We arrived later in the evening and received a very friendly welcome and service. The drinks selection is really extensive, with something for everyone. The food at the neighboring tables also looked very appealing, but we were only there for drinks.

This pub is exactly what I imagine when I think of an Irish pub. I didn't order food but it looks amazing and I heard great things about it.

Prices have gone up again, €17 for a burger...simply crazy. Otherwise, the quality is very good.

This is a nice place with decent bar food, and a good place to watch sports, nice staff too. The chile con carne burger was very satisfying, and the chicken wings were honestly excellent. I'd definitely come back if I'm in town again.

what a cool Irish Pub,Walked by today and there were a Pipe band inside practicing - so we decided to come Back later for some food which was delicious .Originally WE came to watch Rugby but it was in Oscar Wilde's - also a great afternoon ,beustiful bar . We will BE Back die the good abd craic again .

Weil wir für die Abrechnung eine auf uns ausgestellte Rechnung benötigen, habe ich schon 3x hingeschrieben und bekomme seit Tagen keinerlei Antwort. An das Telefon geht auch keiner. Total unprofessionell. Also lieber nur privat für ein Bier hingehen. Für Business Event unbrauchbar

Unfortunately, the tables were dirty and sticky. Otherwise, the ambiance suited the place, but that was it. The service was friendly, but nothing more. The burger was great and the fries were okay. Unfortunately, the chicken was very dry, with hardly any meat on it. You can go, but you don't have to.

I went to an Irish pub for a quiz night. We were the melting pots and came 13th; our prize was a bottle of champagne. The funny thing about it was that the Irish pub barely had enough champagne glasses for us to share, but that probably speaks volumes about the pub's authenticity :). This wasn't my first Irish pub, but it was my first time at O'Kellys. I don't know if it's always this busy, but as a regular visitor, you'd have no chance of getting a table on a quiz night. I suspect that the quiz groups make reservations or arrive an hour or two in advance. The atmosphere is worthy of an Irish pub. You can feel the Irish flair everywhere, from the service to the beer menu. The prices, I'd say, are in line with Irish pub norms if you compare them to a real Irish pub—in Ireland, you'd have to say they're cheap ;). The questions in the pub quiz were really tough. Especially the question of what lesbians actually export. WOW, who could ever guess that this is the island of Lesbos and its inhabitants! Unfortunately, I can't rate the food, as I didn't have a chance to eat anything because of the exciting quiz. Otherwise, the service and the atmosphere were all very good, very harmonious and welcoming. If you close your eyes, you'd feel a little piece of Ireland inside you.

The food is good. Drinks are expensive. Quiz night on Mondays is fun, but there's too much time and the scoring takes too long, which encourages some participants to google...

Whether it's bingo, a quiz, or just for fun, it's always fun! Great, extensive menu and always a special. Super friendly people and fantastic food! The only downside: Unfortunately, reservations aren't available. Other than that, it's one of our highlights in Freiburg!

When I was studying there, O'Kellys was a TOP place to dine while watching, for example, a football game. Very good atmosphere, delicious burgers and good beer. You couldn't ask for more, it's a very good place at what it does.

