I wouldn't even give it one star! I drove here all the way from Essen today – only to be so disappointed. I ordered two lamb durums and a lamb platter with the special bread – everything was completely tasteless and lacking in spices! This place is so unbelievably overrated!!! And they don't even accept card payments 😑😑😑😑 Plus, there are far too few seats. Better to invest your money elsewhere. I totally regret wasting my money on such tasteless food! I honestly was expecting more about the best kebap in Köln, but it just wasn't there. I ordered the lamb sandwich and it was crunchy, the portion was a bit small and probably a bit more of the yogurt sauce would've helped in improving it, I feel like the pickled cabbage was missing in that combination. The hype was bigger than the actual thing but it's still worth a try.

I'm not from Cologne myself, but I've been to Kebapland at least once on every visit to Cologne. Why? Quite simply, because they serve one of the best Adana kebabs with crispy grilled bread and sauce. You won't find anything else like it in Germany. The building may not be a 5-star restaurant, but the food and the preparation of the dishes deserve a full 5 stars. I've always been impressed by the new restaurant and will continue to visit Kebapland Cologne every time in the future. Try it and see for yourself...

Treat yourself to Kebab Land. Even the vegetarian options are top-notch. Because there were no falafel on the menu, I thought a vegetarian dürüm would simply be some salad with sauce. Instead, my dürüm was filled with smoky grilled vegetables, spicy rice, and spicy sauce. Delicious, affordable, and quickly prepared. Definitely worth a visit!

The Adana itself is truly delicious; you can taste that it's freshly made. Even though it's lamb, it doesn't have a muddy flavor. I think this engine oil is overrated. Simply put, it's a smoky oil with a hint of paprika powder. I suspect it's lamb fat that was created when the skewers were grilled, or fat trimmed off when the meat was cut, which is rendered, seasoned, and elongated. Yes, it's delicious, but it doesn't have the WOW effect that was expected after the hype.

It was described to me as the best in the city: I confirm. I was told we'd have to wait half an hour: I confirm. I was told it's almost impossible to get a seat inside: I confirm. If you go to Kebapland, you know you'll have to wait in line, you probably won't get a seat, but at least you'll have eaten an excellent kebab at prices that are no different from those of any fast food restaurant these days. We were eagerly anticipating finally trying an Adana Dürüm today, but were sadly disappointed. What we got had nothing to do with a real Adana Dürüm. In our opinion, the product is overrated (hyped). For the quality and the ambiance, it was significantly too expensive. While the meat itself was good, the combination of sauce and salad simply didn't make the overall result tasty. The taste was just off. Added to that was a very long wait, which was completely worth it. I was already skeptical, but my friends were eager to eat here. In the end, they were even more disappointed than I was. We will definitely not be coming here again.

They said they've been in Germany for 4 years and haven't had a decent kebab anywhere. This is the place. We said, "Man, there's a queue. If there is a queue, it's worth the wait. We waited in the rain for half an hour. You're doing so much work. You could build an awning to keep people from getting wet. There's nowhere to sit. A place with wooden benches and tables, just like old schools, fits 8-10 people at most. We decided to have kebabs. Wow, we ordered. The meat tasted awful. I couldn't taste the sauce. We wanted lamb shish. It was a loaf of bread. You couldn't see the meat inside. There weren't any greens on top. It was ketchup, yogurt, or mayonnaise. Some weird sauce. Should I curse the 120 km I've come to, or should I be mad at the fact that I waited in line in the rain? I don't know what to say. It's just a kebab. You've made a name for yourself, don't ruin it, brother.

Finally, I arrived at Kebabland. The wonderful smoky aroma wafted across the street toward me; I could practically smell it from the train tracks. Despite the hustle and bustle, there wasn't a long line this time, and the many orders were processed quickly – so the wait was hardly worth mentioning. On the plate were grilled chicken, lamb, and buttery-tender chicken wings, all superbly seasoned. The absolute highlight for me, however, was the Adana skewer: wonderfully seasoned, with a spicy texture that immediately made you want more. The spicy sauce and yogurt sauce rounded it all off perfectly. Side dishes like rice, bulgur, and salad were also excellent. I particularly enjoyed the crispy fried bread, which – as is fitting – was brushed with "motor oil." It was a truly fantastic experience. I felt amazing – smoky and stuffed.

