Great and well-maintained sauna area.

We only went to the sauna; there are 3 upstairs, 2 or 3 downstairs 😁, and 3 outside. Many offer sauna infusions. The staff is friendly and funny. You should queue about 10 minutes before the infusion, as it can get very crowded on weekends. Unfortunately, towels don't dry very well, so it's best to bring a small one with you. 💞

Well, it was simply overcrowded. Swimming was hardly possible, and people were spitting everywhere. It was an experience, nothing more.

Didn't go to the pool, but did use the sauna. It was beautifully landscaped, but different from what we're used to in the Netherlands. The restaurant staff were very friendly.

First time there, but definitely not last. Friendly staff and great service. The schnitzel was unfortunately a bit tough and dry, but otherwise everything was great! I highly recommend the swimming pool and especially the sauna area. It's worth the trip, even from further afield.

Overall, the Olantis Huntebad impresses as a leisure and sports pool with a wide range of offerings that appeal to both swimmers and families. Minor criticisms concern occasional overcrowding.

The renovation has only made the sauna area worse... Why was this even done???? And the outdoor warm pool is also (literally) cool, if there's any water in it at all. Since the renovation was finished, it's been sitting outside, permanently covered with a tarp. I'd rather go to the Grafttherme in Delmenhorst now. They have a warm water pool there, and it actually has warm water in it...

We went there for breakfast yesterday. We received a warm welcome. We highly recommend the breakfast for two. A wide variety of options, fresh orange juice, and everything beautifully presented. All this in a cozy atmosphere. 😀 We'd love to come back.

It was crowded, but the sauna area is excellent. The price/performance ratio is superb.

I find it quite restless here at times.

The thermal baths have a peculiar pricing structure. I visited on November 1st, 2025, at noon with a 3-hour ticket and still had to pay the €5 surcharge for the themed evening, which started at 6 pm. The food is mediocre: the pumpkin-ginger cream was a very runny pumpkin soup drowning in oil. The sauna attendant seemed annoyed because I didn't leave the sauna quickly enough 10 minutes before the sauna infusion was due to start and reprimanded me for not immediately taking my bathrobe, which I had left in the sauna anteroom, with me to cool off in the pouring rain. Only the saunas, changing rooms, numerous relaxation areas, and showers/toilets were okay. I also found the clientele pleasant.

Super friendly service, generous breakfast buffet, always worth a visit.

There used to be more charm. Since the renovation, it's been designed for mass turnover. Space for relaxation has been sacrificed in the process. Lockers are smaller, bag compartments are smaller (and there are too few of them), and aisles are narrower. Some chairs and loungers are "reserved." Worth mentioning: the staff in the restaurant area are very attentive and friendly.

I'm currently at Olantis! Entry is time-limited! The food service is supposed to open at 3 PM! There's kitchen staff, but no server! Was I able to order anything? NO! I've wasted 25 minutes on this! Thanks to management – ​​anyone could organize something like this, and the worst part is the timed entry! That's not service! One point deducted for the lack of organization of the food service. Second point deducted for wasting 25 minutes. Third point deducted for the timed entry, and four points deducted because, despite complaining to the kitchen staff and the cashier, no one took any initiative! Only one point for the amazing lifeguards!

It gets crowded quickly. Unfortunately, there's generally little space if it's not warm enough outside.

The parking situation is... creative and quite stressful with children. The pool itself is okay, but it gets incredibly crowded, so you're often standing shoulder to shoulder with other swimmers.

It's a real shame that a men's evening in the sauna was scheduled for a Friday...

Very nice facility, but not entirely well thought out! Locker sizes and bag storage could be better! And the established rules (towel size, no cell phones, bathrobe requirement, etc.) are unfortunately not observed!

Great for all ages and all weather

There are several sauna areas inside the building. There are three more outside. There are many different ways to relax. Drinks are welcome inside (no glass bottles, of course), and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's always a pleasure to be there.

A bit old but otherwise nice for an afternoon with the kids

It was quite busy at the start of the holiday season… unfortunately, there weren't enough loungers for the many bathers… free parking is a big plus, and so is the entrance fee :)

Really disrespectful they have no respect the lifeguards

The saunas are beautifully designed. We didn't like the fact that we had to queue for the infusion because only one infusion was offered initially. A second infusion was later announced, but it was significantly shorter. 😏 In the café, we had to wait significantly longer for our coffee, while the table next to us was already being served their fries. For these reasons, only ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

Visited the sauna area. Nice saunas, I especially liked the river sauna. The steam room was cold. There's no warm exercise pool with massage jets. Delmenhorst can do better in that area. The food is OK. The lunch special (pasta with mushrooms) could have been more flavorful. Opens at 9:00 on Sundays, which is good. Get there early before it gets crowded in the afternoon. I'd be happy to come back.

