Very tasty Kaiserschmarn with a great view of the mountains

Eggshell in Kaiserschmarren. And a minimum portion of 14€. If you've pointed this out, you'll get a cheeky answer, customer orientation is zero... they probably don't need it... then you'd better go to the Wallbergmoosalm. You get twice as much, 100x tastier and cheaper!!! 😍

The food was very tasty and the portions were generous. What's particularly nice is that you get friendly service here. Large selection of regional dishes & nice daily specials. The whole thing is rounded off with the great view!

The panoramic restaurant and its terrace live up to their name. We have enjoyed the beautiful view of Lake Tegernsee and the surrounding area several times. The range of drinks and food is extensive, as is the selection of cakes. We recommend the plum datschi with cream and an elderflower spritzer, delicious 😋. Of course there are also schnitzel and fries and Bavarian delicacies. Here you will be served by an extremely friendly team, always with a smile and a friendly saying, you will feel at home. We will come again! The surrounding area is always worth a walk, people who are not so fit can definitely make the short path to the chapel, several benches tempt you to take a break and let your gaze wander into the distance or watch the paragliders take off and fly. Come on, come to the Wallberg, on foot or by train and enjoy your beautiful mountain day. The view is free.

I recommend! Friendly staff and pleasant service. The food is varied, meat and fish dishes, there are also salads and potatoes if you are a vegetarian. Ice cream and refreshing drinks are also available. You definitely won't go hungry.

The food was mediocre at best - super basic quality. We ordered käsespätzle and kaiserschmann. The panoramic views from the terrace are beautiful, which is why I guess this restaurant is highly rated. They also have a microwave for guests to warm up baby food.

Great restaurant with a viewing terrace on the Wallberg...staff and service very nice...special requests (e.g. different salad dressing) are easily implemented here...large selection of food and drinks...special daily specials that are not on the menu, are displayed on boards on the walls - it's worth taking a look around... the food is very tasty and very tastefully/decoratively prepared... the ambience inside is also very cozy and invites you to linger.

I ate the worst cheese crumble cake of my life there yesterday! Imagine: There comes a piece of lukewarm cake with flabby, moist streusel on top. And a tough soil. It was obvious that the cake had been defrosted very quickly in the microwave. And they charge €4.70 for that. A real disgrace!

1 cutlery extra € 1,-…. Monopolist on the Wallberg makes full use of his market power. No joke, extra cutlery in case you want to share a Kaiserschmarrn (€16.90) with one person costs €1 extra. Are you crazy?! Overall, great restaurant, very nicely located and also very tasty. However, prices and style overshadow things on the other hand. Gondola ride €27. For this reason alone, it's more recommended for fit people... who wants to pay that much?!

Food very expensive. Understandable given today's homemade prices! Had 2 pairs of Viennese with a slice of bread, steamed noodles and 1 beer for an incredible €27. Incredible! But at least the view made up for it...

The location just makes it attractive! In terms of taste, it meets the normal average. Prices clearly too high, extra cutlery = €1.

Very nice location. But the prices are definitely too expensive. Especially since you have to pay 27 euros per person for the mountain railway. It would then be better to give guests a discount of 20%.

The mountain path is the goal! For people who are fit enough. (Unfortunately this no longer applies to me). When you get to the top, everything tastes wonderful. And the view of the Tegernsee valley is unique.

A very popular viewing point and a must when you are at Tegernsee. The restaurant is in a great location, we just had something to drink and it went quickly.

The staff gave me good advice about the weather conditions and whether hiking down into the valley was possible again or not, and they were always friendly, quick and personable!

Nice view, good place to have a beer after a hike. Very grumpy staff. The waiter that had our table was busy serving food and we did not manage to ask this specific waiter that was in charge of our table to pay our bill as they were very busy serving food and we had waited approximately 15 minutes. Therefore, we kindly asked another waiter working in the same area if we could pay our bill and he basically yelled at us making us feel stupid for asking another waiter in the restaurant if we could pay our bill...

There were two waiters on deck, so we had to wait for a bit, and they kept asking us if we wanted any food. Otherwise it was great, the view was spectacular.