Anyone reading this is probably wondering why almost everywhere gets 5 stars. It's quite simple: it tastes simply amazing. I had the Adana skewer with the bread (in my opinion, it would have been even better if it had been grilled longer with that amazing sauce). The staff are friendly and space out the tables, and that's the downside: there aren't many, and if you're unlucky, there's nothing available, or you end up waiting.

I was there for the first time yesterday. I've tried many shops in North Rhine-Westphalia, and this one was getting a lot of hype, so I wanted to see for myself. My first impression was good: pleasant smell in the shop, quick delivery after ordering, the Adana dürüm was neatly packaged, and the meat was thickly sliced and juicy. However, the taste didn't convince me at all. I had to wait at least 30 minutes just to order, the dürüm bread looked like a simple supermarket wrap and was definitely not homemade, and I also found the much-praised engine sauce completely overrated. Overall, a disappointment for me—overly hyped and disappointing in taste. I don't understand the hype from all the food bloggers and wouldn't queue there that long again. I'd be better off eating cevapcici around the corner. If you're in Hagen, you should go to the Hatay Restaurant instead—in my opinion, the best dürüm in North Rhine-Westphalia so far.

On August 9, 2025, after a 45-minute wait, four of us ordered 8 regular Adana. After an additional 20 minutes of waiting, I received my takeaway bag. To be honest, I've been disappointed several times. The meat is completely fatty, and the meat content is accordingly low. Hence the low prices. The taste isn't for me, and the place isn't particularly inviting.

What more can I say? A cult spot in Cologne-Ehrenfeld, super friendly staff, fantastic food, and great prices. You have to be patient, or get there by 11:30 a.m. 😁 Highly recommended, it couldn't be better.

We had Adana Kebap. As a dish, it was really good — more like a mixture of Adana and İnegöl köfte. But if you’re expecting an authentic Adana Kebap, this isn’t it.

There's no invoice, and the order isn't recorded or documented. There were problems with the change, and there's a lot of arguing and mistakes aren't acknowledged.

The food at Kebabland Cologne was really very good and freshly prepared—definitely recommended! Unfortunately, there was a small misunderstanding at the checkout when paying, which wasn't accepted immediately. We were able to sort it out in the end, though. Still, it was a nice visit, and I'll be back.

A completely quaint place. A bit dirty (floor, chairs, door...) The food tasted good. Unfortunately, it was quite charred...clearly grilled, but it was definitely overcooked and completely black. They brought it out to me anyway. I thought that was stupid.

It used to be better... Ten years ago, the dishes were still very good. Now, they're more or less okay. I wouldn't recommend them. The chicken skewer was very well seasoned, but too dry. The lamb skewer was seasoned well, but also too dry. The Adana skewer was good, but nowhere near what it used to be. It's not a traditional Adana kebab anyway, since Kebab Land's kebab isn't spicy, but that doesn't matter. The grilled bread was excellent, very tasty. The tzatziki and spicy sauce were rather average, and the salad was also rather average.

I visited on the recommendation of the reviews and I have to say that it is an absolutely fabulous kebab. Definitely one of the best. I especially recommend their durum flatbread, which, compared to the competition, was literally pulled out of the oven, freshly baked and beautifully warm. Great! EDIT 2024: I recently visited with friends, as we tested 12 kebabs in the city over the weekend and we all agreed that this one is one of the best. Especially the taste of their lamb, which is absolutely exceptional! I can definitely recommend it and I will come back. EDIT 2025: This year I really felt it was weaker than before and the queue was the biggest.

A hygiene concern... First, you shake hands with acquaintances, then it's straight back to cutting salad and rolling out dough. After waiting 15 minutes, I was asked again what I would like to order. Furthermore, one of the employees was quite rude. Then, due to conversations with the acquaintances, the flatbread was left in the oven, so it burned. Unfortunately, a new one wasn't used.

I visited the restaurant today because I'd heard so many positive things about the pizzas, and my expectations were even exceeded! The Italian Hawaiian pizza was simply unbeatable: a clear 10/10. The tomato sauce was perfectly seasoned, the cheese was of the highest quality and melted to perfection. All in all, a perfectly harmonious and delicious combination. An all-around perfect experience; I'll definitely be back again!
