ages. The shakshuka was great, and the dishes on the neighboring tables also looked great. Service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was nice and cozy. I also want to highlight the excellent tea selection. Maria will be a regular on my list from now on when I'm in town.

Reservations are very important, especially on weekends. Extremely friendly service and excellent advice. On warm summer evenings, it's a great place to sit outside. The price is high, but absolutely reasonable for the service. Prices are a bit high.

Three of us went for breakfast this morning. The service and the entire team were very friendly and quick. The food was a treat. A different kind of breakfast. Very tasty and well presented. At €80 for three, it's not cheap, but it's definitely worth the price.

Important difference: breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is super delicious and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, not at all in the evening. The food is delicious, but the prices are insane. We find the value for money of the vegetarian mezze menu so poor that it overshadows everything else. It would have been cheaper to pay for the dishes individually instead of the set menu price. It almost felt a bit like a scam. I won't go back, even though I've always been a big fan of breakfast.

The staff is friendly, the food itself tasted okay - unfortunately, the vegetarian menu in the evening is not worth the price at all. The three of us had to share a main course, preceded by smaller plates for starters, although according to the menu, the dishes individually would have cost much less than the €150 for three sets. We brought this up, and our feedback was warmly received. However, we still paid far too much and went home hungry. Furthermore, you pay the same price for the vegetarian menu as for the meat and fish dishes, which are also much more expensive on the menu. We were kindly offered cake as compensation. However, after the slow, individual courses (consisting of a single plate for three people), which took a total of 2.5 hours, we decided we wanted to go home. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the meze menu in the evening.

It's a cool place with a unique menu and flair. The food, even at breakfast, unfortunately varies greatly in quality. But it's presented really cool. Edit: We've since been there for dinner. It was truly fantastic and a cool experience. Ideally, there should be at least four people and share dishes.

Hey, the quality of the food is very good, as is the ambiance and service. But for me personally, the value for money isn't right.

The food was great, but the service was really disappointing.. We waited over an hour for our food even though it was getting less and less crowded when we came. Our follow up order was also forgotten or very late and we had to ask for our food multiple times. At the end after we complained about waiting for so long in the heat (and my friend was breastfeeding a small baby) they offered to bring some water and we specifically asked for tap water which they agreed to. However they brought sparkling water and charged us for it. At least they agreed to remove it from the bill at the end. It‘s too bad because the food was very good but it’s not okay to wait for over an hour for an avocado toast, french toast and musli.

An absolutely beautifully decorated restaurant, as well as the food itself. A real eye-catcher from start to finish. The taste of almost everything totally surprised and impressed me! I had a nousnous (mocha with milk), which I was expecting a bit more. On the other hand, the freshly squeezed juice was truly delicious, and the teas are also an absolute highlight. I would recommend everyone to take one of those home with them! We had a reservation and therefore had no trouble finding seats, but others did wait quite a while, which I consider a negative point. The service was a bit overworked, which made it difficult to get someone to our table at times. Overall, though, I think the experience here deserves a full 5 stars, and the small areas for improvement are really just "nitpicking" :)

Unfortunately, Maria disappointed me. The food has little to do with authentic Arabic cuisine and, in terms of taste, is far from what you'd expect. Furthermore, the prices are definitely too high for what's offered. The biggest downside, however, is the strong smell of grease that wafts out of the kitchen, affecting not only the restaurant but also the entire neighborhood. It's truly unpleasant, and I'm surprised there haven't been any complaints from residents yet.

Extremely overpriced for what it is! While the service was very good and the atmosphere quite pleasant (albeit noisy), the food was truly disappointing for the price. The lemonade had very little taste—though not exactly bad, just bland. The falafel raised our hopes, but what followed was decidedly sub-par: the eggplant itself was good, but it was drowned in an unevenly seasoned tomato sauce, which made the whole dish taste like little more than tomato sauce. The halloumi was just meh, and the worst was the kofta (Lammköfte): poorly or outright wrongly seasoned—it tasted like a cheap meatball—and again served with more tomato sauce. I mean... it’s okay, but paying over €25 for meatballs in tomato sauce? The quality simply doesn’t justify the price. All in all, extremely disappointing. P.S.: two stars for the food represents how overpriced it is for the taste.

