Very good food and friendly service!

Cozy beer garden, very friendly and attentive staff, the food was a real treat, and we even had live music from a talented young man. We will definitely be back!

Kerwa Thursday was chaotic. We had a reservation, but the waitress messed it up. The knuckles were already out by 6:30 p.m. We waited an hour for the horseradish meat. We would have liked to have had another drink, but the waitress was missing. The horseradish meat was of mediocre quality, and charging €17.90 for it is outrageous! The sauce was watered down. If you can recommend anything else, horseradish meat definitely won't!

Good, down-to-earth food that really fills you up.

The food was very tasty, but we had to wait quite a while for our food. The beer garden was also very crowded, so the atmosphere seemed a bit overwhelming. But it would definitely be better another day. The food is definitely highly recommended, as it's also good value for money!

Four of us went out to eat today and had mixed experiences. The Brotzeit-Platter and the Brotzeit-Platter Rustikal were both okay. The schnitzel, on the other hand, wasn't particularly impressive—it was dry and very flat, and didn't seem to be homemade. The potato salad without mayo, however, was again a highlight. The service was very good; our waitress was always friendly and attentive. Overall, it was okay, but with a little more attention to detail in the main courses, it could be even better.

I had the Alsatian flame-grilled schnitzel from the weekly menu. It was generally good, but deep-fried and a bit dry. If deep-fried, it's better to have one thicker schnitzel rather than two thin ones. Or, even better, a signature dish, just a pan-fried schnitzel. A small salad would have been appropriate for the price. Overall, it's a bit pricey, but the food could have been better, and the service was good. The atmosphere is nice. Three stars plus, not far off four.

An absolute must if you want to eat well in Bayreuth. From classic Franconian cuisine to vegan dishes. The beer garden also fits perfectly into the overall concept.

Super delicious and sometimes changing offerings from the kitchen. Tobi, the server, always has a good saying on his lips. He frequently asked if everything was okay without being intrusive. Requests are accommodated. Cold and hot dishes are available here. Many are also vegetarian/vegan, even the sauces. The portion sizes are ideal and the value is very good.

We were there about a month ago and were very satisfied. Yesterday, however, we were extremely dissatisfied. The portions were extremely small. The prices—even for beer—are at the upper limit. The server was uninterested in selling drinks. We were left without food for a very long time, even though it wasn't busy. This isn't going to work.

Very honest, down-to-earth German cuisine. Typical Franconian fare is served here in a somewhat rustic setting. The menu offers a wide selection, and vegetarians won't go hungry either. The service is typically Franconian and warm. The prices are also very fair. An absolute recommendation for anyone looking for typical Franconian cuisine in a casual atmosphere!

A very nice, typical Bayreuth restaurant! I've been here three times in the last two weeks. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't manage to offer a "cheers while your drink arrives" today. But that doesn't detract from the experience. For the winery

Sunday lunch, delicious Franconian dishes and generous portions. The homemade iced tea was also excellent, and the warm nougat cake with vanilla ice cream was a perfect finish.

If you want decent, tasty portions at a fair price, this is the place to go in Bayreuth. It's a bit out of the way from the city center, but it's worth the trip.

Just last Sunday we celebrated my son's communion in the Laus. Starting with the agreements made in advance, through the decoration of the tables and of course the food and service, everything was as we wanted it. It couldn't have been better. Very nice food, a lot of vegetarian options and a very great service. Warm and welcoming place but quit noisy inside and the quality of some product is sometime not the best but in general I would recommend this place especially in summer. The outside area is really nice !

The food itself has always been excellent so far, only yesterday, we ordered schnitzel, cheese spaetzle, etc. I (we) have to say that the food yesterday was unfortunately not that good. The schnitzel was very tasty and had no taste in the cheese spaetzle, was there too much cream and tomatoes? Otherwise it was good maybe the chef changed?

Best place for German Food in the region

The food is delicious, but it's best to make a reservation in advance. By 6 p.m. on Sunday, many dishes were no longer available. But the nice service.

If you want to eat really good Franconian food at reasonable prices, you've come to the right place. Roast trio always works. 😄

Extremely pleasant atmosphere even as the number of guests increases. Reservation is recommended. The cheese spaetzle and dumpling trio, which were served very quickly, were very tasty and very appetizingly prepared. Despite the increasing stress level in the kitchen, the espresso was nice and hot (preheated cup) and the service was very warm and courteous. We will eat here again very soon.

