LIMON in Hamburg

Der beste Döner weit und breit, wenn ihr mich fragt! Ezme und Tzatziki sind besonders lecker, und selbst das Fladenbrot für den Döner ist frisch und köstlich. Die Bedienung ist immer freundlich, und generell wirkt das Essen einfach etwas frischer als in den meisten anderen Hamburger Dönerbuden. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Die Einrichtung ist etwas einfach und dunkel, und manchmal nicht ganz so sauber, wie man es sich wünschen würde. Aber das ist bei so einem Lokal ja zu erwarten.

Sehr leckerer Dürüm Döner. Kann man sich öfter gönnen, guter Laden.

Direkt an der Straße in einem hübschen Viertel gelegen, ist es der perfekte Ort für einen Spaziergang nach dem Essen. Ich hatte einen Döner-Wrap und war sehr zufrieden; er passte hervorragend zur Apfelschorle. Neben Rindfleischdöner gibt es auch Hähnchendöner.

Hat vor kurzem den Namen geändert Steak Fleisch angeboten und jetzt wieder Limon ohne Steak Fleisch. Hat aber schon davor immer Mist erzählt. Hängen 2 Hackspieße und er sagt ist nur noch Steak da um direkt einen Aufpreis zu nehmen. Der Chef will einfach nur die Leute abzocken. War dort früher immer gerne. Mittlerweile mach ich einen großen Bogen drum. Geht euch den Döner lieber woanders holen.

Eigentlich mein Lieblingsdöner und Köfte, allerdings stört mich, dass Sie keine Ezme mehr in ihrem Repertoire haben. Sonst ist aber alles gut und auch die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett

Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass es in der Nähe keine Parkplätze gibt, ansonsten ist alles super.

Letztes Jahr durch Zufall entdeckt und fanden den Döner und dürum super lecker. Als wir den heute endlich wieder essen wollten, haben wir gemerkt, wie doll das rund um packet nachgelassen hat. Durüm total kalt mit einer Salat Cocktail Soße und zatziki konnte ich leider nicht raus schmecken. Den dürum musste ich dann zuhause nochmal warm machen. Das war mit Abstand der teuerste „billigste“ und schlechteste dürum den ich je gegessen habe. Mein Freund hatte einen Döner, der kaum Geschmack hatte und eher mit einem 5€ Döner vergleichbar ist. Schade, wir werden nicht nochmal kommen

Anscheinend neuer Name(steht nicht mehr Limon dran),Preise fast 20% angehoben und als darauf angesprochen so getan,als seien die Preise schon immer so gewesen...früher okay,heute nicht mehr zumutbar. Für 10,90€ bekomm ich nen Döner aus echtem Steakfleisch in der Europapassage,fühle mich für dumm verkauft.

Musste leider von 5 auf 4 Sterne korrigieren. Jahrelang mein Döner-Restaurant Nummer 1…vor kurzem wurde Cocktailsauce geschmacklich geändert…kann man nicht mehr genießen.

Hier gibt es auf jeden Fall einen der besten Falafel-Dürüms der Stadt. Egal wie voll es ist, hier geht es flott und mit guter Laune voran. Die Sitzmöglichkeiten drinnen und draussen runden den positiven Eindruck ab, sodass ich auch nach Jahren immer wieder gerne herkomme.

Nachtrag 20.01.26 Mal wieder im bester Döner Laden der Stadt. War legga 😋Lecker und faire Preise. Die Jungs haben immer gute Laune und guten Service.

Fleisch schmeckt roh, Soße schmeckt nach Blaubeere und zu teuer..

Laden ist um 23:30 Uhr geschlossen obwohl er bis um 00:00 Uhr geöffnet sein sollte.

Früher für mich einer der besten Döner in Hamburg gewesen. Ich habe regelmäßig das gesamte Team der Arbeit dort eingeladen. Doch seit einiger Zeit lässt dich Qualität leider nach. Auch der Umbau hat den Charme des Ladens kaputt gemacht. Jetzt sieht es dort aus wie jeder 0815-Dönerladen. Schade! Jetzt neuerdings keine Kartenzahlung mehr?! Das ist wirklich ein NoGo und seit dem nutzen wir andere Alternativen am Mühlenkamp. Auch hier also wohl ein Fall von Steueroptimierungen...