Delicious food (we went for mezze in the evening) and friendly service. A bit too expensive (the portions are quite small) and the chairs are incredibly uncomfortable, making you want to leave quickly. The food selection isn't extensive, but if you're flexible, it's quite sufficient. If you have intolerances or restrictions, it can be difficult to find something that satisfies you. This wasn't a problem for us.

We had breakfast at Maria and were pleasantly surprised! The selection was varied, lovingly prepared, and tasted absolutely delicious. You can immediately tell that they use high-quality ingredients. The price is a bit above average, but you'll definitely be filling – all in a lovely setting. I especially love the brunch at Maria! The brunch for two is absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, the service is a bit slow. If you want more bread, you'd better order right away. Last time we went, we had to wait 40 minutes, and by then we were already full.

I am giving such a low rating because it feels like it was a scam. It’s supposed to be 20-30€ per person. The main dishes cost around 25€ the portion is ridiculously small, 2 mini drumsticks and a handful of vegetable. We got up hungry and had to go to Ali’s superfood to cease our hunger. Service excellent, atmosphere ok. Never again. Mostly because of the lie.

I love the food and the ambiance. If you like Levantine cuisine, this is the place for you. If the restaurant is quite busy, you can expect long waits. However, this is clearly indicated on the website.

Waiting times were outrageous even though it wasn't that busy (one scrambled egg took over an hour). The prices were simply exorbitant: cake and coffee for just under €10...

We went for brunch on a Sunday and everyone was more or less satisfied. I found the prices too high. The yogurt had a strange flavor (no, I don't mean the spices), but it wasn't a complete disaster either; the fruit, the granola, and the coffee were delicious! I can also quote a review by "Nik" from about five months ago, as this dish also surprised me: Maria in Tel Aviv - "is a shakshuka, which is why 'Tel Aviv' is the wrong name, as the dish is primarily of Maghreb origin and only became Israeli since the 1950s. Please do not support theft or falsification of history." 🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and almost feels like a fairytale from "One Thousand and One Nights." Everything was delicious, so I would recommend ordering as many different things as possible so you can share and try them all. The homemade drinks were delicious and refreshing. There was a mix-up with the quantity of our order, but the serving times were short, so it was resolved fairly quickly.

We were there for breakfast. I had a Marrakesh, a tea, and a Nous Nous (mocha). The portion was generous and delicious. Service was quick and friendly. The outdoor seating is quiet and not too crowded. The Arabian ambiance is very appealing. Unfortunately, the reservation was only valid for two hours, and then we had to leave. Otherwise, I would have liked to try one of the numerous beautiful cakes.

Really good food! It was my first time trying this type of food, and I really enjoyed it. The friendliness of the staff is particularly noteworthy. We quickly found our way around and received good advice. The only thing I deducted was one star because it's quite cramped depending on the table, and the prices are noticeably high. The three of us ate almost €200, and we ordered an average amount. I think the top rating is a bit inappropriate. Nevertheless, I would gladly return if I had the chance.

We went to the restaurant spontaneously and decided on the menu. Looking back, we were unfortunately negatively surprised at the price/performance ratio. The taste of the food was unexciting and the portions were manageable - even for a set menu. The service was attentive at the beginning and unfortunately noticeably slow towards the end, so that our empty glasses received little attention. In summary: Unfortunately, sobering.

The food has always been excellent. I had breakfast at Maria several times. The seating both outside and inside is nice and it's cozy. The staff is also very friendly. However, you should bring your time, as preparing the food here usually takes longer. But the wait is worth it.

