Bestial in Oldenburg (Oldb)

There are a few nice seats in the front, but in the back you feel truly relegated to the back. The dim lighting doesn't even illuminate every table, the space is cramped, and the decor is tasteless. My cutlery and wine glass weren't clean, but the very friendly waiter replaced them immediately. The staff seemed overwhelmed, but were exceptionally friendly. We and other guests had to wait far too long for our first drink order. My meal was excellent, but my wife found her pasta bland. We won't be going back. Schmitz or Kevin Gideon offer much better.

A very sophisticated and chic ambiance with a carefully selected menu. I personally enjoyed homemade pasta. The dish was beautifully presented. A nice selection of drinks, including fine non-alcoholic cocktails to complement the food. The open kitchen with its open fire provides a unique setting in Oldenburg, right next to the State Theatre. I would gladly return anytime. Despite the large number of guests on this December evening, the service was very attentive, prompt, and courteous.

The food was excellent, although it was a bit noisy, but that's due to the size of the venue. Overall, very satisfied. The underground parking was very expensive; less than two hours for €7.

The ambiance is outstanding. Unfortunately, the interior lacks that final touch. No table decorations, just two LED tea lights on the table, cheap napkins… and the truffle pasta sadly didn't contain any real truffle. The food was good and the portions were generously sized, but as I said, it was missing that final something – especially for the price…

We were here on Saturday evening; it was fully booked, there's an open kitchen, very polite staff, and plenty of delicious, fresh food on the plate. It was a very nice evening in your great atmosphere!

Finally, a restaurant that caters to all the needs of non-alcoholics. Martina and her team are wonderful hosts. The food is delicious, and the ambiance invites you to linger for a long time. We had a truly lovely evening, thank you so much!

Once again, the food was delicious! Super friendly staff.

I made a reservation for 9 p.m., only to be told "the kitchen is closed. They only serve snacks." The website says "food until 10:30 p.m." Unfortunately, the service wasn't great either. I had to get my own cutlery for my €17 cold tarte flambée. Best to go to another restaurant—it's not worth the time/money.

We went to "Bestiality" before a theater visit. The food was good, nicely presented, and the portions were generous. We particularly liked the staff, both in the restaurant and at the bar. The atmosphere was just right. Thank you very much.

It's been very good for years. We like the lunch menu. It's nice and quiet from 12 p.m. onwards, and you can sit outside in the summer. The food is always a 10 out of 10.

Very good and sometimes unusual combination of dishes. It's not cheap, but worth every euro. The staff is very friendly and beyond having fun. We'd love to come back.

I was there for lunch yesterday. The food was truly excellent. What disappointed me, however, was that the PUREZZA Premium water I was sold was actually filtered tap water. I researched the supplier of the filter systems. The manufacturer of these filter systems advertises its sustainability credentials, but this doesn't apply to Bestial, as I discovered several crates of water in plastic bottles under a table. I find it outrageous that you have to pay €2.90 for 0.375 liters of tap water. Especially since filtering our tap water is completely unnecessary in Germany. Since I absolutely dislike tap water and there is no alternative available, I had to go without a drink.

A top address not only for visitors to the State Theater directly opposite. We were greeted very nicely, the service with drinks and food was very good and quick, and the dishes we chose were very good.

We had a great evening as a large group. My pizza was extremely tasty, something different! The waiter was also very nice and on the ball. The only thing that bothered us was that the boss (?) started clearing away from us while some of us were still eating.

This was my second visit to Bestial and I really enjoyed it again. The food is something different, away from the mainstream and of very high quality. Cozy atmosphere and attentive but not intrusive service.

We have always enjoyed the high quality of pasta in Bestial. Hint: If you want to try something different, try their pasta with liver.

Went for dinner with a large group of 36 people. Tapas as a starter was delicious and with lots of variety. Main courses were communicated in advance and were on everyone's table within a few minutes, fantastic.

The cocktails are very good, but unfortunately the food is not worth the exorbitant price. For just under €19 we would have expected a fresh burger patty and not frozen meat. Unfortunately, the food overall wasn't very tasty... as if the spices were completely missing. If “the chef is in love” with an oversalted dish, then the chefs at Bestail are all in the middle of a divorce.

