Pamukkale Köz Schanze in Hamburg

While I was looking for where to eat soup in Hamburg, I came across it, so I immediately jumped on the subway next to my hotel and arrived in a very short time. I was expecting a more modest place, but almost all the tables were full, and I was just thinking 'I think it is impossible to come here without a reservation', when the staff immediately arranged a table for me. Of course, I drank my soup, but when I saw the offerings and the environment, I got an appetite. I wanted a nice Mevlana pita and I liked it incredibly, sesame pita. I tried it for the first time and found it very successful. It was delicious. The atmosphere, service and speed were very good, the food arrived in a very short time, and surprisingly, despite the crowd, I did not see the waiters tripping at all. They were very polite. I would like to go again to Ostern.

Delicious Turkish restaurant. Great menu, very attentive service. The prices are reasonable and fair. I'm a good eater, but really full, delicious. When we are in Hamburg, the restaurant is always on the list-:)

As soon as you walk past the display at the entrance, you get hungry. The food comes fresh from the grill and tastes wonderful! Thank you very much, we'll be back

Unfortunately, I don't understand anything

I'm not from Hamburg, but when I'm there I have to eat here at least once. You can taste the quality and the service is world class.

At first, we apologized for only coming with seven people instead of nine. The waitress then wanted to squeeze us into a four-person table and add a chair. I said it was too tight. She said it would be easier for her. As a guest, I couldn't understand that argument. We finally got our way and got a better seat, where a man served us. It was great there. The food was very good. However, we had to explain new orders or requests to the staff several times.

An institution. Anyone who is on the ski jump from time to time will also end up in Pamukkale.

Food was amazing, especially the lamb rib chops and the jambalaya. Humus was also great.

We ate here today and it was really great, the trip from Braunschweig to Hamburg was worth it. Very nice and polite service.

The Turkish brunch is great. Reservation absolutely necessary.

Today my wife and I decided that we will never go there again, we cannot go in without a reservation, we go almost every day but we are met with a strange attitude as if we are not wanted, then they gave us a table, after eating we wanted dessert and a lady said that they could not make dessert because it would take too long, we felt like they practically kicked us out, if you are going to do this then don't let us in and let's eat somewhere else, there was no need for this bad treatment.

What a fantastic buffet! Everything was super fresh, the quality was high, and the taste was amazing too. I would have liked to see signs indicating what was what and whether it was vegetarian, vegan, etc., but it worked as it was, and the staff were very helpful. Overall, almost everything was vegetarian, and we had a fantastic selection. Plus, coffee, tea, and juice were included. We were completely full and completely satisfied. Very attentive service and worth every cent.

Very friendly staff and absolutely delicious food. The portions are large and more than sufficient. A free starter was served and after the meal there was Turkish tea. Highly recommended.

We went for Sunday breakfast, I recommend you try the potato pancakes and desserts. Simit-Çeçil cheese combination is also delicious!

Great brunch on the weekend, a huge selection of hot and cold, sweet and savory dishes. There wouldn't be enough lines to list everything. Includes tea, coffee and juice. Very nice service. We liked it very much.

Good Turkish cuisine in a cultivated atmosphere.

Unfortunately I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I had dinner there this evening with my wife and brother. The waiter, who had a tattoo on the back of his neck, took our order but made several mistakes. On the one hand, he wrote down the order incorrectly, and on the other hand, an order was not served at all. When we pointed this out to him, he reacted cheekily and simply said: “Yes, I forgot.” We ended up paying €46.10 without receiving a bill, even though one of us didn't get his food. The waiter's behavior was completely unprofessional and we had the impression that he may have been under the influence of drugs. I cannot recommend this restaurant under any circumstances and will definitely not visit it again. Very disappointing!

I recently visited this restaurant with two friends. Unfortunately we had a very unpleasant experience. One dish was forgotten by our waiter and we had to wait 45 minutes to order. When we asked, it turned out he had forgotten to take our order. Additionally, the waiter was not in a proper condition, which made the entire visit very unpleasant. We had to pay in cash and didn't receive an invoice. I hope the restaurant is better prepared for such situations in the future.

