Best lentil soup in Hamburg! Ezme is too dry, the bread is delicious! The pon is also good. I always enjoy coming back, but you could really improve on some things: for example, pour a little oil over the salad. Thank you for your hospitality.

Öz Urfa Hamburg – Beyond Disappointment I'm from Urfa and went to a restaurant with "Öz Urfa" in its name with high hopes. However, my experience was a complete disaster. I'm ashamed that they've portrayed Urfa so poorly. The beyti I ordered was a complete disaster. I paid over 22 euros, and all I got was a pile of dough. I wanted to return it, but the waiter took the plate to the kitchen, where the so-called "chef" wrapped the same beyti in aluminum foil, put it back in the oven, and brought it back. I saw it with my own eyes! How could such disrespect be possible? Is this what beyti bread is supposed to be? My friend's order was equally awful, and he couldn't eat it either. The waiter asked, "Should we take it out?" We said no. Despite this, when the bill arrived, they charged 44 euros. For what? For poor quality food that even a dog wouldn't eat! The only thing lacking was the beating. Zero respect, zero attention, zero quality. As I was leaving, I asked, "Do I really have to pay this?" and the waiter said, "Yes." I explained that I was a journalist and would write about my experience. The waiter then pleaded, "Please don't write about it; it would be bad publicity." But the facts speak for themselves! Conclusion: This restaurant absolutely cannot be called "Öz Urfa." It's an insult to Urfa's cuisine, culture, and reputation. They'd be better off changing the name to "garbage restaurant." My first night in Hamburg was ruined. We used to go to Öz Urfa every time we visited Hamburg, but now it's gone! Hygiene is a big ZERO... If you're coming to Hamburg, don't ever, ever stop by this place. You'll be throwing away both your money and your stomach.

We don't know if the many positive reviews are genuine or fake—perhaps we were just unlucky. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food. We ordered an Iskender and an Ayran. Unfortunately, the Ayran tasted like 99% water—practically no flavor, more like tap water. The Iskender barely tasted like doner meat. The meat was very tough and barely edible, and the tomato sauce was extremely watery. The only bright spot was the yogurt, which was really delicious and creamy. We would like to highlight the service: very friendly and fast. The atmosphere was quite loud, but still acceptable in a crowded restaurant. Overall, unfortunately, it wasn't a convincing visit for us.

Unfortunately, a Turkish restaurant is run in a chaotic and racist manner, with little interest, especially towards Arabs. Sometimes, some of them mutter incomprehensible words. I do not recommend it except in extreme cases. There are many Turkish and Arab restaurants on the same street.

A solid kebab shop where the staff, at least during my visit, weren't even halfway attentive. You'd stand at the counter for a minute without being served, even though there was no one else there. The kebab itself was well-balanced in terms of meat to salad ratio. The homemade kebab bread was a plus, but for me, it was a euro too expensive for the amount.

The best rollo I have had in a while

I definitely recommend it. At the entrance someone will assign you a table and tell you the history of the place. After placing your order, you receive a snack - bread with sauces. The dish is great, I chose Rollo on a plate, personally I think there was too much cheese but it didn't bother me. At the end you receive a thank you from the owner in the form of tea.

My favorite dish: lentil soup and a “balloon bread” with it :-) Very, very tasty! Doner kebab tastes delicious and special requests are always taken into account. The tea tastes great and the sweets are also delicious! The employees are all very nice and friendly. If you like kebab, you should only eat it here, because the hygiene is also good, the meat is well chilled and the kebab skewer is nice and crispy!

Everything was actually fine. But: The kebab salad, half of which was still available, should be packed. Arrived home to find only a fraction WITHOUT the sauce and especially the meat!! I am a loyal regular of this restaurant and come to Hamburg from Schwerin just to eat at this wonderful restaurant whenever I have the opportunity. The food is always fresh, delicious and authentic. During my last visit there was a small misunderstanding when ordering, but the team responded in an absolutely professional manner: The person responsible came to the table personally and apologized politely. This high standard of service really impressed me and shows how important guest satisfaction is to the team. Thank you for the great hospitality – I’ll always be happy to come back!

Das „Restaurant“ erlaubt keine Hunde, aufgrund der Gäste die sich gestört fühlen könnten - typisch türkische Mentalität. Jeder Hund hat mehr Reinlichkeit. Döner zum mitnehmen war nahezu ungenießbar. Hühnerfleisch war noch roh.

I don't have much to say about the taste because we couldn't eat it, more than one hair came out in the food. If there was only one, it would be called the human condition, but this was ignored more. This statement may be a bit harsh, but it was more like a hair plate than a grill plate.

It's a good place near Hamburg Central Station to eat Turkish dishes. It is located on a very busy street. It has a variety of Turkish foods including various kebabs. Food price is a little expensive, otherwise it is a good area to get fresh Arabic food.

Totally unfriendly staff, as a Muslim person I wouldn't eat there. I asked whether he or the owner is Muslim (since as a respectful Muslim you don't ask whether something is halal, but rather whether a person is Muslim). I was answered very cheekily that I wasn't interested in that. I was also told that I should look for my faith elsewhere. The waiter claimed to be Muslim on the phone, I don't doubt his faith, but this came across as very offensive to me even though I asked a simple question. As unfortunately already mentioned, it was simply unfriendly, simply inappropriate and cheeky for the fact that I wanted to be a new customer.
