Café Kraftraum in Bayreuth

Waren dort heute um zu Bruchen. Leider bin ich etwas enttäuscht. Der Matcha Latte hat leider kaum grüne Farbe und hat zudem nach Spinat geschmeckt… Die Pancakes waren hingegen ganz lecker. Sehr knusprig und mit dem Ahornsirup echt lecker. Jedoch war das Obst dazu etwas wenig bzw. klein/ dünn geschnitten. Die Pfannkuchen sahen auch lecker aus. Probiert habe ich keine. Im Großen und Ganzen kann man hier schonmal ein Käffchen trinken, jedoch würde ich hier nicht wieder Brunchen…

Tolles Lokal, vorallem wenn man gerne auf Fleisch verzichten will. Das Essen ist genial, die Preise absolut fair. Das Ambiente stimmt und das Team ist nett. Was will man mehr? Außerdem wird viel Wert auf Nachhaltigkeit gelegt, das fällt immer wieder positiv auf.

Wir hatten großes Glück, ohne Reservierung, einen Platz im Außenbereich zu bekommen. Unser Frühstück war sehr lecker und die Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Ganz tollen Salat gegessen 😋... Mit warmen Auberginen und Schafskäse... Eine echte Gaumenfreude!

Seit 15 Jahren liebe ich dieses vegetarische und vegane Restaurant. Die Speisekarte ist umfangreich und bietet viele interessante und hochwertige Gerichte. Ich probiere immer wieder etwas Neues. Es gibt eine riesige Auswahl an Getränken und ein tolles Ambiente im Außenbereich. Ihr seid die Besten!

Definitive Empfehlung. Sehr kundenorientiert und zuvorkommend. Das Personal ist unheimlich freundlich und super tierlieb. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt.

Die Einrichtung wirkt zusammengestopselt, aber obwohl nichts zusammenpasst, passt es im Ganzen doch irgendwie. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Der Brunch war sehr schmackhaft, auch wenn alles rein vegetarisch war. Allerdings gibt es keinen Filterkaffee, sondern nur Kaffee mit Ekel-Crema. Deswegen auch keine volle Punktzahl.

UPDATE: Ich hatte gestern eine 10-stündige Zugreise hinter mir und hatte mich wirklich sehr darauf gefreut, sofort nach Ankunft noch vor dem Hotel hier etwas zu essen. Also extra ein teures Taxi genommen... Bei Ankunft dann die Auskunft, dass "die Küche leider gerade geschlossen" habe. Es war noch nicht einmal 21:00 Uhr! Meine wirklich große Enttäuschung stieß bei der Bedienung auf wenig Interesse. Wenn es wirklich gerade erst gewesen wäre, hätte man schon nochmal fragen können, ob ein einfaches Gericht noch machbar ist. Zudem stellt sich die Frage, warum ein Gastronomie-Betrieb, der bis 0 Uhr geöffnet sein soll, mehr als 3 Stunden vorher seine Küche schließt - zumal vor 21:00 Uhr nun wirklich extrem früh ist. Insgesamt hatte auch ich den hier schon von mehreren geäußerten Eindruck, dass der Betreiber zu meinen scheint, sein Ruf sei besser als er im Moment ist und es deshalb wohl nicht mehr so nötig hat. Deshalb also beim Service nur noch ein Punkt. - Bewertung vor einem Jahr: Ein wahrer „Kraftraum“ in jeder Hinsicht! Die vegetarische Speisekarte bietet eine große Auswahl origineller Gerichte, denen lustige Namen gegeben werden. Alles ist dort extrem lecker vom Frühstück bis zum Abend. Die Spätzlegerichte sind deutschlandweit einzigartig gut. Mein Favorit ist das Gericht „Wallie“. Die Einrichtung ist gemütlich, verspielt und modern zugleich. Der angebotene Primitivo (Rotwein) war köstlich und gut verträglich.

Top Service, so gar trotz kleiner Stufe mit Elektro-Rollstuhl erreichbar. Essen sehr lecker. Empfehlenswert.

Ein wirklich schönes Restaurant mit sonnigen Plätzen außen und gemütlichen Ecken innen. Perfekt für Vegetarier. Leider sind die Kaffeespezialitäten nicht gut.

