Absolut authentisch .... Leckeres Essen und wundervolle großschnäuzige Mitarbeiter....man kommt einfach gern da hin. Eine echte Empfehlung

Nach Fressen und Saufen durchschritt ich das Tor, auf leisen Sohlen, wie ich mir schwor, trug ich hinaus, was ich darinnen erfuhr. Gar köstlich war der Schmaus, reichlich der Trunk, kein Mangel herrschte, kein leerer Schlund. In finstrer Stube bei Kerzenschein wähnt’ ich mich fern der Jetztzeit Pein. So künd’ ich kund mit frohem Mut: Wer hier einkehret, der speiset gut. Drum ziehet hin, ihr Leut’ geschwind – auf dass ihr gleichen Genuss gewinnt.

Super Essen und super nette Bedienung. Mal ein ganz anderes Ambiente. Mittelalter eben. Macht bitte weiter so.

Wer in Dresden ist und wie im Mittelalter speisen möchte sollte hier vorbei schauen.

So gut wurden wir noch nie bedient, passend zum Ambiente wird mittelalterlich mit Holzlöffel und Holzmesser gegessen. Der Umgang mit den Gästen ist sehr unterhaltsam. Essen ist top und ausreichend. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Super, immer einen Besuch wert! Vor allem am Wochenende, wenn Gaukler vor Ort sind. Allerdings muss vorher reserviert werden sonst hat man schlechte Chancen. Das Essen war absolut mega. Sehr sehr gut. Die Schankmaid war ebenfalls top. Ich komme wieder

Es war ein wunderbares Erlebnis! Unbedingt zu empfehlen. Von der Bedienung, der musikalischen Umrahmung und dem Ambiente, es war der Knaller!

Ein Restaurant mit allem, was man für einen Erfolg braucht. Stilvolles Ambiente, passende Einrichtung, ein echter Hingucker. An den Wochenenden soll es Live-Musik geben, für alle, die gut sehen können. Ja, für Einheimische gibt es Tische mit Blick auf die Künstler… für alle anderen… Plätze mit tollem Blick auf die Wand, wie die Fotos zeigen. Da ich nun schon zum dritten Mal hier bin und immer wieder Probleme mit den Plätzen habe, überlasse ich das Urteil meiner Meinung nach der Interpretation. Das Essen hat, wie die Deutschen sagen, noch Verbesserungspotenzial… so um die 90 %. Was die Speisekarte angeht, wenn Deutsche schon Probleme beim Lesen haben… was soll ich sagen (schaut euch das Foto an… das Spektakel ist gut, das ist das Einzige, was ich empfehlen kann. Wenn euch Nackenschmerzen vom Zurückschauen nichts ausmachen). Zusammenfassend würde ich sagen… verschwendet nicht euer Geld.

Essen war sehr lecker, der Met süffig und die Begleitmusik super. Wer Mittelalter mag ist hier genau richtig.

Sehr urig, nette Bedienung, die sich, passend zum Mittelalter, rustikal gibt: "Was wollt ihr fressen?" wird man gefragt. Essensangebot sehr fleischlastig - ohne Kartoffeln, die gab es noch nicht damals. Essen nur mit Holzlöffel und stumpfen Holzmesser, weil: Gabeln kannte man nicht :-) Insofern: Konzept konsequent umgesetzt ! Und es ist alles lecker, gut serviert und bezahlbar...

Schon von außen interessant gestaltet und beim Reinkommen ein echter Wow Effekt. Rustikal und doch soooo gemütlich. Der Service höflich forsch wie in Mittelalterzeiten sowohl Sprache als auch Deko. Wirklich tolles Zusammenspiel und einen Besuch nicht nur 1x wert. Das Essen so frisch und köstlich und total schön zurecht gemacht.......die Desserts wie bei Mama......Buchten so lecker........ Geht hin und besucht diesen besonderen Ort. Vielen Dank für einen gemütlichen wunderschönen Abend.

