Köz Urfa in Hamburg

Hello, I ordered a Dürüm and was a bit disappointed as a tourist. The Dürüm itself was quite filling, but it wasn't even toasted or whatever you call it. There was no herb sauce, so I had to choose another one. The problem was, they didn't understand me very well; they don't speak proper German. It's a shame, because I'm really not used to it. It's still okay, thanks!

Not sure why people like it, the rice was parboiled rice .. alone that is kinda disappointing. The meat was okay but the overall arrangements, not very Urfa like food more germanized maybe? If you haven't experienced real turkish food, you may like it but if you have then that was a disaster.

We were asked several times by different people and the food still had to be remade because it was wrong. After answering the questions again, we finally got everything wrong again

A special place. A bit chaotic but with his own Charme. The variety of food is gigantic. Not really a veggie heaven but you will get around. Quality and price are just fine. So I recommend it. They are fast as hell, so be prepared.

I've been to Köz Urfa for probably the 20th time now. I was there for the first time about 13 years ago and was thrilled. The quality of the food was really good, the service was great. Back then I would have given 5 stars. The quality has been declining a bit for what feels like a year, which I find very unfortunate. The food is no longer as well seasoned, it is no longer presented as beautifully as it used to be. On Tuesday I was at Köz Urfa again and ordered Ezme as a starter and Iskender as my main course. The portion of Ezme has shrunk by half compared to the portion I ordered at the end of January. The Iskender I ordered wasn't brought to me at first, but rather a Dürum that I didn't order. When I then commented that I didn't order the Dürum, it was cleared away after about 3 minutes and served 2 tables away. Then came my Iskender, which tasted better and was presented more attractively. There was a 3 to 4 cm piece of wood or bone in my veal. I would say wood, which has no place in veal. When we pointed this out to the waiter, he just said it was bone and waved it off and said it wasn't that bad. I find it very questionable how bones or wood that had burned black could end up in your kebab skewer/rotisserie. After the main courses, my work colleague wanted to look at the menu again to see if he would order a dessert. But the card was initially forgotten until after 5 minutes the waiter remembered that he wanted a card. My conclusion, I'm very disappointed at how the quality has deteriorated over the last year.

The food was incredibly delicious, we were extremely satisfied, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was cozy. I definitely recommend it.

I have a kebab plate with a glass of ayran with a small cup of tea 20€20cent Betzhalt that was the most expensive kebab plate I have ever eaten. tasty was OK but little and expensive and bread was very old wanted to get rid of staff nice but that's not all without asking me my kebab plate with rice and bolghur brought but I felt like fries.what should I write everyone has to convince themselves

The Köz Urfa impresses with authentic Turkish cuisine! The dishes were freshly prepared, well seasoned and very tasty - we were particularly impressed by the grilled meat and the meze. The portions are generous and the price-performance ratio is good. The staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy, but could be a little more modern. Overall, a good restaurant that we would happily recommend! 🍢🇹🇷✨

This time we had the food delivered, the quality of the food was good, even if it wasn't quite warm (which is understandable given the distance). What was very annoying was that Ezme and rice were completely missing from 2 out of 3 dishes. Given the high prices, something like this shouldn't happen. That's why we won't have anything delivered again but rather pick it up so that everything can be checked on site. The food on site is always very tasty, the service is quick and everything is delivered quickly.

We went here because we wanted to try the tomahawk steak. It wasn't a good experience. We wanted it cooked medium and unfortunately it was rather well done and therefore very tough. The consistency was very dry and tasted sandy if you kept it in your mouth for a long time. Unfortunately the salad wasn't good either. It tasted like soap and was too sour. The only tasty things were the fries and the bread. The lentil soup was very runny and had hardly any taste. As if it had been diluted with water. I really can't recommend the tomahawk steak. We didn't try other dishes, they may be better. But I probably won't come here again.

Lahmacun was good, but I didn't find Adana very successful, but it was nice to be in the place of people from my hometown.

There is still real kebab meat here, and not the cheap rubber stuff that most people have now...

Actually very good, but the prices are no longer acceptable. Lentil soup now 7.50. This is no longer justified

We had dinner here with several people. Very hospitable and the food was great. Everyone was very satisfied.

