Not good service and not good food. You don't have to go there.

Bread basket was good. Asked for tap water but served 4 Euro imported still water, spaghetti was very salty and clams are dead and shrivelled. Very disappointing for a restaurant that claims to be authentic Italian.

I highly recommend this Italian restaurant. The food selection is excellent, 😋 delicious. The service staff was super friendly and attentive. We'd be happy to come back.

Paninoteca is an Italian restaurant that captivates with its extraordinary atmosphere and professional service. During our visit, we tried seafood both as an appetizer and a main course. The highlight was the spaghetti frutti di mare, which was excellently prepared and incredibly tasty. The entire dining experience at Paninoteca was highly satisfying, thanks to the combination of high-quality dishes, a friendly atmosphere, and courteous service.

We spontaneously decided to go to the Paninoteca for dinner and were absolutely thrilled. The service was great, the staff were very polite, attentive and accommodating, the atmosphere was absolutely pleasant. And the food was absolutely amazing. We both had penne, rolled in parmesan cheese, with truffles and we really enjoyed it. We would love to come back. A reservation is recommended.

I like the softness of the surface of the pen tube, and the taste is very mild and smooth. The fried salmon is super delicious. Even though I don’t like salmon very much, I can’t help but praise it.

The food was good, unfortunately the service was not so nice. We saw all tables around us were getting complimentary bread, and the server just chose not to give it to us. The place is compact and afterwards you can smell smoke all over your dress. Pizza is really good.

Tischtuch-Italiener am Kornmarkt, gute und sehr zentrale Lage. Kellner im Anzug, viel Personal vor Ort. Restaurant Ende Dezember in der ersten Schicht am Abend (17:00 Uhr) kalt, insb. Fensterplätze. Stühle wirken kalt und ungemütlich, ein dünnes Kissen würde schon Abhilfe schaffen. Tische für meinen Geschmack zu eng, wenig Privatsphäre. Auf das Tischtuch wird eine Plastikabdeckung gelegt, effizient aber nicht schön. Uns wurde leider nur die preislich deutlich teurere Silvesterkarte gereicht. Nun gut, die Auswahl darauf war in Ordnung. Dorade mit Zitronensoße für €37 sehr gut und zwei große Filets. Soße lecker, das Gericht kam mit Kartoffelecken, Spinat und Gemüse. Beilagensalat für €5.50 gut. Wein und Wasser überteuert. Tiramisu leider mit (billiger) Schlagsahne statt Mascarpone und nur süß (kein Amaretto oder Kaffeegeschmack). Lavaküchlein demgegenüber gut. Bedienung freundlich und kompetent. Eingangsbereich eng und verwinkelt. Toiletten (noch) sauber aber renovierungsbedürftig. Die Hauptspeisen, und darauf kommt es an, waren handwerklich und geschmacklich sehr gut, aufgrund der genannten sonstigen Mängel leider 2 Punkte Abzug.

The environment and ambience is nice but the taste is standard

We chose Paninoteca because of its proximity to the markets and It wasn’t busy (we had no reservation). We enjoyed the food it was served hot and fresh. I just wish I had grabbed the salt off of a table next to us but it was occupied by two men having a lively conversation.

If you are Italian stay away from this place. Good service and friendly staff, but shocking prices (a second course €32) and a garlic, oil and chilli €13, the pizza was practically a frozen Buitoni (or perhaps a little more sub-brand)! An experience not to be repeated, I was about to cry

I can't find words for the great evening here at the Paninoteca. Everything was just more than perfect!!!! We'll be back - probably the best Pasta Vongole I've eaten here. And the tiramisu is heaven.

Food was delicious, and we loved all of them but service was terrible! Our food came 40 mins later than the next table, a group of 8 pp when they almost finish theirs. It's ridiculous especially we ordered almost at the same time. We asked twice about our food, the waiter just kept saying it’s coming. Not to mention we also waited almost 10 mins to finally grab someone who served the table near the door when we showed up on time with reservation.

