Papa Rossi in Oldenburg (Oldb)

Sehr schönes Ambiente, Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und lecker, von frischen Brot, Brötchen, Müsli, Pancakes, Crepes, frisches Obst und Salat alles vorhanden.

Waren mit vielen Leuten da und haben alle fast zeitgleich das bestellte Essen bekommen. Service ist Topp.

Mit einigen Arbeitskollegen waren wir bei Papa Rossi in Oldenburg-Wechloy essen. Da ich weder Pasta noch Pizza wollte und mir auch nicht nach Salat war, habe ich mich für einen Burger entschieden. Bereits bei der Bestellung wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass sämtliches Beef ausverkauft sei - und das wohl schon seit dem Vortag. Das fand ich enttäuschend, insbesondere weil die Burger auf der Karte durchaus beworben werden. Wenn ein Restaurant Burger anbietet, sollte die Hauptzutat eigentlich verfügbar sein. Mangels Alternativen habe ich trotzdem einen Burger bestellt. Für 18 Euro hatte ich ehrlich gesagt etwas mehr erwartet. Der Burger selbst war recht langweilig: ein trockenes Brötchen, wenig Geschmack und als Sauce offenbar hauptsächlich Mayonnaise mit etwas Ketchup. Insgesamt wirkte alles sehr schlicht und wenig durchdacht. Dazu gab es Pommes. Diese wirkten zwar so, als könnten sie aus frischen Kartoffeln gemacht worden sein, sicher beurteilen konnte man das aber nicht, da die Zubereitung nicht sichtbar war. Geschmacklich konnten sie den eher enttäuschenden Gesamteindruck leider auch nicht mehr retten. Insgesamt war das für mich kein Essen, das ich noch einmal bestellen würde. Schade, denn bei dem Preis hätte ich deutlich mehr erwartet. Wer speziell wegen eines Burgers kommt, sollte seine Erwartungen nicht zu hoch ansetzen.

Das Frühstücksbuffet hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Was uns gestört hat war das es keinen Saft, Wasser etc zum Buffet gab. Kannten wir so noch nicht, deswegen einen Stern abzug.

Tolles Restaurant für ein leckeres Mittagessen!

Das Papa Rossi war ein sehr schöner Ort, wo man gut essen gehen kann! Wir haben das Mittagessen dort gehabt, konnten neben dem normalen Kartenmenü auch die Mittagskarte nutzen, die mit einem Preisgericht von 12 Euro für Speise und Getränk mehr als fair ist!! :) Kommen definitiv erneut!

Man kann hier gut frühstücken und Abendessen. Wenn es voll ist, ist es aber oft recht laut. Die Preise sind eher weiter oben angesiedelt

Wir waren mit 9 Personen (6Erw/3Ki) am Samstag um 17h im Restaurant. Wir hatten vorbestellt und zum 1ten Mal dort. Wir sind mehr als zufrieden mit dem Gesamtservice. Die Kinder hatten abweichend von der Karte Wünsche, nach Rücksprache mit der Küche kein Problem. Getränke wurden flott serviert, das Essen kam für alle gleichzeitig. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Das Essen war schmackhaft und wurde optisch ansprechend präsentiert. Die Kinder war zufrieden und die lockere Atmosphäre hat zum Wohlbefinden beigetragen. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist völlig okay. Ein besonderes Danke an das Servicepersonal...

Besser geht nicht. All In Frühstück

Burger waren lecker, aber leider sehr klein.

Portion zu klein, Börger sind wenig nicht empfehlenswert. Wir hatten „Papas Cheesy Burger“. Kurz dazu, der Käse ist vom Geschmack her eine Enttäuschung, die Zwiebeln roh und Röstaromen sucht man vergeblich. Für den Preis findet man bessere Qualität in allen Größen Burger Buden. Zudem haben wir uns noch „Pasta aglio e olio„. Auch hier kleine Portionen, ohne Geschmack. Salz und Pfeffer standen aber zum Nachwürzen dabei. Bedienung: Scheinbar hat das System immer mal wieder Aussetzer, auf unsere Getränke mussten wir trotz zwei Mal Nachfragen ca. 25 Minuten warten. Das Ambiente ist schön und lädt zum Verweilen ein, jetzt sollte es nur noch mit den Speisen und Getränken klappen. Für ein so großes Restaurant finde ich es bemerkenswert, das es niemanden gibt, der das ganze überschaut und entsprechend eingreift. Rezessionen und Informationen gibt es ja genug.

