The pool itself is beautiful; the various pools and slides are fun. However, one day we were there where we were packed together like sardines. That was stressful for me, because not every visitor is considered considerate. Swimming, diving, and sliding were only possible to a limited extent. Furthermore, the showers/toilets and changing rooms don't seem to have been designed for such a large number of people. There are far too few family changing rooms; you wait forever. And the regular changing rooms are almost too small for one adult alone. There's definitely room for improvement! Kudos to the lifeguards for keeping calm and overview in the hustle and bustle, and still being nice!

We've been there several times during our holidays with our children and were unfortunately not impressed. The pool was extremely crowded, which is understandable during the holiday season – but on top of that, almost half of the pool was closed to aquasports. Our children were given strange looks when they swam on the other side. We paid the entrance fee as normal and want to have fun just like everyone else. It's a shame that in such a case, families feel like they're "secondary." Perhaps the times for aquasports could be better organized or a separate area could be used.

The changing rooms are in poor condition. Many of the door locks are broken, so you always have to lock both doors. Many people then forget to unlock both doors, which means that one door always remains locked, leading to considerable waiting times. They're also quite dark. Overall, the pool is starting to show its age. I would describe the cleanliness as just adequate at best. You don't have to follow the rules either; I saw many people jumping into the pool, watched by the staff, and no consequences. Many people don't even shower before entering the pool. I saw children with candy in the water. After my last visit, I reported many of the points to the staff at the checkout upon leaving. I doubt whether the criticism reached the right people; the guy was clearly not in the mood.

Regarding the indoor pool only: A nice, fairly small pool with warm water in the leisure and non-swimmer pools. The large swimming pool is cool, which is also good. There are a few too many older children in the toddler non-swimmer pool, but how can you possibly limit that? It is possible to swim outside from the leisure pool into a separate area with an outdoor pool. Overall, it's rather functional, but the ambiance isn't particularly chic. The staff in the bistro at the pool were friendly, but the quality of the food there is very mediocre.

A worthwhile destination for families with small or large children! Light meals are also available. There are several pools to choose from, both indoors and outdoors, for playing and swimming. One- and three-meter boards.

Great pool. The yellow turbo slide is the best. In summer, you can also swim in a small part of the Hunte River. Next to the pool, there's also a separate wellness area where you can treat yourself to a massage. Everything is always very clean👍🏼

This shouldn't be allowed. (Please be sure to clean the drain grates at the pool as of today) - The outdoor pool is nicely sized for the sauna area, but too cold. Especially since the whirlpool/warm water pool is closed until further notice. - The aforementioned warm water pool is missing. Unfortunately, we were not able to be told when it would go into operation.

Mega Swimming Pool - Food Too Expensive The Olantis is a great swimming pool and has something for everyone. Whether you want to have fun or swim laps, jump, or do baby swimming, the pool is clean and even nicer after the renovation. Only the food IN the pool leaves something to be desired. If you're expecting a snack bar at the swimming pool where even students can afford a French fry, this seems to be more of an upscale restaurant. There's no regular hamburger, but you can get a pulled pork for €10. Fries cost €4. I would expect €2.50-3 at a swimming pool, including mayo or ketchup. What a shame! Our waitstaff seemed very young and inexperienced. This then led to mistakes in our order. But if you don't want to eat, but want to go swimming, then the Olantis is the place to be.

Beautiful swimming pool and sauna, with the option of a family sauna day once a month, where even the little ones are absolutely welcome. The only downside is that many loungers in the pool are often reserved, which, in my opinion, aren't used.

Ingenious design, excellent swimming and bathing options. The Olantis is very well thought out and really affordable.

The sauna area is large and very nice. There's something for every taste, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The spa facilities are also great.

Very expensive entry, and the 1-meter diving board is poorly adjusted. You can't adjust it yourself, and when you ask, you're only told that a technician would have to do it, and not today. Of course, the situation didn't change on my next visit. Still, a very pretty location, and the little huts are great too.