Das Lokal ist nicht empfe. Als wir am Samstag Abend gegen 22 Uhr ankamen, war erst mal kein Tisch reserviert. Außerdem es die Luft unglaublich stickig und abgestanden. Man fühlte sich einfach sehr unwohl. Die Karte ist spartanisch, die Gerichte eher einfach. Meine Penne Salmone derartig heiß, dass man sich die Zunge verbrennt. Eventuell in der Mikrowelle erhitzt? Einzig der Chianti hatte Niveau. Allerdings sind 2 offene Rotweine auch etwas mager oder? Muss ich nicht noch mal hin

Der Service war unterirdisch. Teilweise musste man auf ein neues Getränk 20 Minuten warten. Nach der Vorspeise wurde kein neues Besteck gebracht d.h. man konnte nicht anfangen die Hauptspeise zu essen und musste das Besteck selbst holen, bevor das Essen kalt wurde. Das Essen war nicht mehr heiß, somit Preisleistung, nicht in Ordnung.

Spouse ordered salmon. The meal he was served was veal. Server explained that he chose for him veal but did NOT ask him if this is okay. This was totally UNACCEPTABLE. Server was also very brief with us and rushed to get us to order.

Absolutely great! The food was simply delicious, from the fresh pasta to the very tasty pizza – everything was on point. The service was very friendly and attentive, you immediately felt at home. The atmosphere is cozy and typically Italian. Definitely come back!

On September 6th, 2024 we walked to the restaurant spontaneously and without a reservation after our wedding with 21 people. It didn't take long and space was made for all of us. My go to restaurant in Frankfurt!! I've almost tried the menu and can really recommend everything. You can't go wrong, especially with fresh fish every day. My family and I are always impressed by the delicious food and the nice service, we look forward to seeing you next time :)

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend im Paninoteca! Die Bedienung war äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war hervorragend – sowohl die Vorspeisen als auch die Hauptgerichte waren von bester Qualität und sehr schmackhaft. Die Lage des Restaurants direkt an einer befahrenen Straße ist praktisch - es kann aber auch etwas laut werden. Der zugehörige Feinkostladen bietet zu den normalen Geschäftszeiten eine tolle Auswahl an Delikatessen.

We can say we ate well, the dishes have the names of classic Italian dishes even if they are then revisited (at least the pastas we chose), but we liked the result. Generous portions.

We ate here almost 2 weeks ago. Will definitely not come back nor recommend the restaurant. I had a Margherita pizza (with mozzarella) and my girlfriend had a pasta dish with mussels (feedback follows separately). We chose the restaurant because it was centrally located and according to the photos in the Google review, the pizzas looked great. The pizzas definitely don't look the same anymore - neither fresh nor airy. Pizza was extremely round and flat & orders were on our table after a few minutes! When we asked whether these were fresh, we were informed that they were not prepared in the restaurant and that they were delivered. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to maintain the price and keep up with the competition. No joke! A Margherita pizza that costs just under €13, which just looks like a cheap frozen pizza. It also tasted extremely salty, there was nothing on it other than mozzarella.

Rating for Paninoteca in Frankfurt I recently had the opportunity to eat Italian food at Paninoteca in Frankfurt and would like to share my positive experience. Eat: I ordered the spaghetti pesto, and although the meal took some time, it was totally worth the wait. The dish was not only excellent in terms of taste, but also visually appealing. The spaghetti was nicely placed in the center of the plate, the edge was clean, and there was no pesto smeared around the edge - a nice detail that I really appreciated. I was particularly surprised by the choice of two different thicknesses of spaghetti – one thicker and one thinner. I found this creative combination both imaginative and taste-exciting. The pasta was perfectly al dente and at the same time well cooked, making for an interesting and harmonious eating experience. The pesto itself was simply delicious - pleasant in taste, nice and creamy and only slightly oily, which in no way detracted from the dish. The portion was just right – not too much, not too little. After eating I felt full and satisfied without feeling heavy in my stomach. Service: Special praise goes to the friendly employee Stefano. His positive and almost happy charisma contributed a lot to the feel-good factor. A small but notable gesture was when he – without hesitation – offered me a glass of water as I took my headache tablets. Such attentive and helpful employees are a real rarity in cities like Frankfurt, where the tone is often harsh. The other guests in the restaurant also seemed relaxed and happy. Many continued to chat quietly after eating, which speaks for the pleasant atmosphere and high customer satisfaction. Conclusion: Of all the restaurants I visited in Frankfurt during my stay, I would choose Paninoteca first next time. An all-round successful experience - delicious food, attentive service and an atmosphere in which you feel comfortable. Absolute recommendation!

