Delicious food, generous portions, friendly service, and spotless. The food arrives quickly. The Kaiserschmarrn is incredibly fluffy and delicious – the best I've ever had. Highly recommended!

Surprisingly good. The food tasted good, and a special request was initially forgotten. The food arrived faster than the drinks. It was very busy.

The restaurant is located right next to the cable car at Wallberg. If you get a window seat, you have a beautiful view of the mountains. It's especially busy on weekends, but you still get your food and service quickly. Unfortunately, the food is average and only just okay for the higher prices. The vanilla sauce was watery, and the soup was more like a starter soup. The service was attentive, but the head server was unfortunately very dominant, not particularly friendly, and seemed quite stressed. In my opinion, the server's mood unfortunately affects the entire atmosphere and is important for the overall impression. All in all, it was a good visit, but there's room for improvement.

Everything was great! It's just a shame that the guests were so disrespectful to the staff. They do a fantastic job and try hard to get to the tables quickly. The food was also delicious, and the view speaks for itself.

We were at Wallberg in beautiful weather, and of course, we weren't alone. There were so many people, all clearly looking forward to stopping at the Wallberg restaurant. It was incredibly busy, almost overwhelming 😶. The staff went to great lengths to be friendly, smiling, and even cracking a joke! The drinks took a little while, but everything arrived eventually, and we really enjoyed the food! ⭐️ You're doing a fantastic job ⭐️ We noticed a lot of frustration among the people, which is a real shame when you see how beautiful nature, mountains, and sunshine can be 🙏

Excellent food and friendly staff. Unfortunately, it was extremely crowded due to New Year's and consequently had very long waiting times, but the view was magnificent!

We ordered drinks at 2:10 PM. We happily chose our food. At 2:20 PM, we ordered the food. At 2:35 PM, the waitress came and said the owner had said the kitchen was closed. But everywhere it says that hot food is served until 3:00 PM and drinks until 3:30 PM. We could easily have made it. So why let us choose, take our order, then make us wait, and then cancel it? Can't you tell the waiters not to take any more orders? And please write it down correctly; the guests follow your rules. Half the restaurant was angry and gave us strange looks.

2:40 PM Brilliant sunshine! We were greeted with the words, "Kitchen closed!" Another 30 minutes later, still no service, we gave up! We would have been happy with just a beer, but the unfriendly man on the terrace wasn't interested! €60 gondola ride for nothing!

Unfortunately, there are too few seats available on the sun terrace. When the weather is nice, they fill up quickly. Despite this, when asked, the waiter confirmed that it is not permitted to drink your beverage while standing, let alone to get one.

We were there today, December 24th; it snowed, so beautiful. The food was very good, our server was very friendly, and the restaurant was lovely. A great trip.

45 minutes before closing time, you simply don't get served... We wanted to have a cappuccino and a piece of cake at 3:30 pm. We were professionally ignored by the server(s).

Friendly service, great view in the sunshine. However, €7.50 for a cup of tea with a few pancake strips? Something to think about… especially in this age of convenience food, etc.

Unfortunately, this was a truly disappointing visit. The "seasonal mixed salad" consisted of four wilted green leaves, a quartered tomato, and a tiny piece of bell pepper – an absolute rip-off at €12. It was accompanied by Kaspressknödel (cheese dumplings) served on sauerkraut, which were hard, dry, and clearly not fresh. They tasted like they were several days old and had only been briefly reheated, and weren't even properly piping hot. The drinks were no consolation either: The herbal tea was okay, but the hot chocolate came with cream that had already curdled and formed lumps. When we complained, the friendly but visibly overwhelmed waitress offered only a weak "sorry." No apology from the restaurant, no further response. For us, this is a definite no-go – the price and quality are completely out of proportion.

We used the day as a break from the daily routine of rehab and enjoyed beautiful sunshine, a wonderful view, delicious food, excellent service, a few shots of schnapps, and a great time!

After a pleasant gondola ride, you arrive at the Wallberg summit at an altitude of almost 1700m. It's a worthwhile excursion to experience a fantastic panoramic view of Lake Tegernsee and the surrounding area. On a clear day, you can even see the Großglockner on the southeastern horizon. For sure-footed hikers with appropriate footwear, the trail to the summit cross is well worth the effort.