The food there tastes really good. The staff so nice and friendly! Ambience in the back room could be improved e.g. with warm lighting, more comfortable chairs etc. In general a very good restaurant. Accessibility by public transport is also good! Praise again to the staff. Super sweet and helpful

Yesterday we had dinner at Laus. And for the last time!!! The waitress spilled his drink on my husband's jacket. All she said was, it can happen, and didn't even offer help drying the jacket. The food came quickly, but the salad with carrots was stretched with old ones. The fries were dry, as was the schnitzel. The Schäufele wasn't the best in terms of taste either. The crowning glory came with the bill. The waitress simply charged us for the food from the neighboring table. We were even charged 1 euro for the take-away box from the meal without telling us. One star rating is actually too much.

Super tasty food, top service. Great value for money. We reserved a table for 6 people and increased it to 8 people at short notice (3 hours in advance), and it wasn't a problem. Child was having fun 😊. The service was great and unfortunately increasingly rare these days. It wasn't our first visit to the Laus, but it certainly wouldn't be the last either. Keep it up. We are already looking forward to the next time.

An all-round successful stay. After we were canceled two days before our reservation for a large group at another restaurant, we found a place in the Laus. Service super fast and attentive. A huge shelf of games to borrow during their stay was waiting for the children. But it wasn't necessary to bridge the gap. Food was good. The Schäufele, the bread dumpling and the sauerkraut were particularly convincing. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately quite a disappointment. You can't complain about the ambience, cozy beer garden. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing: the schnitzel had no taste, and what felt like 30 fries were thrown on the plate - €15.90 for that, in my opinion, way too much. The sauerbraten sauce and dumplings were okay, unfortunately the meat was dry and hard, which even the additional sauce couldn't save. The drinks also somehow had no real taste, everything was very watery (iced tea, herbal lemonade). You can't complain about the service, friendly and attentive.

Good Franconian cuisine, with a great, reliable delivery service on the weekend that brings dumplings and roasts to your front door at reasonable prices. Even vegetarian dishes and salads are on offer. Class!

Food and service very good and very friendly. We sat outside in the beer garden and enjoyed it. Were there with several adults and two children. The children were also very welcome.

I can highly recommend it. The large beer garden was full, but a side room was opened for us (15 people)👍🏽. I enjoyed a great vegetable curry with coconut and rice, as well as a tasty, refreshing iced tea.

Unfortunately, the operating staff seems to be over-promoted. The whole thing goes around and it takes a long time to order. Beer garden was almost empty (2 tables occupied) and yet cleaning other tables was more important than accepting new orders. QR codes on the tables don't work either. No drinks menu on the tables. It's a shame - although the location is great and the beer tastes good, unfortunately I can't recommend this inn :(

In the beer garden of the Laus, I feel like I'm at home. The food is a real feast, the portions are huge. Christine fulfills every wish, Plates and glasses are filled quickly. The service is like a fairy, And that's why it's not that bad anywhere. Kind regards 🥰 Anton from Tyrol .

The food was excellent and very nicely presented

The food wasn't to our taste. Real Wiener Schnitzel supposedly made from veal, which I doubt. A lot of things come from the deep fryer. Bruschetta, should be left to those who can make it. Way too hard and tasted rancid.

Very, very attentive staff. A sophisticated lunch menu on Sundays, everyone loved it. Now we were there on Sunday evening, service was just as great, but there seems to have been a different chef at the start, the food was a little "different", I would like to put it that way, unfortunately not everyone was so happy. But we'll still come back.

An leeren Tischen stand noch genutztes Geschirr mit Essensresten, die halbe Speisekarte war nicht verfügbar, das Personal war reichlich vorhanden und benahm sich unprofesionell. Das Geschirr von uns wurde trotz weniger Gäste lange nicht abgeräumt. Als endlich jemand abservierte, wurde Salatsosse über meine Hose getropft. Essen war leider nicht besonders...... Wir werden nicht noch einmal dort essen. Im allgemeinen nicht zu empfehlen!

Good traditional cuisine, very tasty food, very good service

Our visit to “Die Laus” was extremely pleasant and positive. The BBQ currywurst was a delight, and the quick service ensured that food and drinks ended up on our table quickly. The cheeseburger could have been a little spicier, but overall we were satisfied with the meal. The only downer was a loudly barking dog, which disturbed the atmosphere a little. However, we were well entertained by the diverse collection of games and the attentive staff ensured that we always felt comfortable. The option to pay by card and the fair price-performance ratio rounded off our positive experience. We'd love to come back!

