Pasta Autentica by Jill in Hamburg

We made a last-minute reservation online. The reservation system suggested there were free seats. On our way to dinner, five minutes before the reserved time, we received a cancellation email - overbooked. Five minutes later, we arrived at the restaurant, and there were plenty of seats available, but no room for us. Online, we were still offered a seat within another 15 minutes. How can that be? If every online reservation has to be confirmed first, then the booking system isn't very sophisticated.

So delicious, so friendly, so familiar. Definitely worth a visit, preferably with a reservation. We had tagliatelle with truffle and tagliatelle with wild boar ragu. Before that, we had bread with pesto. Absolutely excellent.

The pasta was great, but unfortunately the service wasn't at all. We and a few other guests had to wait about 1.5 hours in the cold for our orders and, despite repeated follow-ups, we were not informed that they were being delayed due to technical problems...

We wanted to eat these delicious noodles again after a long time, but that didn't happen. Unmarked but supposedly reserved table, after 10 minutes of waiting, the service person asked us loudly and rudely over the back if we had just sat down. We got up in shock and left too. The food was extremely good but you should definitely make a reservation in advance as the restaurant is super authentic but also small. We'll definitely be back!!!

Handmade pasta. Delicious. Great ambience. Nice service. Reasonably priced. Be sure to reserve in advance. Inconspicuous from the outside. The food is 5* plus! Bread and pesto were included for free. Everything homemade. A visit is 100 percent worth it.

By chance, we ended up in this small, fine restaurant. We didn't make a reservation, there was a table available for 1.5 hours, and the friendly service staff from Italy happily let us sit down. Maria, also from Italy, cooked with her assistant. We could see openly into the kitchen. What came out there really excited us. Everything, and we mean everything, was homemade! Pesto, pasta, sauce, the heavenly dessert. The sage sauce in my dish was unusually tasty and left a lasting impression on me. Afterwards, the tiramisu was, so to speak, the homemade crowning glory. 👑 Vegetarians are also very welcome, my counterpart found a great dish for himself. We know we definitely have to eat there again.

Yesterday we enjoyed another very nice evening with delicious and very fresh food. When we visit Hamburg, this restaurant is always a must. The fresh pasta tastes simply heavenly and the composition of the dishes is a delight. Thank you. We'll be back.

Perfekt place to stop for italian taste in the city of Hamburg 🙌🏼

My girlfriend and I went to the restaurant on the recommendation of a mutual friend. About the ambience: Unfortunately we had to sit at some kind of counter, which was unfortunately relatively uncomfortable. Otherwise the restaurant seemed very cozy. To eat: We had the ravioli with salmon and ricotta and the carbonara, as well as water and wine. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. In the ravioli filled with ricotta and salmon there were only the smallest shreds of salmon, while in the carbonara the guanciale strips were partly very burnt. For the prices of 20 and 19€, we expected more. Water and wine was fine. Service was very attentive and friendly. All in all, an unfortunately rather dissatisfied visit to the restaurant. In my opinion too expensive for what was achieved. An always important question for me: Would I go there again? In this case not.

We stumbled upon this little restaurant quite by accident and are very glad we did! Cozy atmosphere, great food and great service! We both had the ravioli with spinach. Amazing! We will be back. Ps...It's very small, so reservations are recommended.

Even after a reservation the table was given to someone else

The pasta on site is really excellent. However, we wouldn't come again and wouldn't make any recommendations - on one visit, despite having a reservation, we were rudely asked to wait outside in the cold for longer, even though there were already tables that we were then seated at, and the second time despite confirmed reservation - for two - was sent away due to overbooking. Never again.

Really disappointing! You get a time slot of 1 hour (in words ONE HOUR)!!! What's that supposed to mean? Fast food? You can save yourself the starter just to save time. And then pasta dishes from €17-24! Carbonara pasta was unsalted and otherwise tasteless. Nothing special. There are better (and cheaper) options at every Italian restaurant “around the corner”. It's a real shame... no see you again.

Super delicious food, great and very friendly atmosphere.