The waiter just tried to deduct us. Instead of paying €34, I had to simply pay €45. Then I had to add up my meal to him on the menu and quickly become a math teacher. Had a great evening...

The starters were super tasty. The mixed platter also had everything your heart could desire! At the end there was tea on the house.

A really good Turkish restaurant. Both the mixed starters and the grill plate are very tasty. The meat is really tender and has a great charcoal grilled aroma. The portions are generous. Everyone gets fed. Friendly, professional and committed service. Atmosphere very successful between tradition and modernity in the middle of the Schanzenviertel. Given the quality, the price is not entirely cheap. I'd love to come back.

Since when are customers not allowed to decide for themselves how much they order?!? The fact that you are simply sent away as a guest who is “less” hungry is absolutely disturbing. If you have a minimum consumption, it should be written on the menu and on the door!

I can definitely not recommend the store!!! We were there on a Monday evening with 5 girls because we thought we would have a relaxing tea and maybe eat something sweet afterwards. When we ordered the tea, we left a card behind so we could take another look. When the tea came, a second waiter came behind and made it clear to us that not only were we allowed to drink TEA, but we also had to eat something. In a condescending and pressing manner he said at the end "this time I'll allow you, but it's forbidden and next time you visit please order something to eat" we didn't take a sip, paid the bill and left because we felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Worst service we have ever experienced!!! It was a Monday evening around 11 p.m. and there were only two tables occupied in the entire store apart from us. The store definitely lost at least 5 customers and probably more. By the way, it was one of us's birthday, which was of course a shame! The store urgently needs new service staff and hospitality.

Our visit was late Monday evening and the restaurant was empty. After we had only ordered tea from one waiter, another waiter rudely asked us to bring tea to us, saying that it is not normally allowed to order only tea. The way he communicated indicated that we should leave the restaurant, which we did without comment. No recommendation.

Service was absolutely disgraceful. We decided to have a drink in a group of girls on a Monday evening when the place wasn't full anyway. After we placed our order, everything was fine. The waiter accepted it and didn't have anything against it. After we got our orders and started drinking the drinks, another waiter came over in a rude manner and basically told us that we weren't welcome because we didn't meet the minimum consumption requirement.

Always great, delicious food, great hosts, nice and lively atmosphere. Be sure to reserve, especially on weekends. Mezze are absolutely amazing, the hummus, falafel... just great.

they are not serving water with raki just to charge you additional €3 sth. (raki is being served with water in all over the world). food is okay but i strongly recommend not to go that scam place.

For 22.90 euros it's not worth it. It's also too crowded. The selection is small, sometimes you have to wait to see if there was a reservation.

The breakfast buffet at Pamukkale Köz in the Schanze is absolutely recommended! The selection is large - fresh bread, various types of cheese, olives, egg dishes, cold cuts and sweet treats. The warm Turkish specialties such as menemen and börek are a particular highlight. The price-performance ratio is great and you can take your time in a relaxed atmosphere. A small point deduction because it can be a bit fuller and hectic at peak times, but that also speaks for the popularity of the buffet. I'd love to come back!

The food and service were very good. Despite a spontaneous visit, we were offered the best possible offer. We were thrilled with everything.

The kebab shop on the corner is more recommended! The service leaves a lot to be desired. Extremely unfriendly when ordering. The waiter had probably already had enough and only came to pay once. We asked for a child's chair and were told all 6 chairs were occupied. As soon as one is free, it will be brought, unfortunately that wasn't the case... I went looking for a chair myself and found two chairs straight away... I complained about that... which the staff didn't really care about. When the food came, the waiter held the food awkwardly and spilled it on two of us. A wet wipe came and it was good..plus the dish Iskender is not recommended..it was simply drowned in butter and yoghurt..the bread was completely overdone and simply couldn't be enjoyed. It's a shame because it was my mother-in-law's birthday dinner.

Super good food. The waiter who served us probably doesn't like talking to women and put me under a bit of pressure about the tip. I think he was the exception among the cellars. Still unpleasant and a shame because otherwise it was really good.