TLDR: Über eine Stunde gewartet, falsches Essen bekommen, teils schon kalt, erneut auf Getränke gewartet, nach Konfrontation mit 10% Rabatt abgespeist worden. Hallo, leider muss ich hier von einer sehr schlechten Erfahrung berichten. Ich wollte nett mit meiner Familie zu einem besonderen Anlass essen gehen, aber das Papa Rossi war diesen Abend einfach nicht für Kundschaft überhaupt bereit. Nach der Bestellung mussten wir zunächst über eine Stunde auf das Essen warten. Meine Nudeln kamen dann mit Penne anstatt Spaghetti und der Parmesan hat gefehlt. Meine Pizzabrötchen erst nach mehrmaligem fragen, der Dip benötigte weiteren Nachdruck. Das Essen (Pizza, Burger) meiner Mitmenschen war teils kalt. Auch hier fehlten Sachen. Zuletzt mussten wir auch noch für die zweite Runde Getränke erneut nachfragen. Ja es kann einen Tag mal zu wenig Personal geben und Fehler können passieren. Hier ist aber die Reaktion entscheidend. Selbst nach Konfrontation mit der Schichtleitung und einer Chefin war es leider nicht möglich eine faire Einigung zu finden und wir wurden mit einem Heißgetränk (auf das wir wieder hätten warten müssen) bzw. am Ende dann 10% abgespeist. Ohne vertretbare Leistung noch den vollen Preis (bzw. -10%) zu verlangen ist um es diplomatisch zu formulieren frech und somit tragen wir die Konsequenzen. Nach dieser Erfahrung werde ich diesen Laden und zugehörige Systemgastro meiden. Schade.

Super nette Servicekraft und die Burger waren ein Traum. Super Lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Gestern war ich mit Freundinnen das erste Mal bei Papa Rossi. Es war ein Erlebnis. Das Essen überzeugte, sah optisch toll aus und überzeugte im Geschmack. Auch der Service war klasse. Das Restaurant ist auch sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir kommen wieder. Dankeschön

Ich habe zwei Jahre in Oldenburg gewohnt und diesen Ort nie gekannt. Es gibt dort ein offenes Frühstücksbuffet, und es war wirklich lecker. Die Atmosphäre und das Essen haben mir sehr gut gefallen. Zur Stoßzeit kann es wegen der vielen Gespräche etwas laut werden, aber abgesehen davon war alles super. Ich kann es auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

Bruschetta und Pizza in Balsamico ertrunken. Nudeln verkocht, auf Nachfrage wurde erläutert, dass die Nudeln vorgekocht sind. Hier ist mehr Schein als sein.

Man muss auch fair bleiben... zweite Chance... alles super... Heute war ich trotz des "verpatzten" Abends siehe unten... mit meinen Sohn nochmal dort. Alles 1 a mit Sternchen... Service, Geschmack, ... halt alles. Darum auch... nichts für ungut... weg mit der negativen Bewertung hin zur positiven Beschreibung. P.s. wir hatten... übrigens Gutschein am letzten Desasterabend bekommen. Dafür ein mega Dank.. ..... An diesem Abend eine glatte 0 - ab der Zuweisung des Tisches lief alles schief - Dienstag Abend 3 Rotweine ausverkauft - nur wenige Pizzabrötchen bekommen, da vergessen wurde ausreichend zu backen - aber dann der Hammer in den nächsten 90 Minuten kein Essen , keine Person mit Infos zum Tisch gekommen - keine Geeste für die Wartezeit . Nicht einmal das Verständnis , dass man evtl. erwartet hätte auf die Verzögerung hingewiesen zu werden - trotz drei anwesender Kinder ( 10 bis 16 ) am Tisch. Absolut überfordert waren alle Bedienungen mit dem Überblick des Ladenlokals. Sorry - aber schlechter geht es nicht !

Wir haben Valentinstag ein gemütliches Buffetfrühstück genossen.Die Bedienungen waren Aufmerksam gutgelaunt und sehr höflich. Das Buffet war reichhaltig und gut.

Das Essen kam sehr spät so das man gar keinen Appetit mehr hatte… Personal total unaufmerksam und ignorant.

