Incredibly nice, attentive and helpful, young waiters, cozy atmosphere and very tasty sweet potato fries

I'm currently in Bad Säckingen for a course and ate here with other participants. From the ambiance to the service to the food, everything was absolutely fantastic! The servers regularly visit the table, check if everything is okay, and take empty glasses away. They also regularly ask if anything else is needed. At the end, we were treated to a limoncello on the house. We were all very impressed! This was definitely not the last time we ate here. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

This Monday afternoon, we ordered two hamburgers from you and specifically requested a side of pasta instead of fries. This request was repeatedly confirmed by the server. Instead, however, we received two hamburgers plus a large portion of spaghetti. When we asked, we were simply told, "Yes, sorry, you can take it with you." We would like to express our astonishment at this point. Our request was not fulfilled, and the proposed solution seemed neither customer-oriented nor professional. We have been coming here very often for years when we are in the area. I don't know if we will come back.

We like this restaurant a lot. We have here relatively pften. The last time we found out that it was still open after most other restaurants were already closed. Of course we stopped there and enjoyed again.

Everything is prepared with local ingredients and lots of love – juicy burgers with perfect sauce, pasta just like in Italy, and the legendary Florida salad with chicken and fruit are absolute highlights. The house-made salad dressing is a dream! Cozy ambiance, both inside and out, and a super-friendly team. Unbeatable value for money – if you want to eat well in Bad Säckingen, you have to go to Oscars.

The other people's burgers were apparently incredibly good, the fries were okay, and the fried potatoes were very tasty. The schnitzel was, well, just overcooked and looked like a schnitzel from a deep fryer. Service was chaotic, even during the week. You had to wait a long time for someone to come even to place your order. The wrong food was also brought to you, and the waiters seemed confused. But if you want a good burger, this is the place to go.

We were at Oscars for the first time today. Sat outside on the terrace for breakfast. Lovely ambiance and delicious food. The service was very friendly, but unfortunately somewhat disorganized and chaotic. Not only were the wrong things brought to our table, but they also forgot the rolls at breakfast and only received them after asking for them. The plates at the neighboring table were forgotten, so they couldn't start eating. Drinks weren't even brought because they were forgotten. So, there's definitely room for improvement. This should be worked on!

The food is of a very high standard, and the service is very attentive. It's worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.

The food was a disaster. There was hardly any choice, the rolls weren't even baked, but practically raw. The waiters were completely unfocused. They delivered almost every meal to the wrong table. We had to wait 50 minutes for the food to arrive, and then half the food was missing or brought out incorrectly. Never again.

The restaurant is very good and beautifully decorated. What I don't like so much is the location right next to the train station. Therefore, I deducted one star for the ambiance. The food is excellent, and the service is always friendly.

What absolutely disappointed me was the lack of information about the kitchen's opening hours – there was nothing about it on the website or on Google. After a three-hour journey from Switzerland, with a deliberately planned stop at this restaurant, I was extremely disappointed: the kitchen was already closed. Instead of showing understanding, we were suggested to eat something from the train station snack bar across the street. Aside from the fact that this suggestion demeans the restaurant itself, it's simply disappointing to treat guests like this. Had they known that the kitchen wasn't open all day, they could have saved themselves the detour and the anticipation. Experiences like this are what permanently lose guests. A simple update of the online information could have prevented all this frustration. What a shame – we definitely won't be coming back.

I ordered the Swiss Deluxe Burger and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The salad was good, and I got a bun as a starter since my meal had to be prepared first. I would definitely recommend it or come back. The only problem was that I didn't have room for dessert, but I'll try the tiramisu dessert next time.

Baden asparagus (3 pieces) with two types of ham (2 small scraps of ham), hollandaise sauce (unsalted, almost certainly purchased), and baby potatoes (no salt). Two of the asparagus were borderline woody, and one of them was only edible at the tip because it wasn't peeled. The waitress said she'd pass it on to the kitchen, and then? Nothing! Please pay – the full amount of €24.50. No "sorry," no "may we get you something?" The best example of how restaurateurs destroy themselves. Nevertheless, all the best to Oscars for the future, without me/us!

We were there for lunch today. The food was ok, had Tagliata di Manzo 2x and beef salad. The meat was well prepared. What we didn't like was the friendly but not attentive service. I noticed that the wrong order arrived at the next table. As I said, the service is friendly and tried hard but not professional. You are also very busy with yourself. Walk through x times without looking at the guests. After dinner I wanted to order an espresso. Waitresses walked past me x times but no one saw me. After about 10 minutes I was noticed. Ordered espresso but it didn't come. Afterwards a waiter asked if everything was okay, which I replied in the affirmative and said that I was still waiting for my espresso. After another 5 minutes I told a waitress again and then I got the espresso. Dear owner. Great restaurant with good food but the staff seems unprofessional and there is a bit of chaos. Believe me, that costs sales and certain guests no longer come. So either train. I saw the waiter behind the bar on his cell phone x times. Maybe it wasn't the right day, but the restaurant was half full. We don't know yet if we'll go back

We have eaten here many times. The last time was a few days ago. The team is always super friendly and accommodating. The service staff spread a good mood and give good recommendations. The food is delicious. However, some dishes, such as salads, are very overpriced and unfortunately not worth the price. If you would like to eat other dishes such as burgers, we can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

My wife and I eat at this restaurant regularly. The food is really great, but unfortunately the burger quality is not always the same. The salad is very good, and the burger version with Beyond Meat is to die for. However, I find €4.90 for a cola disproportionate.

I came to this restaurant specifically to try baked potatoes. I ordered it with Salmon and shrimp. I didn't like this dish. A few pieces of salmon, no shrimp at all. There was one spinach, peppers, mushrooms and it all swam in mayonnaise. I will come to this restaurant again, but I do not recommend this dish.

Have eaten there 3 times now. 2x buffet and 1x à la carte and was so semi-satisfied every time. The buffet is so-so. Not very seasoned, the salmon was super oily and yet already dried out, the bacon was anything but crispy. The cappuccino tastes like warm milk that has run past the coffee. After you have ordered once, the service tends to ignore you and when you are allowed to order something more to drink, the employees unfortunately seem quite annoyed. For the à la carte - the taste was ok, but it could have been a little more seasoned. Unfortunately I received a completely different meal than I ordered. But since that would have been my second choice anyway, I could live with it. All in all, the third visit was probably the last. There are significantly better options in the city that are more attractive in terms of price-performance ratio.

We were in the restaurant for the first time. When we ordered drinks, one of the waitresses threw the saucer on the table and wasn't friendly. The salads had too much sauce on them, the main course was quite good. I didn't finish my portion completely and wanted to have it wrapped up (same waitress as with the drinks). She then threw the packed food back on the table. But all the other waiters and waitresses were very quick and friendly.

Unfortunately there is a lack of basic cooking knowledge here. My schnitzel looked like a Pirelli tire - completely destroyed and punctured from using the wrong side of the meat hammer. It's unbelievable that something like this still exists today with all the cooking shows... Instead of the meat, the breading was seasoned, and the sauces and side dishes were mostly convenience foods. Service partly semi-friendly, partly disinterested. Sitting on the front steps and puffing with your cell phone in your hand is just not possible. As is unfortunately all too often the case, no professionalism.

The restaurant is very popular and the concept clearly stands out from the rest of the restaurants in town. The ambience and decoration are very cozy and lovingly arranged. The menu is supplemented with a seasonal offering. I had the energy bowl with salmon and it tasted very good. The salmon was cooked just right, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The staff is friendly - thank you very much for everything!