Nice swimming pool, reasonable price and three slides

The adventure area is relatively small. The slides are really good. The staff is very friendly. The showers smelled strongly of urine, even though we were there first thing in the morning. The food is extremely expensive, and my fries weren't seasoned, but my daughter's were probably twice as seasoned. The fries were absolutely not tasty. My partner's loaded fries with pullit pork were very disappointing. The pullit pork was cold and barely edible. The chicken burger was very spicy, even though it didn't say so anywhere. It's probably okay for a 2-3 hour visit, but you can't spend a whole day there. I'm disappointed.

Very disappointing. We had to cut short our visit because the police suddenly closed the parking lot – without warning, alternative parking spaces, or clear instructions. Guests were only informed shortly before the closure at the pool, not at the entrance. The only available spaces were in the overcrowded court area. Having to rush out of the pool with the whole family was sheer madness. We used the pool and the sauna – the relaxation was completely gone afterward. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unfriendly given the situation!

Only recommended if you're deliberately not looking to relax, are looking for a playground with your entire family, or just want to chill out with your phone. This isn't a sauna, it's a bad joke.

A truly beautiful place to relax 😊 I'll definitely be going to the sauna more often now, despite the hour-long drive. The swimming area is also great; everything is clean and tidy. The saunas, infusions, and general relaxation are not neglected here. The staff always know their stuff and know what they're doing. 💪 Highly recommended. 🙏

Water below 30 degrees a bit too cold

The people who work at the swimming pool aren't nice. Yesterday, I and my children were treated with racism because I wear a hijab.

The sauna was nicer before the renovation. We were there on October 4, 2025. There was an event, and it was extremely crowded at times. We only participated in the infusions in the event sauna, and even there, there was just pushing and shoving at the entrance. And it was really crowded. Sauna is for relaxation, and you pay an extra fee for the infusions. It was too crowded to participate. It's better to go to the saunas in the surrounding area.

Very clean and well-maintained, the staff is dedicated and friendly, and I highly recommend it for relaxation and recuperation! Pure wellness!

The water is a comfortable temperature, even for small children, and my kids love swimming there. Unfortunately, it's sometimes very crowded, and on weekends, the men's and women's changing rooms are open to all genders, which has caused me a few uncomfortable situations.

We were at Olantis on September 27, 2025. At 6 p.m., when we participated in the "Music Express" infusion in the event sauna, the sauna guests were sprinkled with ice chips at the end. The sauna master then swept the rest of the ice from the bowl over the guests. Apparently, there was still a large piece of ice in the bowl, which hit me on the head. I find this action irresponsible and would have hoped for at least an apology. Because it didn't go unnoticed by him. I will not visit this sauna again.

The sauna is (partially) new and really nice. The food is great.

Many areas are closed (whirlpools, plunge pools, earth sauna), the infusions are only lukewarm, and the experience is lacking. The canteen closes early, but the price is still full. It used to be great, but today it's unfortunately disappointing.

We were at Olantis for the first time in a long time, and I think it was probably the last time. Prices are okay, despite the adjustments. But they could use some improvement. Due to the relatively small bathing areas, it quickly feels too crowded. Relaxing splashing around, etc., is out of the question. The staff could be a bit friendlier. It's very uncomfortable when the lifeguards approach you. The biggest drawback, however, are the shower and changing areas. Three family cabins are far too few on a busy Sunday. There was always a line at the family showers. The fixtures and fittings are in dire need of replacement, and the cleanliness is also poor. All in all, it was a disappointing visit to the pool.

It's difficult to find the first time you're there. A 3-hour sauna session costs €24, etc. I don't need to go there again.

Depending on the time of day, the clientele, unfortunately seen in the media at public pools, is monitored by the security guards now deployed. Otherwise, a well-maintained and, despite being 20 years old, modern pool, which, even after the price increase in September, is still the cheapest in the region. Highly recommended sauna area!