The views from this restaurant at the top of the mountain are exceptional. We found the service to be friendly, although I speak enough German to be able to order food and drink, and that can sometimes make all the difference. We only ordered drinks, so I can't speak for the food, although the dishes we saw being served to others looked really nice. Be aware that you can only pay cash, and not by credit card.

Great view of Lake Tegernsee, spectacular view, but... the service and the waitress's bad mood...! Very arrogant and unfriendly! They obviously don't need the business anymore. The many tourists diligently drive or climb up the mountain and spend their money! So they don't have to make any effort! The food, however, was very tasty! Especially the Kaiserschmarrn!

A spontaneous cable car ride up the Wallberg. After thoroughly enjoying the stunning panorama, we stopped at the terrace. The service was very quick and attentive. Our food was delicious, and the beer was perfectly chilled. We felt very, very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

A dreamlike setting. Simply gigantic. The food was mediocre. The service wasn't particularly friendly. But that might have been because it was truly a hectic place.

We visited the Panorama Restaurant on the Wallberg during our vacation here to take a break and have a drink. Since the weather was very nice, it was accordingly busy, but we were lucky and managed to snag one of the tables on the terrace. After a short while, we were able to order our drinks, which were then brought to our table fairly quickly. We wanted to order a second round of drinks, but since the gentleman who served us was nowhere to be seen, we asked one of the other employees if we could order anything else. No, he wasn't serving us; his colleague was in charge of that. We should have remembered what the gentleman looked like. We then told him that we knew, but he wasn't around, so we asked him. We could have saved ourselves the trouble; he wasn't serving us. Not exactly friendly. The prices were reasonable, as you would expect from a tourist spot. The Panorama Restaurant on the Wallberg is really nice, and the view is especially beautiful. However, they could improve on the friendliness a bit.

We ordered Kaiserschmarrn. It wasn't particularly good. At best, cafeteria quality. A shame, considering the price.

A restaurant with a terrace and a beautiful view of the Alps. The food is also local and delicious (not the cheapest), but that's hardly surprising. The service is quite fast, efficient, and friendly. Orders are accepted until 3 p.m. Clean restrooms.

I had a great service. The pumpkin soup (soup of the day) was excellent. The beer and pommes were perfect. Normal prices for the food in the Alps.

It's best to come early, before the crowds arrive. A good white sausage breakfast.

I can definitely recommend this restaurant. The view alone is fantastic. The food is delicious. Unfortunately, the service was a bit odd. The staff are friendly and competent. But the terrace seems to be divided into separate areas. And if the waitress in your area is fully occupied, her colleagues won't help her. But I'll still go back.

A must-do when visibility and weather are good! To the left you can see the Wilder Kaiser, to the right the Zugspitze, and to the north you can see Munich. The food at the alpine pasture, namely Kaiserschmarn (sweet pancakes) and yeast dumplings, was quite good, nothing to complain about. The service was quick and friendly.

Truly worth a visit. I went there with my family (4 people) and everyone was extremely satisfied. Great atmosphere, delicious regional food, super fast service... we'd be happy to go back anytime.

A restaurant with a panoramic view right at the exit from the upper cable car station. The prices are average for restaurants in such places. The portions are large, everything is delicious. The views are breathtaking. However, I really didn't like the speed of service: the waiters rarely came, it was almost impossible to catch them. Most of the time you had to wait until they took your order or calculated. It was sad

I wonder how these positive reviews come about. We were there with family. The service was unfriendly and overwhelmed. Two people for the entire restaurant. There's nothing left to eat after 3:30 p.m., even though the last gondola goes down at 4:30 p.m. Hikers who went up didn't even get a bottle of water at 4 p.m. Awful! The view is beautiful, but next time we'll bring a snack.

A very nice restaurant at the top of the Walberg. Very friendly staff. The food was excellent, the portions even too large for us. Hungry hikers will certainly be satisfied. The building is a bit dated from the outside, but the interior is very nicely decorated.

We've rarely eaten so well on a mountain. The friendly waiter added to the experience...in short, we spent a lovely day at Tegernsee.