We went to Olantis again last weekend; normally, we prefer to go to Nautimo in Wilhelmshaven. We'll be back in the future, too. It was kind of strange how unkempt the pool seemed to us. The slide area in particular looked very unsightly. It was also so crowded that it was almost unbearable. A nice pool in itself, but somehow it just doesn't win us over. Anyone who has ever been to Wilhelmshaven will know the difference. We can only report on our experiences, but they weren't that positive. We would recommend that anyone who can should go to Wilhelmshaven. The whole thing is simply nicer and more well-thought-out.

Great swimming pool. Clean, pleasant water and room temperature, and, above all, slides with quite warm water! We missed a small warm pool or whirlpool. The outdoor pool is especially recommended.

We went to the sauna and went swimming in the outdoor pool. Everything was great!

I always go there for competitive swimming. It's clean, and you can usually swim laps easily, no matter what time of day. The sauna area is also nice to look at and a pleasant experience. I can't comment on the food there, as I haven't tried it yet.

The water in the outdoor pool is definitely too cold! As a regular swimmer, I'm used to lower temperatures when swimming, but this is definitely far too cold. They're trying to cut corners! Regular swimmers may not be the most lucrative part of the business, but when extrapolated and as a permanent expense, they shouldn't be underestimated. It's so cold it's giving my hands cramps. A 2-3 degree increase would be helpful, please.

Hello OLantisteam Unfortunately, I'm only giving it three stars. The reason is that the restrooms are inadequate. Today, May 25, 2025, the bathroom felt quite full. The showers in the anteroom with the toilets are too small. There isn't enough space to hang towels or even put bags down. Regards

A beautiful indoor and outdoor swimming pool. I was there for 90 minutes with the sports rate for €4.50 (€4 before 12:00). I like the swimming highway in the lane area. The three slides also offer variety; the Turbo and Black Hole slides were especially fun. If you're lucky, you can park on the street by the pool; alternatively, there are plenty of free parking spaces under the highway.

We were in the sauna world yesterday and experienced an incredibly wonderful infusion. Katja conducted the infusion. She had to give an encore at 10:00 PM.

Beautiful, large pool with lots of features. Whirlpools, starting blocks, outdoor area, outdoor pool, diving tower, toddler area, and a small, shallow pool (great for kids just learning to swim! 😁 ). Very friendly staff. Everything was very clean and tidy. I generally found it a bit too dark. The family changing rooms weren't lit, and it was sometimes difficult to see, despite the bright sunshine outside. 😄 An absolute plus point was that we were also able to use the beautiful outdoor pool at no extra cost. Our children and we really enjoyed ourselves at OLantis. We will definitely come back again!

The new spa area is a wonderful place; the interior designers have done a 100% excellent job. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the waiters in the restaurant are very polite and friendly and do a great job, and the food was also top-notch. Everything was very clean, there are plenty of rest areas, and many infusions (hourly). Parking is free. Entry prices are perfectly reasonable for what they offer. We'd be happy to come back from 150 km away. 😊

We spent a lovely family day at Olantis on Sunday! Very nice swimming pool/adventure area and outdoor pool! The water is a nice, warm temperature everywhere. Very large pool with a lazy river. You can swim from the indoor to the outdoor area. Very nice, large baby pool/toddler area, nice and warm water. Even the little ones can slide down several slides there. Very friendly staff, and we like that there's so much supervision! Everything is very clean. We think Olantis has the best fries we've ever had at a swimming pool. The three different slides are also very nice, one of which is very fast. The only thing we're missing is a saltwater pool in the adventure area and one or two more slides; then it would be the perfect swimming/fun pool for us! We had a lot of fun there and we will definitely visit Olantis again! Visit on May 11, 2025 2 adults/ 1 teenager/ 2 toddlers

We visited the sauna area. We go there regularly and enjoy our stay. The facility is clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately, two saunas were unavailable again, but the full price is charged. The relaxation room was very loud because some guests didn't follow the rules. The staff is excellent, always helpful and up for a laugh.

