Very good kebab, very fresh, homemade flatbread and the kebab meat was very tasty. Can only be recommended

I used to like coming here because for me it was one of the better kebab shops in Cologne. Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated a bit the last few times, but today the kebab totally disappointed me. The bread was soggy, my meat was cold and overall not seasoned enough.… I was also annoyed that the people who ordered after me were served before me.

We were there this evening after a busy day. Full of anticipation, we tensely joined the queue that stretched all the way to the street and looked forward to our kebab - the joy was too early. After about 30 minutes it was our turn and we both took a kebab XL for €11.5, as I said, a long day. After the first bite, we got the terrible news - the kebab fell far short of our expectations. The meat - too dry and tasteless. The bread - she tasted it from the Turkish supermarket around the corner. The salad - absolutely not fresh. All in all a total disappointment and NOT recommended

Unfortunately, the kebab I bought here has deteriorated a lot recently. The price of 8.50 euros is outrageously high, especially when you consider the quality. The meat was dry, the bread wasn't fresh, and the sauce was just plain disgusting. The overall taste was disappointing, and it was definitely the last time I was here. I used to enjoy staying here, but now the price-performance ratio is no longer right. Definitely won't be coming back.

This is no more than a standard kebab (veal), the price of €8.50 is totally excessive and, in my opinion, not justified. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here. The kebab, I have to be honest, didn't taste good, the fact that some YouTube or kebab influencers exaggerate so much is probably because they didn't have to pay a cent for the advertising! There are much better places for a kebab in Cologne!

Due to the huge hype surrounding the place, we decided to eat there out of curiosity. Honestly, I don't know if we just had a bad day or if this is the norm. My conclusion: The kebab is well below average. Something like this can only be exciting if you have had a good party beforehand and are only interested in getting something in your stomach quickly. I really don't understand how people can praise it so much - have they never tried a really good kebab before? I would only recommend the store to someone I absolutely dislike! The 2 stars go to the old man, the owner who still takes care of the cleanliness of the outside tables and unfortunately handed the business over to his son. As of: September 7th, 2024 *Hunger makes eating a necessity, while appetite makes it a pleasure.*

A rather average kebab shop. What speaks for it? The skewers are homemade and the bread is freshly baked. The staff is average friendly. Otherwise the store is clean. It's also nice that the finished plates are cleared away. By the way, with a large kebab you get half a flatbread! Now what speaks against it? Well, the veal kebab is a minced skewer. That's more of a matter of taste, but not a con. What really speaks against the store is that there is actually a “show” effect. Various YouTubers actually prepared kebabs that not everyone gets. Basically, you should be able to assume that the kebab contains all the ingredients that you don't want when ordering from Uber. In fact, half of the ingredients were simply missing. That's really not nice! This has happened to me several times on UberEats and in person. Requests made to UberEats were also not taken into account. The only remark: I wanted pure meat, but I only got limp meat. That really doesn't work. Then simply cross out this field!

Best kebab in the world! Direct service, day and night. Definitely with pomegranate sauce. Living the dream!

Absolutely fantastic kebab. I don't think any normal-sized kebab has ever filled me up as much as it did here. Layered meat and bread are fresh and the ingredients are also great.

My wife and I hit the store on October 7, 24 at 4:45 p.m. It smelled so delicious!!!! We each ordered a kebab and a few fries. The meat. First cream!! Why? I put it myself, seasoned it, cut it and I give it A++! Plus the bread, they have a baker who doesn't do anything else all day, just bake! But wait!! The LAHMACUN!! My favorite dish number 8 out of 237... fresh!!🤯🤯 it is made fresh! The topping is homemade and the dough too!!! People! FRESH!!! NOTHING ABOUT THE SUPERMARKET HERE WHERE JUST GARBAGE IS SOLD, LAAK FRESH!!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND?????? They bake them fresh in front of you!!! Dude, you can't tell anyone that... so delicious and so beautiful...🥹🥹🥹 I had pee in my eyes, that's so beautiful. In 90 cases, you will get one from the factory and never fresh!!! That's just snot!! My recommendation, have one made, just put fresh parsley and mint on it and some lemon with spicy powder (if you like spicy) Try this version Lahmacun and say thank you Abi! The man who prepares the kebab at the end is not very familiar with the topic of hygiene. He wiped the sweat from his face several times and touched the kebab bread immediately afterwards. There were about 6 people in front of us and I didn't even see him wash his hands. Otherwise everyone was super nice. You should perhaps point out to the young gentlemen that hygiene is just as important in a snack bar as it is in a restaurant.

I've been to many kebab shops, but Oruc Kebab beats them all! The staff are incredibly warm and make you feel like a friend. The service is simply top. And then the food – absolutely top class! The quality of the ingredients is perfect, everything is fresh and prepared with a lot of love. No matter whether it's kebab, falafel or the other dishes, it always tastes great. If you're looking for a really good kebab, you should definitely stop by here!

You liked the doner, but the buttermilk was sour, it would be nice if they changed the buttermilk, enjoy your meal.

After changing locations, it went from being one of the best Donners in Köln to being the best flavorless Donners in Köln.