Ein wirklich fantastisches, unglaublich gemütliches Café, in das wir uns sofort verliebt haben. Schon beim Eintreten spürt man die warme, einladende Atmosphäre – perfekt, um kurz dem Alltag zu entfliehen und einfach zu genießen. ☕✨ Besonders begeistert hat uns die außergewöhnliche Kombination aus Chili-Eier-Kakao – klingt überraschend, ist aber geschmacklich einfach ein Traum! Die Aromen harmonieren wunderbar und machen den Besuch zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Ein Ort mit viel Charme, Herz und Liebe zum Detail. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder und können dieses Café nur wärmstens empfehlen. ❤️

Tolle Frühstücksangebote! Wir hatten 'Stöckelschuh' und 'Tölzer Bulle',die waren beide vom Feinsten!! Dazu immer toller Brotkorb mit z.B. Vollkornbrot oder Weizenbrötchen/ -toast. Grosse Auswahl an Heissgetränken (gehn extra). Bedienung sehr freundlich und offen, Extrawünsche zu berücksichtigen. Tip: Am Sonntag ist es ratsam vorher zu reservieren.

Zufällig auf der Durchreise entdeckt. Kann man rundum einfach nur empfehlen. Preis/Leistung sehr fair, Ambiente und Speisekarte originell. Einziges Manko, Inhalt der Speisekarte macht definitiv Appetit, allerdings das anfassen eher nicht.

Leider ein äußerst durchwachsenes Erlebnis. Das meiste Essen, so es trotz vorhandensein auf der Speisekarte auch wirklich da ist, ist durchaus gut. Allerdings ist die "vegane" Variante des Kidsmenues für nudeln mit Käse sauce buchstäblich einfach Nudeln ( was für eine Frechheit) und Nachspeisen sind nur im äußersten Glücksfall überhaupt bestellbar. Bei uns waren 4 von 5 Nachspeisen nicht da.... Aussage von der Chefin, als wir unser Bedauern darüber zum Ausdruck gebracht haben war : "Ist halt so " Danke für die super Antwort. Das Bedienungspersonal war überfordert und hatte buchstäblich keine Ahnung von ihrer eigenen Speisekarte, so dass wir das Personal sogar in ihren Aussagen korrigieren mussten ( das gibts es nicht... Doch sehen sie hier steht es ...). Also eher nicht zu empfehlen, wenn man eine Erwartungshaltung an Personal und Konstanz hat.

Das Essen war hervorragend, allerdings zu einem höheren Preis! Es kann etwas laut werden, daher würde ich es nicht unbedingt für Familien empfehlen, aber insgesamt hatten wir eine tolle Zeit.

Gerne dort - Kuchen ist meist sehr lecker. Käsekuchen war sehr käsig und zugleich knusprig. Toll! Familie ist meist dort vor Ort und genießt den hohen Zulauf (was laut werden kann) und die guten Speisen gern.

Toller Ort! Sehr gemütlich und vegane Optionen vorhanden. Das Frühstück am Wochenende ist sehr empfehlenswert. Getränkekarte sehr bunt, für jeden was dabei.

Sehr Ignorantes Personal, mussten 20 Minuten auf ein Stück Käsekuchen warten, welches lange haare beinhaltete.

Super leckeres Essen, viele vegane Angebote, alles wunderbar. Total nette Mitarbeiter. Wir hatten das Gmüs mit Tofu, war perfekt gewürzt und einfach nur zum reinlegen lecker!

Das Essen war super lecker und richtig gut gewürzt. Man schmeckt, dass hier auf Fertigprodukte verzichtet und stattdessen alles hausgemacht wird - zum Beispiel der Kräuterquark, in denen ich mich hätte reinlegen können. Auch die Sahne in meinem Kakao war frisch aufgeschlagen. Das ist heutzutage leider alles keine Selbstverständlichkeit mehr. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich, aber nicht aufdringlich. Außerdem war es überhaupt kein Problem, meinen Hund mitzubringen. Insgesamt ein echt entspanntes und positives Erlebnis. Hier komme ich auf jeden Fall wieder!

Essen geschmacklich eher mäßig, dazu schlechte Bedienung, die mehr mit sich selbst als mit arbeiten beschäftigt ist.

The food was delicious, the service was okay. It was very busy, and it took a while before we were noticed and paid. The ambiance looks "hip" at first glance, but it's really uncomfortable. I could barely get my legs under the table (I'm 1.97m tall). The person opposite me had to climb over chairs to get to their seat. I wouldn't have been able to reach it at all. Maybe it would be okay in the summer when you can sit outside, but otherwise, probably not. Cool idea, but way too cramped... or rather, the furniture isn't right for the tight design.

I had a cappuccino and scrambled eggs with feta cheese there. Both were very tasty and reasonably priced. Nice, cozy atmosphere.

