A small, beautiful swimming pool for a family.

Sauna Area Good sauna area, nice saunas, and a lovely outdoor sauna complex. Unfortunately, it gets quite crowded on some days (weekends). The saunas close 10 minutes before an infusion, and you have to queue outside in the freezing cold and wait to be let in. I understand why the saunas close before an infusion. However, the resulting scramble and jostling right before the infusions isn't ideal. It makes the sauna experience very stressful, and waiting outside in a towel for 10 minutes is also annoying. Perhaps they should come up with something else to reduce these queues and the stressful scramble for space before the infusions. Nevertheless, it's a nice sauna area with great saunas (especially the river sauna), and the infusions are pleasant. I'll come back when I have the chance, but not on weekends.

Overall it was good. No reason not to go there again.

A highlight of the sauna season was the event at the beginning of January. With access to the swimming pool in fresh snow, it was an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much... from my perspective, it's also well worth a visit even "normally" 👍👍👍👍👍💯

A great swimming pool with potential for development. Unfortunately, it's often too crowded in the summer and lacks innovation, such as electric vehicle charging stations in the parking lots.

Very crowded between Christmas and New Year's.

I am a very enthusiastic visitor. The sauna area in particular is an absolute oasis for me, and we as residents of Oldenburg are very fortunate to have such a great opportunity for relaxation right on our doorstep.

Everything was perfect. It was clean and I felt very comfortable. Unfortunately, I can't give it 5 stars because the steam sauna was still quite cool in the mornings.

Wellness area with numerous relaxation zones and various saunas. Depending on the day of the week and holidays, it can get very crowded. You can only rely on Google's occupancy scale occasionally. Restaurant and bar with a good selection and friendly service. Parking is usually plentiful. The outdoor area is nicely designed and sometimes offers food and drinks when the weather is good.

A large and modern sauna area that leaves almost nothing to be desired. We also visited the restaurant. Large portions that taste great and are worth the price.

Swimming pool with various pools for children and adults. A toddler pool with small slides, a fun area with a current and an outdoor area, three large slides, and a lap pool. I didn't use the wellness facilities. A restaurant is available with a typical selection for a swimming pool.

Beautiful swimming pool for the whole family

Swimming, sauna, wellness, outdoor pool, food & drinks... Beautiful swimming pool.

First and last visit to the sauna area. The first Saturday in January, and having to pay a €5 event surcharge at 9:00 AM for something that starts at 6:00 PM is outrageous. So, €34.50 for a day ticket. Everything was fine until 12:00 PM, but then it got crowded. An estimated 300-400 people, so very crowded, waiting everywhere, pushing and shoving, saunas overcrowded and ultimately insufficient. The crowning glory is the so-called sauna masters 😁 no clue about sauna infusions. They insist on keeping oxygen out of the sauna, but everyone has to leave to prepare, yet nothing happens, except for one girl, completely overwhelmed, bringing her bucket for fans into the sauna. A relaxing sauna experience should be something else entirely. The "relaxation room"—a great idea—is where people talk, eat, or even pee. After reporting it to the information desk, two people go to check, but nothing happens. In conclusion, a visit that cost a lot of money and offered absolutely no relaxation. We left at 4:00 PM because the crowds were unbearable. The main thing is that the cash register rings. Thanks a lot!

Review: Disappointing Sauna Visit The sauna was extremely overcrowded. There were no usable seats or loungers outside due to the cold, leaving only the relaxation room. However, this was also overcrowded, as loungers and seats were constantly reserved with towels. Consequently, it was very noisy – there was no peace and quiet whatsoever. The worst part was the organization of the sauna infusions. Although they were offered, in sub-zero temperatures, you had to wait outside the sauna for about 10 minutes beforehand, covered only by a towel, until the sauna master finally let you in. This might not be a problem in the summer, but in winter it's absolutely unacceptable. The restaurant was also completely packed. We had to wait around 40 minutes for drinks and food. Considering the already very high prices for admission, drinks, and food, this is completely unacceptable. The experience might be more pleasant in the summer, as you can go outside. However, I won't be testing that – I definitely won't be visiting this sauna again. Instead of relaxation, I caught a bad cold and spent a lot of money on it. ❌ Conclusion: No relaxation, poor organization, overpriced.

The parking lots were completely full, the lockers were broken, and the pool area itself was far too noisy with screaming children and parents. Kids would jump right on you, and the lifeguards did nothing. The shower area is missing a door, so anyone can see you showering. I left the pool area stressed out after less than an hour.

I can only speak for the sauna: Very large, spacious saunas with regular infusions. There's a bar and a restaurant; prices are typical for the area, and the staff is very attentive. There are several relaxation areas, one where whispering is permitted. There's also a sauna where you can speak quietly. You have to bring your own soap, etc. Unfortunately, there are days when it's very busy, and the number of visitors isn't limited. On those days, it's difficult to find peace and quiet.