Very disappointing. The waiters were visibly stressed and overwhelmed, our table was dirty and we had to make very conspicuous hand signals to even be served. Unfortunately, the food was just as bad, the truffle pasta and pasta with seafood were unsalted. In addition, the truffle pasta was "slapped" onto the plate very carelessly; you probably only pay the €23 for the truffle. Very unfortunate.

The Pennette con Tacchino taste good! The turkey breast was very tender!! This restaurant also provides Gluten Free pasta option. The waiter who serve us was so so friendly, very friendly, considerate and dedicated service even without us requesting for extra plate, he saw we might need it and he serve to us. I have a lot of respect for the places I frequent, but unfortunately I have to give this place a negative review. Slow and incorrect service as the dishes are not thrown and the dishes are not served to the customers. Food, with all due respect as I said, the dishes were really tiny portions for the price, probably frozen pizzas, scallops and fillets served with 5 baked potatoes (5 is no joke). Good environment as there is a big screen for the European match! Definitely won't be back

Service and atmosphere was decent. We had Albanian fans in cars honking the entire time dur to the Euro2024 The food however was terrible. We are pretty sure that the pizza was frozen Dr. Oetker served on fine plate. The tortellini was likewise store bought from the nearest groceryshop.

The food was OK to good, but nothing special. However, we noticed the very poor service. We were only able to order after around 30 minutes, and the drinks (water and wine) were only served when the food was brought. Italian staff, welcoming place, it feels like home due to courtesy, professionalism and environment. As for the food, I can say that I ordered a Margherita pizza thinking I would receive an Italian pizza, not a German pizza which, of course, is fine, given the majority of customers. But Italian pizza is very different: bigger, with more tomato and less mozzarella (this one looks like double mozzarella, very tasty). I would advise the Chef to try making one, perhaps double pasta, according to Italian taste, Roman or Neapolitan. This, however, is just an opinion resulting from personal taste, obviously. I will be back to give them another chance.

Briefly summarized: We are happy to recommend the restaurant from A to Z to our friends and family. Everything, absolutely everything, was excellent. In addition to the very nice and attentive staff, the truffle pasta was a dream. Additionally, the homemade panna cotta was the best we had ever tasted. We'll all be back very quickly.

Wir sind in die Paninoteca gegangen, da im Internet, die Fischauswahl besonders hervorgehoben wurde. Der Anblick der Fischtheke hat uns allerdings dazu bewogen, Fleischgerichte zu wählen, Kalbsschnitzel und Rinderfilet waren ausgezeichnet, der Service in dem sehr vollen Restaurant war sehr freundlich und überwiegend aufmerksam. Erstaunlich für ein italienisches Restaurant war allerdings das völlige Fehlen von Gerichten mit Schweinefleisch! Italienische Traditionsgerichte wie Saltimbocca à la Romana werden mit Kalbfleisch zubereitet. Das Tiramisu schmeckte ungewöhnlich süß und fade, weil es ohne Alkohol zubereitet war, was in der Karte nicht erwähnt wird. Der Kellner bestätigte auf Nachfrage, dass aus Rücksicht auf die überwiegend muslimische Kundschaft auf Alkohol in den Süßspeisen verzichtet würde. Nicht schlimm, wenn man informiert wird als Gast. Sonst muss man sich die Frage stellen: Italiener oder Mogelpackung. Für Besucher der sonst weltoffenen Stadt Frankfurt war es jedenfalls erstaunlich. Zwei Versionen Tiramisu wären u.U. vielleicht auch möglich?!

My friend and I were excited to get some Italian; however, we left feeling mistreated and unsatisfied. The food here was mediocre if you have had a terrible life and worked in a prison. My 10 year old cat could make the food. We felt very disrespected by our waiter as he was giving tables around us great treatment, but when it came to us he seemed rushed and did not want to talk to us. It is a very loud restaurant with tables super close together. Do NOT come here expecting a hospitable Italian experience. It was a HOSTILE German one.