Was ist mit LIMON passiert? Das war der beste Döner in Hamburg und deshalb haben wir hier häufig zu Mittag gegessen. Im Viertel bekannt für gute Portionen und super Qualität. Seit einigen Wochen wird der Laden umgebaut: Die neue Version sieht weder einladend noch hochwertig aus. So als wäre schnell mal die Wand mit kalter Farbe überpinselt worden. Auch bei Dönergröße, Qualität und generell der Freundlichkeit hat Vieles schlagartig nachgelassen. Warum?? 😢 Außerdem wird hier wohl auch finanziell ein Optimierungsprogramm gefahren: Es hängen Zettel aus, dass keine Kartenzahlung mehr akzeptiert wird. Das war der Grund, warum wir den Laden verlassen wollten, bis man uns hinterherrief, dass Kartenzahlung doch okay sei… Naja, alles sehr schade. 😢

Mit einer meiner Lieblingsdöner in Hamburg. Qualität manchmal jedoch etwas schwankend und könnte etwas größer sein. Bitte daran arbeiten sonst echt top. Yaprak Fleisch mein absoluter Favourite und auch das Gemüse und die Soßen schmecken deutlich frischer als andere große Ketten in Hamburg!

Abzocke! Dürüm schmeckt wie ein Wrap von McDonalds und es werden Jumbo Preise berechnet, obwohl man die normale Größe bestellt hat. Und Jumbo war nichts daran.

Ist eigentlich immer unser Stammdöner gewesen. Waren bestimmt schon 50 Mal hier. Am Anfang hat sich der Döner geschmacklich und von der Größe von anderen Läden abgehoben. Leider hat Limon stark an Qualität verloren. Der Döner ist mittlerweile sehr klein! Die renovieren die einst gemütliche Ecke zum sitzen hinten, die nun aussieht als wäre man beim Zahnarzt. Anscheinend ist genug Geld da, um zu renovieren und trotzdem machen sie den Döner alle paar Monate teurer und kleiner ?! Mitarbeiter sind auch nicht mehr so nett wie früher. Schade, hoffentlich verbessert ihr eure Döner wieder !!

Falafel & Halloumi Wrap war sehr lecker, hätte für meinen Geschmack allerdings etwas voller sein können. Habe mein Essen aber sehr schnell bekommen und fand den Essensbereich sehr gut, weil er schön eingerichtet ist und um die Ecke, sodass man nichts von dem Trubel am Tresen mitbekommt.

Ein etwas anderer Kebab. Das Lokal ist sehr schön. Der Kebab ist gut. Wir kamen direkt vom Flug und es war das einzige Lokal, das um 23 Uhr noch geöffnet hatte.

Wir haben heute den Falafeldöner im Sesambrötchen bestellt mit scharfe Sauce. Ich muss sagen, dass war mein beste Falafeldöner die ich gegessen habe. Danke Jungs, die Falafel waren sehr saftig, mach weiter so. Richtig lecker. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder bei euch essen! 😘

Incredibly great restaurant/bistro. The owners are super friendly, the food is really fresh, and the portions are so delicious and generous 😍. I highly recommend it. I love the vegan and vegetarian options, and my husband loves the meat selection. There's something for everyone!

Nice kebab shop on Mühlenkamp. Delicious, especially the ezme. The staff was friendly. Prices were mid-range. The portion of the kebab meat is too small.

Very good!!! The shop is quite unknown and unassuming. But the regular doner kebab is truly one of the best standard doner kebabs in Hamburg. Nothing about the doner kebab is special, but all the ingredients are of the highest quality. It's also a very comfortable place to sit and eat. They also have yaprak meat, but I definitely recommend the regular veal.

Had a doner kebab today, the taste was truly top-notch... the atmosphere is very clean - I'll definitely come back again. Update 07/29/2025: Unfortunately, I have to revise my positive review and agree with the other negative comments... the portion size of the meat has decreased so much that it's simply not worth it anymore... almost €10 for a tiny doner kebab... I'll have to find another regular kebab place.

The hygiene here is completely nonexistent. They put very little meat and sauce into the kebabs – for almost €10. Absolutely not recommended.

The store is open until midnight according to opening hours, we arrived at 11:30 PM, the employee had cleared away almost everything and was rudely telling us we should order now because they're already off work. He was unfriendly and rude.

I got severe stomach pain and diarrhea after eating the kebab. Be careful, hygiene is very poor and I should be reported!

There are millions of doner places in the city. These guys stick with the higher quality meat for sure. Wrap size is huge if you put everything inside, i prefer to put only meat and a bit of spice. Have fun!

Barely any meat on it and barely any sauce on it, and all for almost 10 euros... Sorry, but that's just plain cheeky! A doner kebab used to cost 3.50 and was full; today, you can't even get half that for 10 euros.

Been there again for the first time in a long time, the food is still good, portion is very small, not much meat, not enough fries, not at all good, for the price of 17€ I expect to be full!!!!

Unfortunately, the grill was out on a Sunday. They're very skimping on the doner meat. I had more vegetables/bread than meat. The portion wasn't enough.

What a delicious kebab! The people at the establishment are super nice, and even though they didn't speak much English, we ended up understanding each other and were able to order without any problem. The good thing about the place is that it closes quite late compared to the surrounding businesses, so we were able to buy dinner at the last minute. It's a bit pricey, but it's super delicious.