The bathroom is very clean and tidy. There are plenty of places to lie down. There is one flaw with the diving boards, you shouldn't lie down there because the young adults overdo it with posing. Visits are always on site in all areas.

The sauna area, which we visited after the renovation in recent years, was completely fine. So far we have tested pretty much all sauna areas in the Oldenburg region. First of all: The number, variation and design of the saunas are beyond any doubt. There is something here for every sauna lover. Providing food in the restaurant is also recommended and not too expensive. The staff from the landscape's catering area were incredibly friendly and unfailingly accommodating. However, we had an unpleasant experience in the smoking area. Three employees were chatting there, two of whom were apparently there on their own private time. They talked very disrespectfully about the customers. There are a lot of sentences like: "I always give them some stuff that they can then smear on their carcasses" and "No, if they want to eat their potato salad, I always send it over there." From that point on, despite the beautiful ambience, the beautiful relaxation rooms and the otherwise friendly and wonderful staff, we no longer had any fun. I didn't "eavesdrop" on this conversation either. The employees in question complained so loudly about their customers that it was simply not possible to hear them. Therefore you can definitely recommend the Olantis (the sauna area) and most of the employees are pure gold. But because of this incident, we will no longer go there in an emergency (if our favorite saunas are closed or overcrowded).

The bath is a great infusion, always nice. The reason I don't like the restaurant is because the food is only warmed up for a short time and I had a salad that I left standing, which is simply inedible. I don't eat anything here anymore, and there are some employees who are very arrogant. Sry, but first the guest is in the foreground. Greetings Mucky

Very nice wellness area, highly recommended. Only the changing room has always been very warm and humid, you sweat when you change. The infusions are decent.

The bathroom itself is beautifully designed. The bathroom is relatively small. Unfortunately it was incredibly crowded and there was no way to move around without somehow bumping into someone else.

Went there today with the family and were extremely disappointed. The supervisory staff (in red) were more concerned with themselves than doing their job. People carelessly jumped off the edge of the swimming pool even though there were people there. In the non-swimmer pool, rolls etc. were served. Miscounted. And the staff walked past without saying anything. I don't even want to talk about the changing rooms, a full... Diaper was on the bench. No thanks

Right on the highway, ideal for those traveling through. Parking situation confusing, very narrow and confusing, difficult for cars. No RV areas marked seen. Bathroom very pleasant. Nice service, very helpful staff. Despite the holiday, the many guests were comfortably spread out. All pools are attractive, including the outdoor pool. The price is very cheap. Clean, modern, well structured. More clocks and displays of the respective water and air temperatures would be a plus. Gladly again, also thanks to the wide opening hours.

The slides are quite good and as a Hansefit member you don't have to pay anything. Apart from the slides, the rest is rather ok and not good. But you can do it.

Never again. I was there with my granddaughter, there are whirlpool loungers in the large pool. Only the middle lounger was free, with a certain clientele of men sitting on the left and right. I sat down there to keep an eye on my granddaughter when one of the gentlemen asked me what old box I would think of to just sit there and he didn't want to sit next to a German one. Complaints to staff about the incident were not really taken seriously. I think it's a real shame that some people take the right to claim everything for themselves, as if the indoor swimming pool belonged only to them, and use their tone wrongly and then become abusive and go below the belt, all without any consequences to the suffering of all the bathers who know how to behave. If the situation had happened the other way around, I would be the one being accused of racism.

Actually a great bathroom, but the cleanliness of the showers and toilets could be better. It would also be nice to have a publicly viewable lane occupancy plan so that you have a chance to swim and not be scared away by a school class or a club. With all the supervision, someone could also point out to the swimmers (who are just floating) that the sports lanes are intended for sports and not for swimming.

Great swimming pool and a really great sauna area. The food in the restaurant in the sauna area is very tasty and the portions are good. Unfortunately, the drains in the swimming pool area smell very bad. Therefore one star less.

A great Easter breakfast. Very tasty and large selection of dishes. Nice atmosphere and the service staff did a great job. Gladly again!