Ambiente sehr schön Bedienung sehr ruppig, was zwar in die zeit passt aber schlecht herübergebracht wird und unverschämt ankam. Auch im mittelalter kann man nett zu seinen gästen sein. Die gaugler waren eine Katastrophe. Dudelsack krach bis die ohren bluten und die Interaktion mit den Publikum war grausam. Und definitiv die 10 euro pro person extra nicht wert und eine Frechheit Wir kommen nicht wieder

Sehr leckeres Essen, liebevoll gestaltetes Ambiente und Freitag und Samstag Abend tolle Live-Musik. Empfehlenswertes Restaurant! Früher gab es noch Tiere, aber im besten Deutschland aller Zeiten ist das leider nicht mehr möglich.

Ich habe es im Internet gefunden und wir hatten sogar " Einzelbehandlung". Das war besonders gut, somit konnten sich die Kinder alles in Ruhe angucken. Essen köstlich und ausreichend. Ambiente ist natürlich beeindruckend und für ein oder mehrere lustige Abend hervorragend geeignet. Viel Erfolg wünsche ich Ihnen. Danke für die Zeit.

Ein unvergleichliches Lokal, was seines gleichen sucht. Man bekommt absolut authentisches Ambiente, beginnend bei der Beleuchtung durch Kerzenleuchter, über das Besteck aus Holz bis hin zum Obentürschließer als Flaschenzug mit Gegengewicht. Die Gaukelei ist natürlich das Highlight des Abends, wer es nicht laut mag, kann sich online über die entsprechenden Zeiten der Gaukelei informieren. Wir gehen jedes Jahr in einer Gruppe in Gewandung hin und freuen uns in einer anderen Welt zu sein. Das Essen ist auch entsprechend des Mottos, Wild, Frosch, Huhn, Fisch. Es ist schön angerichtet und es schmeckt toll. Man geht ins Anno Domini aber nicht wegen dem Feinschmecker Essen oder wegen dem edlen Etablissement wo es nur darum geht, online zeigen zu können dass man da war. Nein man bekommt einen Abend lang eine Auszeit aus dem Alltag und findet sich in einer eigenen Welt wieder. Das Personal ist schon sehr lang da und versteht es, mit einem rustikalen Schauspiel auch das bestellen und bezahlen zu einem Erlebnis zu machen. Wir lieben es hier und können es jedem empfehlen, der ein Erlebnis sucht, etwas Besonderes neben normalen Restaurants. Wer einfach nur in Ruhe etwas essen möchte, könnte hier womöglich nicht vollends glücklich sein.

Einmaliges Erlebnis mit Unikatcharakter! Im Anno Domini Dresden kommen Mittelalter-Fans und Interessierte voll auf ihre Kosten! Die Küche ist konzeptionell im Mittelalter angesiedelt, strotzt aber dennoch vor Vielfalt. Von der Wildplatte für zwei Personen über Froschschenkel bis hin zum üppigen Salat-Teller ist alles dabei. Die Portionen sind auskömmlich groß, das Essen schmeckt einfach lecker und ist im mittelalterlichen Ambiente mit Latz und Holz-Besteck auf jeden Fall ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis. Das ServiceTeam lässt sich immer etwas einfallen, um die Immersion hoch zu halten. Die Gangart ist etwas ruppiger, schlagfertig und ohne Blatt vorm Mund, aber immer mit einem zwinkernden Auge versehen und kommt von Herzen. Ganz nach dem Motto: hier wird Mittelalter gelebt! Die Unterhaltung kommt auch nicht zu kurz. Das Musik Programm, bestehend aus meist zwei Künstlern mit Percussion und Dudelsack, belebt das Gasthaus und sorgt für kurzweilige und erfreuliche Stunden. Hierbei wird auch mal von Tisch zu Tisch gegangen und die Gäste werden individuell mit einbezogen, das Wirtshaus sowohl mit Glamauk als auch mit gut-mittelalterlicher Kunst erfüllt. Für fern anreisende Gäste gibt es in der Nähe ebenfalls erschwingliche Unterkünfte. Besonders wohl gefühlt haben wir uns bei unseren beiden Gastgebern aus dem Service-Team: Gina und Mike. Ich weiß nicht ob ihr das lest, aber ihr habt mit eurer charismatischen Art dazu beigetragen, den Abend bei euch unvergesslich zu machen - großen Dank an euch beide!

Rustikale Gaststätte mit tollen Ambiente. Es ist halt keine klassische Gaststätte, sondern eine mittelalterliche Gastwirtschaft. Es passte einfach alles von der Begrüßung, über den Service bis zum Essen.