My mum and I stumbled upon this gem whilst visiting Germany for the weekend. It looked beautiful from the inside and from the moment we went in, we felt welcomed in the beautiful space. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient and the pasta was made freshly in the restaurant. It tasted absolutely delicious! We would highly recommend this spot, it is good value for money too and the lovely staff make the ambience really welcoming!

The service was very, very nice and the food was also very tasty. If everything around it were better, we would certainly come back. However, despite having a reservation, we got a really bad seat where we had far too little space, sat very uncomfortable and had far too little legroom. When we were told to please leave in 10 minutes after 50 minutes, with our glasses still full, we felt pretty unwanted and dismissed. Despite the good food, we would never come back. Give the guests at least 90 minutes. So you don't need to offer dessert if you don't have time and you have to finish your drink quickly... and that's €76 for two people...

We had already noticed the restaurant while passing by in the morning when we saw a woman in the window making her own pasta. In the evening we were warmly welcomed there and had a lovely evening with excellent service and very tasty food. Without exaggerating: my personal highlight of the holiday. Since the restaurant is quite small, you should make a reservation.

Unfortunately very disappointing!! We had reserved a table for four people and received a reservation confirmation by email, which you should under no circumstances rely on. When we were told that our table was not available at the time we had reserved, we were not very politely asked to please wait outside. After a long wait in the cold, we decide it would be better to go without eating. The prices absolutely do not match the quality of the service, so no recommendation at this point!!

We went to Pasta Autentica by Jill yesterday on Sunday (shopping Sunday). We were told right at the beginning that there would be technical problems and that everything would be delayed a little. The restaurant owner Jill offered us a free drink while we waited. When we were brought to our seat, there was a super tasty appetizer, free of charge as an apology. Parma with burrata and a very tasty pesto. Plus a little bread. The menu is very clear and makes a very good impression as you are not flooded with food options. Both pasta dishes were 100%! Pasta Autentica also offers a small, nice selection of wines with a short description of the taste, which I find very helpful. Overall, I recommend the shop, which has a little cute flair. By the way, the gastronomic response to the technical problem couldn't have been better. Everything done right! Despite the initial difficulties, we left so satisfied because we thought the appreciation shown to the guest was so great that we will definitely come back. Thanks Jill! I made a reservation on a Saturday evening, it was very busy there. Unfortunately my companion arrived a little late. We were advised that the table was only for one! hour is reserved for us. We decided to stay and order a main course anyway. This also came quickly and tasted good, unfortunately we had to eat it very quickly because we were informed towards the end of our booked time that the next guests were already waiting. It felt a bit like mass processing in a canteen... It's a shame... because it tasted good, you probably don't have enough time to enjoy it. I can't imagine how you can manage a starter, main course and dessert in an hour? I won't be coming back and won't recommend it.

Bland food. Terrible service. We arrived and were neither greeted nor assigned to our reserved table. Instead we waited while the waitress took a lengthy order all the while ignoring us for several minutes. Seeing the restaurant has zero waiting area, we eventually waited outside. Finally at the table, placing our order had us waiting again. Guests arriving later were given precedence. Very unprofessional. The food itself was mhew. I dont get the buzz about pasta by Jill. It's not super great pasta. It's okayish, but given the price tag it's definitely underwhelming. Last but not least, we were basically told to leave asap when new guests showed up that needed the table. We hadn't even finished our plates and spent less than 1h in the restaurant. To sum it all up, not recommended if you want a nice pasta and wine evening.

A really lovely and small pasta restaurant. The food was really tasty and it's just cozy there. We became aware of it because we happened to walk by during the day and saw how the pasta was prepared. We spontaneously reserved a table for the evening online and were warmly welcomed in the evening. We sat directly in front of the entrance and directly in front of the bar in the “aisle” - but because the restaurant is so small, it didn't bother us. The pasta was fresh and homemade. 8/10! Clear recommendation. We'd love to come back.