OLantis is very family-friendly; you can tell that's a priority. The lap pool is rather short, but the lanes were well-organized. There was always a lifeguard on duty. The water temperature was perfect, and the staff were very friendly.

We were here between the holidays and were honestly pleasantly surprised. We had expected it to be packed, but it wasn't at all. It was quite busy, but still very comfortable, without any stress or crowding. Even the queues for the slide were consistently manageable. Sometimes we didn't have to wait at all. Even from the outside, the pool is visually stunning; the brick facade gives it a high-quality and well-designed look. The reception area is particularly impressive, and this well-maintained, modern impression continues throughout the interior. The tiles in the restrooms aren't brand new, but they're perfectly fine and clean. So, not a negative point, more of a neutral observation. The pool area itself is very well done: a large swimming pool with several lanes and a diving board, a separate non-swimmer's pool, and a spacious adventure area that also allows you to swim outdoors. Various jets, showers, whirlpools, and especially the spinning whirlpool are a lot of fun. The indoor climate was also very pleasant. The advertised 29°C was definitely noticeable. No chills, no drafts, just a consistently pleasant warmth, the kind you sadly miss in many older swimming pools. We found the glass partition between the non-swimmer area and the swimming pool particularly practical and well-designed. The sun still shone through, warming the stone foundation on which the glass panel rests. Sitting there for a short break or a bite to eat was truly cozy. There was absolutely no draft, and the combination of sunlight and glass created an incredibly pleasant warmth – very well thought out and comfortable. The outdoor area also makes a really cool impression, even though it was closed during the winter. The price is absolutely fair: €22 for a family day ticket (2 adults, up to 3 children) is fantastic. You can easily go several times for that price. It's honestly a shame that Bremen doesn't have such a modern, well-designed leisure pool – Oldenburg is definitely ahead in this regard. But what else can you expect from the parties that have been governing Bremen for decades? The spa area looks very attractive, at least in the pictures, but we didn't use it this time. We skipped the indoor restaurant, but there's a very nice restaurant right next to the pool area that looks great and seems highly recommended. Overall, it's a fantastic package: modern, pleasant, family-friendly, and very well executed. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. A real model for other cities.

It's been a very long time since my last visit to that swimming pool. I find the pool very clean, and the staff are always friendly. There's something for everyone, from non-swimmers to pros. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the sauna area, as I haven't been there yet.

We've been to the lighthouse restaurant several times now. You wouldn't expect a restaurant like this at a swimming pool. The food is incredibly delicious and imaginative. The service is quick and very friendly. The atmosphere is really cozy. We'll be back!

I generally think Olantis is quite good. However, the staff are very racist. We were kicked out after 10 minutes even though we hadn't done anything. I wouldn't recommend going there.

A very nice place to stay with great events.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We are professional divers and just wanted to spend a short evening at the 1-meter diving board. Unfortunately, after only 20 minutes of diving, we were accused of lacking consideration. The irony is that other swimmers were provocatively swimming around in the landing area. Even after speaking to them and making eye contact, we couldn't talk to them. As a result, they even closed the 1-meter diving board to us. A real shame, not recommended.

Excellent value for families! How far you're willing to travel is up to you :)

We went to the water park area. Unfortunately, it was very crowded. There are three slides, and the children enjoyed them, as well as the whirlpool.

The sauna itself is really lovely, with great staff and a wide variety of infusions. However, it's completely unacceptable in this day and age to exclude men once a week, therefore I cannot recommend it.

The food and service were really great.

This is just the sauna review. The sauna was moderately overcrowded. There was no seating available outside. Since only the relaxation room was open, it was correspondingly noisy. The restaurant was also completely full; we stood in line for 10 minutes before we could order a Coke. The prices for entry and drinks were too high. There was no service at the bar, but piles of dirty bottles, glasses, etc. There was no sign indicating that it was closed, and we waited in vain for staff. It might be better in the summer because you could go outside, but I'll find out for sure because I'll never go there again. Zero relaxation, but a lot of money wasted.

I highly recommend the sauna. It's especially affordable for students and school pupils.

The swimming pool and sauna are great, but the sauna guests are reserving sleeping spots even though it's not allowed. The lifeguards just put up stupid signs saying it's not allowed, but what good does that do the guests? I suggest guests put their things down and take them themselves; we're not in a hotel, are we? We were there on a Friday afternoon. The saunas were good, and the infusions were really enjoyable. Unfortunately, it was extremely crowded, so almost all the loungers were occupied, and you had to queue very early for the infusions. Some of the rooms didn't smell particularly good, but overall it was a nice sauna experience.

We went to the sauna area at Olantis yesterday. The sauna infusions weren't very impressive. You have to wait outside for 10 minutes and are then forced to leave. The staff in the restaurant area were unfriendly. We were very dissatisfied.

