Ziemlich gut! Essen ist sehr gut bis hervorragend. Auch große Gruppen werden sehr gut versorgt. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.

Wir haben abends nett dort gegessen, allerdings ist das Parken eine Herausforderung.

Überaus freundlicher Service, leckeres Essen und gutes Bier...kein Touristenrestaurant,sondern ein Ort, wo sich Einheimische treffen und du willkommen bist.

Sehr empfehlenswerte Gastwirtschaft, gelegen in einem ruhigen Wohngebiet. Mein Burger war sehr lecker, die Bedienung freundlich und der Preis angemessen. Insgesamt war ich mit dem Besuch sehr zufrieden.

Wir haben Schäufele mit Kloß und Scholle mit Kartoffelsalat gegessen. Das Schäufele war Spitze, das Fleisch fiel nahezu vom Knochen und die Kruste war genial. Die Soße war hausgemacht und lecker. Das Sauerkraut war wie es in Franken typisch serviert wird. Der Kartoffelsalat war selbstgemacht und auch der Beilagensalat war knackig und lecker. Wir wohnen in der Nähe und kommen jetzt öfter.

Sehr schöner Biergarten und das Essen war sehr lecker... Unser Hund hat gleich einen Napf mit Wasser bekommen 👍

Das beste Wirtshaus in Bayreuth! Absolute Spitzenklasse. Waren gestern spontan dort, nachdem das eigentliche Ziel (Eremitenklause) die Küche geschlossen hatte. Vorweg z.B. haben wir den gebackenen Camembert bestellt - der war sogar selbst paniert und einfach köstlich. Schnitzel in 5 Varianten - Tipp: Mit Spätzle und der Lebkuchensauce vom Sauerbraten. Der Preis ist auch absolut fair. Immer gerne wieder!

Wir waren gestern am Muttertag spontan mit sechs Personen essen. Das Essen war sehr lecker, und wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder.

Gut bürgerliche Küche im gemütlichen Ambiente

Mich laust jetzt der "Affe". :-) Unerwartete geile Location, richtig gut zum Parken. Perfekt gekühltes Maisel's Hefeweizen, Essen geht so fantastisch schnell und es schmeckt richtig geil. Super Preisniveau, sehr aufmerksames Personal. Der Chef hat mich übrigens gefragt, ob ich mit dem Essen zufrieden war, habe zunächst nicht geantwortet und ihm nur mein Handy gezeigt mit dem Hinweis, dass ich gerade eine Bewertung gemacht habe. Schade nur, dass ich rund 400 km entfernt wohne. Hier war ich mal richtig geflasht. Wow!!! Ganz liebe Grüsse aus Freiburg:-)

Gemütliche Gaststätte mit sehr leckerem und verhältnismäßig günstigem Essen sowie einer großen Getränkeauswahl. Der Service war unglaublich schnell und sehr zuvorkommend/freundlich. Jeder Zeit sehr gerne wieder. Der angeschlossene Biergarten war noch nicht geöffnet, ist aber sicher auch einen Besuch wert.

Wir waren im Gasthaus zur Laus auf der Durchreise mit 5 Personen und ohne Reservierung an einem Sonntag Nachmittag. Wir sind rundum begeistert. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker, frisch zubereitet und schön heiß, genau wie ich es mag. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das äußerst freundliche und aufmerksame Personal, das sich sehr gut um die Gäste kümmert. Sehr praktisch ist auch, dass die meisten Menüs in kleineren und größeren Portionen angeboten werden. Das nette, ländliche Ambiente sorgt zusätzlich für eine gemütliche und entspannte Atmosphäre. Ein Ort, an den man gerne zurückkommt – klare Empfehlung! Wenn wir wieder mal auf der Durchreise sind werden wir sehr gerne auch einen Umweg machen und wieder vorbei kommen zum Essen. Sehr nettes Personal Die Gasträume waren voll besetzt! Das Schäufele Fleisch war super weich, ein Traum! Jedoch hätte es noch mehr gewürzt sein können, es fehlte Kümmel und die Soße schmeckte etwas langweilig. Das Sauerkraut süß und genau unser Geschmack. Dazu ein großer grüner Kloß sowie ein Semmelkloß. Auch unsere anderen Gerichte waren sehr zu empfehlen. Sehr gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis

Ich kann zum Essen nicht viel sagen, denn ich war hier nach einer Beerdigung zum Trauerkaffee. Die Tafel war aber sehr schön angerichtet. Der Service sehr aufmerksam.