We were in Hamburg and were looking for a good Turkish snack bar for food on hand. We were impressed by the Adana skewers and we ordered some to take away from Dürüm twice. During the waiting time (10 minutes) we got some great tea. The food was freshly prepared in front of us and we had one with hot sauce and one with tzatziki. The price was very high at €13.50 per roll. Unfortunately my wife didn't like her meat. It was too spicy and too bland/dry for her. In addition, the bread / Dürüm was also soft and broke apart straight away, so it was very difficult for her to eat and unfortunately she had to throw the last part away. For me it tasted OK. The food was also difficult, but it wasn't a revelation for the price. Too bad. We would still give the restaurant another chance to eat in the restaurant next time we visit Hamburg.

Absolutely delicious. Service could be a little friendlier. Sometimes very loud in the restaurant. But all in all a recommendation.

First of all, I ordered a kebab without onions and received it with onions. Then let the whole thing go back only to get the same kebab again where you only removed the onions from the top, after 3 bites there were onions everywhere. The next thing was the table right by the door, which was always open and at 5 degrees that was rather uncomfortable.

The ambience is ok, but I would recommend typical Urfa seating in some corners... I would change the ceiling decoration, nice pictures or sights from Urfa would be great, instead of flowers on the windowsill I would put objects that fit Urfa, take down the wallpaper with stone decoration and have the walls decorated with real stones. For food: We ordered chicken skewer, it tasted like most people's. Unfortunately I didn't like the plastic plates, the plates rotated when I was cutting the meat, that could certainly be changed... the white sauce was a bit salty for us, half of the slightly spicy pepperoni was missing [I wonder why, this is the first time I've had something like that :-)] and lastly it would be great if the flatbread was nice and warm and not just a little. I still have a hint :-) ... there were leftover food on the table that was becoming vacant. When you wiped it clean, it was distributed thinly on the table by pressing and wiping, you can see that when you look at the side of the table, the waiter and the new guests don't see it from their perspective... maybe you wipe it a 3rd or 4th time with additional cloths, which you also change regularly.

Since we did not make a reservation at the restaurant, we waited a little while at the entrance due to the crowd, but it was not a problem for us. We were taken to a vacant table. We bought soup as a starter, but unfortunately it was a complete flop. The tripe was overly thick and raw. After a few spoonfuls, I couldn't continue. When I explained the situation to the waiter, he said okay, let me know and left. We took chicken skewers and mixed vegetables as main course. The chickens and meat were not cooked. It was obvious that they were in a hurry. Anyway, we conveyed this and they cooked it again, but half of the chicken stew was still raw. Appetizers, two types of rice and salads came on a plate in cumbuṣ. The view was not very appetizing. Unfortunately, we did not get what we paid for. Footnote: They did not take the money for the tripe soup. Would I recommend it to those who want to go? no😕

I still give you 5 stars even though my food tasted like gas, apparently the coal wasn't hot enough. Please tell the boss that your boys should let the coal burn properly. Next time, please, without the taste of gas.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the meat dishes, but I think the vegetarian selection is great (and totally sufficient for my standards)! Everything just tastes so delicious. Everyone on site is always very friendly and you can get a place even without a reservation (at least for two). We have already ordered twice and had nothing to complain about! :) I would recommend it to everyone at any time.

Large selection of Anatolian dishes paired with friendly Turkish hospitality. The kebab was tasty and rich. At the end there was a classic free Turkish tea.

Often get a takeaway from here, great food, always fresh, friendly staff, and very efficient. The restaurant part is also nice, if you can get a table.

Nice shop in itself but in our case the food was unfortunately mediocre

While traveling in the area, we went there because some locals had recommended the place to us. The dishes were so good! We had a blast! On the other hand, the waiter who served us was unfriendly but that did not prevent us from having a good evening.

Sorry but that has nothing to do with kebab culture and Turkish cuisine. I had to eat there 6-7 times because I always stay in the neighboring hotel when I'm in Hamburg. The portions are quite large but the taste is the same for all kebab dishes. It just doesn't taste like anything! The last time I ordered Iskender Kebap, hoping that they couldn't really go wrong with this dish. Unfortunately I had to send the plate back. The bread base was hard and coarse, not toasted and without tomato sauce. The yogurt was with garlic - a no-go at Iskender. The tomato sauce on top was spicy. Also a no-go with Iskender. And the kebab meat was simply shredded. Looked like minced meat. However, Iskender meat must be the size of two fingers, yet in thin pieces. And the taste of the meat was again a disaster. When I complained to the waiter, he said "Our customers like it that way!" German customers in particular don't know a real Iskender. If you serve it to them like that, then they have no other choice. The other dishes such as Adana, Beyti or Şiş Kebap etc. also taste catastrophic. Always the same tomato sauce and garlic yogurt. It is also very loud inside. The waiters are constantly shouting when they confirm the orders with the kitchen. And ultimately the fun also costs a lot of money. For comparison: In Cologne a kebab plate costs between €18-21 but here it starts at €23. Soups cost around €10 (€5-7 in Cologne). In Cologne I can eat an Iskender for €16-17, but here it's a hefty €22.50. We don't even need to talk about the taste. Altona definitely deserves much better Turkish cuisine.

