Very nice and the waitress very friendly. They have a very wide offer. Open until quite late. We went in the morning, but we spent several nights there and at 10 there were people having dinner. The only drawback, like everywhere in Bayreuth, is that there are lots of bees. You get used to it, but we never stop being alert.

For me it's almost a reason to come from Frankfurt and eat there. Tasty cuisine meets good beer, served by friendly staff in a great atmosphere

Very tasty food. In addition to the spaetzle, the soups and apple cakes are highly recommended. In contrast to the spritzers, the house lemonade doesn't taste good. The staff is very nice.

I had the 3 from the grill. The sausages were split open and cooked until crispy. The herb was completely overcooked. Apparently everything was kept warm for a very long time. The Oscar bread isn't really fresh anymore either. The bratwursts that are available at the snack stands here for 4 euros are significantly better. When I complained, the only comment I got was: I'll pass it on.

On the menu there are mostly Franconian classics, the national dish "Schäufele" with a crispy crust and dumplings and coleslaw plentiful and good, suitable for the big appetite :- ) Quick, friendly and attentive service. Also well attended at lunchtime on weekdays, word gets around about quality...

A building with over 600 years of history. A famous store that would be listed in any guidebook. Visited without a reservation on a weekday night with 5 people. I waited for about 1-2 minutes and then put it in. The store is decorated in a Christmas mood. It had a cute atmosphere. Franconian food and beer I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Really nice desserts, reasonable portions, delicious mushroom schnitzel, the staff was very nice, only the wasps were extremely annoying and disruptive in summer temperatures, which is why we had to flee with our dessert. There is a point deduction for the ambience. However, we would still be happy to recommend it and come back.

Of course, the Schäufele are particularly recommended. Of course there are also delicious vegetarian and vegan alternatives! Always worth recommending!

Food is great and so is the beer. There is homemade lemonade that you have to try. It's always crowded outside in summer. You go for a walk and come back and something is free. We always go there to eat, it is a must for us when we are in Bayreuth. It's not so crowded for nothing. You cannot reserve seats outside. Plates are large, for good eaters 😂 there are all other drinks too. Service is great, it's mostly students who earn something extra.

Oskar is a rustic inn that welcomes its guests in different rooms/areas. Some of the staff are also dressed appropriately in dirndls or lederhosen. The order is taken quickly and the homemade lemonade is recommended. The menu is quite extensive and offers larger and smaller dishes. Our food was very tasty.

After looking for several restaurants to eat at, we opted for this one due to its “good reviews”, I made a reservation for 5:30 p.m. We specifically go to the restaurant, and when we get out of the car, I receive an email in which the restaurant cancels our reservation... Was recommended to us by the hotel and clearly exceeded expectations. Franconian bruscetta as a starter and ox cheeks with chanterelles. Both were very tasty and tender. Dessert is strawberry dumplings. Not too sweet but very intense! Nice to sit outside in the old town of Bayreuth.

Sunday evening, 7:00 p.m. 🕖 city festival. The city is full and there is a lot going on near Oksar. Nevertheless, all the employees were very friendly and accommodating. Delicious homemade lemonade 🍹 The onion roast and especially the fried potatoes were sensational! For dessert there were sweet dumplings, which were also a poem.

Oskar is in the pedestrian zone, so it's best to walk there. It is always busy and therefore it is better if you reserve your seats in advance. There are a number of seats in front of the restaurant that fill up quickly when the weather is nice. Inside there are several possibilities of rooms. The waitresses are friendly and helpful. Drinks and food are served quickly. The quality and quantity is very good and the price is reasonable. It's always worth going to Oskar if you want to eat well.

Wir haben lange nach einem Restaurant im Zentrum gesucht. Von Anfang an sprach uns das Oskar Wirtshaus am besten an. Und wir wurden belohnt. Das Schmalzbrot vorweg schmeckte. Die Bedienung sehr nett. Mein Schäuferle ein Traum. Die Nürnberger mit Sauerkraut auch sehr lecker. Die Biere und Weine richtig klasse. Man sitzt draußen ganz fantastisch. Einfach eine tolle Stimmung. Uns hat es gut gefallen.