On Sunday, March 24th, we enjoyed a well-organized confirmation ceremony at the “Die Laus” inn. The dishes offered were well prepared and tasty. The staff was friendly and offered a quick and correct service. Unfortunately there is no parking space, that's the only downside.

Well attended restaurant. The food was good and the service was friendly and attentive. Only parking is a bit difficult due to the location. You're welcome to go there again.

Vegane Gerichte - einfach TOP!! Essen hier super gerne, immer wieder wechselnde vegane Gerichts die wirklich sehr sehr lecker sind. Endlich gutbürgerlich fleischfrei. Gut finden wir auch die nachhaltige Verpackung, wenn wir das Essen zum mitnehmen bestellen. Weiter so und tausend DANK! (Wir kommen Sonntags extra 25 km gefahren wegen euch) <3

Das Ambiente des Gasthauses "die Laus" war perfekt für unsere Geburtstagsfeier mit 40 Gästen. Das Personal war äußerst professionell und freundlich und hat sich sehr gut um unser Wohl gekümmert. Das Essen war einfach köstlich und jeder hat es genossen. Die Auswahl an Speisen war großartig und es war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Die Atmosphäre war gemütlich und einladend und wir fühlten uns rundum wohl. Wir können das Gasthaus "die Laus" nur wärmstens empfehlen und werden sicherlich wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für einen unvergesslichen Abend!

Wir waren am 1. Weinachtsfeiertag da, trotz der vielen Reservierungen ging alles sehr geschmeitigt und reibungslos vonstatten. Die Gerichte waren alle wieder sehr lecker und vor allem auch warm am Tisch angekommen. Die Preise sind etwas höher als regional üblich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Also auch wenn die Einzelsteine keine 5 ergeben würden, muss die Laus einfach 5 Sterne erhalten. Fangen wir mit dem negativen an. Das Ambiente war im Nebenraum nicht so nice. Die sehr helle Beleuchtung hat eher Büro- als Wirtshausatmosphäre geschaffen. Das sieht im Hauptraum aber anders aus, man muss da ein bisschen Glück haben. Alles in allem ist die Laus aber wie ein angenehmes Wirtshaus eingerichtet und das eben nicht außerhalb, sondern mitten in Bayreuth. Deswegen passt das gut. Der Service ist schon echt gut. War halt viel los. Das Essen ist aber der Wahnsinn, dafür geht man hier hin. Hier bekommt man ehrliche Hausmannskost in üppigen Portionen. Der Preis ist jetzt vielleicht nicht so günstig, wie man es aus Gaststätten vom Land kennt, aber das kann man in der Stadt eben auch nicht erwarten. Alles in allem mag ich den Laden und finde das Essen hier ehrlich und lecker.

Service und Bedienung war ganz aufmerksam und freundlich. Aber Preise für Essen und Getränke, vorallem Bier 4,20€ für 0,5l, sind für diese Lage viel zu Hoch!! Da gibt es in Bt und Umgebung Gaststätten mit besseren Preis Leistungsverhältnissen.

Das beste vorn weg....richtig gutes Essen, nur bis es am Platz war vergingen 65 Minuten ohne einen Hinweis darauf, dass es etwas länger dauern kann. Noch dazu kam, das 3 von 3 essen nicht wie bestellt geliefert wurden. Falsche Beilage, falsches Schnitzel und Tomaten / Salat / Soße auf dem Burger, obwohl extra abbestellt wurde. Dazu kommt, dass es dem Service scheinbar egal war, die Essen wurden wieder mitgenommen und neu serviert, aber alles ohne einmal "Entschuldigung" oder ähnliches zu sagen. Nichts, rein gar nichts...man hatte sogar das Gefühl, man hätte es einfach nehmen sollen oder hat selbst den Fehler gemacht. Leider auch sehr kalt in der Lokalität, wir waren nicht die einzigen, denen es etwas zu frisch war. Also wenn es nur aufs Essen ankommt, man viel Zeit hat, kann man sicherlich mal hinschauen. Die Preise sind mittlerweile auch echt nicht mehr ganz ohne, für nen Cheeseburger mit Pommes knapp 16€ ist schon ein Wort.
