The beer garden is nice, but the prices are tough. They are almost rude for helping yourself and sitting outside. Especially since top quality doesn't justify it. It's also a shame that there's only one cash register for everything, so you have to wait in line for a long time every time you run out of drinks. The concept definitely needs improvement.

Completely outrageous astronomical beer prices for a beer garden. For 5.10 euros I can get at least half a box in Kaufland. And I have to pick up the beer myself and can drink it just as easily on a bench as in your beer garden. You will also be cheated on. Have you ever heard of a calibration mark? I'm conflicted about the concept of "server yourself". Basically a good idea, which was well implemented in combination with "Tag", i.e. buzzer when the order is ready and the option to order online. However, if I have to wait 15 minutes for a beer, it makes me suspicious. Of course you can still order directly at the counter, which I would recommend. Otherwise nice beer garden atmosphere, good quality food. Is recommended, I'll come back.

It's really a great place to relax! The food and drink are delicious, and the staff is friendly and attentive. However, it is often very crowded and when the weather is nice it is difficult to find a seat. It's still worth it if you have patience!

Nice location, unfortunately the beer wasn't even filled to the mark, not even when asked. The burgers were a disaster. Sweet milk roll with pickled sweet salad and sliced ​​cheese from the supermarket bulk pack. The Burger Patti is flat and has no particular taste of its own. For 2 burgers with fries and 2 drinks (Hefeweise, Radler) a mere €44 This is poor quality performance at an exorbitant price.

Speisen und Getränke sind gut. Wir hatten eine Reservierung mit 20 Leuten an einem Tag mit Unwetterwarnung war uns versichert wurden, dass wir im Trocknen sitzen würden. Als das Unwetter nach etwa 30min einsetzte, wurden die Markisen eingefahren. Der einzige „feste“ Gastraum wurde nach dem Prinzip „first come - first serve“ vereinnahmt. Die Zusage, wir würden im Trocknen sitzen, und unsere Reservierung waren wertlos. Wir saßen im Regen. Sehr schade und leider nicht verlässlich.

Ambiance is like any other beer garden. The food is super good, but unfortunately you just have to hope that you get the right thing because either people don't listen properly or the good gentleman at the counter has a bit of a problem with his ears. So it's better to check again before you pay and then get something wrong.

I don't know, maybe I'm a hopeless romantic, but when I order a schnitzel with fries from the menu under the "Rackwitz Specialties" section, I assume it's a FRESHly breaded and pan-fried schnitzel. When I get a deep-fried frozen schnitzel, I can understand that for economic reasons, but I'm still kind of disappointed. If the garlic bread consists mainly of flabby toast instead of toasted, crusty bread, then in the end, even if everything else is great, there will be a bland aftertaste...

There were six of us. Reservations are highly recommended, it was very full, not all guests found a place (reservations are only accepted until 6 p.m.). Self-service at 2 drinks and one food outlet. Queues are often long, so ordering via pager is highly recommended. Food mixed quality, the goulash very good and hot, the fries not that great. The goat cheese wasn't baked properly. The burgers were ok.

The beer garden is located on the edge of the large garden. Well located. Maybe I was just guided by the previous reviews to visit this one. The Czech beer Staropramen was/is very good; also the elderflower chorla. Unfortunately not the food. The fries were Versalsen and the bratwurst I've seen better. It was probably just due to the heat of the day. Still, it's a shame...

The beer garden is located between the Lipsiusstraße and Karcherallee train stops in the Großer Garten! It's not very big, but it's so spacious that you can't immediately hear the conversations at the next table! Especially in the evenings it is super cozy with the lights! The staff is super friendly and relaxed! The drinks are great and not overpriced either. The food is ok, not a life-changing experience, but definitely solid! However, I think the prices are a bit overpriced for what you get! Still, a nice place to meet up with friends and spend a nice summer evening!

We were here during the week to end the evening. There was a lot going on, which made it very noisy and difficult to have a conversation. The food was perfectly fine for the price, but you had to wait quite a long time for it (plus the wait in line to even place your order).

Having reviews removed doesn't help either, I stick with the fact that the pulled pork burger I last ate here wasn't worth its name or price. The (perhaps) cheapest bread there is and overall it looked like a heap of misery.

I'll give it 5 stars, otherwise I'll get another lawsuit from Google, the owner had reported me for defamation, I gave it 3 stars and wrote about it.......that was years ago, unfortunately I didn't take a photo of it, If you're not allowed to express your opinion, then good night.

This is the second time we have come here during our 5-week stay showing my Kiwi husband around my hometown. My sister highly recommended the beer garden to us, and as a German, I like beer gardens, but not the Oktoberfest. But spending a hot summer afternoon here is a splendid choice! The food is plentiful, tasty and filling. And after living almost 20 years in New Zealand and having travelled halfway around the world, I have finally found the perfect crispy and soft kumara fries (Süßkartoffel-Pommes). A real surprise!!! There is also a great selection of drinks ... you should try the grapefruit Radler for a refreshing treat. So, if you're in Dresden and whether you're from Downunder or European and you like to spend a not too busy summer afternoon in a beer garden, this is the place to go!

