On September 6th, 2024 we walked to the restaurant spontaneously and without a reservation after our wedding with 21 people. It didn't take long and space was made for all of us. The food was very tasty, everything was ready at the same time and, above all, hot. We had a lovely time and a lot of fun in the restaurant. The staff was attentive and very friendly. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend im Paninoteca! Die Bedienung war äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war hervorragend – sowohl die Vorspeisen als auch die Hauptgerichte waren von bester Qualität und sehr schmackhaft. Die Lage des Restaurants direkt an einer befahrenen Straße ist praktisch - es kann aber auch etwas laut werden. Der zugehörige Feinkostladen bietet zu den normalen Geschäftszeiten eine tolle Auswahl an Delikatessen.

We can say we ate well, the dishes have the names of classic Italian dishes even if they are then revisited (at least the pastas we chose), but we liked the result. Generous portions.

We ate here almost 2 weeks ago. Will definitely not come back nor recommend the restaurant. I had a Margherita pizza (with mozzarella) and my girlfriend had a pasta dish with mussels (feedback follows separately). We chose the restaurant because it was centrally located and according to the photos in the Google review, the pizzas looked great. The pizzas definitely don't look the same anymore - neither fresh nor airy. Pizza was extremely round and flat & orders were on our table after a few minutes! When we asked whether these were fresh, we were informed that they were not prepared in the restaurant and that they were delivered. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to maintain the price and keep up with the competition. No joke! A Margherita pizza that costs just under €13, which just looks like a cheap frozen pizza. It also tasted extremely salty, there was nothing on it other than mozzarella.

Rating for Paninoteca in Frankfurt I recently had the opportunity to eat Italian food at Paninoteca in Frankfurt and would like to share my positive experience. Eat: I ordered the spaghetti pesto, and although the meal took some time, it was totally worth the wait. The dish was not only excellent in terms of taste, but also visually appealing. The spaghetti was nicely placed in the center of the plate, the edge was clean, and there was no pesto smeared around the edge - a nice detail that I really appreciated. I was particularly surprised by the choice of two different thicknesses of spaghetti – one thicker and one thinner. I found this creative combination both imaginative and taste-exciting. The pasta was perfectly al dente and at the same time well cooked, making for an interesting and harmonious eating experience. The pesto itself was simply delicious - pleasant in taste, nice and creamy and only slightly oily, which in no way detracted from the dish. The portion was just right – not too much, not too little. After eating I felt full and satisfied without feeling heavy in my stomach. Service: Special praise goes to the friendly employee Stefano. His positive and almost happy charisma contributed a lot to the feel-good factor. A small but notable gesture was when he – without hesitation – offered me a glass of water as I took my headache tablets. Such attentive and helpful employees are a real rarity in cities like Frankfurt, where the tone is often harsh. The other guests in the restaurant also seemed relaxed and happy. Many continued to chat quietly after eating, which speaks for the pleasant atmosphere and high customer satisfaction. Conclusion: Of all the restaurants I visited in Frankfurt during my stay, I would choose Paninoteca first next time. An all-round successful experience - delicious food, attentive service and an atmosphere in which you feel comfortable. Absolute recommendation!

Very disappointing. The waiters were visibly stressed and overwhelmed, our table was dirty and we had to make very conspicuous hand signals to even be served. Unfortunately, the food was just as bad, the truffle pasta and pasta with seafood were unsalted. In addition, the truffle pasta was "slapped" onto the plate very carelessly; you probably only pay the €23 for the truffle. Very unfortunate.

The Pennette con Tacchino taste good! The turkey breast was very tender!! This restaurant also provides Gluten Free pasta option. The waiter who serve us was so so friendly, very friendly, considerate and dedicated service even without us requesting for extra plate, he saw we might need it and he serve to us. I have a lot of respect for the places I frequent, but unfortunately I have to give this place a negative review. Slow and incorrect service as the dishes are not thrown and the dishes are not served to the customers. Food, with all due respect as I said, the dishes were really tiny portions for the price, probably frozen pizzas, scallops and fillets served with 5 baked potatoes (5 is no joke). Good environment as there is a big screen for the European match! Definitely won't be back

Service and atmosphere was decent. We had Albanian fans in cars honking the entire time dur to the Euro2024 The food however was terrible. We are pretty sure that the pizza was frozen Dr. Oetker served on fine plate. The tortellini was likewise store bought from the nearest groceryshop.