Increasingly disappointing; the service is unfortunately getting worse and worse. I used to really like Café Kraftfraum; the terrace is lovely in the summer, but the quality of service has really declined. Sometimes you have to wait a very long time… * We once asked for the bill, and after 30 minutes (!) it still hadn't arrived. Then I went to the bar to pay, and even there I had to wait longer. I understand when it's busy, but this was too long. They were constantly taking new orders from guests, but unfortunately, no one took the time to pay. The service is becoming increasingly unfriendly. You're lucky if the staff behind the bar even acknowledge you and maybe even look friendly. * Recently, I wanted a drink to go. Unfortunately, I didn't know that you can only pay by card for amounts over €10. The server was very unfriendly to me because of this. She suggested I round up (essentially tip her) by more than 30% of the price. That's completely unreasonable. Besides, it's apparently possible to pay by card for amounts under €10; it depends on the café's discretion. So nothing was bought; she had made the drink for free.

Breakfast was unfortunately slightly disappointing. Yogurt with fruit was delicious. The orange juice was excellent. But the omelet was a disappointment. It had hardly any seasoning and unfortunately, it simply tasted of nothing. The hot chocolate wasn't particularly good either. Service was friendly. The ambiance was pleasant.

Super delicious! Since they place great emphasis on using high-quality and sustainable products, I think the prices are very reasonable. Ultimately, they're similar to other cafes that take less responsibility of this kind. A mixed clientele of all ages. It's best to make a reservation for breakfast on weekends.

Friendly service and advice with plenty of patience, even for older guests.

The food was very good. There was an occasional wait, but I think that's perfectly normal. From vegan to vegetarian, there's everything here, including dishes made with animal products. The price is a bit high, but that's normal for Bayreuth.

Four of us came. They couldn't manage to serve all four dishes at once. They were also missing ingredients. The kitchen wasn't working particularly well, and the waitresses were consistently overwhelmed.

Only drank coffee and tea but the other guests' food looked very appealing.

I recently visited Café Kraftraum in Bayreuth, a small vegetarian and vegan café located on Sophienstrasse, right in the city center. Overall, it's a nice place if you're looking for authentic vegetarian food in a relaxed setting. It's worth a visit if you're in the area, but I wouldn't make a detour.

Our food was forgotten. That can happen, but the waitress simply said, "You're on your own time and I have to work." It couldn't be more blunt. They were very skimping on the salad dressing, and the tables were quite close together. All in all, very disappointing.

The waitress initially assumed I didn't understand German and spoke to me in broken English—presumably because of my appearance. She just wanted to tell me that the table was reserved : )) It was also noticeable that so many tables were reserved at the same time. For guests who just want a quick coffee, a little more flexibility in the restaurant would be welcome.

Went here for a few drinks to end the night out. It's a fantastic spot on a very lovely street. Was a perfect place to sit and talk and enjoy the night.

Unfortunately, the service wasn't great. Averna and Ramazotti were already closed early Saturday evening.

"Hello, we'd like a table for two." "Do you have a reservation?" "No." "Then not." I've never experienced being turned away like this, even though the outdoor area wasn't full and there were several large tables with only one person sitting at them.

One of the few cafes in Bayreuth. The service was friendly but overbooked. Modern food and drinks. The table next to us arrived at 10:10 and wanted breakfast > breakfast was already sold out (according to the menu until 10:30) Okay, then we'll order a lunch dish > lunch orders only after 10:30 At 10:40, the waiter came and asked for our food order.

Unfriendly waitress. I just wanted a coffee, there were plenty of free tables, and she came back with the excuse that she was alone and couldn't serve inside or outside, so she was sent away! Simply useless for this job!

Cozy café with a lovely outdoor area and indoor seating. Restrooms are a bit small and cramped. Friendly, attentive service; I've only had one negative experience so far. It's particularly busy on weekends, so make a reservation in advance :) Particularly positive: Vegetarian dishes, cakes (some vegan options available), all of which are highly recommended! The coffee tastes delicious, and the price-performance ratio is completely justified. ☺️

Two of us arrived without a reservation. Some of the staff were very nice, others very rude, but the only seats available were in the sun. So we asked if we could pull a table about 2 meters to the side into the shade. We said we were only having breakfast and would then leave. The lady didn't even let me finish and said no, that's absolutely not possible. I asked for understanding again. Unfortunately, no chance. Very sad and very, very disappointed, we moved on. Rude. Never experienced anything like it before.