A few months ago, it was still okay. Recently, the meat has been precisely weighed, and very little salad and sauce is added to the kebabs. The quality was also rather mediocre. All in all, pretty bad for €8.90!

Everything is just right here! The taste is incredibly good, everything is very clean and hygienic. The staff is probably the nicest and most charming you'll find anywhere. We, including me, only eat Turkish food here in Hamburg 💯

Hello, I've always been a regular customer, and recently they started weighing the meat portion precisely. Since then, the meat portion has been very small, and I'll probably switch to the kebab shop around the corner :( What a shame!

This is the best kebab I've ever eaten. How can a kebab be so fresh and delicious? The bread is thin and crispy, the quality of the meat (both chicken and veal) is great, the ingredients are fresh and the sauces are fantastic. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, we were very stingy with the portion of meat, even though there was still so much meat on site. There are much better ones in the corner. I wouldn't go there again

LIMON at Mühlenkamp 18 in Hamburg sets new standards for kebab lovers. The 100% Yaprak Döner Sandwich (€9) impresses with tender, aromatic meat, freshly baked Lavas bread and high-quality ingredients. The warm service and the modern, inviting atmosphere make the visit particularly pleasant. Although the portion could be a little larger, the first-class quality and authentic taste are convincing across the board. A clear recommendation for anyone looking for real enjoyment!

You often read “Best kebab in town” reviews and the kebab in the immediate vicinity is simply praised. But in this case I know several people who drive halfway across town to eat kebab together here. Dürum dough is freshly baked, the sauces are great, especially the avocado is really exceptional, the meat is juicy but the meatless alternative halloumi also tastes great!

Limon has the best, absolutely insanely good vegetable kebab I've ever had - including the one in Berlin. You get the warmest recommendation from me, 10/10.

For me it has been my choice for a long time because the quality of the meat seems to be better than in other shops. However, the portion sizes, which are very customer-dependent, are really annoying. I had a Dürüm that was rather small in size. The meat was not freshly cut, but rather heated up again on the heating area - which wasn't that tasty. Just a little dollop of sauce. Another customer who ordered right after me brought out a kebab almost the size of a newborn with a variety of different sauces. Because this isn't the first time this has happened to me, I'll probably look for a new favorite kebab.

I and my girlfriend got and still have the worse food poisoning of our lives from eating a few bites of a very very very bad döner before throwing it away. Too late.

Extremely unfriendly to long-established neighbors: was ordered inside even though there was space outside. Plus a kebab 0815 for the “Winterhude special price”. A few meters further you are better served.

I actually wanted a skewer, which isn't available here, everything is reduced to kebab and the usual. Doner meat is very pink, I said I would like well-cooked meat, Murren also has that, with a 0.33 beer for €10.50. In the meantime, someone comes in in street clothes, just prepares something behind the second counter (10 minutes), packs it up and leaves. Hygiene also only for spectators. The employees all wear open-toed and street shoes. A guest is just getting fries that the young man actually prepared for himself "to go" in "street clothes", i.e. the rest of them. My kebab, for the price, has too little quality and by that I don't mean too little meat, the quality is Anatolian subterranean and for the price it's a joke. Then it's better to go around the corner to an Italian restaurant in a great restaurant with appreciation and just such an atmosphere, pay €5.00 more and walk out super happy. If you are stoned, have too much money and have no expectations, you can fill your stomach here as an alternative to the garbage can. It was my fourth and last time today. I always thought, well, maybe it's just today, but it's standard. And today there was nothing going on, no queue or anything. And if it doesn't work...

The kebab is relatively dry and the meat is not that juicy. The salad doesn't taste that fresh either. Several attempts never really go well

The new hot sauce based on mayonnaise tastes bad and covers everything else with its pungent taste + endless useless vegetable fat (if a kebab needs more of something, then fat or what!?). You could definitely warn regular customers if you change the sauce - thanks for nothing 🤢 I'll probably have to look for a new kebab, too bad.

The employee rubs his nose several times with his hand and then opens the bread for my kebab with the same hand. Now, looking back, I'm annoyed that I didn't say anything. I stayed quiet out of politeness. I don't understand what goes on in the heads of such employees, doing something like that right in front of the customers? Also totally inattentive. For example, just put green salad in the kebab and then ask me what I want on it. Doner itself didn't taste like anything. Because of the nose problem, I couldn't eat the kebab with a clear head anyway. Whatever, never again.

Ultra expensive, €10 for a “jumbo” dürum that was the same size as the normal dürums in other stores. Staff unfriendly, which is perhaps best understood given the clientele at Mühlenkamp.

The kebab and soup in the store are really tasty, but I was disappointed by the very small portion size of the soup (see picture). The soup bowl was the size of a spoon!!! As a customer, this is a big deficit for me. A pity.

Dürüm totally cold, tastes of acid and just spicy. A pity!