The service was very welcoming. We were served immediately and didn't have to wait long; the food arrived quickly and was really delicious. Good, traditional home cooking 👍🏻 The only downside was that two items were forgotten. One was brought immediately, but the other wasn't noticed until after we'd finished eating (it wasn't a big deal, though, and it still tasted great). We'd love to come back again 😊

Dogs are welcome. Super friendly service, Delicious food, and the dessert reminded me of my grandma. All in all, top-notch.

Absolutely! An absolutely essential place for a dumpling-and-sauce fan like me! Everything else is delicious too! Equally good: the homemade herbal lemonade – a real alternative (for those who still have to drive!)

Kerwa Thursday was chaotic. We had a reservation, but the waitress messed it up. The knuckles were already out by 6:30 p.m. We waited an hour for the horseradish meat. We would have liked to have had another drink, but the waitress was missing. The horseradish meat was of mediocre quality, and charging €17.90 for it is outrageous! The sauce was watered down. If you can recommend anything else, horseradish meat definitely won't!

Good, down-to-earth food that really fills you up.

The food was very tasty, but we had to wait quite a while for our food. The beer garden was also very crowded, so the atmosphere seemed a bit overwhelming. But it would definitely be better another day. The food is definitely highly recommended, as it's also good value for money!

Four of us went out to eat today and had mixed experiences. The Brotzeit-Platter and the Brotzeit-Platter Rustikal were both okay. The schnitzel, on the other hand, wasn't particularly impressive—it was dry and very flat, and didn't seem to be homemade. The potato salad without mayo, however, was again a highlight. The service was very good; our waitress was always friendly and attentive. Overall, it was okay, but with a little more attention to detail in the main courses, it could be even better.

I had the Alsatian flame-grilled schnitzel from the weekly menu. It was generally good, but deep-fried and a bit dry. If deep-fried, it's better to have one thicker schnitzel rather than two thin ones. Or, even better, a signature dish, just a pan-fried schnitzel. A small salad would have been appropriate for the price. Overall, it's a bit pricey, but the food could have been better, and the service was good. The atmosphere is nice. Three stars plus, not far off four.

An absolute must if you want to eat well in Bayreuth. From classic Franconian cuisine to vegan dishes. The beer garden also fits perfectly into the overall concept.

Super delicious and sometimes changing offerings from the kitchen. Tobi, the server, always has a good saying on his lips. He frequently asked if everything was okay without being intrusive. Requests are accommodated. Cold and hot dishes are available here. Many are also vegetarian/vegan, even the sauces. The portion sizes are ideal and the value is very good.

We were there about a month ago and were very satisfied. Yesterday, however, we were extremely dissatisfied. The portions were extremely small. The prices—even for beer—are at the upper limit. The server was uninterested in selling drinks. We were left without food for a very long time, even though it wasn't busy. This isn't going to work.

Very honest, down-to-earth German cuisine. Typical Franconian fare is served here in a somewhat rustic setting. The menu offers a wide selection, and vegetarians won't go hungry either. The service is typically Franconian and warm. The prices are also very fair. An absolute recommendation for anyone looking for typical Franconian cuisine in a casual atmosphere!

A very nice, typical Bayreuth restaurant! I've been here three times in the last two weeks. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't manage to offer a "cheers while your drink arrives" today. But that doesn't detract from the experience. For the winery

Sunday lunch, delicious Franconian dishes and generous portions. The homemade iced tea was also excellent, and the warm nougat cake with vanilla ice cream was a perfect finish.

If you want decent, tasty portions at a fair price, this is the place to go in Bayreuth. It's a bit out of the way from the city center, but it's worth the trip.

Just last Sunday we celebrated my son's communion in the Laus. Starting with the agreements made in advance, through the decoration of the tables and of course the food and service, everything was as we wanted it. It couldn't have been better. Very nice food, a lot of vegetarian options and a very great service. Warm and welcoming place but quit noisy inside and the quality of some product is sometime not the best but in general I would recommend this place especially in summer. The outside area is really nice !

