A pub as we like them, everything is Guinness, traditional Irish cuisine and a whiskey bar with an incredible choice. In an authentic setting of a real pub with wood, leather benches etc...

Fancier than an ordinary working-class Irish bar, doesn't screen live football, but the food is healthier as you expect from an Irish bar in Freiburg

Last time I was there, there was a mouse in the restaurant. I don't know how restaurants are supposed to deal with rodents roaming the customer area legally speaking, but I think sanitary guidelines say they needed to at least remove it and clean up. I told several employees and they all told me "yes we know" or "there's nothing I can do about it" and it just seemed overall very unprofessional and made me sick. I have pictures but posting them here feels a bit incorrect. I really hope you improve this, but not me nor my people will be coming back.

It's a very nice place to sit for drinks and chatting with colleagues or friends! I always dread when I'm invited here for a meal. As a vegetarian I've never been impressed with the food. It's usually just something like a veggie wrap or cooked veggies like eggplant made in the style of fish n chips but with a lot less flavor. Just a bit boring. Maybe consider adding a veggie burger or something with more substance and protein to the menu for vegetarians?

Selection of drinks, such as beers (delicious!) and whiskeys (top), was perfect. The food also tastes very good, can only be recommended. It would be advisable if the service was more motivated with a "sales bonus", because the employees in the service, I guess many of them are temporary workers, do not pay sincere attention to the customers, in every sense: i.e. it then goes on their own Discrimination, with less sales and much smaller tips.

Super cozy pub, delicious food and very nice and authentic service (sometimes you order in English :) There is a fun PubQuiz on Mondays and the brunch on Saturday is also highly recommended (we had the Veggie Irish Breakfast) The pumpkin gratin is highly (!) recommended. Super delicious :) Central location near the university with a parking garage in front of the door. Always welcome, cheers

Always a nice place to go for a few drinks. The outside area is good but fills up very quickly. Decorated nicely inside. There is a section where you can play cards and games. Service could do with a bit of an improvement. Good prices for drinks. The avocado wedges are always very good.

Little selection of vegetarian burgers. Otherwise very tasty food and lots of options. The service was very nice. We were allowed to take our dog with us, the staff was very accommodating!

Everything you would expect in an Irish pub is there. Drinks and good food, friendly and attentive service, cozy decor and of course quizzes on Mondays.

Gabz cool, unfortunately the pub quiz is at a too high level.. it would be cool if more people with an IQ similar to mine would play..

The burger was overdone, but all the rest was perfect

Service was courteous, friendly and on the ball, simply wonderful! The ambience is very nice and stylish and invites you to linger! Food was absolutely great (both had the Spicey and Smokey burgers)! And when it comes to alcohol and beer, all I can say is an absolutely great selection and offer! On the whole, just have a nice drink, eat well and sit in a nice atmosphere. I can recommend it to others with a clear conscience!

Everything was great, a great whiskey offer

Irish pub feeling in the middle of Freiburg, top service with mainly English-speaking staff (German is also possible ;)). We regularly go to the pub quiz on Monday evenings, but also every now and then for brunch or a delicious beer or whiskey. There are typical pub dishes, both with meat and vegetarian/vegan.

Cozy shop with a good atmosphere and good food.

Irish bar in the center of Freiburg, lots of beers to choose from, both from the stick and from the bottle. Food is also served, I ordered fish & chips and it was absolutely ok. The service was quite fast and efficient, even for a Friday evening. As it turned out, one of the ladies was Polish - a pleasant surprise 😉

Finally good music in a pub again, thanks for the Pumpkins 😘. And thanks for the fish and chips and also the eggplant version Both very tasty.

We were spontaneously in Freiburg and Oscar Wilde's is an absolute vibe! Great music, super nice decoration and nice staff! Definite recommendation as a Freiburg local.

The selection of whiskey including a menu with detailed descriptions is enormous.

We had the club sandwich and the smokey burger. I don't know what coleslaw is doing at the club. Otherwise a great dish. The bun of the burger was not toasted. Reaction from the cook: Rolls are bought baked. 😏

A classic Irish pub with good drinks, nice music and an overall great atmosphere! We were on a week trip here and we had a drink almost every evening because of how nice it was :)

Unfortunately I seem to have had a bad day. The waitress didn't speak a word of German. We ordered two drinks (a beer and a Spezi) and had to wait ten minutes for them (on a Thursday). In the end, I also found the waitress to be unprofessional because she took the drinks without saying a word (whether we were finished, whether everything was good, whether we wanted anything else). The Guinness we ordered arrived warm. The prices were ok, especially for the location. The atmosphere in particular was pleasant.

We were here after a warm day and had a drink. Great location overlooking a stream - very cozy. Service also good. Recommended!

The burgers are great. The service attentive and quick. Everything perfect.

Very friendly atmosphere in this completely Irish pub. It's certainly not the cuisine of crazy gourmets, but my fish and chips tasted so good! Here, even though German is well used, English has a "so Irish" sound. It was a very pleasant stopover even if the cards are also beer-flavored ;-).

Where to begin. Service is sincere and welcoming. The food is amazing and they have fantastic vegan food as well. I had the buffalo wings and my vegan significant other had the cauliflower wings and vegan burger. Everything was super tasty. The service was quick as well and the seating options are plentiful outside and inside.