Hello, hello, we came here from Kiel with 19 people for dinner. Reservation without any problems via their reservation system, very professional. The service is very nice and relaxed in their work. The food was all very well prepared and tasted very good, fresh and well seasoned. We were very satisfied, price performance was completely normal for the quality and appropriate these days. The restaurant is highly recommended, keep it up.

Way too crowded and everything was squashed. Selection is very small and not comparable to their social media. Food wasn't good and had no spices and had to wait 30 minutes for a table. The choice of food was very limited. We even had to leave because others had made reservations after us.. just cheeky! 45 euros for nothing.

We were here for breakfast during the week with 6 people (2 families with babies). There was plenty of space and both children had high chairs. The staff was extremely child-friendly and helpful. There is a very extensive buffet with a large selection of delicious dips, raw and grilled vegetables, cheese, sweets, cakes, hot dishes such as baked potatoes, scrambled eggs, menemen and sucuk. Turkish tea and coffee are included. Other drinks such as freshly squeezed orange juice or Turkish mocha cost extra. Vegetarians will find plenty of choice at the buffet here (almost everything vegetarian). Overall, absolutely recommended for a leisurely breakfast, everything is homemade and tastes great. Toilets sufficient and clean. Gender-segregated prayer rooms are available. We were here for almost 3 hours drinking tea and coffee, eating, having a good chat and feeling very welcome.

I come to Hamburg every year, it is a nice restaurant that I prefer for food, its food and kebabs are delicious, it is hygienic, and the employees are devoted and respectful.

I got a dürüm at 2am. I'm not complaining about the price of €8.50. You have to expect that now. I didn't expect much from the kebab either. I just wanted something to fill me up. I put down €10 and got nothing back. Afterwards I observed other customers and they do this to everyone before you can even say “tip”. You don't rip people off or take advantage of the fact that they won't say anything about this impudence. That's not right!

Great ambience & good authentic dishes. The store is particularly good to visit with a larger group. Otherwise a bit expensive and not as large portions (as you would expect from a Turkish restaurant). The tzatziki could also be much better...

We went to this restaurant twice. Our first experience was not so good, I ordered Iskender. But the meat was burnt. I ate it myself because I normally like it well cooked. The pita at the bottom was stale. It was very unprofessional for Iskender to be served that way. I also warned other customers not to present it this way. Pita with cubed cheese was very nice and delicious. We loved the sesame pita sides. On our second visit, we tried Adana kebab, lahmacun, and pita. We liked them all. Their salads and appetizers are really delicious. The restaurant is always very crowded, I recommend you make a reservation. Otherwise, you have to wait in the queue in front of the door. The waiters were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is hygienic and clean.

Unfortunately, things are no longer like they used to be. The cellar filled the table with food, even though we hadn't even finished the starter. There was no hello or goodbye from anyone. So I have no idea. The food was also overpriced and didn't blow me away either. Are there better restaurants? The waiter was also disinterested and had an expression on his face that didn't seem inviting. Very unfortunate.

There were eight of us at 11:30 in the evening. Because we “only” ordered a kebab, we had to eat on the street and didn’t get a table, although we would have ordered more. Not very hospitable. The kebab was really tasty. But that doesn't help, what a shame!!!!!!

I really don't understand what, I wanted to pay with an EC card. The waiter brings the bill and asks me to pay at least 10%. Tip. (Otherwise 20 or 30 percent of the invoice) Since when is it compulsory to tip in Germany? I have no idea 🤷‍♂️ I'm always happy to tip but not if I'm forced to.

We had a reservation for 6pm for 12 people, but when we arrived we were told the reservation was not available. Even though I had confirmation, we were told that this was a mistake by the employee. This meant we had to wait outside in the cold for half an hour, which I found very uncomfortable. However, the food was very tasty and the service was extremely nice and friendly. At the end there was some cake and tea, which in my opinion was necessary to improve the overall impression. Overall a mixed experience. That's why I give it 4 stars 🌟

On a Thursday evening, where there were two tables available and no line behind us, when we wanted to order we were sent out at 8:30 p.m. because we only wanted coffee/tea and dessert. So far we have always been satisfied and had good experiences, but behavior like this is simply unacceptable. I could understand it on a Saturday evening, but on a Thursday in such a relaxed situation? We then went to Lokman, where we were warmly welcomed. It's a shame that you are treated like this as a guest here.