We've visited this swimming pool often, especially recently with our child. I've always found the entrance fee a bit expensive, but after the price increase, I'll be avoiding the pool. The restrooms always smell strongly of urine, and today we noticed that it also had a very unpleasant smell in other areas. I don't even want to talk about the condition of the pools (verdigris and broken tiles). The catering area has been renovated, but the prices are too high for the children, and the food isn't particularly good either. The children's/baby pool felt just as cold as the others. There was a class taking place where the music was very loud, which was annoying. There are very few shady spots in the outdoor pool, so you're out of luck with children if there are no spaces left.

The sauna complex itself is very nice. The clientele is also very pleasant. Unfortunately, the positive impression is greatly tarnished by the catering facilities in the sauna complex. We ate and drank there for the last time today. The food is not fresh. The homemade mayonnaise is spoiled; the dishes taste of nothing, and you can immediately tell they're frozen. There's no seasoning, not even salt and pepper. The spritzers are so diluted that they taste like dishwater. Very high prices for cheap products. A real shame for the entire complex.

It was an absolutely horrible experience. Nothing worked and the staff couldn't handle even the simplest tasks. The staff made so many mistakes and gave wrong information that we were not allowed to use the sauna even though we had paid for it. Never Olantis Huntebad again

One of the worst places i have ever been👎

Today we attended the "Family Sauna" event for the second time. This time, we even had the XXL version, and we were thrilled again. The team made this visit unforgettable; so much passion and love went into the infusions, and the interaction with the children was simply fantastic! We really enjoyed the XXL version, and even as a parent, I have to say, you leave the infusions with a big smile and unforgettable memories. Truly fantastic, and a huge compliment to the team for the idea and the beautiful execution. We would be delighted if the XXL version were to be held more often.

We went to the family sauna event today, and it was truly wonderful! The team went to great lengths to ensure the children had fun and enjoyed the day. A great idea for introducing children to the sauna. We'd love to come back.

I went to the XXL family sauna today with my daughter and my parents, and I was absolutely thrilled! There was so much on offer for the kids. A huge thank you to Peter Pan and Minnie Mouse, who clearly put so much effort into putting on this amazing event!

Awful service, archaic company system where no one communicates with each other... First of all, we had to wait 1½ hours from the entrance until we could enter, as the IT system for lockers and spa had gone into lock down, and no one dared to make a decision, resulting in a mindless wandering from counter to counter, like another Asterix and the Romans... Before someone finally took the initiative Then it turns out that we weren't allowed to enter the sauna anyway, due to a children's event; we were promised a refund for that part, but the four of us who managed to use the sauna for ~10 minutes, they suddenly wouldn't refund when we were leaving. On the positive side, the food was okay in the swimming pool itself, and that the staff generally had good English skills. The cafe at the entrance, however, runs like "oiled" in solidified cement: It's almost impressive, because it seems as if they've made a brave, conscious effort to be able to make a bike run so slowly

We had breakfast at the Leuchtturm this weekend. It was our first time there, and I have to say, the breakfast was super delicious and fresh. The buffet is very varied and plentiful. The staff greets you very warmly and shows you where to sit. We'll definitely be back :-)

What a shame. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Our group had a very negative experience at Olantis today – you ruined our entire day. The way you treated guests was unprofessional and demonstrated a lack of service skills. Such an experience is absolutely unacceptable to us. We cannot recommend Olantis for groups under any circumstances.

Terrible experience. First of all the customer service was horrible and they charged a higher price and would not refund afterwards. In the dressing room there was pieces of glass and lots of hair. And the place it self was boring and small

Terrible place!! The water is unhygienic and visibly dirty. Far, far, far too many people, and complete chaos. The queues for the slides are very long, and they seem to be of poor quality. The staff are horrible. We booked with spa access. We were given wristbands for the spa and wellness, but when we entered the water park and then went into the wellness area, we were suddenly told that we couldn’t use it because it was a kids’ weekend. When we asked if we could get a refund, we were told no, because we had already passed through the door to wellness – even though we didn’t use it. I strongly recommend that nobody ever visits this place. It’s for your own good!

Big group went here to have fun and use the sauna. Turns out, after we paid for around 40 people, that the entire sauna and spa was only for families that day. Pretty disappointing, ended up arguing with the staff because we payed for the Spa but weren’t allowed to use it. Also pretty small for the amount of people there. Wouldn’t recommend going to Olantos.

We visited SaunaWorld again today. Normally, we have nothing to complain about and feel comfortable, but what annoyed us again today was the fact that some selfish people think they can reserve the loungers and beds in the relaxation rooms by simply leaving their towels and souvenirs on them while they enjoy their sauna session. Wool blankets are also being hoarded. More attention should definitely be paid to this, and a stop should be put to it.