A super cute restaurant with a lot of heart. We found out about it by chance because we walked past their shop window and saw the employees making the pasta with a smile on their faces. It's not a big restaurant, but it's beautifully decorated and more than enough for a meal for two. The pictures on the wall are phenomenal too. The service is a 10/10. Totally warm, attentive and super fast. And the noodles? Some of the best I've ever had. You can really taste the love that's inside. And what pleased me most was that the compliment I gave the waiter about the pasta was passed straight on to the kitchen. You could look in through a small window and get a glimpse of how your own food is made. An absolute insider tip that is definitely worth it!

It's not a restaurant but a bar. They seated us at the "window sill" overlooking the stairs to the toilet. Long waiting time for food. In such a small place it only means that the employees are not very clever. Yes, Job Center pays extra. Food at a very low level. It has nothing to do with the Italy that I love. Typical shack.

The two ladies watching in the shop window making handmade pasta were the decisive factor for our visit. The restaurant has a very well conveyed Italian style and you quickly feel at home. The selection of dishes is clear but quite sufficient so that everyone should find something nice. The carbonara I ordered was very good and the quantity was also reasonable. The service was very friendly and in general it was very nice to see that it was a family-run establishment. Grandma was at the start and totally conveyed this down-to-earth attitude. Price is in the middle range with an upward trend. But the ingredients also provide that. We will definitely come back again.

The staff is somehow very unprofessional and does not correspond to the prices. Apart from the guancale, the food does not correspond to the price and especially the quantity. The price is so high because we are in Hamburg. Overall, I prefer to go to the pizzeria next door or to the Italian restaurant behind the shop here. My partner and I shared a dinner today at this restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy, with Italian & Neapolitan songs from the past, part of the folklore. The furniture is modern, and the colour palette is driven towards white, matte, and light shades. The food is amazing: we had tagliolini al tartufo and tagliatelle al ragù - very abundant portions and very flavoured. Totally recommended - we will try it again for sure. The service is informal and the ladies that assisted us paid attention to our needs and made us feel welcomed.

Simply delicious! The Pasta Funghi was amazing and the Tiramisu was just great. Very attentive service and just a nice, completely relaxed feeling in the restaurant.

Forget the negative reviews - this shop is highly recommended and as the name suggests: authentic. Handmade pasta (all pasta classics and even more selection than on the menu), top wines and a very pleasant audience! I just came from Rome and was pleased with the quality! We'll be back!!! I've wanted to go to this restaurant for a long time because I was sure that the pasta there is really good. I decided to go there with my girlfriend on our anniversary. I had a reservation for 8pm, we waited under the restaurant until 8:28pm, even though the woman at the bar said we had to wait a minute for her to clear the table (there was a table outside with a few bottles on it ), we finally got a seat, we weren't given a menu for 10 minutes, we decided we would just take the menu from the website, we ordered 1 Aperol Spritz and 1 Aperol Spritz Toscana when I asked how they were different, We were just told that they were different...in the end we were brought 2 drinks filled with water and ice on the edge of the glass and no tube, no one stirred them so they tasted like water, we asked for one Change and they just stirred them, they still tasted like a bit of alcoholic water. From the meal we ordered 1 Pasta Carbonara and 1 Con Salmone. Con Salmone means ravioli with cheese and salmon, they brought me these ravioli that tasted like dough with cottage cheese, and in each ravioli there was a very small piece of salmon like a pearl, the taste of these ravioli reminded me of the salmon flavored cheese from LIDL. The carbonara was terrible, there were literally charred pieces of fat on top of the pasta that were not only impossible to chew but also disgusting to put in your mouth, they looked like black rocks. For such a price as we ate at them, you can go to another restaurant and eat more and tastier, much more! I have no complaints about the service, as I understand that it is difficult for one person to serve the whole restaurant, the complaints are to the owners of the restaurant who cannot organize everything humanely! Guys, don't waste your time with this restaurant!