I can only recommend this Turkish restaurant. We were served quickly and friendly. In the entrance area k When you see the fresh meat skewers, which later end up on your plate from the grill, all appetizingly prepared. We had a delicious meal of lamb and would love to come back to try out a few other dishes.

The waiters are incredibly respectful, attentive and extremely friendly. You can tell that they do their job with passion. The food was an absolute delight! Everything was freshly prepared, incredibly tasty and the portions were really generous. We were particularly impressed by how quickly everything was served - after what felt like just ten minutes the food was already on our table. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for authentic Turkish cuisine in Hamburg. One thing is certain for us: This was definitely not our last visit! Ellerinze sağlık.

I've been a regular customer there for a long time but I've never experienced anything like yesterday. The three of us had brunch and later a friend came over. One of us left earlier. We then paid and then they said it's another one Brunch open from 25 euros. We said we paid for ours and we don't believe that our colleague just left without paying. Then they said we have to pay for it. We didn't see that because he is responsible for it being paid. Especially since he did before The cash register had already gone crazy beforehand. Then a discussion arose and more and more employees came along who threatened us with a report. We then said what we would get a report for We paid for everything. We only later reached out to our colleague who confirmed to us that she had paid and he even confirmed it. So either he was forgetful or it was an attempt to rip us off? Dear Pamukkale, I was a regular guest and that was terrible .Here's how to go not with guests. Afterwards we noticed that no one had received a receipt. Was that intentional? You know that there is a requirement for a receipt, right?

You call there to reserve a table at 11 a.m. When you get there you are told you have to wait outside but rather you should leave because nothing is available. Reserved 2 days in advance.

We were here for breakfast, the breakfast buffet is delicious, authentic and the selection is good. Unlimited coffee and tea are included in the breakfast buffet. I was completely satisfied.

Unfortunately the place is overrun and there are too many tables so it's not much fun to sit. Also the food is not at the level of a really good Turkish restaurant for the high prices

Pommdöner with chicken to go is very tasty and people should try it out

We went on a weekend. It was pretty busy and we thought it would be a good sign that the food and service were good. Unfortunately it was not like that. Very impersonal service, zero attention, zero interest in making a welcoming atmosphere. The prices do not match the quality of the food. We sat next to the bar and it was very annoying and noisy because those who washed the glasses and prepared the drinks made too much noise with the dishes without taking the diners into consideration. I don't recommend it.

Instead, we were told that dessert was only possible in combination with other dishes - and apparently there was no more dessert unless we ordered something else first. After an unpleasant discussion with two different waiters, we were finally allowed to only order dessert, but with a time limit of 30 minutes. When we were finished and the shop became empty, we were suddenly asked if we would like to stay. These contradictory statements and the unfriendly treatment really spoiled the visit. It was a disappointing experience for us and something we had never experienced before.

The taste of the food was disappointing. Very expensive in terms of price. However, the ambience and staff were fine.

The food here was of great quality. Everyone was very friendly. It was very full on December 31st and we still got a seat. Pamukkale is known beyond the city limits. As he said, the people sitting next to us came all the way from Wallachia to have something to eat here. The price performance was also good.

Not recommended!!! I was extremely disappointed with my visit to Pamukkale Restaurant. The waiter was rude and snooty which ruined the whole atmosphere. It took forever for him to even come to bring the bill and then it was wrong! The food itself was anything but tasty and significantly overpriced. Each dish cost about €5 more than I expected. When I didn't leave a tip, the waiter didn't even bother to pack the leftover food himself - completely unprofessional behavior. The toilets are narrow and not clean. I will definitely never come here again and can only advise anyone not to visit this restaurant. A disappointing experience from start to finish