I recently visited O’Kelley’s again with colleagues. In my personal opinion it is the best bar in Freiburg. There's almost always a great atmosphere, the service is friendly and the drinks are of course great. Now, for once, we wanted to eat something real, as we had previously been enthusiastic about the finger food - the fries and the wings are great, really recommended. Since I always want to try something bigger and new, the Godfather Burger caught my eye the first time I went to the pub. The price is a bit expensive, but it also promises to fall. The colleagues chose smaller ones - twice the BBQ burger and once the one with bacon. The colleague who served us was extremely friendly and the first meal came quickly. It was all burgers except mine. Since I was hungry, I tried them too - I think they were both the best burgers I know in the price segment and above in Freiburg. Then mine came - it was already a bit cold at the moment and was severely lacking in sauce. Also the top bun was quite cold and somehow wet. So overall not the most pleasant feeling. Since the place was full and the wait staff was busy, I decided to eat it. Overall it just felt like a bad Big Mac for 10 times the price. I wanted to intercept my colleague during the meal and just point out to her that this was the case and that next time we should pay more attention - not to get me a new burger. However, I couldn't really speak to any of the employees because they were otherwise busy and just ran past us, so I let it go. As a note, the others enjoyed it really well... Now my honest opinion about it. O Kelley’s is and remains Freiburg’s best bar, even after my unfortunately negative experience with the food. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant and, above all, the Mondays with the quiz evenings are fun (greetings go out - Till Schweiger is always the solution). I am aware that the employees and probably also the kitchen were very busy - I have been working there myself for years Gastronomy and can fully understand it. Even as a returning customer, I know the pub and the “stressful” situation all too well. So overall I understand why errors sometimes occur. I would like to give the Godfather a new chance and would also like to change the rating, so I'll have to see if I might try it again next year - only the burger isn't exactly the cheapest right now, to just say that and a new one I wouldn't like to give myself "grab in the toilet" (sry, but unfortunately that was my experience) for around €40 again, so I'll see if I can do it again. But as a note - I suspect (and hope) that you will have a different experience than I did. Mistakes happen, and at O ​​Kelley’s they are rare (and never with the drinks). I would definitely recommend the bar. I wish everyone a happy new year!!!

Best pub in Freiburg! The staff, including the owner, are very friendly and authentic. I've been a regular for over 10 years and the food has improved significantly in the last few years! You can now eat delicious burgers and wraps there. The atmosphere is great, especially when watching football. The quiz night is also highly recommended!

O’Kellys is a great pub. BUT. The highlight is really Axel. He is the most kind and engaging server. I really felt like family the whole time I was there. Thank you so much for your hospitality, Axel! We will be back soon :)

Actually a very good Irish pub. Prices are sporty but think that is common for an Irish pub. Still, super cool atmosphere, you can watch sports here really well and it seems to be very well attended.

The staff and the atmosphere was nice but I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend the burgers there. They are as well quite overpriced.

We stopped here by chance on our first short vacation together. It was a football/soccer evening and we were lucky to get a spot. But there's clearly a reason for that, because the conditions are super friendly and despite it being so busy, we didn't really have to wait for drinks or food. We both chose burgers and really loved the quality and taste. Maybe I'm biased, but I wasn't expecting this from a simple Irish pub. If you really, REALLY want to eat good burgers, you shouldn't go past this pub. We'll definitely be back.

I've been going to O' Kellys for a long time. Sometimes with friends, sometimes with family when she visits. I think it's always suitable if you just want to have a relaxing evening. The special days (Monday pub quiz, Thursday bingo) are also worth a visit. Delicious food, good beer and nice staff are standard. Even if something is ordered incorrectly from time to time, we can always find a common solution. I think that is much more important than a seemingly flawless service. And be sure to ask about special meals, as the team always comes up with something new.

The food is very good, but the service and service are not particularly worth mentioning. Beer was poured down my back and down my coat. If you like Wings with Buffalo sauce, this is your best bet in Freiburg. I believe that the wing sauce they use is Frank's wing sauce! The only negative aspect is that they don't offer blue cheese on the side but they do have a dill dipping sauce that is ok considering its not an American kitchen. Great, welcoming staff. Fair prices.

We always love going to the local Irish pub. This one was as good as they get, the staff were great, as was the atmosphere. We only went for drinks.

We were craving a burger and the reviews were good so we went in. Since there was a Freiburg game, the pup was packed. Accordingly, also loud. The food was really very good and the size was such that even a good person would be full. The drinks were well chilled and the evening was really fun.

Mi esposa y yo visitamos durante la Eurocopa 2024 y la oferta de cerveza de jarra fue fantástica, 12 euros para una fantástica cerveza alemana Pils lager. Excelentes vistas de múltiples pantallas con el balón encendido, servicio impecable. No comimos aquí, así que no puedo comentar sobre la comida, pero un montón de gente a nuestro alrededor era y el tamaño de la porción parecía generoso.