Olantis Wellness Area Oldenburg Very good couples massage. 30 minutes of pure relaxation. The staff there were very professional, friendly, and pleasantly calm. They didn't speak to each other during the session, so we were able to completely relax. We had a great time. At the end, they kindly asked if we'd like some tea or water. We'd be happy to come back.

I really liked OLantis. There are two large swimming pools (one indoor and one outdoor), two pools for chilling (one indoor and one outdoor), and a small baby pool. You can also use the sauna and treat yourself to a massage. It was very clean. Unfortunately, you can only have a coffee on Fridays from 3 p.m. onwards during the week. I would have liked to have a salad, but that didn't happen because the man in the kitchen told me and the other bathers that no one had come. That didn't go down well, of course, and that's why it's losing one star. I paid €7 for 3 hours, but as an adult you can also get a day pass for €8.

Over the weekend, my son and I were at the swimming pool, where I was teaching him how to swim. The pool staff approached us. They were polite and helped my son learn to swim.

FYI: I'm only reviewing the indoor area of ​​the pool. The Olantis Huntebad is generally a very solid swimming pool. The entrance prices are fair, and the facilities are generally good. There are various pools, diving boards, and slides. The pool is also quite clean compared to other pools. The only problem is that the lifeguards don't really ensure that the sports area is used only by competitive swimmers. As a result, there are sometimes small children splashing around where you'd like to do laps. For competitive swimmers, I would recommend visiting outside of peak hours. For everyone else, there aren't really any "wrong" times to visit.

It offers a lot for the low admission price, especially in warm weather, even outdoors. There are three great indoor slides, which are a real highlight for kids. Although everything is older, it's well-maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We've been to the Leuchtturm breakfast buffet several times. It's always been excellent! There's a huge selection at reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the decor is inviting. We've just participated in a barbecue event for the first time, and it was truly fantastic. Why do you pay full admission when the beginner swimmers' area is ALWAYS closed? Or rather, you get kicked out for classes that run one after the other without a break. Cheap and lots of options, staff are active!

I've been to the Olantis sauna many times and have always spent relaxing and restful days there. Unfortunately, not this time. The new 10-minute rule is a disaster. I was in the sauna for 6 hours and spent almost an hour standing in line. Take the Polder Hütt, for example: I lined up 15 minutes before the infusion (to get a good spot), and after a few minutes it started to rain heavily – wet hair – wet bathrobe – cold feet (is that healthy?). Then everyone rushes in at once, creating a huge rush and commotion. When I imagine standing half-naked in the cold in sub-zero temperatures in winter – no thanks. It worked perfectly for years without this 10-minute rule. If this doesn't change, the Olantis sauna will no longer be usable for me. I imagine relaxation, peace, and recovery differently.

Yes, I recommend it. Everything's fine. Lots of choice. Just games and fun.

Big disappointment in the sauna! At the beginning of June, my girlfriend and I went back to the sauna at Olantis for the first time since the renovations, after a long break. Before every sauna session, there were long lines outside, sometimes outside in the rain and very cold temperatures. And this could last for at least 15 minutes. Then, after the staff opened the previously locked sauna door, everyone rushed to the benches at once. As a result, because it was regularly overcrowded, I had involuntary physical contact with strangers on both sides during the sauna session and had to remain in a completely tense posture. In the hustle and bustle, my girlfriend snagged a seat at least 2-3 meters away from me. This has nothing to do with rest and relaxation. I'm a long-time sauna-goer and have been to many different saunas, including in Germany, but I've never experienced such a procedure before. Before the renovation, this wasn't the case, and the sauna was always worth a visit. Unfortunately, not anymore. I wonder how all the other saunas manage it. The reason given for this practice is that guests often collapse. But I haven't experienced that anywhere myself. You can generally experience circulatory problems at any time in the sauna, even if you sit too long after the infusion. After all, it was at least June despite the inclement weather. It's even more unreasonable for guests to wait outside in winter, wearing only a bathrobe or towel, for health reasons, to be admitted. Moreover, the water in the outdoor pool in the sauna garden was so cold that we were happy not to use it. Too bad! But in the future, we'll probably drive a few kilometers further for an alternative.

A very nice outdoor pool with great slides that are a lot of fun. The outdoor area is well-maintained and offers plenty of space to relax or play. We were also pleasantly surprised by the food – fresh fries, delicious snacks, and fair prices. A great place for a relaxing summer.