🟢 Positive: • The staff is always friendly and helpful. From the service desk to the supervisors: everyone is great. • Cleanliness of the changing rooms/hair dryer area 🔴 Negative: • In my opinion, there should definitely be a smartphone ban throughout the entire pool area. I regularly see people using their phones everywhere, even outside the water. Today, a young couple was taking pictures at the poolside (while still in the water). An employee said he couldn't forbid them from doing so. • During my last few visits, there were always problems with a certain clientele (keyword: cityscape) who behave disrespectfully and get very close to me. The balls they throw often go astray in the outdoor area, missing their target, which annoys not only me. • The noise in the children's changing area also really stresses me out. It doesn't matter what time it is. Were we all this "hyperactive" back then? • In the lap pool/swimming lane, I often find groups of people "chilling" or couples cuddling, which disrupts my flow while swimming. All in all, I wish the staff would take more decisive action. It used to be better years ago. :-)

For me, the most beautiful sauna in the entire region!

Review of the sauna area. First off: Generally, the facilities are nice, and the staff is very courteous. BUT: There is no requirement to undress in the saunas! Many young men, mostly with a migration background, sit with towels wrapped around them among the completely naked sauna guests. This should only be permitted for very young women or those who are menstruating. A separate sauna for everyone else could be provided. Otherwise, the rule is: Stay outside.

We only went to the sauna; there are 3 upstairs, 2 or 3 downstairs 😁, and 3 outside. Many offer sauna infusions. The staff is friendly and funny. You should queue about 10 minutes before the infusion, as it can get very crowded on weekends. Unfortunately, towels don't dry very well, so it's best to bring a small one with you. 💞

Well, it was simply overcrowded. Swimming was hardly possible, and people were spitting everywhere. It was an experience, nothing more.

Didn't go to the pool, but did use the sauna. It was beautifully landscaped, but different from what we're used to in the Netherlands. The restaurant staff were very friendly.

First time there, but definitely not last. Friendly staff and great service. The schnitzel was unfortunately a bit tough and dry, but otherwise everything was great! I highly recommend the swimming pool and especially the sauna area. It's worth the trip, even from further afield.

Overall, the Olantis Huntebad impresses as a leisure and sports pool with a wide range of offerings that appeal to both swimmers and families. Minor criticisms concern occasional overcrowding.

The renovation has only made the sauna area worse... Why was this even done???? And the outdoor warm pool is also (literally) cool, if there's any water in it at all. Since the renovation was finished, it's been sitting outside, permanently covered with a tarp. I'd rather go to the Grafttherme in Delmenhorst now. They have a warm water pool there, and it actually has warm water in it...

We went there for breakfast yesterday. We received a warm welcome. We highly recommend the breakfast for two. A wide variety of options, fresh orange juice, and everything beautifully presented. All this in a cozy atmosphere. 😀 We'd love to come back.

It was crowded, but the sauna area is excellent. The price/performance ratio is superb.

City park in Oldenburg Autumn can be so beautiful

I find it quite restless here at times.

The thermal baths have a peculiar pricing structure. I visited on November 1st, 2025, at noon with a 3-hour ticket and still had to pay the €5 surcharge for the themed evening, which started at 6 pm. The food is mediocre: the pumpkin-ginger cream was a very runny pumpkin soup drowning in oil. The sauna attendant seemed annoyed because I didn't leave the sauna quickly enough 10 minutes before the sauna infusion was due to start and reprimanded me for not immediately taking my bathrobe, which I had left in the sauna anteroom, with me to cool off in the pouring rain. Only the saunas, changing rooms, numerous relaxation areas, and showers/toilets were okay. I also found the clientele pleasant.

Super friendly service, generous breakfast buffet, always worth a visit.

There used to be more charm. Since the renovation, it's been designed for mass turnover. Space for relaxation has been sacrificed in the process. Lockers are smaller, bag compartments are smaller (and there are too few of them), and aisles are narrower. Some chairs and loungers are "reserved." Worth mentioning: the staff in the restaurant area are very attentive and friendly.

It gets crowded quickly. Unfortunately, there's generally little space if it's not warm enough outside.

I'm currently at Olantis! Entry is time-limited! The food service is supposed to open at 3 PM! There's kitchen staff, but no server! Was I able to order anything? NO! I've wasted 25 minutes on this! Thanks to management – ​​anyone could organize something like this, and the worst part is the timed entry! That's not service! One point deducted for the lack of organization of the food service. Second point deducted for wasting 25 minutes. Third point deducted for the timed entry, and four points deducted because, despite complaining to the kitchen staff and the cashier, no one took any initiative! Only one point for the amazing lifeguards!

It's a real shame that a men's evening in the sauna was scheduled for a Friday...

