All four dishes I ordered were tasty. I found the prices reasonable, both in terms of quality and quantity. The drinks were a different story! They were too expensive considering everything is self-service. The chairs are uncomfortable.

In 2022, the beer garden was an absolute hit. However, the quality has declined so much that even the otherwise healthy food isn't healthy anymore, but is diluted with fatty ingredients (maybe cream). Sausages look and taste like they've been deep-fried, beer is getting more and more expensive, and today I had a takeaway fries that were so hard and dry that they hurt my throat and pulverized inside when I bit into them. With all due respect, I'm sure you're trying your best to serve everyone, but this is no longer of quality. Since I'm from Striesen, I often go to the large garden and have also been to Rackwitz many times. Because the people are nice and I like the atmosphere, I kept coming back. I haven't eaten here in a long time because of the above-mentioned reason. After today's experience, it will stay that way for the next few months. As a neighbor, I'm happy to give it another chance next summer and hope for improvement. Otherwise, Rachwitz is out of the question for me. The money and the disappointment are really not worth it (anymore). (Photo of fries from today. Hard and dry. Left out for a long time/fried several times? I couldn't eat a single one. After digging and tasting them several times, they all ended up in the trash.)

A lovely self-service beer garden at the edge of the large garden. We love it there. In the evenings, when it gets colder, they turn on the overhead heaters, so you can sit a bit longer.

Beautifully located on the edge of the large garden. It was quite busy in the evening, which is understandable... The food here is surprisingly delicious for a beer garden, and the drinks were also excellent. We had a lovely evening, thanks in part to the very friendly staff.

Yesterday, we went with two friends for dinner and two delicious house beers. The ambiance and atmosphere were great, as was the beer. But the pulled pork burger was cold. I'm used to the fact that the topping of peppers and onions, as well as the meat, are warm. But I'll be back anyway. Thanks for the hospitality. 👍🏼

The atmosphere is great, and the service staff is also very friendly. Beer costs €5.20, which is relatively expensive, and the line is often quite long. The food is also very tasty.

The place was buzzing like crazy, all the tables were occupied, so orders understandably took a little longer, but everything was absolutely delicious and freshly made.

The atmosphere was really nice, and the fries we had weren't small either. You have to order fries separately with burgers, and I think the price is a bit high considering we picked up our own food. But there were a few small beepers, and we didn't wait long, despite the place being quite full! +There are restrooms

Nice Beer Garden but was very crowded even on a Wednesday evening. Beer is cold and tasty from a local brewery. Food I cannot rate as we only had drinks. For drinks self service is required and faster.

It's worth a visit. A decent beer garden, but nothing more. The food and prices are okay.

We were there in a larger group, which was good. Since it started to rain a little, the awnings were extended so it wasn't a problem anymore. It's entirely self-service with a pager. That's great because you don't have to stand around. Food and drinks can also be ordered online using the pager. So you can order comfortably from your seat and get your food or drinks when they're ready. Great! Waiting times were relatively short, depending on the crowds. The food was delicious. My schnitzel wasn't particularly crispy. Otherwise, I don't think there was anything negative to say.

We were in the beer garden on July 4, 2025, in beautiful weather. It was loud, dusty, and unloved, and the many dirty dishes in the queue for service were also obvious. A little tip: There are better ways to do things. Plant the flower boxes and tidy up. Everything looks unloved. No, it wasn't pretty. The food could be presented a bit more professionally. The latest balance sheet shows a profit surplus. Please invest in this beer garden 🙏. Thank you very much.

A standard beer garden; if there's room, you can have a nice drink. The food is substandard; expect a frozen patty on your burger. 😣 The food could definitely be better. But the atmosphere, beer, and friends make this a pleasant meeting place. Located next to a beautiful large garden in Dresden. If you're not a foodie, you've found a beer garden here.

Location OK, but we waited almost an hour for a simple beer garden meal on a Wednesday evening!

Waren nach paar Wochen mal wieder im Rackwitz. Hatten den letzten Besuch auf Grund der langen Wartezeiten und nur einem geöffnetem Ausschank des Betreibers abgebrochen. Heute ging es schneller mit dem Vortragen der Bestellung. Schon mal gut. Beim Platz nehmen viel uns auf, daß die Tische und Stühle, durch die Bäume darüber total klebten. (mal abwischen?) Das Essen war ganz lecker und auch reichlich. (Brotzeitbrett'l und Bayrische "Leberkäse" Jause) Leider wurde beim Brotzeitbrett'l auf Brot umgestellt. Voriges Jahr gab es noch Laugenstange dazu. Welche mir persönlich lieber war. (Geschmackssache) Abgeräumt wird wie z.B. im Schillergarten, Fährgarten Johannstadt leider nicht. Aber ist kein Muss. Stilles Wasser aus dem Zapfhahn kostet 0,5 l 4,90 Euro. Im Schillergarten kostet stilles Wasser aus der Leitung nichts. Die Frage ist, ob bei beiden das Selbe Wasser ausgeschenkt wird. Sind nun nicht mehr so auf das Rackwitz eingestellt.

We had a reservation and went there on a Saturday. After 6 p.m., the beer garden started to fill up, so we were well advised to order early. We liked the electronic ordering system and the associated card payment. Very convenient! The food was average, as were the drinks. Because the tables were quite close together, you were almost sitting on your neighbor's lap. In my opinion, Ragwitz is a place for a shorter stay.

Luckily, there are plenty of seats, as it can get quite crowded in nice weather. There are no parking spaces, so the best way to get there is on foot or by bike.

Unfortunately, the curry with couscous wasn't edible. The chicken still had skin and cartilage, so it had to be taken apart. The presentation was beautiful.

This place is delightful any day you visit. We prefer their food over the drinks. I would order any of their burgers and sweet potato fries. Good portions leave you feeling satiated. The drinks can be overpriced. They now have a self order system which works well if you don’t want to stand in the line. In the winters they have ice curling stations and warm overhead lamps. Best part being they’re open on Sundays.

Actually a nice place to relax. Unfortunately it's too crowded and there's hardly any space to even get to a table. Long waiting time of 20 minutes to order at the window. What stands out is the pair of Viennese with still warm rolls 💪

It's emotional and romantic. The food is edible in moderation. The downside is that it's a bit cold in the winter, but that's my fault. Anyway, it was good.

It's enough for one drink. Unfortunately the kitchen is otherwise a bit boring. Bratwursts come from the electric grill. The ambience is very nice, only the gastronomy should be better.