The food itself has always been excellent so far, only yesterday, we ordered schnitzel, cheese spaetzle, etc. I (we) have to say that the food yesterday was unfortunately not that good. The schnitzel was very tasty and had no taste in the cheese spaetzle, was there too much cream and tomatoes? Otherwise it was good maybe the chef changed?

Best place for German Food in the region

The food is delicious, but it's best to make a reservation in advance. By 6 p.m. on Sunday, many dishes were no longer available. But the nice service.

If you want to eat really good Franconian food at reasonable prices, you've come to the right place. Roast trio always works. 😄

Extremely pleasant atmosphere even as the number of guests increases. Reservation is recommended. The cheese spaetzle and dumpling trio, which were served very quickly, were very tasty and very appetizingly prepared. Despite the increasing stress level in the kitchen, the espresso was nice and hot (preheated cup) and the service was very warm and courteous. We will eat here again very soon.

The food there tastes really good. The staff so nice and friendly! Ambience in the back room could be improved e.g. with warm lighting, more comfortable chairs etc. In general a very good restaurant. Accessibility by public transport is also good! Praise again to the staff. Super sweet and helpful

Yesterday we had dinner at Laus. And for the last time!!! The waitress spilled his drink on my husband's jacket. All she said was, it can happen, and didn't even offer help drying the jacket. The food came quickly, but the salad with carrots was stretched with old ones. The fries were dry, as was the schnitzel. The Schäufele wasn't the best in terms of taste either. The crowning glory came with the bill. The waitress simply charged us for the food from the neighboring table. We were even charged 1 euro for the take-away box from the meal without telling us. One star rating is actually too much.

Super tasty food, top service. Great value for money. We reserved a table for 6 people and increased it to 8 people at short notice (3 hours in advance), and it wasn't a problem. Child was having fun 😊. The service was great and unfortunately increasingly rare these days. It wasn't our first visit to the Laus, but it certainly wouldn't be the last either. Keep it up. We are already looking forward to the next time.

An all-round successful stay. After we were canceled two days before our reservation for a large group at another restaurant, we found a place in the Laus. Service super fast and attentive. A huge shelf of games to borrow during their stay was waiting for the children. But it wasn't necessary to bridge the gap. Food was good. The Schäufele, the bread dumpling and the sauerkraut were particularly convincing. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately quite a disappointment. You can't complain about the ambience, cozy beer garden. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing: the schnitzel had no taste, and what felt like 30 fries were thrown on the plate - €15.90 for that, in my opinion, way too much. The sauerbraten sauce and dumplings were okay, unfortunately the meat was dry and hard, which even the additional sauce couldn't save. The drinks also somehow had no real taste, everything was very watery (iced tea, herbal lemonade). You can't complain about the service, friendly and attentive.

Good Franconian cuisine, with a great, reliable delivery service on the weekend that brings dumplings and roasts to your front door at reasonable prices. Even vegetarian dishes and salads are on offer. Class!

Food and service very good and very friendly. We sat outside in the beer garden and enjoyed it. Were there with several adults and two children. The children were also very welcome.

I can highly recommend it. The large beer garden was full, but a side room was opened for us (15 people)👍🏽. I enjoyed a great vegetable curry with coconut and rice, as well as a tasty, refreshing iced tea.

Unfortunately, the operating staff seems to be over-promoted. The whole thing goes around and it takes a long time to order. Beer garden was almost empty (2 tables occupied) and yet cleaning other tables was more important than accepting new orders. QR codes on the tables don't work either. No drinks menu on the tables. It's a shame - although the location is great and the beer tastes good, unfortunately I can't recommend this inn :(

In the beer garden of the Laus, I feel like I'm at home. The food is a real feast, the portions are huge. Christine fulfills every wish, Plates and glasses are filled quickly. The service is like a fairy, And that's why it's not that bad anywhere. Kind regards 🥰 Anton from Tyrol .

The food was excellent and very nicely presented

The food wasn't to our taste. Real Wiener Schnitzel supposedly made from veal, which I doubt. A lot of things come from the deep fryer. Bruschetta, should be left to those who can make it. Way too hard and tasted rancid.