The service and food was first class.

Depending on what you order, the food is delicious. However, “Red Pizza” was very dry. What is not possible for the price-performance ratio are the toilets (ladies). They were dirty and unclean. The paper was all over the place. Very unfortunate.

Food really excellent! .. unfortunately the service was extremely rare and not really interested. As a “new” or “first seen guest” I just felt “unspectular” to myself/us, uninteresting and unimportant. Really very, very unprofessional and unfortunately very, very inappropriate.… When asked, a staff shortage emerged that could have been communicated before dissatisfaction arose. There are definitely other exciting places in Oldenburg, where I just moved…

Great food. Perfect beef fillet. However, other guests were given preferential treatment. We were only able to order and reorder drinks because we asked. That was a shame.

Wir waren vor einer Theatervorstellung als größere Gruppe im Bestial zum Essen. Für uns war es eine tolle Einstimmung in den Abend. Wenn ich Oldenburg noch einmal besuchen sollte, werde ich sicherlich wieder in das Bestial gehen.

Unfortunately, the Bestial is definitely no longer what it used to be, which is a real shame. I had almost forgotten my impression from my last visit there, but when we stopped by yesterday the memory flared up again. Only this time I was even less satisfied. It was still quite empty and didn't look like there were too few service staff. Nevertheless, we tried in vain for 20 minutes to get a waiter's attention and so we were left stranded for almost half an hour during our very long wait for the main course. Doubly annoying because our order for the main course was lost in the kitchen and had to be requested again there. So in the end after 2 hours we didn't even have time for an espresso because we had a follow-up appointment. The edge of the main course pizza was dark brown! Also black in some places, the dough base was also black in many places, I can't even get that on a ready-made pizza. The taste experience was correspondingly disappointing. Unfortunately, my stomach wasn't doing well either. Annoying. We also found the decoration careless with LED tea lights. Unfortunately, placemats in Bestial now seem to be overrated, as are the little greetings from the kitchen that always used to be available. Conclusion: For such a disappointing evening, almost 100 euros for 2 people is simply not a good value for money for the guest, so we will not be coming back. By the way, I already gave exactly this feedback to the waitress in the restaurant.

Qualität der insbesondere vom Fleisvh war schlecht. Kellner hat außerdem 10,- Euro zuviel von Karte abgezogen. Dies schien NICHT Zufall oder Missverständnis zu sein ...

The Bestial is perfectly located if you want to go to the Oldeburg State Theater after a good meal. Here you sit comfortably in a stylishly designed environment, receive very attentive and friendly service and are served delicious and original dishes. We've been to Bestial three times now and are sure it won't be our last visit.

Unfortunately, the restaurant seems to lack the professionalism to respond to reservations in a timely manner. A booking made over a month ago will be canceled two days before its appointment because the restaurant is closed.

We went to Bestial for brunch and really enjoyed it. Everything tasted very good; from smoked salmon to the selection of cheese and cold cuts. The service was quick and friendly - despite the full restaurant. We'd love to come back.

We had a Christmas party here, but unfortunately something went wrong. We weren't able to take our place until much too late, so we had to wait outside for a long time. The food came far too late and the starter was far too few for the number of people. After ordering, drinks came too late or not at all. Cocktail orders were rudely rejected by the head waiter because we don't have anything on the menu today and we don't have enough staff. Not okay for a location like this in this price range. Maybe it was just a stressful time but it was disappointing that evening, even though we paid a lot of money here.

We ordered pizza from Bestial for dinner and had it delivered via Uber Eats. Unfortunately, the pizza arrived almost cold, which of course the restaurant can't do anything about. But a good pizza also tastes good cold. And there lies the problem. Unfortunately it wasn't a good pizza. Little taste and the base had nothing to do with real pizza dough. It's better to order from any pizza delivery service in Oldenburg.

We reserved online and got a really great table. Service: our man of the hour. Super nice. Food also delicious. Good mood. The evening was a lot of fun. The white wine spritzer has to be highlighted: it's not just mush but has taste.

Super nice, always try to offer something special and like to come up with more special cocktails. All steaks and most other things are great, don't eat the burger.