Absolut enttäuschend Unprofessioneller Umgang mit Reklamation Wir waren gestern am Samstag zu viert im Papa Rossi essen,doch leider war der Besuch eine herbe Enttäuschung. Meine bestellte Pizza kam bereits kalt am Tisch an. Nachdem ich sie zurückgehen ließ, folgte die absolute Frechheit. Die Pizza kam kurze Zeit später angeschnitten zurück an den Tisch . Anstatt eine frische Pizza zu backen ( was ich eigentlich erwartet hätte) hatte man lediglich die Burrata Kugel und den Rucola runtergekratzt, den Teig irgendwie wieder erwärmt und anschließend eine neue Kugel Burrata oben drauf gesetzt Selbst meine dreckige Gabel und das Messer kamen mit der erwärmten Pizza zurück an den Tisch …… Ein solches Vorgehen ist nicht nur unprofessionell, sondern auch gegenüber dem Gast respektlos . Wenn ein Fehler passiert ( kalte Speisen) sollte die Küche die Größe haben, das Gericht frisch zuzubereiten, anstatt lieblos daran rumzubasteln . Für uns war es der letzte Besuch im Papa. Rossi

Ich war am 24.12.25 mir Freunden beim Frühstücksbuffet. Wir waren begeistert! Nina und Marvin müssten für Ihre Einstellung und Service eine Medaille erhalte. Wir haben uns selten so gut betreut gefühlt. Wir kommen wieder!!!

Drei mal da gewesen. Das letzte Mal Dez 2025 Am besten Tisch vorher reservieren da es immer gut besucht ist. Essen war sehr Lecka und schnell am Tisch. Personal immer sehr freundlich. Nur beim letzten Mal etwas durcheinander. ( Denke neues Personal und haben einiges durcheinander gebracht)

Insgesamt sehr nettes Restaurant, Essen lecker, der Service ist immer super. Vor allem das Frühstücksbüffet ist sehr gut. Leider ist die Akustik furchtbar, es ist oft sehr laut. Wenn das Wetter es zulässt, kann man besser draußen sitzen.

Far too expensive for tiny portions. The food tastes good, but the portions are tiny and far too expensive for what they are. On top of that, we didn't even get the spaghetti we ordered, but a different type of pasta. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it if you're really hungry.

The restaurant is highly recommended, but unfortunately, you're greeted by a strong smell of marijuana (drugs) right at the door. Therefore, we won't be coming back, as this was the second time.

We were there on a Sunday, the food was very good, and the staff was excellent. The only thing that bothered us was that it was difficult to have a proper conversation because the other guests were so loud. Perhaps room dividers or something similar should be considered to make it more bearable. Otherwise, I can highly recommend Papa Rossi.

The bruschetta was absolutely fantastic, incredibly delicious and very filling. The coffee was also superb, and the service was world-class. We have absolutely no complaints; it was a lovely experience with a very nice atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. Thank you!

Delicious breakfast buffet, the service a bit too personal for my taste (they put their hands on my shoulders while I ate), but otherwise excellent. Everything was quickly replenished and the drinks were also very tasty, just a bit pricey (e.g., €6 for 0.4l of lemonade and €12 for 1l of iced tea).

We ate here today (December 8, 2025). The waiter was super friendly, and the food and drinks were delicious. Stylish atmosphere, clean restrooms. We'll be back.

I was the unlucky one to get a very watery and bland pasta carbonara (with bacon). I make better pasta at home with basic ingredients, you expect the chef to elevate a dish more than a home cook. The rest of my table were satisfied by the burgers and pizza.

We were invited by our daughter, who turned 30 and celebrated with family and friends at Papa Rossi. The buffet was fantastic, varied, and truly delicious. We also had sensational service from a server with a beautiful smile who kept us supplied with coffee and other drinks. A thoroughly wonderful morning and lunch. It's a shame that our commute (over 200 km) doesn't allow us to be more regulars at "Papa." Incidentally, the price-performance ratio is also excellent. And we can certainly make comparisons. Thank you.

The food was delicious. However, if you go there hungry and only order pasta, be prepared to order something else as well. The service, or rather their system, was a bit disorganized that day, which isn't a big deal but shouldn't happen too often. The atmosphere is pleasant and nicely decorated.