When I go to the Great Garden, I almost always pass this beer garden. It is actually always well attended and is open even when the weather is less good. It is even open in autumn and winter and offers suitable drinks. The selection of beers is varied, even if not all of them suit my taste. The food also offers a varied selection and the preparation is quick. However, you shouldn't expect restaurant quality. Nevertheless, this beer garden is always worth a visit as long as it is not overcrowded. 😊

The freshly prepared dishes were very tasty. We had BBQ burgers, sweet potato fries and pretzels. I would like the pretzels to be made warm, it just tastes better. Drinks also came very quickly. The men's toilet was OK, the women's toilet was terrible. Flushing didn't work, so the basin was full of all kinds of... oh, let's leave it alone. We'll come back anyway, I think the toilet problem will be solved quickly.

We (6 people) were in Rackwitz yesterday. Food and drinks were good, unfortunately it seemed to us as if the waiters at the counter had no overview and couldn't cope with the rush. We sat at a table near the dish return, it's impossible for me to write. The gentleman (not of German origin) was constantly running. Others on the staff constantly came up empty and gave him “great” advice. My tip, coming from the catering industry, put out trash cans and boxes with labels where something has to go. I think everything would be clearer that way.

Great beer garden. Good dishes at fair prices. The staff is quick and friendly. You can order food and drinks from the table using your cell phone using a beeper and a QR code. As soon as the order is ready for pickup, the beeper will ring. More is not possible. I'll be back!

Delicious burgers and a pleasant atmosphere

Was expecting a little more. As a tourist, it wasn't recognizable as a self-service restaurant. We sat at the table for 5 minutes until we understood the system. Schnitzel was ok, it's just a frozen fried schnitzel. The fries could have simmered in the fat a little longer and otherwise a nice beer garden.

The gastronomy has a beer garden feel, but stylish, self-service, partially covered, and seats in the massive outbuilding... all in all, really great 👍

Gestern (28.4.23*)war sehr schlechtes Wetter den ganzen Tag. Und Kalt. Da macht der Biergarten beizeiten zu, weil keine Gäste kommen. Nicht so das Rackwitz. Die hatten nämlich eine Reservierung für einen 6-er Tisch um 17.30 Uhr drin. Von mir. Aber statt abzusagen hat eine gutgelaunte Mitarbeiterin (blond😀) am Tresen auf uns gewartet. Und in der Küche ein ebenso lustiger Koch. Kurzum; die beiden haben uns einen phantastischen Abend credenzt🙋‍♂️ Ambiente, Bedienung, Essen, Kommunikation alles überragend.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Und zur Belohnung kamen dann sogar noch ein paar andere Gäste. Was die beiden nicht wussten, wir hatten einen lieben Gast aus Ungarn, der am nächsten Morgen wieder abgereist ist. Und ohne den überragenden und aussergewöhnlichen Einsatz der beiden „Rackwitzer“ hätten wir niemals so einen schönen und unvergesslichen Abend gehabt. Rackwitz Neue Welt ist ein prima Möglichkeit bei einem Spaziergang im Großen Garten eine Pause zu machen. Im Winter kann man sich an einer Feuerschale wärmen. Heizstrahler sorgen unter der großen langen Tischüberdachung für Wäme. Man kann sich Kissen, Decken und Schaffelle holen. 👍 sehr gut! Kunsteiseisstockbahn sorgt für Unterhaltung. Angebot an Getränken und Speisen ist abwechslungsreich und passt genau zum Lokal. Ob warm oder kalt, da findet man sicher das Richtige. Szegediner Gulasch oder Süßkartoffelpommes, Bratwurst, Thaisuppe, Tagesgerichte etc. , das Angebot ist sehr gut gespannt. Und es schmeckt gut. Schön das es tschechisches Bier, Staropramen, gibt. Wir kehren immer wieder gerne dort ein. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Waren zum Eisstockschiessen vor Ort gewesen. Einfach und unkompliziert online gebucht und bezahlt. Hat super geklappt. Die Einweisung vor Ort war super. Haben zwei Stunden gespielt und die Zeit verging wie im Fluge! Dazu gab’s Glühwein. Der Service war super freundlich und total unkompliziert! Bei der Lage waren wir erst bisl skeptisch. Direkt an einer Hauptader in Dresden. Haben dies aber nicht gespürt! Einzig der Fakt, das keine Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür waren. Ein Platz zum Ein- & Aussteigen ist aber gegeben. Toller Event zum Einstieg in eine Weihnachtsfeier! Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Dass dieser Biergarten sowohl werkstags wie auch am Wochenende bei nahezu jedem Wetter sehr gut besucht ist hat seinen Grund, denn hier stimmt nahezu alles. Grünes Ambiente, sehr gute Speisen- und Getränkeauswahl, das Essen ist dazu gut gemacht und geht über die typischen Biergartengerichte hinaus. Dazu vorbildliche Sanitärräume! Im Winter ist ebenfalls geöffnet, man kann dann hier Glühwein an der Feuerschale trinken. Besondere Pluspunkte: - ausfahrbare Schirme, sodass auch bei schlechterem Wetter weiter im Freien gesessen werden kann - bei "Ladenschluss" kann man trotzdem solange weiter draussen sitzen wie man möchte, man wird nicht rausgeschmissen - bei Andrang lange Wartezeiten werden auch klar so kommuniziert - extra Theke für reine Getränkeabfertigung Einziges Manko: Sehr wenig Fahrradstellplätze. Super!

Sommer wie Winter kleiner feiner gemütlicher Biergarten. Im Winter gibt es Eisstockschießen.