Auf jahrelange Empfehlung hin, haben wir endlich das Anno Domini besuchen können.. das Ambiente ist ein Traum und man fühlt sich in die Zeit zurück versetzt.. leider gibt es im Gastraum keine lebenden Tiere mehr durch neue Vorschriften (diese machen wir keinem zum Vorwurf- haben die Hintergründe erfahren), allerdings war das Essen leider sehr fade.. wenig bis keine Gewürze und ein wenig 'wässrig' .. Satt sind wir jedoch alle geworden.. der Service war durchgehend super und passend zum Thema, aber gegen Mitternacht hat man leider gemerkt das wir gehen sollten.. Wir machen keinem Vorwürfe der gern seinen Feierabend genießen möchte, aber auch dort sollte der Ton die Musik machen.. in diesem wurde sich leider zum Ende hin etwas vergriffen.. Wir hatten alles in allem einen tollen Abend und mehr gute Erfahrungen machen können, als schlechte, aber es wäre super für das Anno Domini selbst, mal wieder so zu sein wie ihr früher von allen angepriesen wurdet.. das habt ihr euch ganz sicher verdient. Danke dennoch für dieses Erlebnis!

Wunderbares und auf seine Art einmaliges Restaurant. Ohne großes Tamtam wird hier Erlebnisgastronomie der besonderen Art geboten. Großes Lob auch an die Wirtin. Wer frech ist, bekommt von ihr schon mal ein Rußpeeling!

Schmuddliges Ambiente (Mittelalter geht auch ohne klebrige Tische und Essensreste unterm Tisch!), ungehobelte Bedienung (von Service kann keine Rede sein), unterirdisches Essen (total fettig, Fleisch aufgewärmt und totgebraten) zu unverschämten Preisen (dafür geht es locker woanders in die gehobene Gastronomie). Einmal und nie wieder. Ich kann nicht verstehen, wie man sich hier wohlfühlen kann und ich empfehle diese Örtlichkeit nicht weiter.

We were there on December 25, 2025. And it was, as you might expect, absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere (although I do miss the animals) and our favorite mead and food-bringing "maid"... It's always a delight to hear her with her quirky way of speaking. We've already booked for 2026... I love it!!!

A wonderful experience before Christmas. Candlelight, cheeky waiters, and no forks for eating (yes, there were spoons, knives, and hands). Much more authentic than the typical restaurants in the city center and also very easily accessible by train.

A charming inn with a fantastic medieval atmosphere! The staff and service truly embrace the setting and make newcomers feel welcome. The atmosphere is wonderful, the entertainers were top-notch and genuinely embody the culture – that's what makes it so cool! 😎 👍🏻👍🏻 We were here for New Year's Eve 2025/26 and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience!

We left after 10 minutes and our first interaction with the owner. We hadn't ordered anything or eaten. A brusque manner isn't a problem for us, but annoyed service combined with extreme rudeness is. What a shame! We certainly won't be returning. We don't recommend this place.

Well, the staff was completely overwhelmed. They couldn't even handle small requests. The waitress should really consider whether this is the right job for her, or if she'd rather work for, I don't know, something else. The food was great and the beer was good.

I'm Japanese. I was attracted by the atmosphere. The food is good and the atmosphere is great, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, you'll be warned if you don't take off your coat when you enter. Second, everyone is so excited, it can be confusing, but please follow the staff's instructions. First, you'll be asked what you'd like to drink. Finally, there's a 10€ service charge for singing and other things.

My flight is canceled, I find nearest hotel and then go into nearest restaurant, not expecting much apart from some late meal. I was wrong, the place is special. Food was very good, beer is not bad either. But atmosphere was the best. Loud, very loud and fully in your face. Music, banging on the tables, shouting and screaming nonstop. If you like this stuff, you’ll enjoy the place.