Unfortunately, after 15 minutes someone notices you despite repeated eye contact, you have to ask today whether you can order, or where did we end up here? Then ordered avocado bread, nothing more. Then, after another 20 minutes, the same waitress asks if she can take the card with her and also clears the cutlery from the table, so that's enough. That's where you pull the ripcord. 0/0 stars deserved

The service was super nice. The food was also tasty, but I found the portions to be very small and very expensive. I ate the vegan eggplant. I think almost €18 for a small grilled eggplant with tomato sauce is very steep. Even if the quality is good. I didn't get full and for pure vegetables, the amount was really very generous. It's a shame actually.

I've been to this café/restaurant several times and always really liked the atmosphere - especially the sunny terrace in the morning and lunchtime is a real plus. The staff is also generally friendly and attentive. However, on my last visit I noticed that the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly over the last few years. Sometimes the seasoning is very generous, which masks the inherent taste of the dishes. Unfortunately, our order was overlooked, so we had to wait almost an hour for our breakfast.

Very positively surprised! We spontaneously went there on Saturday evening without a reservation and got a table without any problems. The waiters were nice. All dishes were delicious. The portions were ultimately sufficient, even if it may seem “small” at first. The waitress recommended 3 to 4 tapas and that worked. The two of us ordered 3 different tapas with bread and didn't order more because we were full. In addition, the terrace is recommended when the weather is nice, the street is quiet enough :) I would go again and try other dishes.

The food was tasty, but unfortunately the portion size wasn't right. In my opinion, the concept of “Oriental Tapas” doesn’t work. In addition, the acoustics in the store are a disaster. Sometimes you don't understand your own words.

Don't come here at all, just have the Turkish breakfast, the waiters are incredibly rude, they fight, there are no rules, they apply them as they please (especially look at the terrace, the blonde waitress).

Bad reviews because no free water? This place was great! Props to the top service and to the chefs for a veggie menu that deserves a Michelin star :)

The high prices for simple dishes seem more like marketing to a different audience. Overall, I didn't find the value for money convincing. The food was okay, but the drinks (e.g., the hot chocolate drink) weren't my cup of tea. For my taste, the spices that were missing from the food were too much in the drink. The tables were very close together, and the service was visibly overwhelmed, as a single server was responsible for many guests.

Extremely poor price/performance ratio. Here you have to go home hungry if you don't want to ruin yourself financially. Large portions, as they are called on the menu, are a joke and represent half a starter, but for around €20.

Although the service and atmosphere were very good, I found the pricing to be extremely disproportionate. €17 for a small portion of hummus, two pieces of bread and a single cauliflower floret marinated in vinegar seems excessive. Even if the chickpeas were carefully hand-picked, such a price is difficult to justify

A great place for breakfast or an afternoon coffee! It is advisable to make a reservation on Sunday mornings, it is very popular here - understandably. The staff is nice and there is a very large selection of breakfast dishes, but also tea and other drinks. I would love to go back and try out the rest of the menu :) There are lots of sunny spots outside, which is particularly great in spring/autumn. In the summer I would rather not sit outside at lunchtime.

There were 3 of us there and we had a baby with a stroller. I understand that it's tight there and it's difficult when everyone wants to take their stroller in. After some discussion, we were allowed to fold the stroller and stow it in the cloakroom. I think the restaurant could consider child-friendly options, such as offering locks so you can lock the stroller outside. It's just an idea now. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem particularly child-friendly. The food was very tasty, but the price was rather high.

We had ordered a table for two people at 11:30 and were there 5 minutes after our reserved time - but unfortunately still had to wait 15 minutes until our table was free. That's far too long for my taste after a reservation that has to be confirmed again the evening before. But the staff was super friendly and accommodating. There's nothing wrong with that at all. The food was okay, but for the price it was neither convincing in terms of taste nor quantity. Many others like it there too - perhaps our expectations were simply too high. The success certainly proves them right, but we won't come back again.