Ordered Lagavulin 16. Upon receipt I asked again: “Is this the Lagavulin 16?” Waiter looks around at the bartender: “Is that the Lagavulin 16?” Bartender: "That's the Lagavulin 16!" Nose: No smoke, no peat, no complexity. Went to the bartender: "I ordered a Lagavulin 16, this is definitely not one." Bartender: "I must have mixed up the bottle!" Conclusion: Be careful when ordering whiskey!!!

The food was surprisingly tasty, I had the Fresh Fish'n Chips. Plus a few fresh Kilkenny on tap in a cozy atmosphere and with friendly service, what more could you want?

Oscar Wilde's is an Irish pub as you know it. What was particularly positive was the large selection of drinks and the great selection of food options. Also for vegetarians and vegans. We had the buffalo wings and the mac and cheese - super delicious! The only small drawback was that you always had to draw attention to yourself in order to be served. Otherwise everything was great.

Good beer, delicious burger, service attentive but a bit clumsy: If I discovered that I had been brought the wrong beer, I would like to just get a new one instead of being told that it was the right one - after all, I tried it and know what it tastes like 😉

Authentic Irish pub, we had good drinks and delicious pub food, but above all a good time. Highly recommended when visiting Freiburg.

Service, yeah. Waited forever for food. Neighboring tables were served first even though they arrived 20 minutes later. Nothing for quick hunger. I can't rate the food, I'm still waiting.

Great food we had spare ribs with onion rings and salad. Were very tasty. It's best to make a reservation if you want to go out for dinner on a nice, warm Saturday evening. The Amaretto Sour and the IPAs were very tasty.

Good, classic pub food in great variations. Vegan fish and chips, vegetarian and vegan full Irish breakfast The burgers are amazing, and special requests are accommodated whenever possible. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is cozy, the whiskey selection is great, even those who like gin will get their money's worth. Breakfast on Saturday/Sunday is always worth it!

You don't feel welcome here... Cozy shed, prices not the cheapest. Unfortunately, there are two stars for the unfriendly service, which is a bit harsh in tone and rudely pointed out to us that the shop was closing with the following words: “It closes at a quarter to 12”. Two small side notes: It was only twenty past 11 and what's more, there's a big sign on the board at the entrance that says it's open until 12 p.m.... There were also no more cocktails and hot drinks at half past ten.

Very large, cool Irish pub with a lot of selection of special drinks and whiskey. Very crowded and very loud on the weekend. We thought it was great with you!

My goal is to try everything on the menu. So far, everything I've had has been excellent. They have a nice, refreshingly different selection of beers, in addition to he usual ones.

Very authentic. Lively, international guests. A melting pot of cross-border good humor - especially the staff. And a Guinness...

Quite good service, very good selection of drinks, the prices here are also okay. The food is somewhat okay, but the prices are almost crazy for the quality of the food! This applies to everything our group ate here, but especially the vegan options. Pub quizzes and drinks here are worthwhile, but eating is not recommended.

I think the atmosphere is very nice, I only ate one dish from the menu and it was okay, nothing special. The service was a bit slow but they were friendly. Since I worked in service for a long time myself, I am also very strict. All in all, I definitely want to go back soon and can recommend it!

Wir waren heute zum Frühstücken im OW's und es war sagenhaft gut. Ich empfehle an dieser Stelle das Full Irish Breakfast, riesige Portion und super mega lecker. Tolle Location, sehr nettes & flinkes Serviceteam und rundum zu empfehlen. Gerne wieder :-) Update Januar 2024: es ist immer noch großartig.

Sehr zu empfehlen ist das Bier "Jamie's" vom Braukollektiv, ein Red Ale.mit prominenten Bitternoten. Dazu passen hervorragend Fish and Chips mit Essig.

Tolles Pub mit sehr gutem Essen, leckeren Drinks und sehr freundlichen Personal. Jegliches Essen, welches wir hatten, war sensationell. Sie Spareribs ein Traum. Dazu ein tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder mal.

Super Ambiente, nette Kellner, leckere Cocktails und Drinks! Unbedingt hier einen Burger oder ein Sandwich essen gehen!

Die Bedienungen waren sehr nett, und die Sandwiches und Getränke waren sehr gut. Allerdings sollte man die Pute auf den Sandwiches viel dünner schneiden.

Ein netter Irish Pub. Mit einer Sehr schönen Whiskey Karte und Leckerem Bier. Abiente und Service sink Ok aber nichts besonderes. Alles in allem gut aber für einen excelenten pup fehlt ein bisschen die persönliche Note.

Ein echt cooler und authentischer irish-Burger-Laden. Das Essen schmeckt echt gut und das Personal ist einfach nice! Preislich sind sie nicht günstig aber, das müssen die auch nicht. Schmeckt wirklich sehr gut!

Schönes Pub. Das wöchentliche Pubquiz macht sehr viel Spass. Punktabzug für die unbequemen Sitze/ Stühle und ich empfinde es als laut.

Overcrowded but a nice place. We had good food (a nice fish and chips!) and we appreciated 2 whiskeys. They have a huge selection and the guy who served us helped us in the selection.
