My first Chinese restaurant in Berlin, no surprises! This Chinese restaurant opened by a Beijinger is very delicious and highly recommended! The three of us ordered beef tenderloin, king oyster mushrooms and braised eggplant, as well as their homemade iced black tea. A big bowl is free🍚

Pasta with duck. Duck was just fat and gristle. My companion had rice. Both dishes tasted mediocre to bad. Definitely not after 20€.

The roasted duck skin was soft not crispy and the dipping sauce was very salty. The other dishes were also not good.

Service is very rude since they think we are all tourists and never come back. It is ILLEGAL to not offer tap water in Germany. And they refuse it like we are insects. I am going to make a request to ordnungsamt to make sure that they know that they are illegaly don't offer water to the guests. It is even printed on their english menu. But interestingly not on their german menu. For eg. I would happily give as tips what I would have anyways spent on water. Why be lazy and rude about it?

The bill on the tray was too dark, not everything could be seen and the waiter didn't give it out of his hand. When asked and only after paying, the paper printout came. Unfortunately, it wasn't until we were on the bus that we looked at the bill and realized we had been cheated. Food was good and plentiful but ended up being cold.

I thought this may just be another westernized Chinese joint offering dishes over saturated with brown sauce. I was wrong, and I was pleasantly surprised. I have never had such a well prepared snow pea dish that is dry cooked. Now I have a new dish to try at home. So very home cooking, at least the two veggie dishes I ordered. Two thumbs up by a Chinese vegetarian.

2024 After 6 years, we came back to eat here, and i must say , the food is still out of this world. The staff is very attentive and pretty quick. Congratulations !!! Das Essen wurde geliefert - 2,5h Lieferzeit über Lieferando. Laut Restaurant war das Essen schon 1,5 zuvor abholbereit. Die Frühlingsrolle hat entsprechend geschmeckt. Bei dem Eierreis wurde der Sonderwunsch (Sojasprossen weglassen) nicht erfüllt. Ansonsten sind die Preise für die Qualität viel zu hoch!

Ik dacht ga lunchen. En tot mijn verbazing was het erg druk in het restaurant. Ik kreeg een tafeltje helemaal achter in een donker hoekje. Nadeel als je alleen bent. Kreeg een uitgebreide map met het menu, tekst en foto's. Ik koos voor kip met kerrie. Het was best lekker, had wel wat meer kip in gemogen, maar ondank dat de kaart "pikant" aangaf was dat zeer zeker niet. Maar goed mijn lunch was goed en ik heb tenminste geluncht.

More being than appearance. You shouldn't be deceived by the first impression. The restaurant, located in a prefabricated building, looks like a normal Chinese restaurant from the outside. Inside it surprises with a very reserved decoration and interesting pictures. You can also sit outside, but facing the street. The service is attentive, fast and friendly. Questions are also answered helpfully. It is also noticeable that there are many guests of Asian origin. We were really impressed with the starters. The homemade kimchi was spicy and slightly sweet and had its own twist. The 1000 year old eggs were delicious and the fried mushrooms were really amazing. The Peking duck, which is eaten with vegetables in wafer-thin pancakes, was delicious and just right thanks to the ingredients we put together ourselves. The soup with tofu and Chinese cabbage rounded everything off. We will definitely go back and work our way through the menu. Only the green tea ice cream at the end was too mild for my taste. I've eaten better than that.

Service and ambience were so-so, but we found the food really tasty and there isn't just the typical selection like at the Asian snack bar. The tofu in one of our dishes was very soft and wobbly which was not what we expected. Both sauces tasted great and the fried mushrooms were also something different.

The food didn't live up to what the menu promised. Instead of crispy duck on a hot cast iron pan, there was a lukewarm plate with lukewarm duck and wobbly skin. The marinated pork belly was also lukewarm and didn't taste good either. The rice came to the table hot and the sour hot soup was the best of our orders. The ambience leaves a lot to be desired.

Went to this restaurant because of the good reviews. The starters, stuffed dumplings, were absolutely worth the money. For the main course we had the highly praised Peking duck... the waiter runs through the restaurant with a whole duck to tell each table that it will take about 10 minutes. You then get a cut-up duck on prawn chips, which is unfortunately dry - we had a few pieces that were unfortunately not edible. The pancakes are also dry on the edges, as if they had already been lying around for a while. The entire menu costs €66 for 2 people... My husband would have eaten it alone without a starter... Poor value for money. We were there once, it stays that one time.