It was an interesting experience, something worth having once. Location: The medieval theme is consistently implemented – both indoors and outdoors. The design is coherent, authentic, and overall successful. Food & Drinks: The welcome in the courtyard with mulled wine, a bonfire, and a speech was enjoyable. The appetizer, main course with meat, red cabbage, and side dishes, as well as dessert and drinks, were tasty and of good quality. Entertainment: The jugglers "Gebrüder Nonsens" provided lively and continuous entertainment. The performance is atmospheric, but very insistent – ​​those who prefer a quieter atmosphere might find it somewhat tiring. Indoor Ambiance: The indoor area (tavern) was very crowded, with over 100 guests. As a result, it quickly became warm and noisy, and seating was limited, making the experience less comfortable. Price: We felt the €89.00 set menu was overpriced in relation to what was offered. Bookings are only possible for groups of 10 or more, and we had to reorder side dishes several times. Compared to similar establishments, the prices are significantly higher than usual. Conclusion & Recommendation: For a return visit, we would recommend choosing a more suitable season, using the outdoor seating area (beer garden), and ordering à la carte. Overall, it's a unique experience worth having once – whether you'd want to repeat it is a matter of personal taste.

Excellent medieval-style restaurant with hearty food and an antique atmosphere. During our visit, we even enjoyed live medieval music.

We held our company party there. It was definitely too cramped for 30 people. We had to sit very close together, and there wasn't enough space on the tables to put the food. And we had reserved for 30 people beforehand. It's a cool medieval concept, but it didn't work. It was too crowded and too loud. Sometimes it's better to have fewer, but satisfied, clients…

A huge thank you to everyone who made this evening so special for us. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. Unfortunately, the pets are no longer allowed to participate; they were always something special.

Absolutely terrible. The service was incredibly rude, even if that's the intended concept – a little consideration would still be appropriate. It's not a good start to the evening when your piercing is practically ripped out and you don't even get an apology, but instead get rudely insulted. Plus, I found hair in my food, and the music and general commotion are way too loud. The benches are also incredibly uncomfortable.

Well, what can I say? The food was fantastic. My neighbor had a cheese platter with stone-baked bread. However, the bread truly lived up to its name – like stone and a bit dry. Drinks weren't exactly cheap, but I suppose that's normal by now. If you want to annoy the cheeky waiters, just order a small Coke every time they come. 😅 The first time, they'll say, "In the Middle Ages, there was no Coke." Well, they probably didn't have the champagne on the menu either. So, Coke is a good bet. By the third or fourth time, they'll threaten to throw you out. 😅 But hey, they're just as nice in a medieval way as the Middle Ages probably were. 😉 The musical entertainment was really loud. But when you're already a little tipsy, you tend to clap along the loudest. Except for the bread, a huge compliment to the kitchen. Cooking for so many people is a real feat!

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and the food was excellent. However, having to pay an extra €10 per person for the "entertainers/live music" without this being explicitly announced in the restaurant is outrageous. An email beforehand stated they would arrive at 7:30 pm, so we figured we'd just go then. But no, they started their program at 7:15 pm (one with bagpipes, the other with a drum). We finally left at 7:30 pm, but that meant an extra €10 per person.

Anno Domini, A truly magnificent inn! Hear ye, noble folk! We, four hungry and thirsty companions, recently entered the halls of the venerable Anno Domini. At once we were told: "Hang up your rags and tell us what you'd like to drink!" And truly, what was then served to us was worthy of a knight's feast: meat and pastries, so flavorful and rich that even the strictest court cook would have nodded in awe. The mead flowed like a golden stream, the tankards clinked, laughter echoed through the halls, torchlight danced on wood and stone, and we felt as if we were walking in the halls of ancient kings and noblemen. ... He who desires to nourish his heart and stomach, who has a thirst for feasting and games, mockery and love, let him hasten to Anno Domini, here every palate becomes a hero, and even the bravest warriors leave the room with a merry song on their lips!

At Anno Domini – A Truly Excellent Stop Let it be known: We recently stayed at the Anno Domini inn, four traveling souls, driven by hunger and thirst. And truly, what was offered to us there was a feast such as even kings and noblemen would appreciate. The dishes, rich in spice and exquisitely prepared, left us speechless with delight. The drinks flowed fresh and cool, and every sip was refreshment for body and soul. The ambiance was like a journey through time – torchlight, wood paneling, and sweet music filled the halls, so that we felt transported to days long past. Each of our group was filled with praise and enthusiasm. Thus we proclaim: Whoever desires a good meal, flavorful mead, and a truly splendid medieval atmosphere, let him go without hesitation to Anno Domini!