Since the Berghotel Altes Wallberghaus was unfortunately closed today, we stopped here before heading back down into the valley. The ambience is quite nice with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. Nothing could be said against the service today either. But I can't understand why the food is sometimes so praised here. We had a variety of dishes, but the quality was more on the level of "frozen schnitzel warmed in the microwave", and the Kaiserschmarrn was also unfortunately disappointing. So next time it's better to eat something delicious in the valley or take your own snack and enjoy the view :)

We were there last weekend. The waiters were so grumpy and unfriendly. Food was expensive but average in quality and small in size. And the most hilarious thing is that they charged us extra for forks!!!! I would never go there and I never recommend this place. There are way better places down the hill.

We were there at lunchtime in bad weather. The map was very clear. Unfortunately the dishes were quite small and also very expensive. Service was good and it was tasty too.

We went hiking on the Wallberg and then stopped at the panoramic restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Since the weather was nice, we ate outside and enjoyed the wonderful view. Price/performance was right.

Went to the restaurant today. I had eaten potato soup. It tasted like it came from a can and was diluted again with water. Really disgusting. Don't order these when you stop there. The waiters were all super nice.

I was at the restaurant this morning with a couple who were friends of mine. Very nice and friendly service. We really liked a waiter with his humor 😀 The breakfast white sausages were super tasty. The view is breathtaking. We recommend.

Far too expensive for the food on offer. 18€ for a Kaiserschmarrn of the category: quite ok. Staff isn't too friendly either. Attention: If you want an extra fork so that you can eat for two, it costs €2 extra. Perhaps understandable for large groups. But there were only four of us. Drinks also quite expensive. The only thing that convinces is the beautiful view, but you can have that without spending €18 on Kaiserschmarrn.

Beautiful. With huge windows you can admire the beautiful mountains and enjoy the view in the warmth, especially in winter when the temperatures are freezing. Food and drink very tasty, staff very friendly and everything was very clean and traditional/modern.... Always my pleasure...

Good cuisine high above Lake Tegernsee. Right next to the Wallbergbahn and easily accessible on foot from the mountain station, the regional cuisine is a delight with an unforgettable view and reasonable prices.

Lovely place situated on a mountain top and with a view! And what a view! You'll be left spellbound while admiring the gorgeous mountains surrounding you. It was a surreal experience! The food was good, we ordered soup of the day and Pommes. Good portions and fair price.

CUTE...A LITTLE HAOTIC...BUT OVERALL GOOD

When the weather is nice you have a wonderful view over the Alps. When the sun is shining, you can enjoy one or two treats with tea, coffee or beer on the terrace. Inside you have the same wonderful view! It's bearable here.

If you want to have a relaxed meal and enjoy a beautiful view, this is the place for you.

Very unfriendly service - not again.

Unfortunately, the Kaiserschmarrn did not meet our expectations for the price

Nice view and we received friendly service. The cake was good value for money, the soup was a bit small for over 6 euros. In general, in my opinion, Many prices here have lost their grip on the ground, such as coffee for over 5 euros and Kaiserschmarrn at almost 19 euros. But as long as someone pays for it, you can do it.

The restaurant itself is also nice, a wonderful view of the mountain panorama, nothing to say, the only flaw is the food, maybe that we took a plate of lentils but it seemed like it was taken directly from the tin that is sold in the supermarket and simply warmed up , it was completely tasteless, a shame because I would have expected something more, maybe the rest of the menu was fantastic and we had the misfortune of taking the only dish that wasn't good.

We did not like so much the view and the atmosphere from inside, thus we decided to take a coffee and drink it outside. We had to pay of course a guarantee for the cup….!

The waitress forgets the napkin for the main course. When asked whether we can pay, another waitress replies that she is not responsible and runs away and doesn't inform any other waitress. Young people serve in street clothes - employees are not all recognizable as service personnel. Food couldn't have been better. Ambience and view also great. Adjust the service a little and it would be almost perfect.

You can expect more from a Kaiserschmarrn for over 18 euros

Unfortunately the food is really overpriced. Goulash soup 11 euros. Pretzels instead of rolls cost extra. But it was really good. I know steam dumplings differently. Came to the table already lukewarm for 8.40 euros. And what's more, with a very unfriendly waiter. My daughter works in service herself and can certainly judge this well. Unfortunately we apparently got the wrong one. Panorama was great. This is really an experience!

Sehr schöner Ausblick in die umliegende Bergwelt. Super schneller und sehr freundlicher Service. Das Essen (Käsespätzle und Currywurst) hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt.