Update: Seven years later we thought: let's try the Olantis again. First of all: Unfortunately, I still cannot recommend it. After the renovation, the outside area seems somehow narrow and built up, but it also has its nice sides. The river sauna, for example, is very successful. Unfortunately, the killer is that the saunas are now cleared before the infusion and you then have to wait in line. When the sauna master is there, the whole crowd storms the sauna 😆 Very bizarre solution that sometimes provokes a confrontation or two, as I unfortunately had to witness. When we asked why, we were told that they were only looking out for the health of their guests and that beforehand, rows of people collapsed during the infusions because they had been in the sauna for too long before the infusion. What's going on in Oldenburg? 😂. Unfortunately this coincides with previous experiences. See below. The Olantis is simply not recommended for regular sauna goers. Rezi from 2018: Unfortunately, the sauna area is now very child-unfriendly. As of 2018, infusions are only allowed for ages 10 and up, which is why our eight-year-old son, who has been taking a sauna in the Olantis for years and has been taking all of the infusions with him for at least two years, was denied access to the infusion (including an amusing scene from the very unfriendly sauna master). We had to leave the pool and demand our entrance fee back as this new circumstance was not yet known at the ticket office. It was also very interesting to see how the staff hurriedly corrected the posted bathroom rules, which stated a minimum age of five, with the Sharpie as we went out. We then drove to the Grafttherme in Delmenhorst, as children are still allowed to take part in the infusion here. Apparently, Olantis has little interest in introducing a future generation to sauna use. Very unfortunate.

The bathroom itself isn't bad. The only bad thing is the smell of drains and feces near the showers and in the bathroom, nothing has changed in years. I don't understand why the operator doesn't even get to the bottom of this...

This is the best of all possible pools in the area between Bremen and Oldenburg. But nothing special.

Great atmosphere, fun and there is something for everyone

Super beautiful sauna landscape! Definitely worth a visit for sauna lovers. When we were there on Good Friday morning, it wasn't particularly crowded and therefore very relaxing.

20 years of Olantis - 20 years of a reason to travel from Bremen to Oldenburg. The neighboring city, which is four times the size, does not have a single comparable indoor swimming pool; most of Bremen's outdoor swimming pools cannot come close. However, my personal highlight is the Sauna World. Just for that I come to Olantis at least once a month 😊🏖🌊🔥

Very nice fun pool, but with a sports pool and exercise options. The 3 slides are great and a lot of fun! Unfortunately the pools are pretty dirty.

The spa is super great and the student offer makes it very attractive for young people!

Is a nice and clean swimming pool.

It's just totally annoying that this swimming pool allows you to reserve the loungers with towels all day long. As a family with children who need to rest every now and then, this is simply not possible because everything is blocked. The loungers are reserved all day with a towel and the owners sit on the lounger for about 0 - 15 minutes out of 5 hours of bathing time! In the sauna we make sure that something like this doesn't happen, but in the bathroom no one cares!

A nice indoor/outdoor pool. Great for swimming lengths or just bobbing around in the water.

The sauna area at OLantis is really great - especially because of the super nice and attentive staff. One employee in particular, who often wears a hat, is remembered extremely positively, but everyone else is always friendly and helpful. You can just tell that customer service is important here. A few small ideas for the future: Water dispensers would be great – like those we see in other large saunas. Then you wouldn't have to refill your water bottle in the sanitary area. Half-hour infusions would be a nice thing in winter, especially when it's really crowded. But I also totally understand that this is difficult in terms of personnel. And another detail: In the river sauna it would be nice if you could see a little more of the water in the evening - with a little more light on the river the view would certainly be improved. All in all, a really nice place to unwind. You'll be happy to come back!

We really enjoyed our visit to OLantis. Everything was very clean and very vigilant lifeguards. The ladies at reception were particularly friendly and, despite the rush, they really took their time with everyone. At this point I would also like to say a big thank you to the lady who handed my ring over to the checkout 🙏

Nice swimming pool for us as a family. Well set up and warmer than the swimming pools in the area, which is important for us, especially with small children. We like coming here.