The food on offer is absolutely positive! I love the pancakes! ❤️ It's also nice that you can sit outside in the sun or shade - whichever you prefer. Points deducted for the decor, which could use a complete overhaul. The restrooms are old, and the furniture has seen better days; everything is quite dark and, unfortunately, not very appealing or modern due to the intentional vintage look. I always sit outside; I don't come at all in the winter because I don't like the ambiance at all. A feast for the eyes 😉 It would also be great if breakfast was available all day, or at least until 2:00 PM. I've already arrived late twice here because I was at the gym beforehand. Otherwise, a gem for Bayreuth with its extensive vegetarian and vegan options ❤️❤️

Update: We went to the gym for breakfast again on Sunday (February 9, 2025) and discovered that the green dwarf (avocado and tomato toast) had been halved – but the price was the same. That's pretty cheeky. Further update: We were there again in April. The prices of the other breakfast options have increased. Breakfast for two is now more expensive, but hot drinks are no longer included. It's unbelievable how quickly the prices here have increased. You have to pay extra for oat milk. The herbal tea is DM's own brand and costs 3.50 per cup. Next time we'll pool our money and have brunch at home.

We've been regular customers at the Bayreuth gym for years. Unfortunately, we experienced the unfriendliness of the guests—from the likely new owners—who actually claimed they couldn't accommodate multiple guests at the same time and apparently didn't even think it necessary to suggest a creative alternative, like coming two hours later or something similar. We usually enjoyed coming to this place with a small group. That's now over for good—a shame, really.

We spontaneously stopped in for breakfast and were surprised by how cute the dining room and menu were. There's something for every breakfast type, and we were very well looked after. The service was very friendly, attentive, quick, and flexible. Everything was freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The dining room and restrooms were very clean. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately, this isn't a proper café. They only serve instant coffee. Anything beyond the classic coffee drinks is unfortunately made with powder and white water.

Waren spontan hier frühstücken, da wir keine Lust hatten auf das Hotelfrühstück. Naja sind dort mit gemischten Meinungen raus. Meiner Freundin hat es geschmeckt, ich fand es Preisleistungsmässig nicht so toll. Das Gemüse beim Ei war zwar sichtbar angebraten, aber kalt (no-go). Preislich auch nicht gerechtfertigt. Die Zusammenstellung ist auch sehr "interessant". Tee auf welchem steht (mit 100 Grad) wird mit ca. 70-80 grad warmen Wasser serviert und dann noch über 4€. Das zieht sich leider durch die gesamte Erfahrung und alle Speisen. Würden nicht nochmals hin.

Fresh, imaginative, cozy. Not cheap. Unfortunately, it also takes a little longer - there are staff shortages everywhere.

We were a bit ignored by the waitress, even though it was only half full, but they were friendly. The food was great, as was the ambience. Mainly without meat, but delicious.

The service has been subpar for years now: today it's a sloppy millennial who the counter worker had to get away from his private phone conversation so that he could be approachable to customers. In contrast to the last visits, where you were assigned a table at the entrance, now "just somewhere without a reservation". After waiting for 10 minutes, I noticed that the other guests had also been waiting for a long time to order or cash in. Then it's better to take a strategic retreat before life passes you by and have an espresso in the cafeteria, where at least the portafilter machine is cleaned regularly.

My go-to alternative to Heimathafen and a really cool place to go to a cafe with friends in the afternoon or evening. Delicious food, good drinks, and plenty of board and card games. So you can definitely spend a long time there. Everything is a bit more expensive, but still highly recommended! Inside, there's a cozy couch corner, or if you're with a lot of people, there are plenty of tables and seating options.

It was my favorite café for a long time, until I had the feeling that the “mistakes” on the bills could no longer be a coincidence. When this was brought up, the owner reacted unfriendly. Bye weight room..

Cool ambiance, slow service, and flavorless food. The place was almost empty. We sat for 15 minutes before the waitresses came to our table, food took 40 minutes to come. We ordered dessert, and 15 min later, we asked for it, and they claimed it was not on the system. Then it took them 10 minutes to bring the cake. We asked to pay right away and the waiter said he would be back soon but it took him 15 more minutes to come back . Don't waste your afternoon.

The Café Kraftraum is a nice little cafe in the alley district of Bayreuth. The food is delicious and fresh, the staff are attentive and friendly. However, it would be nice if you didn't overdo the decoration with sprouts. You should make a reservation on the weekend.

The cheese spaetzle is awesome. Caution: Not for absolute meat freaks!

Great food (on a previous visit), place needs a new coat of paint inside & new chairs. Service unfortunately repeatedly less than inadequate. 5 people in the restaurant & 3 in service, at the entrance you are left standing for 5 minutes without saying hello. Dirty dishes on almost every table. After 15 minutes the coffee was still not at the table. While you're waiting you can at least watch the customers go in, get annoyed and leave again, which is somewhat entertaining.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about it as we only had a very short stay. The waitresses were very friendly.