Since Bar Celona next door was fully booked (BINGO!), we ended up here – which was a stroke of luck. We had something to celebrate and found the peace and quiet we needed. Moreover, the service and food were excellent; everyone enjoyed their meal. My avocado salad was particularly good. We'll be back.

A chic building, delicious food, and reasonably priced (for lunch). The staff were very helpful and friendly—although we had to wait over an hour for our food when the place was full. The breakfast buffet was very extensive and delicious.

The staff is super friendly and tries very hard to meet your needs, but... The selection is far too large and quite unsuitable for breakfast. Additionally, for the price, many items aren't fresh, but pre-packaged (meat salad or minced meat). But perhaps the most shocking thing... the hefty price for bottled orange juice... €7... absolutely ridiculous. I'm also not used to drinks like coffee, orange juice, or water not being included in the buffet. Definitely a reason for me not to come back.

We've been there many times and are always very satisfied. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food and drinks are always delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and some of them have funny sayings 😉 We feel at home in the location. It's beautifully and comfortably decorated. The noise level naturally increases with the number of guests. We look forward to continuing to be guests at Papa Rossi's in the future!

Friendly staff, very attentive. Unfortunately, we found the food extremely overpriced for the quality. I had the "Mila" salad. The dressing was forgotten, no problem! But the Camembert seemed like a ready-made product that wasn't even properly cooked. My companion had the goat cheese wrapped in bacon. It was served cold (and not crispy). Each dish was supposed to come with a bread basket. We were allowed to share one. A very questionable offer. They didn't really want to discuss anything, due to the staff's apparently overworked—who were nevertheless very friendly!

So far, the service was pleasant, except for a few inappropriate comments. The food arrived unseasoned after a nearly 30-minute wait, even though there were only about 10 other people there. The price-performance ratio was poor. Since my food didn't arrive at my table correctly, I pointed this out and was allowed to choose an alternative. At the end of the bill, I was charged for both dishes: the one I returned without touching, and the one I ate. My first and last time here.

We visited today with our dog and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Water was immediately provided for our dog. All in all, a very pleasant and delicious evening. Thank you very much, we would love to come back. 🤗

A solid place. The pizzas are delicious, but the drinks are very expensive. The waitresses are very friendly. The place itself is nothing special and lacks any particular character or charm.

The Aperol (2 pieces) consisted almost entirely of Prosecco, and the filling level was reached with ice cubes. The baked potato, which cost €10.50 (keyword: cost of goods or value for money), had far too little potato cream on it, and there were no extras. So, three-quarters of it was a dry potato. The veggie burger was delicious, and the fries were also good (€15). Total: €43. The service was friendly. The wait outside was a bit too long. Conclusion: The miserable Aperol prevents a 3-star rating.

Everything used to be better... Unfortunately true. We used to love going to Papa Rossi, even when Renè was still there with his tattoos. 😊 I've completely avoided the pizza offerings: no oregano, the tomato sauce was simply unseasoned, and the cheese was truly inedible. The shrimp pasta, as well as the garlic oil... haven't impressed me the last few times either. The prices are ridiculous, though. Today, unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the service either: - They didn't listen carefully to my order, so my order wasn't delivered in its entirety. - Standard service etiquette: Not once was I asked if I liked my meal... or if I needed anything else? - Empty salt and pepper shakers on the table. - My request to pay was simply forgotten. The ambiance, inside or outside, is simply wonderful. I don't know if I/we'll come back again?!

A uniform mix. You can't go wrong with it, but it's not Oldenburg's top address either.

I went there with my girls for Sunday brunch and can highly recommend it. A delicious and plentiful breakfast served until 2 p.m., and excellent service. I'll definitely be back.

We've been to Papa Rossi several times for the breakfast buffet - and what can I say? The buffet is simply fantastic. The quality is top-notch and the selection is huge; there's definitely something for every taste. The service staff always had a smile on their faces and were always there to help, even when the place was full. We were a group of 8 for dinner, but everyone was completely satisfied there too. Papa Rossi - beautiful ambiance and delicious food. Please keep up the good work!

It was much too warm in the building.

The food arrived much too quickly, less than 15 minutes. The salad was wilted, diced carrots were dry, and the pizza rolls were cold. It felt like the food wasn't freshly prepared. It's a shame, because I don't like fast food and prefer quality.