It's been a long time since I've visited the sauna again. Thanks to the renovation, the place is also highly recommended with its many sauna options. Anyone looking for peace and quiet is also in good hands there. The restaurant in the sauna area, which is part of the “Lighthouse”, is recommended with delicious food. The wellness area, which is located in the same building, is also a good address with its messages. Peace and relaxation are also guaranteed. I haven't visited the indoor pool yet.

Even more beautiful after the renovation. I visited the sauna and restaurant. After finding a parking space under the high bridge, you can reach the entrance via the signposted pedestrian and bicycle path, which is approximately 250 meters away. There are plenty of cash registers at the bottom of the entrance, and a separate one for the sauna area upstairs. There was no waiting time anywhere. The relaxation begins on the upper floor. There are plenty of lockers with plenty of space. Friendly staff, available to help and advise. I was there on a weekday and always found a place for every infusion. These are offered lovingly and with humor. There's a lot to discover in the various relaxation rooms, and there are plenty of places to relax. A great outdoor area offers space to linger, and the different saunas offer variety. As for the restaurant, a sufficient, varied, and wide range of delicious freshly prepared dishes awaits you. In a beautifully decorated atmosphere. The fruit juice spritzers are also unique and tasty. Big compliments to the restaurant. Conclusion: the entire complex is always worth a visit.

A nice and large swimming pool with enough attractions. A visit and a jump into the cool water is recommended. The only sticking point is the rude staff (supervisors). One would think that the younger people in our society would be friendlier in this field. However, the workers at reception and in the bistro are friendly. Therefore only 4/5.

Good swimming pool that I like to visit with my granddaughter (5). Extra point: I lost a jacket there recently. Search form worked well and I was called when it was found.

It was for a midnight sauna. I'm a fan of smaller saunas. We had several infusions. Very friendly service, and the food there was super delicious! We'll definitely be back! Great team! A visit with the family for over 18 years and now with a grandchild is worth it. Unfortunately the food isn't that good anymore. Too expensive and not recommended in terms of taste. Too bad.

Bathroom ok, there is a strong smell of urine in the changing rooms. Water nice and warm. Price/performance bathroom ok. But: the catering is catastrophic. Overgrown prices, fries undercooked, dirty floor and tables, really dirty. Only card payment or with the chip. There is hair everywhere on the floor. Disgusting . There is also a covered area where romantic couples apparently hang out and don't just swim. Many people have complained that children dive there, swim and have to watch the couples having fun there. And I mean really fun. When we were there there were 7 couples making out and doing a lot more. One couple had sex in the water. When the lifeguard spoke to me about this, I was laughed at and no one intervened. I then said it again at the checkout. Never again Olantis!

Really nice saunas, with views outside, for example. Great relaxation rooms. The only major drawback for me is the food, with its steep prices for nothing special.

Very well maintained and newly renovated sauna area. The sauna on the Hunte seemed to have been the burner. The hut burned down 👍🏽

Wellness appointment canceled in good time, only after several inquiries from me was this confirmed... Refund is now taking 3 weeks... I'll never book like that again!!

We treated ourselves to a break in the sauna today and were completely thrilled by the ambience, the staff, the saunas were a dream 🥰 There was a great atmosphere in the women's sauna and we drove home to Wilhelmshaven really relaxed. We come more often now .❤️

A really great, clean facility. Everything looks new, inviting, nice clientele present. We were there on a Saturday with a family day and although there were actually a lot of families there, it wasn't overcrowded at all. There are showers and toilets everywhere and the relaxation rooms are extremely comfortable and quiet. There are magazines to borrow here and there, the prices are very reasonable for bathrobes etc. and so is the café. The only thing that could be criticized are the windows in the river sauna. Unfortunately, they were so dirty that you couldn't enjoy the beautiful view. The infusions were great and the staff were very nice and accommodating. There are also parking options. Definitely a recommendation.