The location is really cool, the atmosphere a bit rough, but perfectly fine and fun. The musical entertainment was very enjoyable. The food was nicely presented, but my Kassler (smoked pork loin) was quite tough and greasy. But that's a matter of taste. At some point, the staff seemed to have lost interest in serving us, so we paid early and left.

Anno Domini has unfortunately declined significantly in recent years. It used to have a truly medieval atmosphere, complete with jugglers and animals in the restaurant. That was something very special and made us overlook the rather mediocre food. On our second visit, however, only the rather mediocre food remained. The service is friendly and a bit playfully brusque, which is actually quite amusing and fits the ambiance.

Sooooo delicious food, authentic waiters, and a rustic atmosphere. You can just forget all the etiquette and eat as you please.

Great atmosphere, you eat with wooden spoons, wooden knives, and your hands. The portions are very large. We had a meat skewer for two. The meal was excellent, but the side dishes and vegetables were definitely not to our taste. They tasted sour and not at all vegetable-like. However, we would recommend the Anno D.

The restaurant's interior is actually quite nice and stylish. The service, however, is extremely rude and unfriendly, which seems to be part of the business model. Hmm! I would have preferred to leave, but we were in a group. The food (meat platter): from the day before, of questionable freshness and quality! I encountered it the next day. Very unpleasant! Price-performance ratio: unbalanced.

My pork knuckle and my wife's chicken were excellent.

Rustically decorated medieval restaurant. You eat with your fingers or a wooden spoon at the table. A worthwhile experience. Unfortunately, I didn't like the meat at all; it was very fatty and had many greasy spots. I had hoped for more from the food, but it was okay. The side dishes were tasty. The service was okay, a bit unfriendly in my opinion, but perhaps that's part of the concept.

Unfortunately, the owners are extremely right-wing. It's not for nothing that one of our most famous lines reads: Forever 76ers. No room for right-wing agitators.

The medieval concept is very well implemented here. The dining room is very authentic and well-designed. The service is extremely attentive and on point. We were there on Haxentag (traditional pork knuckle day) and had a very boozy evening. The food was delicious, and the wooden spoon and knife provided as cutlery served their purpose perfectly. The other dishes on the menu also sound very promising, and there's a very good selection available. All I can say is, it's absolutely top-notch and highly recommended.

Food top, service a bit "direct", not everyone likes it, when it gets full the air is to cut

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. Our friends knew the restaurant from before and were very disappointed that there were no animals left, except for a lonely rabbit in a stable that definitely smelled medieval, probably because it hadn't been cleaned for a while... The food was average; if you prefer lean meat, this is definitely not the place for you. Even the smoked pork, which is actually lean, was extremely fatty and sinewy, and you couldn't cut it with a wooden knife. They ran out of goulash, which we also found disappointing. The portions were large, but not worth the price for our taste. Only the sauce was truly impressive. The restaurant has a very nice, rustic interior and is lit only by candlelight. However, there were only seven guests on a Sunday evening, which gave us cause for concern. The advertised ambiance on the website is unfortunately misleading, as it no longer exists. It's a shame, but we won't be visiting the restaurant again.

Great restaurant. We ordered the meat platter as a menu. Very plentiful even with hungry men.

The Anno Domini has always been a constant for me since it opened and we have really enjoyed the time with family, friends and business partners, whether just for fun or for celebrations. The reason I am correcting my rating downwards today is that supposed little things have changed in the restaurant that I don't find nice. To be honest, I wonder if it was finally the last time. Specifically, we ordered 3 plates for 2 people each. Twice the duck for €45 and once the poacher's plate for €47. Now we have unfortunately answered yes to the question of whether we want to have everything on one disk. The ducks were good for 2 people and plentiful as always. The Wilderer record was almost impossible to find on the record. Which in itself wouldn't be a problem for me if it weren't for the side dishes. For the 6 people there was a small bowl of red cabbage approx. 100g. as well as the same amount of leek carrots and as a filling side dish there were 8 slices of bread dumplings and another 100g of spaetzle in a small bowl. That was the amount we got two of us on our last visits. This time that was enough for 6 people. That wouldn't be a problem either, because I spoke to the waitress and asked if we could have some more bread dumplings. It was then explained to me that there were always only two slices of dumplings with each duck. I then asked to bring more dumplings for additional payment. Unfortunately this was not complied with. The two jugglers present were good and created a good atmosphere. It feels like nothing has been done in the restaurant in recent years. The concept will probably work for a while and bring one or two guests. For my part, I will have a hard time thinking about whether I go there again. For the amount demanded, I would rather go to a restaurant where I know that I am paying a lot for a small plate but will also get high quality food. Overall, in my opinion, it's time to rethink the concept or to monetize the store's reputation for as long as possible and then close it at some point. I understand that everything has become expensive but for me it was a bit too much. I really enjoyed being a guest and would rather have fond memories of Anno Domini than go back and be even more disappointed. We wish you much success for the future and hope that our suggestions will be taken into account in the future. Maybe we'll try it again sometime when the restaurant still exists.