The crispy duck and rice combo has helped me through my parents divorce while i was studying abroad in berlin. i hope to return to berlin one day so i could come to this restaurant and have their food again.

The quick lunch in between is actually quick and yet tasty and filling. For around 10 euros (where can you still get that today?!?) you can get a soup and baked poultry with rice and vegetables. Great location right on the Mall of Berlin, friendly service and extensive selection of food.

A restaurant specifically for group tours. During the meal, I saw about 60 people coming in. No local Chinese people came to dine. It's a Chinese restaurant, but the taste is suitable for foreigners, mostly sweet and sour, and all foreigners come to eat there. The lunch set is cheap but the portion is very small. We received very friendly service this evening and had a good, inexpensive meal. The dishes could have been presented a little better. If you want to eat in peace and quiet and away from the hustle and bustle at Potsdamer Platz, you're in good hands here.

What is served as food here is a disgrace. The chicken lunch plate had two shredded pieces of chicken in it and was also served cold. Absolutely no recommendation. Only positive point. The waitress just wanted the coke paid for.

When we entered they told us that the POS machine is "not working" and that we must only pay cash. After we paid, they gave us no legit receipt and just showed us what we ordered on the phone. Both duck dishes we ordered were subpar. The kitchen is stuck in the seventies. Unimaginative sauces that were so starchy that the spoon in them stood upright. Vegetables in micro-fragments, barely noticeable on the plate. If you want to spoil your evening, this restaurant is recommended.

אין לי מושג על מה המסעדה הזו קיבלה דירוג גבוה. הזמנו מרק חמוץ חריף - היה טעים אבל... לא חם כנדרש ממרק. גם עודף קורנפלור ועודף מלח. מנה שהיתה מאד מוצלחת - ספרינג רולס. עדינים וטעימים מאד. למנות עיקריות הזמנו חזיר מזוגג בדבש - הבשר היה יבש וקשה. הכל היה מלוח מדי. מנת נודלס עם עוף היתה לא טעימה ומלוחה מדי. בכלל - עודף המלח גרם לכך שלא יכולתי להבחין בטעמים. מה שכן - המנות גדולות מאד ונדיבות, הצוות מאד אדיב והמקום נקי ומטופח.

Die Küche dieses Restaurants ist in den siebziger Jahren steckengeblieben! Wenig, bis gar kein Gemüse. Mit zuviel Stärke angedickte Soßen. Für die schlechte Qualität viel zu hohe Preise. Nicht einmal der Mango Lassi entspricht dem heutigen Qualitätsstandard, die Dose aus der das Mangomark kam konnte man/frau förmlich schmecken. Wer sich also den Abend verderben möchte, sollte hier einkehren!!!

I've wanted to go there ever since the Berlin Wall came down. It had a great reputation back then. But now??? Goes down the drain, in all areas.cash only says it all... food like it comes out of a can, with no taste and carelessly prepared and served. And prices like a grand... What a shame, the next restaurant will probably close soon

... my absolute "favorite Chinese" and a must every time you visit Berlin - the starters alone are in a class of their own! It goes without saying that the furnishings are tasteful and the service is friendly, competent and attentive. I would still have one small point of criticism: It is absolutely understandable that the staff would want to get off work early after a strenuous day. The kitchen closes a bit early at 10 p.m., especially since you often don't get anything much earlier. The Peking Duck is one of the best restaurants near the Philharmonic and it would be nice if you could dine here after a concert. Eating beforehand is usually associated with stress and a very limited enjoyment of music.

We ate there for lunch and all four of us were very disappointed with the food as none of us liked it. I ended up leaving most of the food on my plate. We're definitely not coming back.

Das Essen war sehr gut, das Menue sehr umfangreich. Hatte den Eindruck, dass die Essen sich doch positiv vom Standardchinesen unterscheiden. Seltsam fand ich nur, dass ein Essen als das Lieblingsessen von Mao angepriesen wurde. Nach meiner Ansicht ist das so, als ob ein deutsches Restaurant Hitlers Lieblingsspeise anbieten würde.