The food was OK to good, but nothing special. However, we noticed the very poor service. We were only able to order after around 30 minutes, and the drinks (water and wine) were only served when the food was brought. Afterwards, no contact was made as to whether we were satisfied or whether we had any further wishes.

Tiramisu is super delicious! A must! This is a taste you can’t taste in Taiwan Unlike Taiwanese tiramisu, which generally has no smell. Italian staff, welcoming place, it feels like home due to courtesy, professionalism and environment. As for the food, I can say that I ordered a Margherita pizza thinking I would receive an Italian pizza, not a German pizza which, of course, is fine, given the majority of customers. But Italian pizza is very different: bigger, with more tomato and less mozzarella (this one looks like double mozzarella, very tasty). I would advise the Chef to try making one, perhaps double pasta, according to Italian taste, Roman or Neapolitan. This, however, is just an opinion resulting from personal taste, obviously. I will be back to give them another chance.

Briefly summarized: We are happy to recommend the restaurant from A to Z to our friends and family. Everything, absolutely everything, was excellent. In addition to the very nice and attentive staff, the truffle pasta was a dream. Additionally, the homemade panna cotta was the best we had ever tasted. We'll all be back very quickly.

Wir sind in die Paninoteca gegangen, da im Internet, die Fischauswahl besonders hervorgehoben wurde. Der Anblick der Fischtheke hat uns allerdings dazu bewogen, Fleischgerichte zu wählen, Kalbsschnitzel und Rinderfilet waren ausgezeichnet, der Service in dem sehr vollen Restaurant war sehr freundlich und überwiegend aufmerksam. Erstaunlich für ein italienisches Restaurant war allerdings das völlige Fehlen von Gerichten mit Schweinefleisch! Italienische Traditionsgerichte wie Saltimbocca à la Romana werden mit Kalbfleisch zubereitet. Das Tiramisu schmeckte ungewöhnlich süß und fade, weil es ohne Alkohol zubereitet war, was in der Karte nicht erwähnt wird. Der Kellner bestätigte auf Nachfrage, dass aus Rücksicht auf die überwiegend muslimische Kundschaft auf Alkohol in den Süßspeisen verzichtet würde. Nicht schlimm, wenn man informiert wird als Gast. Sonst muss man sich die Frage stellen: Italiener oder Mogelpackung. Für Besucher der sonst weltoffenen Stadt Frankfurt war es jedenfalls erstaunlich. Zwei Versionen Tiramisu wären u.U. vielleicht auch möglich?!

My friend and I were excited to get some Italian; however, we left feeling mistreated and unsatisfied. The food here was mediocre if you have had a terrible life and worked in a prison. My 10 year old cat could make the food. We felt very disrespected by our waiter as he was giving tables around us great treatment, but when it came to us he seemed rushed and did not want to talk to us. It is a very loud restaurant with tables super close together. Do NOT come here expecting a hospitable Italian experience. It was a HOSTILE German one.

Flavors are good. Truffle mushroom pasta was very nice, but it was served a little lukewarm. Nice anyway. In general, it is a narrow restaurant, or rather, it is narrow due to too many tables. The waiters are kind, friendly and fast, which is rare in an Italian restaurant.

We ordered 2 pastas, 1 spaghetti Frutti Di Mare and 1 penne with red sauce and turkey, both were delicious and the portions were big. The tomato soup was also good. The waiter was extremely nice and he cared to ask us many times if we liked the food or if we need anything. He also spoke very good English. The prices were good too. Overall, it was a good experience and I recommend it.

Preis-Leistung daneben, Speisen nicht mehr das, was sie mal waren, dazu passt das nicht italienisch sprechende Personal, überhaupt würde es Italiener nicht mehr dort hinziehen. Ach so, Käfighaltung der Gäste, man freut sich, trotz Reservierung anderen nicht auf dem Schoß zu sitzen.

