Oscar’s Grand Cafe in Münster

I can't comment on the food, as the menu doesn't really offer any. For a wine bar, the look is very cocktail-focused—the menu doesn't excel in either category. It's also a shame that it's so empty—but the concept doesn't seem to quite fit. It's a shame about the lovely ambiance and the prime location.

After the renovation, I wanted to give the place another chance! To my surprise, there's now a new manager. I didn't notice that there had been a change. But I'm feeling very positive. The woman behind the bar is amazing. The cocktail menu is coming out gradually, too! Great conversations, great atmosphere! I'll be back!

Words are the key. Perfect isn't perfect, but after we'd already given the bar another chance after the renovation and were sadly disappointed, we tried again several times following the recommendation of a friend who enthusiastically spoke about the passion of the new management of the place. You might not believe it, but after a warm welcome, two witty remarks, and service like we've never experienced before in Münster, our wasted money of the past decades was almost forgotten. You can tell the will is there, mistakes and requested test runs are communicated clearly, and we're happy to support that with such positive energy and humanity. New regular location!

The antipasti leaves nothing to be desired, but it's not for those with a real appetite. A larger menu would be desirable to keep you going throughout the evening. Unfortunately, this new bar is only suitable for later hours and is only an option for us on the weekend. It's a shame, because by Münster standards, the ambiance and service are unique, and we would come back more often if the food was good.

After the reopening and change of ownership, it's unfortunately no longer what it used to be. The bar has improved, but the rest of the place feels more like a movie theater. The staff seems overwhelmed, even with simple drinks...

Grand is different, and you'd imagine a wine bar to be more civilized. Definitely the wrong place to drink wine. If you like it loud and people flirting, this seems to be more of a good place. Unfortunately, after the reopening, it's been a complete disappointment. Where is this place going? A new concept would have been really good.

Went to the Grand Café for a quick drink. Good thing we had a reservation, it was well attended. There was a relaxed atmosphere, the background noise was pleasant and the ambience is simply great. The interior design is tasteful and something special at the same time. Unfortunately we were there for a very short time, had a Cremont and bread with olives and dips, but these were very tasty and more than recommended. If you want to enjoy an evening in a relaxed atmosphere, with the know-how of the staff, a great selection of drinks and delicious appetizers, this is the right place for you!

The carbonara is absolutely recommended! As a solo traveler you feel very comfortable there.

Unfortunately, the charm and friendliness has really diminished here. I was also extremely disappointed when I ate. There was absolutely no relationship between price and performance. I know it differently from earlier times. After I asked the service person about it, I was met with incomprehension. Nevertheless, the food was taken into the kitchen and a short time later carelessly returned to our table, with the result that a few noodles were subsequently "slapped on". Sorry, but the evening really wasn't fun.

Everything is great, you feel very comfortable there and the food is excellent. Rarely have we had such nice service as here.

Wir hatten unsere Weihnachtsfeier im Grand Café. Das Essen in Buffet Form war sehr lecker und angerichtet und spiegelte die einen Querschnitt der Speisekarte wieder. Ich persönlich fand die ausgeschriebenen Preise an den Tafeln etwas teuer. Sicherlich aufgrund der guten Qualität gerechtfertigt, aber für privat eben doch etwas gehoben. Service und Ambiente waren ebenfalls gut bzw. schön

Wunderbares Restaurant , hat Charme und ist beliebt . Zum Abendessen empfiehlt sich eine Reservierung. Die Gerichte sind köstlich und frisch. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen . Alles stimmig und man merkt das Herzblut des Wirts 😉 Wir kommen gern wieder.

Es macht einfach Spass bei Oscar. Der Service ist immer super und die Stimmung auch. Man trifft immer Bekannte und Freunde

Etwas laut, aber das liegt an den Gästen.

Grundsätzlich toller Laden mit schönem Ambiente und wirklich gutem Essen! Leider fällt mir jedes Mal wieder auf, wie überfordert das Personal ist. Essen wird vergessen, Getränke vergessen und man muss mehrmals darauf aufmerksam machen. Zudem bei unserem letzten Besuch wieder über 1 Stunde auf das Essen gewartet … schade, eigentlich ein so toller Laden, aber so wird es eher keinen weiteren Besuch mehr geben.

Das Essen war kalt und die Portion klein, die Bedienung machte einen unmotivierten Eindruck.

Leider saßen wir zu zweit an einem Stehtisch mit Barhockern direkt an der Tür...an dem Abend war leider zu wenig Personal dort. Sie haben versucht, zu zweit den Laden zu rocken. An einem Freitag Abend unmöglich...zum Glück, kam irgendwann (22.00h) der Chef...leider konnten wir dadurch erst 1½stunden später bestellen und hatten unser Essen erst gegen 21.00h-21.30h...saßen aber schon seit 19.00h. Das Personal war zu jeder Zeit freundlich 🫶🏼...aber leider überfordert

Sehr leckeres Essen und ein netter Personal. Würde immer gerne weiter empfehlen.

Wir wollten nur auf ein Glas Wein kurz reinhuschen und sind nicht nur auf Grund des netten Service zum Essen und mehr Wein geblieben. Echte Empfehlung!

Oscar ist einfach der beste ! Das Essen in der offenen Küche zubereitet schmeckt fantastisch, die Steaks sind auf den Punkt. Hier bekommt man was man bestellt, keine Kompromisse beim Genuss ! Weiter so, Oscar-preisträger

Einer der besten Adressen in Münster. Hier ist der Gast noch König und Gleichzeitig fühlt man sich wie Zuhause. Wir lieben es. Giovanni zaubert auch viele Extrawünsche mit Herz und viel Liebe auf den Teller.

Ich liebe dieses Restaurant. Fein essen in toller Atmosphäre. Eines der besten Restaurants in Münster. Einfach toll :-)