I wanted the Peking Duck, the house specialty, but my husband wasn't very hungry. Instead, we ordered dumplings, fried green beans, mapo tofu & he had the Tom Yum soup. It was so much food. Everything was truly delicious & full of flavor. The mapo tofu had such wonderful umami and my tongue went numb from the Szechuan peppercorns. It was prefectly balanced. The dumplings were truly delicious. The sauce really highlighted the fresh herbs. The green beans, though, stole the show. I have not ever found such tasty beans in Germany. It was like being back in Beijing. This place is a true gem. Can't wait to come back for the Peking duck.

Wir sind seit vielen Jahren hier Gast im Hause. Das Essen hat uns immer gut geschmeckt und auch der Service war stets gut. Heute (22.12.23) waren wir gegen 17 Uhr dort. Nur 4 Gäste, kalte Atmosphäre, keine Musik und unfreundliches Personal. Wir waren kurz davor wieder den Laden zu verlassen. Trinkgeld gabs bei diesem schlechten Service auch keins! Wir kommen auch bestimmt nicht mehr wieder!

Ich habe das Restaurant heute Abend gerade besucht und war zum ersten Mal dort essen. Die Serviceeinstellung einiger Mitarbeiter ist sehr unangenehm und unenthusiastisch, vielleicht weil wir Vietnamesen sind :) Was andere Deutsche und Ausländer betrifft, bedienen sie mit einer sehr freundlichen und enthusiastischen Einstellung. Leider hat das Essen, das wir früher bestellt haben, auch viel länger gedauert als das, was später kam, was eine sehr deutliche Diskriminierung zeigt. Vielleicht ist dies das erste und letzte Mal, dass wir das Restaurant besuchen. Auch wenn wir nicht zufrieden waren, akzeptierten wir dennoch 10 % Trinkgeld für das Restaurant :)))

Zwei Mittags-Menüs bestellt mit Vorsuppe. Bei Aufenthalten in Berlin war ich mehrfach in diesem Lokal und bis dato eigentlich immer zufrieden. Dieses Mal müssen meine Begleiterin und ich leider Abstriche machen. Nachmittags waren nicht viele Gäste im Lokal, der Service hätte daher schneller reagieren können, zum Bezahlen musste meine Freundin etwa 10 Minuten nach Essensende aufstehen und das Bedienungspersonal informieren. Zum Essen selbst: Von der durchaus wohlschmeckenden Suppe hätte ich gern noch etwas mehr in dem Schüsselchen vorgefunden, sie hätte überdies heißer sein dürfen. Nach unsererem übereinstimmenden Empfinden hätten die beiden Hauptgerichte heißer sein können und müssen. Es war knapp vor der Reklamationsgrenze, aber beim Bezahlen habe ich auf die Temperatur des Essens hingewiesen. Schade, ob ich beim nächsten Berlinbesuch dort Gast sein werde, werde ich noch überlegen. Vielleicht war es nur ein einmaliger Ausreißer, aber kann ich das wissen?

Салат с медузой, с морской капустой, закуска из баклажан и пельмени. Пекинская утка. И еще пришлось заказать ассорти пельменей, чтоб наесться до конца😏 Пришли специально ради пекинской уткой, ее не нужно предварительно заказывать. Но не подают суп, его отдельно надо заказывать. Утка понравилась, но не так, что постоянно будешь ее есть. На один раз достаточно. Эксперимент. Дорого.

Update 2023: Mein liebster Chinese in Berlin. Hatte einen tollen Abend mit meiner Freundin. Das Leibgericht des Heerführers Zuo ist wirklich zu empfehlen. Der Service ist sehr gut und schnell. Man muss nicht auf alles ewig warten wie in vielen anderen Restaurants. Der Laden ist schön ruhig. Freue mich auf das nächste Mal! Unter den vielen Vietnamesischen und Thai Restaurants eine willkommene Abwechslung. Viel Auswahl auf der Karte, sogar mit echten Fotos. Sehr freundlicher Service. Gerne wieder

Die Hauptspeise war Reis mit Gemüse, das Gemüse war in einer Schleimsoße wo keinerlei Geschmack war. Der Service war sehr unfreundlich und nicht war nicht zu verstehen.Das Restaurant hat gar keinen Stern verdient, da ich zur Bewertung eine abgeben muss, vergebe ich Zähneknirschend einen Stern.