The parking situation is... creative and quite stressful with children. The pool itself is okay, but it gets incredibly crowded, so you're often standing shoulder to shoulder with other swimmers.

Very nice facility, but not entirely well thought out! Locker sizes and bag storage could be better! And the established rules (towel size, no cell phones, bathrobe requirement, etc.) are unfortunately not observed!

There are several sauna areas inside the building. There are three more outside. There are many different ways to relax. Drinks are welcome inside (no glass bottles, of course), and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's always a pleasure to be there.

It was quite busy at the start of the holiday season… unfortunately, there weren't enough loungers for the many bathers… free parking is a big plus, and so is the entrance fee :)

The saunas are beautifully designed. We didn't like the fact that we had to queue for the infusion because only one infusion was offered initially. A second infusion was later announced, but it was significantly shorter. 😏 In the café, we had to wait significantly longer for our coffee, while the table next to us was already being served their fries. For these reasons, only ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

Visited the sauna area. Nice saunas, I especially liked the river sauna. The steam room was cold. There's no warm exercise pool with massage jets. Delmenhorst can do better in that area. The food is OK. The lunch special (pasta with mushrooms) could have been more flavorful. Opens at 9:00 on Sundays, which is good. Get there early before it gets crowded in the afternoon. I'd be happy to come back.

Nice swimming pool, reasonable price and three slides

The adventure area is relatively small. The slides are really good. The staff is very friendly. The showers smelled strongly of urine, even though we were there first thing in the morning. The food is extremely expensive, and my fries weren't seasoned, but my daughter's were probably twice as seasoned. The fries were absolutely not tasty. My partner's loaded fries with pullit pork were very disappointing. The pullit pork was cold and barely edible. The chicken burger was very spicy, even though it didn't say so anywhere. It's probably okay for a 2-3 hour visit, but you can't spend a whole day there. I'm disappointed.

Very disappointing. We had to cut short our visit because the police suddenly closed the parking lot – without warning, alternative parking spaces, or clear instructions. Guests were only informed shortly before the closure at the pool, not at the entrance. The only available spaces were in the overcrowded court area. Having to rush out of the pool with the whole family was sheer madness. We used the pool and the sauna – the relaxation was completely gone afterward. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unfriendly given the situation!

Only recommended if you're deliberately not looking to relax, are looking for a playground with your entire family, or just want to chill out with your phone. This isn't a sauna, it's a bad joke.

A truly beautiful place to relax 😊 I'll definitely be going to the sauna more often now, despite the hour-long drive. The swimming area is also great; everything is clean and tidy. The saunas, infusions, and general relaxation are not neglected here. The staff always know their stuff and know what they're doing. 💪 Highly recommended. 🙏

Water below 30 degrees a bit too cold

The people who work at the swimming pool aren't nice. Yesterday, I and my children were treated with racism because I wear a hijab.

The sauna was nicer before the renovation. We were there on October 4, 2025. There was an event, and it was extremely crowded at times. We only participated in the infusions in the event sauna, and even there, there was just pushing and shoving at the entrance. And it was really crowded. Sauna is for relaxation, and you pay an extra fee for the infusions. It was too crowded to participate. It's better to go to the saunas in the surrounding area.

Very clean and well-maintained, the staff is dedicated and friendly, and I highly recommend it for relaxation and recuperation! Pure wellness!

The water is a comfortable temperature, even for small children, and my kids love swimming there. Unfortunately, it's sometimes very crowded, and on weekends, the men's and women's changing rooms are open to all genders, which has caused me a few uncomfortable situations.

The sauna is (partially) new and really nice. The food is great.

We were at Olantis on September 27, 2025. At 6 p.m., when we participated in the "Music Express" infusion in the event sauna, the sauna guests were sprinkled with ice chips at the end. The sauna master then swept the rest of the ice from the bowl over the guests. Apparently, there was still a large piece of ice in the bowl, which hit me on the head. I find this action irresponsible and would have hoped for at least an apology. Because it didn't go unnoticed by him. I will not visit this sauna again.

We were at Olantis for the first time in a long time, and I think it was probably the last time. Prices are okay, despite the adjustments. But they could use some improvement. Due to the relatively small bathing areas, it quickly feels too crowded. Relaxing splashing around, etc., is out of the question. The staff could be a bit friendlier. It's very uncomfortable when the lifeguards approach you. The biggest drawback, however, are the shower and changing areas. Three family cabins are far too few on a busy Sunday. There was always a line at the family showers. The fixtures and fittings are in dire need of replacement, and the cleanliness is also poor. All in all, it was a disappointing visit to the pool.

Many areas are closed (whirlpools, plunge pools, earth sauna), the infusions are only lukewarm, and the experience is lacking. The canteen closes early, but the price is still full. It used to be great, but today it's unfortunately disappointing.
