Öz Urfa Kebap Haus in Hamburg

I definitely recommend it. At the entrance someone will assign you a table and tell you the history of the place. After placing your order, you receive a snack - bread with sauces. The dish is great, I chose Rollo on a plate, personally I think there was too much cheese but it didn't bother me. At the end you receive a thank you from the owner in the form of tea.

My favorite dish: lentil soup and a “balloon bread” with it :-) Very, very tasty! Doner kebab tastes delicious and special requests are always taken into account. The tea tastes great and the sweets are also delicious! The employees are all very nice and friendly. If you like kebab, you should only eat it here, because the hygiene is also good, the meat is well chilled and the kebab skewer is nice and crispy!

Everything was actually fine. But: The kebab salad, half of which was still available, should be packed. Arrived home to find only a fraction WITHOUT the sauce and especially the meat!! Did you quickly eat the meat with a fork and then pack up the rest? A bottomless impudence, unbelievable action. Disgusting. Never again!

I am a loyal regular of this restaurant and come to Hamburg from Schwerin just to eat at this wonderful restaurant whenever I have the opportunity. The food is always fresh, delicious and authentic. During my last visit there was a small misunderstanding when ordering, but the team responded in an absolutely professional manner: The person responsible came to the table personally and apologized politely. This high standard of service really impressed me and shows how important guest satisfaction is to the team. Thank you for the great hospitality – I’ll always be happy to come back!

I had the pleasure of visiting Öz Urfa Kebap Haus in Hamburg today and all I can say is that it was really delicious! I would particularly like to emphasize the friendly service. The staff were very attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Everyone works like bees and the food was served very quickly.

1. Getting orders half right half wrong. 2. Staff very unfriendly, discussed with us that the food was ours even though we didn't order it. 3. Too many napkins for 20 people. They brought 8 napkins.

Das „Restaurant“ erlaubt keine Hunde, aufgrund der Gäste die sich gestört fühlen könnten - typisch türkische Mentalität. Jeder Hund hat mehr Reinlichkeit. Döner zum mitnehmen war nahezu ungenießbar. Hühnerfleisch war noch roh.

It's a good place near Hamburg Central Station to eat Turkish dishes. It is located on a very busy street. It has a variety of Turkish foods including various kebabs. Food price is a little expensive, otherwise it is a good area to get fresh Arabic food.

Totally unfriendly staff, as a Muslim person I wouldn't eat there. I asked whether he or the owner is Muslim (since as a respectful Muslim you don't ask whether something is halal, but rather whether a person is Muslim). I was answered very cheekily that I wasn't interested in that. I was also told that I should look for my faith elsewhere. The waiter claimed to be Muslim on the phone, I don't doubt his faith, but this came across as very offensive to me even though I asked a simple question. As unfortunately already mentioned, it was simply unfriendly, simply inappropriate and cheeky for the fact that I wanted to be a new customer.

Öz Urfa on Steindamm is a real gem for anyone who loves authentic Turkish cuisine! As soon as you enter the restaurant you are warmly welcomed and introduced to the lively atmosphere of oriental hospitality. The decor is cozy and simple, which puts the focus entirely on the excellent food. The menu offers a wide range of specialties including perfectly grilled kebabs, juicy lahmacun and crispy pide. The ingredients are fresh and the dishes are always wonderfully seasoned - every dish tastes as if it had been prepared with a lot of love and experience. We particularly recommend the Adana kebab and the lamb, which are cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. There is also freshly baked flatbread, which is wonderfully warm and fluffy and goes perfectly with the starters such as hummus and grilled vegetables. The service is fast, friendly and accommodating. The prices are more than fair, especially considering the quality and generous portions. We had a seat in the back area - the service is no-frills and the atmosphere has more of a snack bar feel. The drinks are served in plastic bottles with glass - there was bread and two dips beforehand, which is positive. The menu itself is lardy, but includes a wide range of choices. The food was quite tasty. However, we wouldn't come back because of the overall package.

The food is tasty and quite okay. The staff is also friendly and accommodating. Overall, the rooms are past their best and have rocked down. The toilets are partly broken and a little dingy. If you look through the door of the scullery, it's not entirely tidy. A complete modernization is necessary here. I would still like to come back.

Great opening times. Was once my favorite kebab. At some point the kebab counter was rebuilt. There used to be a glass counter where you could see the vegetables etc. This is no longer the case, so you can't see the ingredients (and their freshness) that you want in your kebab. The kebab meat is always very fatty. There is always an excessive amount of fat/jelly at the end of the kebab/dürüm. Taste-wise: I don't know if it's my imagination, but it felt like the meat and vegetables weren't always as bland as on my last visits. Positive: Here you can still get real tzatziki made from yoghurt and a sensible hot sauce (even if it's not super hot), instead of the chili mayo or ketchup stories like in many other shops these days. The employees are well-rehearsed and fast.

Very disappointing experience! I have rarely felt as uncomfortable and disrespected as I did in this restaurant. The staff was rude and lacked any friendliness. My food was literally “thrown” in front of me without a single word or smile. Neither a friendly “Hello” nor a “Goodbye” – I felt completely ignored as a guest. It was particularly annoying that I asked for the bill despite hardly any other guests and then still had to wait 20 minutes (despite asking several times)! This treatment and the lack of attention from the staff is really unacceptable. One star is even too much for me.

I can advise you not to eat there. Was there last week and their meat was so bad that I got food poisoning and have only had a stomach ache ever since. This is the worst restaurant there is in Hamburg and in my opinion a place like this should be closed. In a restaurant, the shop has to be very well maintained and clean, but this shop is very dirty, the counters also have dirt everywhere and the toilets are very, very dirty. Never again!!!