A really very accommodating restaurant. Nice service, nice ambience and delicious food that is prepared quickly. We celebrated our friend's 18th birthday here and were able to take our own cake with us. We gave it away the day before and they then served it with a sparkler and sang to it🥰 It was really very nice!

The extra star was only given for the ambience. I ordered the truffle pasta. In short: the truffles were spoiled, recognizable by a very bitter taste reminiscent of ammonia. The nice waiter was informed and instead of apologizing, he just wanted to justify himself and let the customer know that this is how truffles normally taste. Since I particularly like and often eat truffle pasta, I of course know what really good truffles taste like. As a solution I was allowed to do something else Choosing food, I chose the Penne Arrabiata to take away as this is a very light dish. (Unfortunately this didn't taste as good as it cost and was given in a plastic bag as is usual in a fast food restaurant) My companion was also not very happy with the food. The price-performance ratio definitely doesn't match. At the end I was allowed to pay for the penne arrabiata and my drink, nothing was waived.

We went here twice for lunch. The four pasta dishes we ordered were all of good quality, two of them very good. The price performance ratio is very good. You sit at rather small tables, the distance is not particularly large. The window seats are nice. Service was okay one day; We had to wait a relatively long time for the menu and the bill. The food came very quickly on both days. On the second day the service was impeccable. A real recommendation.

We found this place when we were hungry and just looking for a place to get food while walking around Frankfurt. I chose to get the "Pennette de Gamberretto" or something along those lines, but basically penne pasta with creamy tomato sauce and shrimp. Kind of a large portion but I was just about able to stuff it all in. I'm not sure what the local standards for Italian food are around here but as an American who is used to Ragu and Prego sauce, this tasted amazing. I am lactose intolerant so I was a little hesitant about the "creamy" part, but I think it was just how they described it, which was fairly accurate. Maybe they used cheese as a base? Either way I had no reaction. The sauce itself wasn't thin or watery. Had a gentle but not overwhelming tomato taste. The shrimp probably aren't fresh, but the sauce is good enough to mask that fact. If I wasn't so full, I would've loved some bread to scoop up the rest of the sauce. The pasta was cooked just right. I should also mention I didn't go into the restaurant itself but a little side opening where you could still sit, but without all the fancy waiters and all the frills. You ask for the dish, and you get the dish, and nothing more. You could see them cook the food in the kitchen while you wait. Didn't have to wait too long either. As far as I could tell, the guy at the counter speaks fairly fluent English, not sure if he's there all the time. Also, the chairs are fun to spin around on. Overall, good food with a cozy atmosphere!

Das Essen war super lecker und der Service anfangs auch sehr gut. Leider wurden zum Schluss kaum noch Getränke gebracht und wenn nur sehr widerwillig. Für die doch teils hohen Preise ist die Einrichtung (Stühle und Tische) eher wie aus einer billigen Kantine.

Wie schön, dass auch mal ein Restaurant Mo geöffnet hat. Das Essen ist gut, wie man es von einer Pizzeria gewohnt ist. Der Service war sehr freundlich, dass Ambiente schön. Leider war in Brotkorb noch Papier vom vorherigen Gast, was nicht hätte passieren dürfen, deswegen auch 1 Stern Abzug.

Zugegeben, es war an diesem Abend brutal voll und dazu kann ich nur gratulieren. Durch die Menge an Menschen die kamen, gingen und oft in der Tür stehen blieben, kam es an diesem Winterabend oft zu unangenehmen Durchzug. Das Essen für uns als Gruppe war durchweg sehr gut. Leider haben wir nicht alle zusammen essen können, da ein Gericht unserem Kellner von einem anderen Kellner weggenommen wurde. Das kleine Chaos ist der Masse an Kunden zuzuschreiben. Man kann nicht alles haben! Ich hoffe nur, dass die Preise durch die Mehrwertsteuer an 2024 nicht durch die Decke gehen. Denn beispielsweise eine Calzone für Euro 15.- wird schwer zu verkaufen sein. Vielleicht sollte unsere Regierung nicht so viel Geld in Ausland verschenken, dann können auch die tollen Restaurants überleben.