Nice place, many pools, nice staff and cool slides

Unfortunately, the toddler area does not offer any toys. It's extremely cold in the changing room and it always smells very unpleasant. Other swimming pools simply offer this better and more advanced. Let's go to the canteen. 4€ for a portion of fries that a 5 year old (not overweight) won't get enough of is simply too expensive. Chicken burger for 9€ that is so small. I would have to eat three of them to be full. This is what I call abnormal profit margins. That was my first and last order there. If you have experienced it yourself, write it here. Only with many voices can something be achieved.

We really liked the lighthouse - very friendly, attentive service, nice atmosphere and delicious, varied breakfast, where the price-performance ratio was absolutely right. I can only recommend that you take a look at the lighthouse, it's worth it!!!!!

I was in the Olantis bathroom with my family, we just wanted to eat a bockwurst with pleasure, then I saw a young boy named Jens (as he was called by his colleagues) from the catering area who wasn't doing his job properly, he was eating the guests' remaining fries, which was pretty recyclable, he was not thorough in cleaning and was unfriendly when I pointed out stains on the table to him

Great sauna world with a wide range of offerings and good cuisine.

Very great for families. A pool for diving and playing for older children, a baby pool with lots of toys, an outdoor pool, a swimmers pool with a diving platform. Gastro offers the standard and is fine. The bathroom area is very clean, the showers could definitely be a little cleaner. But very good value for money. Would go again at any time.

I visited the women's sauna on Monday. The sauna area is really beautifully designed. A sauna was not accessible because it had caught fire. Too bad. I hope it will be rebuilt. Saunas with fireplaces are particularly comfortable. Admission for the whole day was reasonably priced. The restaurant in the sauna is also good. Burger meat was a bit dry but still tasted good. What I found negative was the volume. Basically, there was conversation in every sauna. In any volume and language. And when the sauna guests were quiet, people talked loudly in front of the sauna... It was not possible to switch off even in the relaxation rooms. If you place wooden furniture on wooden floors without rubber or felt pads, it will be loud every time you move! Wet feet in flip-flops or flip-flops were particularly annoying... sleep was out of the question. Apparently there is always a certain group of pensioners in the sauna who think they are entitled to everything. Reserving seats, having loud conversations, etc... you as the operator (even if you are a regular customer) should keep an eye on this too. The topic of hygiene: the showers became increasingly dirtier as time went on. There was a disgusting smell of urine in the hallways, especially in front of the steam room. Small dispensers with soap in the showers like before would be great. In general, sauna guests should be reminded about hygiene right from the start! Very few people went to the shower after using the toilet... I have visited and used every sauna. Everyone was great except the steam room. You could only notice the steam and heat on your head when you were standing. The body remained dry and cold. Even after staying for 20 minutes... and the smell wasn't pleasant either. I'm conflicted about whether I'll dare to visit again.

Great swimming pool. My children and I enjoy being there.

Great swimming pool, also for families with children. We were there with 2 6 year olds and 2 14 year olds. Everyone had fun. There are different slides. The catering offering is also good and reasonably priced.

Last week I was alone in the sauna in the evening because I was traveling to Oldenburg for work. Prices are completely fair, changing rooms are large and spacious, and everything is clean everywhere. You come out of the locker room and it was FULL! As it turned out, an infusion was about to start in the event sauna and all the infusion participants were waiting outside. Before each infusion, the respective sauna is closed for 10 minutes so that no one has to leave beforehand because it is too hot. There are 3 saunas on the upper floor, a smaller and a steam sauna on the lower floor, and 3 saunas outside. There are 3 individually separated relaxation areas and plenty of seating in between. If the weather is nice outside you can also relax there. There is a fresh water pool to swim a bit, but unfortunately no real diving pool... Unfortunately I miss that because I would like to really scare myself off like a boiled egg. 😂 (A diving pool is probably in the works and should open in 2025. I'm excited) The infusions are very well done, very friendly staff, and the birch infusion at 110 degrees in one of the outdoor saunas is particularly recommended! Small criticism number 2, the prices at the bar are relatively reasonable... Well, everyone makes money with drinks. All in all, I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Oldenburg. VG Henry