Food is very fatty. Fried potatoes swim in oil. Staff is not very friendly, at least the ones we met when we were there.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants, the food is super tasty and plentiful so that you'll be full. The inn is very comfortably furnished and the service is always friendly and always has a funny saying on their lips. You really enjoy going there again.

The last shop, I wouldn't have missed anything in my life

If you want to completely escape everyday life, then here. We were there for our 5th anniversary and are both very happy! In keeping with the atmosphere, we also said that technology is prohibited, except for 1-2 photos. You immerse yourself in a completely different world. The waiters are great at the tavern and the food is incredibly tasty! It was a bit of a challenge to eat without a fork, but it was definitely possible and I had a lot of fun. I recommend it to anyone who would like to try something “new old”. We'll be back!

Großes Lob für das exzellente Weihnachtsmittagessen am 26.12.24, alles war sehr geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe zubereitet, wir alle haben uns wie immer sehr wohlgefühlt, besser geht es kaum, wir kommen gern wieder!

Something unusual. It was only when I arrived that I realized what awaited us here. The whole restaurant is laid out harmoniously, the staff and the food are wonderful. Everything went quickly and the meal was made all the more entertaining by the bards' performances. Thank you very much, I look forward to next time.

Very nice location. You are greeted like in the Middle Ages. The food is very tasty and I can only recommend it. The live music on the weekend is great. For family celebrations or company celebrations again at any time.

We were in Anno Domini again. This time with good friends and we wanted to eat something together. So our eager maid Madl rushed around a few times to negotiate something with the chef that wasn't on the menu - so delicious! We felt well looked after the whole evening. We had many a heated argument with Madl. With wit and charm, she always made us feel very welcome. Beautiful inn, great cuisine and really good people.

We had a great end to the year with colleagues here at Anno Domini. The evening was more than successful 👍 and a big thumbs up for the planning, organization and program. For food we chose the meat platter and it was amazing...despite hungry mouths, everyone was full and the initial doubts were quickly put to rest. Our service at the table was purely cheerful and anyone who is delicate here shouldn't go to Anno Domini... There can be some pretty rude comments ☺️. The program was successful and at the end we all went home full and satisfied. You can find cutlery here in the form of wood and you don't eat it, you eat it, you don't drink it, you drink it, you have to go to the toilet, you go to the dung heap and since it's not classy here you get a bib around your neck. All in all very nice.

A real highlight and a great experience

Great atmosphere, great atmosphere with bagpipes etc. Maybe the service had to be like that, things were rough in the Middle Ages. But it is highly recommended.👍

The meat all tastes the same, it fills you up, it doesn't necessarily taste high. Extremely loud, medieval music with Scottish bagpipes is not necessarily medieval.

You like medieval, eating with wooden cutlery, live performance Friday and Saturday. You should go this place. Food amazing, atmosphere amazing and all that for a really good price.

We used to like the place for the amazing vibes. Tonight we felt sour. Our waiter was rude towards our kids, suddenly shouting. When we told him that's not okay, the reply was "this is medieval time" and we were shocked. Time to pay and we were just ignored. There were several families at the time. Definitely don't recommend it anymore.