A beautiful restaurant with great flair. I had the truffle spagetti, and it was simply delicious. Here you can see how much love goes into the restaurant. We stopped by again spontaneously and immediately got a table for two. The bread beforehand was fresh and tasty and I'm glad that it was plain country bread instead of white bread. It is a small, manageable pasta menu and there were 2 other daily specials. The truffle pasta was to die for. The noodles are homemade. The second dish was the ravioli with salmon, which was also well received by the other person. We had dessert and espresso and were very satisfied. The ambience is just on the street and a bit narrower. But inside it is small and nice. Service was top. Friendly and immediately available if you have any questions. Prices are ok for me.

Small Italian pasta restaurant. First impression great, dining experience unfortunately an absolute flop. Moldy bread for the starter, the waiter apologized briefly, but we paid the full price and we didn't receive any fresh bread either. The pasta carbonara is a cheese sauce with charred bacon and the truffle pasta was only lukewarm. We didn't get any cutlery for the main course and had to get up ourselves after about 5 minutes to look for cutlery. The waiter was friendly but overwhelmed. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I will never go back there again. I took a starter with parma and bread, the ham was not parma and the bread was stale and soft. The finishing touch was the carbonara, a pasta with that Cream and parmesan as well as the bacon were very poorly cut and not cleaned well. I've never eaten so badly, I hope the chef isn't Italian

Amazing little spot behind the Rathaus. We were walking around and coincidentally found this gem at around 8pm. We did a reservation on the spot for 8:30 and went up to St Nikolai tower to look at the sunset. The dinner was great, we had some aperol spritz, followed by amazing pasta and white wine. Finishing with a classic averna. Highly recommended

wir bekamen einen netten Tisch auf der Terasse. Die kleine Karte mit Schwerpunkt Pasta bot genug Abwechslung. Der Burrata als Vorspeise war lecker und schön angerichtet. Die Ravioli und die Tagiatelle waren auch wirklich lecker. Dazu kommt, dass die 2 Mädels im Service super nett waren. Hübsches, kleines Pastaalokal - gerne wieder.

We came there spontaneously (our second time, probably the last time) SA17.08.24 -6:00 p.m The table was dirty and it took a while for the waiters to come to us. The order was taken incorrectly and the waitress only made excuses. The carbonara was certainly not the same as the other day, it was like a super hope without cream, even worse milk, little pepper, etc., little for a 20 euro carbonara, I prefer to go to Vapiano, it's cheaper at 4 euros, it's quicker and tastier FOR SURE . We'll never come back and unfortunately we won't recommend you anymore, it's a shame actually, the first time we were there, it took a long time but there was only one person there and it was even quicker, and was the CARBONARA of my life, certainly another chef. 🤡 The girl who worked 🤦🏽‍♂️, and the blonde man 🤦🏽‍♂️. Sorry guys. You only have 20 tables, normally the kitchen is supposed to burn, not the waiters. SHAME

first time visiting germany and i stumbled upon this place, very good food!

A small, sweet restaurant in the heart of Hamburg with a small but fine menu. The handmade pasta with truffles and the recommended rosé were excellent. The prices are typical for Hamburg, but an Italian holiday feeling in the middle of Hamburg Beforehand there was homemade pesto with bread. Gladly again

The first and last time in this restaurant. I ordered the ragut and asked the waitress about the meat. She proudly explained that the meat came from her boss's hunt. I was then given a deep plate with minced meat sauce. I couldn't taste the meat because the tomato sauce was too spicy. For this "Bolognese" I had to pay €24. My wife's cabonara had a thick, unappetizing cheese sauce.€19. The alleged original Italian beer is brewed in the Czech Republic. Conclusion: Never eaten so bad and expensive (€57) at an Italian restaurant!

We spontaneously passed the cute restaurant and immediately got a table for two people. It was very cozy and you felt really comfortable. The wine was absolutely delicious and the pasta too!!!. Since my friend couldn't decide which pasta to use, two smaller portions of different pastas were brought to him. It was incredibly delicious. We got great information about what was in which dish because the menu was in Italian (which fit the ambience really well). We'll be happy to come back next time we're in Hamburg!!!!!!