This was by far the worst kebab I've ever had. The meat was cut far too thick and had absolutely no taste. The vegetables were cut completely carelessly. The sauces had no power and the bread was also a disaster. My criticism was very well received by the staff, but I will never visit this store again.

If you're looking for a kebab with a lot of love in Cologne, you can't avoid Oruc. Definitely one of the best, although not the cheapest.

I visited on the recommendation of the reviews and I must say that the kebabs are absolutely amazing. Definitely one of the best. I especially recommend their dürum flatbread, which, compared to the competition, was literally taken out of the oven, just baked and beautifully warm. Cool! EDIT: I recently visited with friends, we tested 12 kebabs in the city over the weekend and we all agreed that this one is one of the best. And especially the taste of their lamb, which is absolutely exceptional! I can definitely recommend and will be back.

Just been there and never again!! For 8.50 there is no meat at all and a real standard kebab. You can eat if you walk past there on Rille, that's all.. but it's definitely not worth going there. Eat in your area and you won't notice any difference!

I recently bought 3 Dürüm for 29.50 euros, there was hardly any kebab meat in them and the meat that was in them didn't taste good either. The Dürüm were overflowing with salad. The sauce didn't taste good either, it was as thin as water. Too bad

Well... the bread seems to be homemade, but it's way too thick and fluffy, so it tastes a lot like hamburger buns. The hot sauce wasn't spicy and there was very little tzatziki in it either. Vegetables fresh, but very roughly chopped. Meat was okay. I've definitely eaten much better kebabs.

Many YouTubers have advertised this shop - of course you can argue about taste - but unfortunately it's just a standard kebab: I have to say, there was enough meat in the sandwich - you couldn't complain about the amount, but the taste didn't blow us away. You couldn't taste the sauces much. The bread was good - homemade. Price/performance ratio rather below average. You can do it, you don't have to do it.

The bread and marinated meat are homemade and are very good. The choice of accompaniments is great. The prices are more than reasonable. The team is very nice.

Is and remains the best left of the Rhine. Haven't been there for a while now, but delicious as always. Prices have been adjusted. Had to swallow at first, but OK. Everything freshly made as always. Therefore value for money is completely okay.

The meat of the kebab is very fatty. You can tell it's homemade. The bread, on the other hand, was of a good standard, the salad wasn't particularly tasty, and it didn't taste anything special. The portion of kebab for 8.50 euros was small and there was hardly any meat in it. The shop is in a side street and is a bit small. Service not particularly friendly. You can do it, but you don't have to.

Both the chicken and the veal kebab taste really delicious. There was a decent portion of meat, but not so much that the meat was too prominent. The meat and salad were perfectly distributed so I could enjoy the kebab. The employees are very friendly and personable. In my opinion you have a very good taste in music. Songs by Ashanti and Cassie, for example, are played, which I really liked. I can only recommend Oruç Kebap, I will definitely come back.

Caution! Stingy with meat! People drive hundreds of kilometers to eat a “popular” or “the best kebab from Cologne”. When I arrived at the store, I immediately noticed that one person was mainly responsible for cutting the kebab skewer and filling the kebab. Another person right next to him then accepted the customer's wishes about what should go into the kebab. So far so good. Before it was my turn, I was able to witness this process twice as an eyewitness, especially the filling of the kebab with meat from the old man. He took so much time that he kept taking the meat in and out, as if the kebab was supposed to be a work of art. At the beginning I thought that the old man works very carefully. When it was my turn, the same procedure, I thought to myself, wow, he's putting in so much meat... Then I got the kebab and realized that I hadn't bitten off any pieces of meat on the first, second and third bite; only bread and salad. I slowly realized that the old man was so meticulous and stingy with the meat that he put as little meat as possible in the kebab and tried to distribute the meat in such a way (by putting it in and out) that it felt like "a lot " looks. In the end I only have the thick bread to bite into... Honestly, for 8.50 EUR I expect a lot more meat! For bread and salad 8.50 is a disgrace. I wasn't really full either... It should also be mentioned that tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce are in the same bowl, you can't differentiate between them, really sad. Salad didn't taste like anything. It is also impossible to find a parking space nearby. Had to look for a parking space for more than fifteen minutes. All in one, one of the worst kebab experiences! Expected a lot, got little (in the truest sense of the word)!

Simply delicious, honestly delicious without “Berlin sauces blaaa” Delivery was very good, portions and quality = yes, man. Thanks. So… I haven’t eaten such an “honest” Dürüm kebab and Fallafel sandwich for a very long time. Lahmacun was freshly homemade, but I was missing a bit of “oomph”. Thank you very much and see you soon.

Bread too thick, kebab too dry, tzatziki only tasted like water, meat had no taste, and that at a price of €11.5 (doner + drink). There was also no toilet, which is an absolute no-go for me! Can't understand the hype. Am very disappointed.

I drove all the way from Aachen for Holle and was disappointed in the sense that I expected much more. The meat is very tasty, but unfortunately without any crispiness. Rice was at most lukewarm and bulgur was not bulgur, but cold kisir! 14.50 for the plate is a little excessive. Service was very nice, no question. Overall, an absolutely average store. In Cologne, nothing beats the kebab from Adana Et.