**Afterparty of my birthday on April 20th** On April 20th I celebrated my birthday in a very special setting with my family and friends. That evening we all had an unforgettable experience that we will remember for a long time. The medieval mood and atmosphere were simply fantastic. As soon as you entered the venue you felt like you had been transported to another time. The decoration and lighting contributed significantly to the successful setting and created a magical environment that thrilled everyone present. The food was another highlight of the evening. Not only was it absolutely delicious, but it was also lovingly presented. Every bite was a delight, and the selection of dishes left nothing to be desired. This contributed to the overall satisfaction and made the feast a real experience. The program was characterized by humor and creativity. The organizers managed to actively involve the guests and encourage them to participate. It was refreshing to see everyone laughing and having fun together. Even the service staff took part in the ambience created and kept the linguistic tone appropriate to the medieval theme - an additional plus point that rounded off the overall package. We sat at a round table, which turned out to be extremely beneficial for communication. This meant that everyone was able to talk to their table guests and enjoy the time together to the fullest. It was nice to see conversations unfolding and everyone connecting. I would like to thank you very much for this wonderful evening. The entire event exceeded our expectations and gave us all a lot of fun. I look forward to coming back and sharing more such unforgettable experiences!

Had our Christmas party there. Everything is rustic and comfortably furnished. Entertainment was also provided by two jugglers who played music and told funny stories. The food was plentiful, first there was soup, then large plates of meat, just a few bowls with side dishes on the table and the eating spree could begin. Beer flowed freely. It was a great and fun evening.

You always enjoy coming here. You simply have to experience it and try it for yourself. Simply highly recommended. The food is very tasty and plentiful... The knuckle is a poem and the ribs are a culinary delight of the finest.

A really rustic place to slip into the Middle Ages. Experienced it for the first time and had fun. The atmosphere of the dining room alone is remarkable. Good, very rich food with an enormous background noise.

We had our Christmas party here. It was a very successful evening, with lots of fun, wine, women and singing. Everyone liked the tone there in particular🤣 Thank you very much and gladly again.

The food and show were excellent and the atmosphere was truly impressive. Unfortunately, I was assigned a seat in the far corner where I couldn't move freely at all. Sharing the table with other guests wasn't a problem for me, but the complete lack of freedom of movement was extremely uncomfortable. Added to this was the very loud music, which made the experience quite stressful for me at times. Nevertheless, visiting this medieval restaurant was a unique experience.

We really enjoyed going there for years. The food is great, the service is great. The evenings where the games are played are sometimes chaotic, too late or sometimes not at all, but that's not so bad. The staff has always been friendly. We have often heard about the animals but never actually seen them. When we were there last, we were really shocked. 2 rabbits in a cage that is much too small, who are always running around and showing severe behavioral problems and the animals outside simply have no space and some of them also looked unkempt. When we brought this up, there was no polite response. For us it's a no go, so we and friends we've told about it don't go there anymore. It's a shame that animals are given such little importance, it absolutely destroys what is actually a great restaurant!

There were 4 of us there for the first time yesterday and our expectations were already met. The food was very good for all of us, the announced program was changed due to the restaurant's low capacity, but it was also fun and good. The only thing we didn't like was the service, although the waiter created a mood with funny and rude sayings and the servant was absolutely listless and unmotivated. At the beginning we thought the atmosphere was part of the program, but it couldn't be... All in all, a nice evening.

We ended up here by chance. The ambience was cool, the service was robust and friendly. The bagpipe program was entertaining, 10€/person was a bit expensive, 5€ would have been fine given the price of the food. But you have to expect to meet Thor Steiner types who luckily drank their beer peacefully. Medieval times are fun! 👍🏻 We'll be back!!!

Something different for our anniversary... If you want to try something different you should definitely go there, provided you can handle dry humor and sarcasm, there will be laughter and lots of jokes. The service is great and everyone can enjoy the food, both young and old. The inn is a dream with attention to detail from the Middle Ages

For our anniversary, my partner and I wanted to try something different and decided on this restaurant. When you entered the “Schänke” you were warmly welcomed and given a napkin and a place in the lovingly furnished guest room, which was built in a former blacksmith shop. The selection on the menu was plentiful and well chosen. As game lovers, we decided on the game plate for 2, which came with various side dishes and a sufficient selection of meat (wild boar, hare, quail and goulash), the food was very tasty and absolutely recommended, although the hare didn't suit our taste has. (But it's just a personal reference). The homemade bread with the homemade egg salad was a gesture from the house and was very tasty. The special thing about this restaurant is the medieval way of saying, which makes it seem very authentic. We would come back!
