A very large and great selection of wines. Nice atmosphere and very friendly service. When it comes to food, in my opinion, the value for money is unfortunately not right. We had fried seafood.

Cozy bistro with a good selection of wines and aperitifs. Suitable as an aperitivo bar to get the evening in the mood. Food was okay, but the portion sizes serve to whet the appetite rather than satiate. For the price you would expect larger portions!

The Pane e Vino is very comfortably furnished, the service is attentive and friendly, although unable to provide accompanying information about the wine or food. The wine list is well stocked and reasonable, but the food cannot meet the high standards. We had bruscetta as a starter and the spaghetti with truffles as a main course. Both were okay but nothing more and simply too unimaginative and rather plain in terms of craftsmanship for the price.

My friend and I had dinner at Pane e Vino last Friday. The appetizer platter was not worth mentioning and for a whopping 22.50. For the main course we had lasagne and baked eggplant. Tasted good, but very small portion for the price. The young waiter was very nice. However, older guests should not be addressed as “DU”, as that is somehow not appropriate. All in all, we paid almost €90 and we don't even know what it was for. I'm never stingy, but that was really just mediocre. A pity!

Service was excellent, atmosphere very nice. We had drinks and one dish: Fritto Misto. That was supposed to be fried calamari, shrimp, fish, and sardines, potatoes and grilled vegetables The calamari and octopus were very tough. There were no sardines and one mussel. BUT half the plate was grilled potatoes, broccoli, zucchini and cauliflower. Maybe other dishes are good there but we would not recommend that one.

Tolles italienisches Restaurant mit guten Essen, leckeren Weinen und perfektem Service! Donato Stolfi und sein Team haben uns verwöhnt mit leckeren Vorspeisenplatten, frischen Nudelgerichten und besonderen Fleisch und Fischgerichten. Wir hatten ein Fest mit 45 Freunden im Restaurant gefeiert und es war einfach großartig! Das ganze Team hat sich superfreundlich und aufmerksam um uns gekümmert. Ja, wir können von einer freundschaftlichen Atmosphäre sprechen. Es hat uns großen Spaß gemacht! Alle waren begeistert! Herzlichen Dank! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Pane e Vino am Rand der Mainzer Altstadt ist einen Besuch wert. Ein breites Angebot italienischer Weine zu mittlerweile mainztypischen Preisen ab etwa 6,50 Euro für 0,2. Das Essensangebot ist gut. Die Kalbsleber mit Salbeibutter, Gemüse und Bratkartoffeln war geschmacklich und handwerklich sehr gelungen, die Portion auskömmlich, zu einem angemessenen Preis von 20,50 Euro. Die gemischte Bruschetta war abwechslungsreich mit Aubergine, Olivenpaste, getrockneten Tomaten und Schinken, gefehlt hat mir allerdings die typische Frische der Tomate. Die Pasta mit Lachs wurde von meiner Begleitung ebenfalls gelobt. Nach meiner Erinnerung ca. 18 Euro. Das Preisniveau ist insgesamt gehoben, aber mit Blick auf die gebotene Qualität nicht überzogen. Nicht überzeugt hat die Einrichtung. Die überwiegend vorhandenen Hochtische, insbesondere die Stühle dazu, sind auf Dauer unbequem und laden uns nicht dazu ein, einen längeren Abend im PeV zu verbringen.

Immer einen Besuch wert, super Essen, sehr freundliche Bedienung und schönes Ambiente 👌👌👌

Die Atmosphäre dort ist sehr schön und die Preise sind erschwinglich, leider mussten wir bei der Bestellung immer lange auf den Kellner warten, der uns bediente.

Octopus war prima, als Beilage Grillgemüse war dann leider Tiefkühlkost, Bedienung eher frostig bis arrogant, schade. Zum Abschluss dann die Rechnung mit einer nicht getrunkenen Flasche Wein drauf, ok Fehler können vorkommen und wurde natürlich korrigiert, aber man kann ja mal vorher einen Blick drauf werfen... Dann das Wechselgeld ungefragt als Trinkgeld eingesteckt, mal eben 20% der Rechnung, als ich es zurück forderte wurde ich dann schon nicht mehr verabschiedet... werde ich wohl zukünftig meiden.

Spaghetti Salsiccia! Ein absoluter Geschmacksgenuss! Super Atmosphäre, tolles Ambiente und super Beratung in Sachen Wein. Des Weiteren möchte ich unsere spontane Reservierung( Reservierung auf Korn ) heute Abend erwähnen, es wurde nicht gleich verneint, sondern es wurde Platz geschaffen. Tolles Restaurant! Great italian wine place in Mainz. They have good value italian wines from various states in Italy. We had salad and coldcut&cheese plate, which was very similar to what I've had in Italy few months ago. Highly recommended when you're in town