November 2023 Die Besitzer der Peking Ente versuchen jetzt schon zum 3. Mal meine Bewertung über Google löschen zu lassen. Ich möchte nicht Wissen wie viel schlechte Bewertung so schon verschwunden sind. Aber ich spiele das Spiel bis zum Ende mit. November 2021 Nachtrag: Ich habe die Sterne von 3 auf 1 Stern geändert. Nach 4 Monaten meiner unten geschriebenen 3 Stern Bewertung, versuchte der Betreiber der "Peking Ente" über Google meine Rezession löschen zu lassen. Zur Begründung hieß es, ich würde in keiner geschäftlichen Beziehung stehen und mein Profil wäre ein fake Profil. Das habe ich nicht auf mir sitzen lassen. Für mich ist das ein Armutszeugnis des/ der Betreiber. Statt auf die vielen negativen Bewertungen einzugehen, wird lieber versucht schlecht Bewertungen löschen zu lassen. Wer weiß wie oft das schon geklappt hat, weil die Leute nach monaten keinen Lust haben das Gegenteil googel zu beweisen. Hätte ich nicht reagiert, wäre meine Bewertung auch automatisch gelöscht worden. Juli 2021 1. Eindruck der Tische außen eher 1,5 Stern. Der Zustand/ Sauberkeit der Tische eher Imbiss Niveau. Keine Dekoration und keine Karten an vielen Tischen. Also läuft man rum und sammelt sich die Speisekarten zusammen, die vereinzelt an leeren Tischen liegen. 2. Die Karte selber ist sehr unübersichtlich gestalltet. Das ist aber auch eine asiatische Eigenheit. Aber diese hier im Lokal, toppt schon viel. 3. Preis ist schon sehr gehoben. 10 Euro für Bratnudeln mit Hühnerfleisch / 12 Euro mit Ente ist eine Ansage. Geschmack war ok, aber vom Niveau nicht über 3,50 Euro vom China Imbiss. Dagegen ist das Niveau in anderen von mir besuchten China Restaurants merklich höher. Ich möchte aber nicht zu sehr auf den Preis herumreiten, denn die Nebenkosten des Lockal kenne ich nicht. 4. Auf die Frage hin, ob für meine Tochter ein verkleinerte Portion möglich wäre, wurde mir gesagt dass dies nicht gehe. Ich sagte er solle einfach weniger auf den Teller machen und 1-2 !!! Euro abziehen. Nein das wäre nicht möglich war die Antwort. Bei jeden Bahnhofts Imbiss geht das, nur da nicht. Da die Portionen aber sowieso nicht so reichhaltig wie bei der Konkurrenz ausgefallen ist, war nicht soviel übrig geblieben. Dafür kam das Essen sehr schnell, was aber vielleicht an den wenigen Gästen lag. 5. Was mich aber dann total nervt! Wenn man fertig ist mit Essen, die Teller mit zusammengelegten Besteck am anderen Ende des Tisches stehen hat aber keiner kommt und fragt ob wir noch was wünschen oder Zahlen wollen. Nach über 15min bin ich dann aufgestanden, haben einen Kellner herausgeholt und mitgeteilt das ich Zahlen würde. Waren ja zum Glück auch 2 Kellner da, für 4 belegte Tische. Dieser konnte meinen Wunsch zu Zahlen zum Glück noch dazwischenschieben.

Die Suppe schmeckte wie mit Wasser verdünnte Sauce und Gemüseresten von mittags, das vegetarische Gericht war einfach nur Gemüse in undefinierbarer Pampe

Wirklich ein echtes Genuss-Erlebnis! Es war wirklich super lecker. Chinesisches Essen, wie es wirklich ist. Echt authentisch. Wenn ich mal wieder in Berlin bin, komme ich wieder schlemmen.

Ein ganz besonderes chinesisches Restaurant, das man von dieser hohen Qualität in Berlin bisher vergeblich suchte. Allein die Vorspeise "gezupftes Huhn" mit einer feinen Komposition aus Reisessig und Shezuanpfeffer und weiteren Gewürzen war bereits die geschmackliche Überraschung. Das Hauptgericht, in Honig glasiertes Schweinefleisch, setzte die positive geschmackliche Überraschung fort. Selten habe ich so rafinert und ungewöhnliche gute Geschmackskompositionen genießen dürfen wir hier! Ich bin sehr begeistert!