After hiking up to the top, I was starving. I ordered a non alcoholic beer and Climber's dish. I like the way they named the menu. Since I climbed up the mountain, I decided to try this "Climber's dish". 2 big pieces of boiled pork belly with creamy potato mash. The boiled pork was absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed it. And the view was beautiful 💚💚💚 I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Wish to come back again.

Great restaurant, very German cuisine. There's a fantastic panoramic view. We were there during the week. The wait staff was busy, and an additional person would have shortened the wait a bit.

The spacious mountain restaurant, with its terrace and glass facade, serves Bavarian specialties with a panoramic view. When you're on the mountain, you absolutely have to visit this restaurant. You can try many dishes, but you must not skip the Kaiserschmarrn 😋😋😋; it would be a sin, so to speak 😆. Every time after a hike and a good sweat, I can't wait to treat my stomach there. I can only recommend it.

A good day-trip restaurant with a great view and competent staff. It's a shame they didn't serve ice cream. We were there in the summer when the weather was perfect, and an ice cream sundae would have been perfect.

A restaurant with friendly and attentive staff, delicious food, and an absolutely stunning view. The price-performance ratio was excellent. This trip was 100% worth it.

All good. But: Payment by credit card not possible! These days, paying by credit card should be your own choice. Refusing it is no longer appropriate. In a vacation region like this, where many foreign tourists come, it should be standard practice to accept credit cards. Credit card fees for merchants should not be a factor in this region and its prices.

It's wonderful: up at the summit, you can enjoy a meal or a drink in the wonderful, healthy mountain air. A wide range of dishes, coffee and cake, as well as cold drinks, are offered. There are outdoor seating areas and a restaurant.

The round trip ticket for the cable car is 28 Euros. The scenery on the mountain is beautiful and the breeze is cool. It is a very good experience.

Unfortunately, the cable car is extremely expensive. It costs €28 per person. For families with up to three children up to 16 years old, it's €70. Otherwise, it looks great, and the people are really friendly.

I ate the worst cheesecake of my life there yesterday! Imagine: A piece of lukewarm cake with soggy, wet crumb topping on top. And a tough crust. It was quite obvious that the cake had been defrosted very quickly in the microwave. And then they charge €4.70 for it. Absolutely outrageous!

A very nice hiking destination with a good restaurant offering a diverse range of dishes. Service was a bit slow, but always friendly and courteous. The restaurant—including the restrooms—was very clean and well-maintained. I left my sunglasses there, and they were sent to me promptly and easily. They even only charged me for the postage. I'm even more impressed in retrospect. Many thanks to the service team!

The view from the Wallberg is, of course, breathtaking! We'd love to go back to Wallberg, but we'll avoid the Berggasthof. The cheese dumplings were more like small, tasteless coins than dumplings, and the Kaiserschmarrn, at €16.90, was overpriced and poorly made. The value for money isn't right here at all!

Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. We waited for over 15 minutes without anyone paying attention to us, even though several waiters walked past us and we clearly signaled that we wanted to order. When a waiter finally came, we were greeted with extremely rude sneers, as if we'd overreacted, even though we'd already been waiting for a long time. The tone was disrespectful and inappropriate. The service here is simply not up to scratch. The food consists mostly of deep-fried frozen products – of poor quality. There are far better restaurants in the area. We definitely won't be going back.

When the weather's nice, the inn is busy. Nevertheless, the staff were pleasant and friendly. The view of Lake Tegernsee is magnificent. It's definitely worth the visit, whether on foot or by cable car.

All in all, the restaurant is a nice location. Nice view, very nice inside, but that's it. We ordered a Kaiserschmarrn (smothered pancakes). For €18.90. Even for a mountain hut, that's cheeky. But the cheekiest thing of all is the fact that my companion had to pay a whopping €1.00 extra for her extra fork. Charging an extra fee for an additional piece of cutlery has nothing to do with hospitality. It's just a rip-off. You have to be desperate to demand something like that. You should really just say you're going to forgo the Kaiserschmarrn and leave. Whether it's wise to forgo €18.90 in sales because this rip-off annoys guests is something the proprietor has to decide for himself. Unfortunately, too few guests do that...

Warm food only until 3 p.m., which is a farce; when you have climbed the Wallberg on foot and are looking forward to something to eat. In addition, prices are very high, staff are rather unfriendly, and card payments are not possible.