For me the tastiest kebab in Cologne. The chicken meat tastes great and is hardly greasy compared to other kebab shops. The bread is freshly baked on site and tastes great too. Both kebab and kebab plates are great. Seats available.

Is a very good kebab shop. I can highly recommend the veal. I thought there was a little too little meat on it despite the “large” kebab plate. The price isn't the best either, there could be more meat on it.

The food is good but unfortunately deliveries don't work at all. In addition, communication is very poor. You wait hungry and the order was simply canceled without giving a reason or information to the customer. Nobody can be reached there by phone.

We found this place while looking for a place to eat a nice doner kebab during our trip to Cologne. They assemble the doner kebabs themselves and bake the bread themselves. Even though I bought it without sauce, the meat was so good that it didn't taste like sauce and the bread was great. In my opinion, if you want to eat a nice Turkish style döner kebab, Cologne is the best place to go. You can eat manufactured doner kebab anywhere and upset your stomach. I have a sensitive stomach and I usually get upset from the doner kebabs I eat from most places. Although the weather was extremely hot here, nothing happened. If I come to Cologne again, I will definitely stop by.

A wonderful shop. My favorite dish there is the classic kebab, which is made with homemade bread, delicious juicy meat and three different sauces (cocktail, yoghurt and chili sauce) and remains simply one of the best kebabs in Cologne. The only point of criticism in my opinion would be the high prices but the taste justifies it quite well ;)

Many well-known YouTubers had already tested this facility positively. That's why we wanted to test/try it. To be honest, we came here with mixed feelings. Because some restaurants - hyped by YouTubers - were simply the opposite. Even many for us. Anyway, we were here yesterday and ordered a Dürüm and a sandwich each!!!! The combination of meat, bread and salad was really delicious! Especially since everything is done by yourself. The meat wasn't loaded with spices! Very tasty👍 Now about the price... 8.50 for a sandwich and 9.50 for a Dürüm may sound like a lot at first. But for the quality it is justified. This is because many normal and industrially produced rotisserie kebabs are not cheaper! So always keep the ball low and really compare objectively and then form a serious opinion 😉

Primitive rock, holds up thanks to quality. Oruc Kebap was already an institution on Kyffhäuserstrasse at the end of the 1990s. Back then, as a carnivore, I ate the kebab in homemade bread. Today, as a vegetarian, I treat myself to the bulgur salad, which tastes just like I know it from Turkey. The employees and the boss, who himself stands behind the counter, are very nice and you greet each other when you meet in Veedel.

I wasn't very hungry so I ordered a small "children's kebab". The bread is delicious, but a layer of meat is definitely far too little for €5(!). Mine bites into it and only has salad in its mouth. That's a fact. A large kebab costs €8.50 and in my opinion is too expensive.

Food is now based on the price very little: Price is way too OVERPRICED at €8.50 - for a kebab in 'child's size', there is random wedding music playing in the restaurant... I was traveling on business and made a stopover in Cologne. I came across this one while looking for a good kebab snack bar. Parking spaces are very rare there, but the long search paid off. The owner was very friendly and the kebab was very tasty. Absolutely recommended. Keep it up!

It was the worst doner kebab I have ever eaten. There was no flavor. The pieces in the so called Salad they put in it were too big. It has nothing to do with taste.

I don't understand why you can give less than 5 stars. I was there again today after 7 years because I moved a little further away. The store has evolved with the decoration and ambience. What remained the same, however, was the friendliness of the staff and the food. We ordered a kebab and a dürüm. In my opinion both were a 10 out of 10. The meat was not too fatty and not too dry either, so perfect! The seasoning of the meat was on point, even with the chicken. The meat was perfectly browned. Cut at the right time. With the kebab, the bread was very fluffy on the inside and at the same time crispy on the outside. At Dürüm the bread was neither overbaked nor underbaked. Just like you know from your mother in the Turkish kitchen at home. The vegetables were very fresh. Parsley and a dash of lemon can also be added to the kebab if desired. Both sauces were also very good. The hot sauce was not too spicy and not too mild. For those wondering if you can pay by card, yes you can. Definitely a clear recommendation!!!

I just had Oruç Kebab for the first time this week because I saw on YouTube that the taste of the kebab is very unique and it's true! The owner is very service oriented, friendly, like the whole team, great! It was worth it, you don't need a lot of sauce to prepare a super tasty kebab if the ingredients are just right! The kebab is really tasty and the employees are averagely nice. However, the shop is very dirty (leftover food) and that doesn't necessarily make you feel comfortable. Unfortunately, many other customers do not necessarily behave in a “mannered manner”. However, this is of course not the fault of the employees.

The internet was open until 3 a.m.... It was closed at 1 o'clock! Now I'm still hungry :(

Don't trust the hype, you'll be disappointed. Positive: Delicious fresh bread, service friendly and helpful. Negative: Dry meat (veal), boring sauce and very flat taste, just tastes like nothing! Rarely have I eaten something so boring. By the way, for this subterranean quality, it is far too expensive at €8.50 Never again.