Gorgeous family-run Italian restaurant. Service was brilliant from start to finish. The ambiance was second to none with Andrea Bocelli playing in the background. The complimentary bread and homemade pesto was just scrumptious. Every dish was presented so artistically and we all loved it. They went over and above for our daughter when they all came out and sang her happy birthday holding delicious tiramisu pots. We as a family say this is a must visit when in Hamburg.

The food was very tasty, plus a nice white wine, dolce vita right in the city center. “La nonna” or Maria looked after us completely. That was actually the authentic flair that we otherwise only know from Italy.

The menu was entirely in Italian, which made it difficult to choose dishes. After telling the waitress that my friends and I don't eat pork, we were brought a pork dish anyway with the comment: "You chose that yourself, I was wondering why you chose that." I mean, she could have easily pointed out to us that the dish contains pork! When we said we couldn't eat it, the answer was: "Then you'll have to take it with you." Very bad experience with this restaurant, I cannot recommend it. Dealing with customers was not good.

Very nice little place, well decorated, warm ambiance. Very friendly and engaging owners. Original cooking with the right ingredients in the right quantity, very good balance of the taste, for instance the pesto sauce they give you with bread to wait before the first dish is something I usually don’t even try because it is normally with too much garlic and too fat, but this one had the perfect balance. I would definitively go back. Very nice place.

This is not authentic Italian pasta. The carbonara is made with cream, also not with the appropriate pasta. All fettuccine quickly sticks together, then breaks when you try to separate it. No pleasure to eat.

We‘ve come there at 15:15 and the waiter said they had a pause and couldn’t sit us at the table, although no pauses were in the plan, and the restaurant closes in the evening. Really wanted to check this place, but it turned out to be a frustrating experience

The staff is very rude also with kids....

There were two of us in the store, the store was empty and there was only 1 other table, we ordered food and got the wrong food, she couldn't even remember 2 foods, weak, instead of changing the food I had to eat the weak truffle pasta.

Unfortunately, there were countless broken pieces of mussel shell in the mussel pasta. Unfortunately, the service was poor; we waited 40 minutes for drinks.

Ravioli Salmone was really great. One of the best pastas I've eaten. The kitchen people were all very welcoming. The young service lady was very nice, but was very overwhelmed with 3-4 tables. Simple service wasn't even included. Therefore the price is not worth it. But will come again.

Sehr feines Essen. Der Empfang war zuerst etwas unfreundlich. Köchin und Spüler kaum reagiert. Die Servicekraft aber sehr nett und verwöhnt die Gäste. Die Köchin machte einen etwas mürrischen Eindruck in der Küche. Das Essen, der Service und Preis-/Leistung kompensierten auf jeden Fall. Kleiner Tip noch ein kleiner Keks beim Espresso wäre perfekt. Aber Jamnern auf hohem Niveau!

Pasta Norma: good, but not good enough for the price. Ravioli con Salmone: very tasty! Unfortunately, the service was very slow, not very visible and semi-friendly.

Extremely good pasta, friendly and courteous service, delicious wine! The space inside is a bit cramped. However, we sat outside. I'd love to come back!

We spontaneously got a table for two and were really happy. The service was friendly, but apparently overwhelmed and inattentive. While we were still waiting for our starter, all the tables that came after us had already received their main courses and had long since eaten them. We would have at least liked to order more drinks, but we didn't have the option to do so. After about 1 hour 15 we got the main course. I said that we had actually ordered an appetizer (burrata) but that we didn't need it anymore. “Oh, didn’t she come?” She said she’d go check, but didn’t come back again. She left so quickly that we still couldn't order drinks. There is also no question as to whether everything is okay with the food. When she collected the money, she blamed it on the kitchen. I didn't think it was okay. We also ordered the appetizer from her. Ambience: nice in itself, but very cramped. I was bumped into twice as I walked past. Food: tasty in itself & great selection of dishes, but no wow effect either. There were some very raw, translucent strips of bacon in the carbonara. I'm disappointed. The store definitely has more potential!

The service was brilliant for us, she did everything herself, outside and inside, very attentive and authentic.. Great!!