While looking for a breakfast spot, I came across Papa Rossi. As always, I read the reviews beforehand and was absolutely thrilled with how friendly, matter-of-fact, and simply great they responded to negative feedback...so I made a reservation right away. I have nothing but positive things to say...the breakfast buffet has everything your heart desires. There's also a vegan selection. It's fresh and tastes really good, and they constantly refilled our food. The service was super friendly, and we felt very welcome. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back!

We came here with our breakfast group. As always, it was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. The selection was plentiful. The only downside is that drinks are extra. So breakfast can easily add up to €40 per person. However, this has led us to slow down a bit! They've recently added a glass of sparkling wine on the house. We'll see how long that lasts 😉 Still, we'll be back!!! Highly recommend it!

It's very loud, the acoustics are poor. The food was okay! My salad didn't have arugula like the menu says, the chicken wasn't seasoned, and all the drinks are made with syrup. The staff is very friendly and accommodating!

I've eaten at Papa Rossi twice now and can say I'll be back for more. I really liked both the ambiance and the furniture in each of the tables. The weather could have been better, but I guess that's not their fault. The staff are all very motivated, friendly, and accommodating. But none of that matters if the food isn't great. I tried something different on both visits (bruschetta, piadina with falafel, burratta, antipasti pizza, chocolate bomb) and I can say it was all delicious and, above all, plentiful. On one visit, I couldn't even fit in dessert. All in all, highly recommended. Update 09/07/24: Went there on a Tuesday for the breakfast buffet. Also excellent. Rolls, bread, croissants, muesli, cereals, salads, a variety of spreads and toppings (including vegan). We'll definitely be back. Update 05.07.25: Another breakfast buffet, once again thrilled. Great selection, cheerful, friendly, and helpful staff. Still my highest recommendation for breakfast.

We were there on a Thursday around 4:45 p.m. – without a reservation, but we got a table without any problems. The location is really beautifully designed: cozy, modern, on two levels – pleasant both inside and out. It was a bit noisy outside due to the street, so we sat inside. Later, it got busier and therefore a bit louder, but the atmosphere remained relaxed. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I was particularly pleased that the server pointed out to me that the "large" passion fruit spritzer comes in a liter – I found that very customer-oriented. I opted for the 0.4 l, which is actually already a "large" for me. We both had cheeseburgers with fries. The taste was perfectly fine, although not a culinary highlight – absolutely fine for me personally. The price for the meal was around €17, which is still reasonable considering the ambiance and portion size. The restrooms were very clean and there were enough of them (upstairs); I can't comment on accessibility. There's plenty of parking. Overall, a very nice place to eat, drink, and socialize – I'd love to come back.

Food was okay, everything was pretty standard, service was very nice, but they forgot to reorder drinks twice.

A perfect evening all around!! We spontaneously dropped in with a small group as the evening was already drawing to a close, and we were immediately given a warm welcome. As the weather was great, we looked for a table outside and, thanks to the large selection of tables, quickly found one we liked, as every corner of the restaurant looks like a holiday setting. After we sat down, we were served very quickly by the waiters, who were both friendly and competent. Thanks to the good service, we got our food very quickly. It was of the highest quality and not only perfectly prepared, but also plentiful. The main course, starter, and dessert arrived at our table quickly and perfectly prepared. All in all, one can say that the spontaneous decision to eat at Papa Rossi was a brilliant idea and turned a lovely evening into a perfect one. Many thanks to the crew at Papa Rossi, we would love to come back.

Very extensive breakfast buffet, great selection. Something for everyone. I personally would have liked a larger selection of fish, but that's a matter of taste. Everything tasted fine. €17 per person is reasonable compared to other restaurants; children pay half price here. After our arrival, it took a bit longer to get hot drinks. But otherwise and afterwards, the service was good. A breakfast buffet here is definitely worth it.

We came here for dinner. The food was good and the staff very friendly. Prices were slightly higher. Burger with fries (see picture) €16. The sound was a bit loud because it was very crowded.

We went to Papa Rossi for breakfast/brunch with a group of 20 people – and overall, we were very satisfied! The food was delicious, fresh, and plentiful. A particularly positive aspect: Despite the group size, everything went smoothly. Small suggestion: The bread roll selection could be a bit more varied (there were only two varieties), and a few slices of bacon with the scrambled eggs would be a great little extra – ideally at no extra charge. 😉 Otherwise, a great atmosphere, friendly service, and definitely recommended. We'd be happy to come back!