I tried this place a couple of years ago and again last night.. Such a disappointment.. the food was cold.. I know this concept very well, and you are not gonna eat it cold.. the tomato sauce for the beyti was tasteless.. no aroma.. just water and tomato puree..

We ordered and paid €40 for 2x kebabs and a sucuk pide. The kebab was so thinly topped, hardly any meat. The meat tasted bad and the pide was old and barely topped. We both had stomach pains afterwards! I don't recommend anyone to order. Total rip off!!

No idea why the store is rated so well. 18€ for a cold pide. 9€ for a yoghurt soup that is based on chicken (huh?? That's not how you make the soup..., especially not if someone is vegetarian).. just completely overpriced for the quality.

Huge restaurant divided into three areas with an equally huge selection. Despite the size, the very personal and friendly service does not suffer. The food is excellent, freshly prepared and appetizingly presented. I really enjoy coming here again.

The food was definitely very tasty. Nothing special but definitely good Turkish cuisine. Something that bothered me about the service was that the plates were cleared away hastily and without asking, even though there was still food on the plates. But overall I'm satisfied.

Half-hearted preparation despite high prices. I also see the quality of the meat, for example in Yogurtlu Kebab, as problematic. Lots of meat scraps mixed together, unappetizing chewing feeling. Waiter didn't want to listen to feedback. Conclusion: Long-established restaurant, but has now lost touch with quality and customer satisfaction. Really a shame.

Dürüm flatbread was cold! The salt is also ice cold! Unfortunately, not much meat but a lot of cabbage.

The best Turkish restaurant in Hamburg!

We recently dined at your restaurant Köz Urfa with a group of 6 people. Unfortunately we were not at all satisfied with our visit. Our dishes were not served at the same time, which resulted in a disorganized atmosphere at the table. In addition, the meat was not well cooked and did not meet our expectations. There were also errors in the bill, which was very annoying for us. We ask you to avoid such situations in the future and to pay more attention to the quality of your service. We hope you take our feedback seriously and take appropriate action.

Unfortunately the food wasn't good, everything had no real taste and was cold. And the prices for drinks are outrageously high.

Unfortunately the food was disappointing. The lentil soup was a complete failure. It tasted more like turmeric soup than lentil soup. The soup was completely yellow and had no taste. The main courses were also anything but convincing. The chicken wasn't cooked properly. The rice was also disappointing: one part of the dish was with sauce, the other without, and there was water under the rice. The overall experience was not at all satisfactory in terms of taste, and the high prices were disproportionate to the quality of the food.

Yemeklerin fiyatları the ortalama kaliteye brat çok yüksek. Fiyat-performans oranı kesinlikle yok. Bir daha gelmem.

Best kebab and best Adana I've ever had in my life. We ordered the mixed plate for 2 people and were more than full. It's a must-visit if you're visiting Hamburg and want REAL Urfa cuisine.

Beautiful place, a piece of Türkiye in Germany. Delicious food, tender and juicy meat, the smells took me back to my trip to Türkiye. Attentive and helpful staff. For two whole dishes, a lahmacun with meat, 4 cay and 2 0.5l of ayran: €65 It's a shame that where I live, in Italy, there is nothing so authentic and good. Super recommended!

We ordered 2 kebab plates for €16 each. On the plate there was 80% salad, 10% fries and 10% meat. For the price you would expect a proper portion. When we kindly pointed this out to the waiter, we were told it was normal and if we wanted we could get tea on the house. Incredible! Never again!

I don't understand how you can find that good. A disaster through and through... The gristly meat was disgusting and there were 20g of cheese on the cheese pudding. I've never experienced anything like that before.

Very tasty and fresh food, even though the shop was packed. The staff was also attentive and friendly. However, I have to give a small deduction in the B grade: The drinks (even water) were served in glasses. Unfortunately not in bottles. And the tea wasn't that tasty either.
